The owner noticed I had a couple of huge ceramic plant pots in the back of my car. He was interested in them and just he grabbed it and said he will give me future service as barter. He was so pushy. He acted like he is your friend. I made an appointment for an oil Change. Tire pressure was not checked and the oil change reset was not completed so I had to go back. When I was getting my car all was done was the reset and he told the mechanic get her out of here!! She got enough!! The pots were valued at least $200. No where near the price of an oil change. I want my pots back!! Every time I pass his shop I get upset!!!The bad reviews are the honest ones. The good ones are hard to believe.

I am 8 months pregnant and was driving 3 hours down to visit my parents for my baby shower weekend when my AC stopped working in my Jeep. I had 30 mins to go to make it to their house, I was drenched in sweat and Tim was able to get my car right in! Tim made me feel welcome, and turned my frown up side down, I was drenched in sweat, feet so swollen, and he was able to fix it by lunch time! I highly recommend him! I have told everyone about him and my parents will be taking their cars to him! He is fair with pricing and reviews everything with you before fixing. I will definitely be back again for all my car issues, (then not buying a Jeep again) LOL hahaha. Oh and you have to have a sense of humor to go there I loved all his jokes!

I had a coolant hose leak and needed an oil change. It took about a week to have both fixed. Tim was very chatty and preferred a cash payment (in order to avoid law suits most likely). I paid cash and was on my way. 2 weeks later my car alerted me saying that the engine oil was dangerously low and to fill immediately! I had to stop and fill up the oil, making me late to work. I told Tim and he said that it is normal for engines to burn oil off!?!?!? My car is a 2019 and I put 119,000 miles on the car, it does NOT just drink up oil! So that is the first lie. Then my car started leaking coolant all over my clients driveways. I towed it into Tim s Garage, in hopes that he would do the right thing and make my car safe to drive. He took the car apart and said that the oil is fine, this is a lie unless they never put oil in it on Feb 7th!!!! I don t know which is worse! I say the lie is worse because it lacks growth and maturity. I had my car towed after Tim priced me for a new coolant tank at $585.00, cash. I now have a mobile mechanic who will do it for $200.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Brought my car in for a oil leak. Tim, the owner asks when I last replaced the spark plugs, I couldn t remember, so he suggested it must be time, then, but not to worry, they would only replace them if needed, and they would save the old ones to show me. I leave the car (overnight) and remember on the way home, he replaced them 15,000 miles ago, and we used $$$$ platinum spark plugs that should last 80,000 to 100,000miles. I called, but got no answer so I left a message to Not change the spark plugs. When I went to pick up my car the next day at three, the garage was closed, my car was left unlocked on the side of the road. Had to Uber home/back to get a spare key as I had a 7 AM flight out of Fort Lauderdale the next morning. Upon returning to pay the bill, Tim says the spark plugs were shot and needed replaced! I ask what is wrong with my car that would cause platinum plugs to go bad after 15,000 miles, he states he doesn t want to argue the point, and accidentally forgot to save the plugs to show me. He takes them off the bill, I pay $800 cash for the oil leak repair. Took my car to a reputable mechanic that was recommended. (All star auto repair in Lake Park)Luckily, my car still has the platinum plugs from last time, not the new cheaper ones that he claimed were installed. And they repaired the oil leak that never got resolved after paying $800. Beards give auto repair shops a bad name!

Brought car in for synthetic oil change and tire rotation at a cost of $120. Drove home and checked oil level only to find that the dipstick still had dirty oil. I therefore changed the oil myself (like I often do) and confirmed that the oil change had not been completed. As nice as Tim comes across, he is not to be trusted by me anymore!

Dropped off my car there, made it very clear to the owner that I wanted an estimate before any work was done because of the fact that it s in the older car and I m not trying to put money into it. Two days later he calls me telling me he did about $700 worth of work, and I asked him why did he do that because I did not authorize anything..? Extremely unprofessional. You don t play with peoples money like that. Especially when the car wasn t even fixed after I picked it up. I do not recommend this business to anybody unless you re going in there for a simple oil change or something.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

Dropped my car to get an estimate on repairing the AC. Got a crazy price so chose no to do it. When I got the the car back, the blower was now also broken and the check engine light was on. Don t know what they did to it but another local place repaired the AC for 1/5 of the price and but still can t figure out the check engine light.

Tim has been working on my G35 for years, and hes always been quick, and on point, and when I get my car back, its fixed, and I have never had to bring the car back to him, for the same problem twice. And the price was always right. He knew I was having come troubles, one visit, and gave me over $300 off the cost of the repairs. My experience has always been a very good one, and I will get back, whenever I need his excellent service. :)

My mom broke down on the Freeway. This place charged her $500 for a tow and a "diagnostic" where he said the car had a blown engine, but he would buy it from her? Ridiculously overpriced tow, buyer beware!!!Update: she had the car looked at in PSL and it was a valve cover fix that cost $116! Beards tried to steal a car from an old lady. But they tell you "have a blessed day" on their vmail message. Crooks.

Beard's is the only garage I feel I can trust completely. I'm a second generation customer and have never felt I was being pushed, scammed or lied to. They're straight up about repairs and costs, reasonable and efficient. My family has been doing business with this Jupiter family owned business for over 40 years. Very grateful and loyal Beard's customer here, because they've earned it!

Spent almost $800 to have all cylinders replaced, then my car was practically un-driveable when I went to pick it up. My car ended up needing a new engine, and they denied not test-driving it after the "repair" (there is no way they test drove it, my car lurched the minute I pressed the gas). Owner was arrogant and insistent that they did everything right, even though my car had to be towed from their place to the dealer for a whole new engine. He would only give a refund on the parts.Service: Electrical repair

Wish I'd read the reviews before taking my son's car to Beards. Never, ever trust a mechanic with immediate availability. I spent almost $900 at the God-awful shop only to leave with a bigger issue that I started with. I went back THREE times in one week to try and get the issue resolved. Never again. I took the car to the shop I should have taken it to in the first place, I'll gladly wait a week for the job to be done right. He needs to spend more time on quality control and less time on the gimicky swag.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Beard s garage is a Jupiter treasure. After meeting Tim and his crew I wouldn t think of taking my 2009 Mini anywhere else. Fast, fair price and a great sense of humor.

A solid shop every time they have worked on my cars and even when they haven't. I recently called about a service that they farm out to a local shop in their network. After checking with their network shop, they called me back and said that I would likely have a better experience with a different specialist, not one in their network, due to my car type. They didn't have the number to the shop they recommended, but the guy at Beard's still offered to run down and get their number for me. They didn't even know I was a former customer and were still willing to go out of their way to make sure I got what I wanted.

As a former Yamaha motorcycle mechanic, after inspecting the work I requested, Tim and his guys not only did a good job, they did it at a fair price and in a timely manner. I can't give them anything but a five star. The fact that they also cleaned those parts removed from the car to replace the new master and slave cylinders was what also prompted me to write this review. Thanks so much Tim and company. I've will be back but hopefully not to soon. Lol

I had a bad feeling with the owner s communication. I should have gone with my gut. Overcharged, (double) and to boot wasn t complete when the job was so called done. Removing the Plate covers he placed on my son s car and mine. And key ring he put on my keys without asking. I would highly recommend steering clear of this repair shop.

I have used Beards since I moved to Jupiter for car maintenance and have always gotten great service. He even offered me a "loaner" vehicle once when my Jeeps radiator unexpectedly failed and I had appointments to make. I'm sure he offered because I'm a regular customer, but seriously - who else does that! The last time he did a break job for me I had a break-cylinder freeze up a few days after and he fixed it while I waited for no extra charge! I have an old vehicle that I really like - things wear out, but thanks to Beards help I can keep driving my old Jeep and not go broke. Thanks Tim!

Horrible, They totally ripped off my daughter. The AAA guy tested my daughter's car and it tested as the alternator was bad. When my daughter brought her car to Beard's garage he said it was the battery and charged her $80.00 to replace the battery, $40.00 to look at her blinker lights, the cost of the battery and a bulb was $165.00. That was all on 4/24/2014. Today on 4/28/2014 my daughters car will no start and when she calls them they say oh it is now your alternator. My daughter asked for her old battery and they said they did not have it. Shady Individual Tim is.....

THE OWNER IS A HACK AND A RACIST. Bought a coil-over kit for my 2015 Mustang GT. I decided to take my car to this junky to have it installed and lowered after reading on their website that they install aftermarket suspension kits. After I dropped it off, he later called me to see if the kit came with instructions which I though was very unprofessional. I was charged $1k for the installation that left one side of my car 3/4" lower than the other. This place is a scam and the owner is hack and a racist. When I was picking up my car the owner jokingly called me the n-word("****er") because I was sweating. Avoid this place their are much better auto shops around the corner. The mechanics at beards are amazing though! I feel sorry that they have to work for this creep because they are solid guys. If you need aftermarket parts installed I recommend Performance Center Auto Repair. Those guys are honest and they do quality work.

One of a best shops in Jupiter! I've lived in Jupiter for 16 years and have gone through my fair share of cars and auto shops, beards has been the most affordable and quickest shop I've found. In the past few months my WJ jeep grand Cherokee has needed a ton of work and each time I shop around beards beats the competition and has saved me over 500.00 bucks! Not everyone is perfect and there is always room for improvement but beards is way out in front in my mind and I would recommend them to anyone.

Way overpriced for work that was done. Owner called and got loud with me as soon as I answered the phone about picking up the car. Mind you, it was they very first phone call he gave me. I had never spoke to him previously because my husband had dropped off my car. I wouldnt send anyone to his shop.

Told me they replaced my Guibo and flex disc on my car. They didn't. When my car was at another shop, they showed me that the guibo and flex disc were the originals from 2004. Tim (the owner) lied to me and literally left the same part in, but charged me $400 to replace it, but didn't replace anything.Tim, I want my $400 back.

Very disrespectful. Doesn't care if you like it or not. Has plenty of signs throughout the shop to let you know how little he cares. I left after he hocked up a load of snot a few feet away from my face and 45 minutes of waiting. I took my business elsewhere and he was not ashamed to let me know he didn't care.
