07/14/2018Back in march, my car was hit in a parking garage in Miami. It took me months of arguing back and forth with the other driver's insurance company to reach an adequate settlement and rental car arrangement to get my car repaired.Finally, just over a week ago, we finally reach a settlement and can get the ball rolling on the repairs, and I already knew where I wanted to have the repairs done. The owner and staff at Direct Repair Collision have a much better word of mouth reputation around town than the few reviews left here(as of this posting) would indicate. Consult multiple sources of information before making your final decision...as a general rule, but also here.This was the first time I have had to have cosmetic repairs done on a car, and was totally ignorant of the insurance process for doing so. Enter Direct Repair Collision Center. From my estimate to picking up my car just yesterday after the repairs were completed, they were friendly, hospitable, and totally transparent. They humored the myriad of questions I pelted them with at each stage of the process with incredible patience, worked with my work schedule for getting the car to and from them, and kept me up-to-date of the progress being made, as well as any set-backs encountered.The repairs my vehicle required were relatively minor, but still required a certain amount of skill to do, and especially to do well. Upon picking up my car I was met with quality work that left no indication that there was ever a collision.The damage required one of my headlight lenses to be replaced. Since my car is a few years old now, the headlight lenses had started to yellow as they all too often do here under the Florida sun. An aesthetic concern of mine was the dramatic difference that would be so glaringly obvious after the repairs...one new lens, one faded, fogged, yellowed lens. I talked to the owner, and he let me know that they could bring the old lens, that would not be replaced by the insurance claim, back to a near-new appearance. (I would know, and would be able to tell the difference, but most folks wouldn't be able to tell.) They did not disappoint, I had to do a double take when I returned to pick up my car, and for a split second while looking over the finished job I couldn't remember which one had been replaced.Since the the damage was incurred, I had not been as diligent about my cleaning/vacuuming regiments...was kind of disheartened by washing it and not being able to overlook the huge 'boo-boo' on the front bumper. In addition to the cosmetic repairs, they also detailed my car inside and out, which it was (and guys, I apologize for how bad it was), far beyond being in need of.Monday afternoon(7/09/18), I dropped off a car in need of some repairs and a little TLC, and Friday afternoon(7/13/18) I picked up a car that I had forgotten how much I appreciated(especially after being in a rental for a few days), and that had been repaired and pampered far beyond expectation.Give Jeff and his crew a call the next time you find yourself (your car) in need of repair. I am quite sire you will not be disappointed.I have attached a few before and after shots for reference.

These guys did a great job repairing the door on my truck. I can honestly say my truck is in better shape now than it was before the incident happened. Would have been repeat business but it's been acquired by Gerber. No longer run by Cody. Bummer. This is the second time I've walked away from the Gerber chain. I dented a door on spark. Oops. Covered by insurance. Went to local shop I used for truck. Unfortunately bought out by Gerber a national chain. Said they are not accepting USAA, ok veterans take notice. First comment out of new managers mouth. # that disrespectful comment. I left.

The owner Jeff is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, I was really impressed with the body shop, everything was state-of-the-art, state-of-the-art paint booth, the shop is just as nice if not nicer then some of these larger corporate body shops. And I couldn't I have been happier with the quality of the job and the customer service.

First of all I wanna say this place is amazing and close to home and Cody was very professional he helped me set up everything the first day I arrived not knowing what to expect but they did a phenomenal job on my 2011 crown Victoria I am very happy and pleased so big shout out to Direct Auto Cody and his Dad and all of the other employees for making it beautiful again!!!!!! I would recommend this place to any and everyone!!!!!!!!!!

I live all the way in Cape Coral but this is the only shop I will deal with, great honest people that do top notch work. I have taken several different cars to them and they always exceed my expectation. Highly recommend!!

Has changed ownership. Not sure. They were iffy about warranty for other owners. Haven't heard back yet. Been a couple of weeks. Reception was businesslike but guarded.

Very disappointed with the services done on my truck a few years ago done by Direct. I was given a bunch of BS by the owner saying "my paint is the same BMW uses, and it will be matched exactly correct." When I went and inspected the truck, the paint looked fine but couldn't really tell because it was dusty. I did notice the grille was still damaged and hadn't even been repaired and actually still had red paint from the vehicle that collided with the truck. Also found the drivers side shock cover broken. The owner promised to make the needed repairs.I finally go and pick the truck up after it was repaired but didn't notice it much. I was told the shock cover was ordered and would be repaired later on, and HE WOULD CALL ME when the part arrived. Well a month and a half later I hadn't heard word about the part and them being installed, so I finally got frustrated and called to see what the problem was. Owner has the odacity to tell me "Oh the parts been kicking around my office for three weeks." Arrangements were made and the part was installed the following week.I eventually got around to washing and waxing the truck only to find the grille hadn't been sanded or repaired but only painted over including a few deep scratches. The next problem I realized was the front of the truck which was painted all had "orange peel" on it and with the truck in direct sunlight the front which was painted was a different shade all together!!!!!!!!!!! The truck was Ford tuxedo black and the front had a brownish tint to it. It also was only painted to the end of the front door and not blended into the rear doors which shows a lack of skill painting.Also another problem I had was the driver door lock was hanging up. When I disassembled the door panel I found some of the factory hardware was missing.

This shop has always performed extremely well. This is a owner run shop- not a franchise. The owner is always there and has the customers interests in mind. Their work is as good and better than you find even on new vehicles.

After renting a truck from U-Haul in Fort Myers and making my move, I refilled the gas tank and dropped it off at the LaBelle U-Haul location at Direct Collision. The personnel at Direct Collision asked what I needed when I walked in and I told them I was just dropping off the truck he said ok I "just need to make a copy of the contract and you can leave". I said ok and he made the copy. :Later that night something told me I should have gotten some receipt of something so I called U-Haul and they checked my truck in and told me everything was fine and that Collision Direct should have done it. A day later my wife noticed an additional $73 dollar charge on our bank statement. Collison Direct U-Haul outlet had charged us for gas and service charge. I stopped by to ask them about it and they dismissed me telling me to complain to U-Haul. Instead I called the original U-Haul store in Fort Myers provided copies of the bank statement and contract. After 24 hours they called the LaBelle location and told me not to use Direct Collision U-Haul outlet again and that he had credited my account. My feeling is that they intentionally ripped me off. I do not recommend this business for any transaction.I do appreciate the good folks at the Fort Myers U-Haul outlet for handling this in a fast and professional manner.I recommend that U-Haul corporation look into the business practices of this franchise.
