Worst customer service experience I've had in a while. I called Westside Automotive this morning to ask if they did emissions testing (I know it's not required in the state of Florida, but my car is registered in NC and it's still required to renew my registration each year). The employee who answered the phone told me that they do in fact do emissions testing.So I drove 45 minutes to this location. I walked in the door, greeted the person at the front desk and proceed to explain that I called earlier that morning and I was looking to get an emissions test done on my car. The employee responds saying he "doesn't understand". He says that emissions testing was rules unconstitutional by the state of Florida and he hasn't done an emissions test in 20 years. I tell him that my car is registered in NC, and that I called earlier that morning and the person I spoke with told me they did in fact to emissions testing.He responds with "well I don't know who you talked to". Didn't offer any help, apologies, recommendations. Just looked at me like I was out of luck and there was no fault on their end. Complete waste of time. I hope they treat their other customers better

This is the worst repair shop I have ever gone too. They double dip on putting your car on computer. I have never been charged computer fees after garage had the job.Ladies which I am. This repair shop gave me a quote for 3000.00 in part plus labor. Integrity auto motive. Put my car on flat bed 8 pm at night towed to their shop. Had it back to me next day. There was nothing wrong with my rear-end. I needed a bracket. Cost for repairs with tow. 528.00. Scam I am west side automotive. Beware

They way over quoted me 5 hours and $800 ($500 after paying for today) to replace an orifice tube. It take like 20 to 30 minutes in reality, at most an hour with the removal of parts. The part is only $15.

This place is a rip off. Do not get sucked in to 53 years in business Family own that's the bait Took my Car in for brakes almost 1000 later Brake light is still on and peddle to floor told me the second$550 I would have. a brand new brake system also he had my truck 7 days when he told me the next day 9am they tell you what you want to hear as they are twisting the knife

Took my van in to get oil pan replaced don't know what they did after 800 dollars still leaking oil more then it did..please people don't do business with them they will rip you off

Seriously though. I walked in after 3pm and was greeted right away.The one lady so FULL of energy asked me what's my issue. She went and spoke with a mechanic who said they could fit me in. I wasn't there a hour. I'd already gone to a shop on blah blah and was told my situation would cost me 3 hours labor, plus parts, and taxes. Westside Automotive fixed my car and charged me a flat fee of $30 dollars. The mechanic knew what he was doing, therefore the shop manager said just pay that amount. Heck I tipped an extra $10. I am going back when there's another issue and I have already spread the word about this place.Service: Air conditioning

AVOID AT ALL COSTS: would leave zero starts if I could, employee assured me my car would be safe and locked up during its service. My car was left on the side of cassat ave with the doors UNLOCKED. All of my belongs were stolen out of my car. When I let the employee know his response was " Oh yeah, that happens all the time"... I'm sure one of the employees themselves robbed me of HUNDREDS of dollars worth of my belongings. Including my vehicle registration, manual and personal items. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THEVES.

This is the BEST auto shop in Jacksonville! They are professional with great prices and awesome customer service. They go above and beyond to make their customers happy. Nobody better in Jacksonville!

Never buy a car or do business with this company ever they like to sue people for double the amount the car is worth when repo situations are involved. This company has unorthodox methods on selling their vehicles and suing you 13 years later with you having no clue of what s going on. They will not accept any payment plans that I offered so they garnished $15,000 out of my bank account. This place has no heart no human courtesy and should be shut down immediately.

My AC went out overnight and I had a vision of a huge repair bill for a compressor or condenser or something else that would cost a ton. Took the car in and right away a mechanic came out to diagnosis the car and found that a fuse under the dash had blown, he replaced it in 30 seconds and all was good. They would not even accept the fee to check out the car even thou I would of happily paid it. They were completely honest and very courteous. I WILL return there for any repair needs in the future. These guys are great and honest and have done a wide range of services on all three of our vehicles. Fair prices and they stand behind their work and if you need something done that they don't do they give you names of places to go. Work is done in a timely manner and they let you know up front the price.

They replaced my alternator on my 2016 Tahoe that I just purchased 2 x weeks ago. I was able to drop it off by 0800 & they had it done 3pm. I had purchased additional repair coverage & the cost of the alternator was cover but the cables lead from the alternator to the battery were damaged. They did their best to get those paid for to but were not able. I appreciate the effort & the concern to help me save money. They also give a Military discount. They have done work on my KIA Optima & have always done right by me & called to give me options. Will continue to take my vehicles there for any electrical work & will highly recommend them.Good & friendly people work there.Service: Electrical repair

One of the best garages on the westside. Always friendly and have the skilled staff to do the repairs on today's newer cars and trucks. Don't go to the dealerships and pay 3x more. Trust me.

Great service. I've taken my car twice to Westside Automotive & they have treated me great. They take care of the issue & tell you what is will cost & how much time it will take. This last time I took my car in was for my front drive side seat. It was reclined all the way down and I could not get it back up. They told me it was 1 or 4 motors in the front seat, but would be able to get the seat back up & if & when I want to replace the motor they will order it. I will always take my vehicle to Westside Automotive for any electrical work. Very satisfied.

We re often weary of mechanics , I certainly am. Especially when your car has to get to the nearest mechanic cause it stops working. I got lucky my car made it to Here.These guys were no BS, looked at my car right away and fixed even quicker. When they had every opportunity to sock-it-to-me , my car was stuck there , they didn t. Pricing was really fair , detailed explanation of issue and fix, and FRIENDLY.The one minor issue which was MY mistake for not asking, I thought the diagnostic was credited towards the repair, was not. My fault for not asking and the price of the fix was fair and they were super chill / helpful about everything that it was really a non issue. At the end of the day , I left happy and my car back running like a champ.Thanks Guys!!!

I have been using Westside Automotive for more than 30 years for all my vehicle needs and have NEVER had a bad experience. They are the epitome of professionalism and I wholeheartedly trust them. I started using them when I began driving because this is the shop that my father used before me. Did I say that I trust them?

Chris and his crew were very honest and helpful with multiple major repairs to our Civic. They even stayed late after hours to ensure same-day return of our vehicle! First off, I am very particular who work on my car. I was using another automotive repair shop but the mechanic (Who was the only guy I let touch my car) let me know he was leaving the area and probably will not the returning. He told me to try guys at Westside Automotive. I gave them a try and never looked back. For over 6 months now, I trust them with all my vehicles (5). They do a great job. After trouble diagnostics, they give you everything you need to know; Parts prices, mechanics price, and overall time frame. And If you chose to differ, you may have to pay for diagnosis, but what shop doesn't. Then you can make your own decision.

My roommate and I have taken multiple vehicles to Westside Automotive. I find that they have always stuck to their estimates. They haven't tried to sell me more than I needed. They've also had the repairs done in a good amount of time. And they're prices are reasonable. It's just a relief to find a mechanic I trust.

I called Westside Aurtomotive on Friday and was told my vehicle wouldn t be seen until Monday or Tuesday. Fine. I called on Wednesday at 4pm and was told the battery needs to be replaced before they can get a legit reading. Ok yes please replace battery. They said they would call me back. I call back on Thursday at 1pm. Your car is being test driven right now to see if it was just the battery. I get an Uber at 3pm. I hear the scheduling guy complain to the tech that I just showed up for no reason. And by the way it was just the battery. The bill after replacing the battery? $484!! To be fair $65 was for tow and the did give me the best top of the line $188 battery which I wasn t really given an option about, but that s my fault. I took my car here because I had been there a couple of years ago with a different manager and the place has gone waaaaaaaay down hill. When I asked about the time it was taking the manager told me I can t help when these guys show up to work, I only have 1 guy checking cars. If these mechanics aren t reliable enough to show up to work, are they reliable enough to fix your car properly when they do show up? Then when I went to see what battery they installed and I didn t have the right tool to access the compartment. And I noticed that a tech had lost his 10mm blue point snap-on socket in my floorboard. When I returned the socket to the shop, I asked for the warranty info for the $188 battery they installed, he refused on every level to give me and info about the battery and refused to open the compartment so I could take a picture of it. At the end of the day this shop took 6 days to tell me my battery needed to be replaced, and charged $484 for the job. It s a 2012 Chevy.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Al at Westside is the best. He goes out of his way to be helpful to his customers and we appreciate it so much. Last time my daughter was there, she stopped in without an appointment to see if she could get an oil change as she was headed out of town. It's not uncommon for people to get busy and loose sight of excellent customer service but Al goes above and beyond and our family appreciates you.

So thankful for the help we received from Al Davis and team at Westside. We were halfway through our family vacation road trip (day one), with a timeline to reach our destination in NC, when our car unexpectedly broke down. They worked hard to get us back up and running and on the road as quickly as possible. What should have/could have been three of four hours, delaying our journey, was completed efficiently within less than two hours. The lobby was comfortable for our family to wait. Even the restrooms were clean and pleasant. Al was funny and engaging in conversation as we waited and helped to put our minds at ease.

Love West Side Automotive! I have been a customer for the past 3-4 years and wouldn't trust anyone else with my car. I get great customer service, support, deals, and any/all questions answered. Chris has kept my car from literally falling apart and made me feel safe driving away. I highly recommend that if you're looking to support local businesses and need a mechanic fo to West Side Automotive. Unprofessional establishment. I came to this place to have them perform a buyer's inspection on my vehicle that I'm selling privately. While waiting for them to inspect my vehicle, I look outside to see the mechanic and another customer getting into my car. They used my car to take a customer home without even asking me. I spent hours detailing the car to get it ready to sell, and they had 0 regard of my liability or preference for my personal property.When I brought it up to the service manager, he guilted me into letting the guy ride "Oh, he's just 3 blocks away. We have to take your car on a test ride anyway, just killing two birds with one stone."I understand efficiency, but at least asking my consent FIRST would have been the correct first step. I never even spoke to these people before, the potential buyer scheduled this inspection. The level of presumption took me aback.

One of the most difficult things to do is to establish trust with any service provider. This had never been the case with Westside Automotive Inc.
