Subaru of Jacksonville is THE place to go for a Subaru! I purchased my first new car and first Subaru (WRX) from them! I couldn t have dreamt of a better experience. My salesman Kevin Crosby was great! He s very transparent and not pushy whatsoever. He did everything he could and then some to make sure I left there in my dream car! I can t recommend him enough! Went in for a scheduled service and to assess some damage a towing company had caused. They took the time to show me the car (on the lift) and explained what they had found. They proceeded to make all repairs and even addressed a couple of issues initially not noticed. Hats off to James (Service) and Wyatt (Technician)! They are truly customer focused and passionate about what they do!

I m giving a 1 star for the time being so that this message can be given to the entire car sales team. I 100% believe that you should educate your customers that when replacing tires you must replace all 4 tires due to it being a AWD. I purchased a Crosstrek and received roadside assistance on a blown tire. For the next year my low pressure light kept coming on at least once a week. I took it to the dealership 3 times to have them look at it. Not one person picked up that there was a different tire. It literally took over a year of this back and forth. I was driving my husband crazy with putting air in the tire. Finally my uncle a mechanic for 30 years asked to look and immediately figured out what was going on. We took it to his shop and replaced all 4 tires. 3 months later we have not had any issues. I m sitting here getting an oil change which prompted me to tell this story. Every salesman needs to know this and relay it to their customers. Subaru drivers are smart but dumb when it comes to cars. Subaru buyers are loyal. This is my first Subaru and I m Subaru for life. Just wish I had known. Would have save a lot of heartache.

I was just with my son who bought a used car from Ray about 2 weeks ago. I observed how kind, thorough, knowledgeable and respectful he was with him. I immediately trusted what he said and the work put into getting a used car ready for resell. He made the whole example so relaxing and enjoyable! I couldn't be more happy with my experience and purchase at Subaru of Jacksonville! Throughout my entire experience Matthew was extremely helpful in helping me find the perfect car for me. He went above and beyond by explaining every single feature of the car and making sure I fully understood how they worked before driving off the lot. He even changed some of the settings on the car to make it safer for a young female, such as disabling the doors from automatically unlocking when the car is placed into park. I felt that every step of the way Matthew and Subaru were honest with the pricing and never once tried to scam me, like other dealerships in the area. Trusting the dealer was extremely important to me as I was a young female buying a car alone and Subaru had my full trust every step of the way. I highly recommend Subaru of Jacksonville and will 1000% be recommending them to family and friends who are searching for new cars!!

Very disappointed, we have a 2016 Subaru Outback that we purchased new. We have had all but one oil change and all service done at Subaru of Jacksonville. About three years ago we noticed paint peeling off our vehicle in a couple of places. Not where there were dents or other damage, we pointed it out at a service appointment and at that time pictures were taken and we were told it would be looked into and we would be contacted. Since then we have voiced our concern at every service appointment and have been told we will get back to you and again nothing. Doing our own research we have found out that white painted Subarus seem to have this problem. Toyota had the same issue but chose to fix the issue, apparently Subaru is just going to make believe it isn t a problem. It is! And it is seriously changing our opinion of Subaru as a car maker we may choose again. This is our third Subaru and possibly our last, too bad because we love the car just not happy with the lack of care taken in what we have repeatedly point out.Would love to hear from Phil Porter what could be done about this issue.

Purchasing a vehicle can be a very stressful event due to the evasiveness of some dealerships when it comes time to negotiating the final price. I went through 7 dealerships before settling on Subaru of Jacksonville. These guys offered me the best "out the door" price, with no haggling, in minimal time! They understand the fine line of making an acceptable profit while still giving the customer a very competitive price. Such was the deal that I drove 5 hours in order to purchase my new car. I want to sincerely thank Nando (sales) and Patrick (finance) for making this such a smooth and pleasant experience.

I bought myself a new 2023 Subaru Ascent Touring in black on the Java Brown Nappa leather last Saturday (3-11-23) and really like this vehicle after one week of ownership. I never thought I would ever own a Subaru as I always viewed the brand as not in line with how I see life. I realized after test driving the Ascent two weeks ago at Orange Park Subaru that I really loved the vehicle, and I wanted something a little larger then my almost new 23 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy AWD. I think the Ascent gets a bad name from being a 4-cylinder turbo and anyone considering a Palisade or Telluride should seriously give the Ascent a look. I have owned 2 Palisades Calligraphy SUVs as well as a Kia Telluride SX Prestige Nightfall SUV and both are great, but the Ascent Touring is right there with them only lacking a few features of the other two SUVS in their top trim level. However, these other two SUVs come at a higher price point in this area. Subaru gives you so much more value for your dollar and also has many of the accessories already on the Monroney label vs the Palisade or Telluride. In my first 285 miles, I am getting about 26 MPG and that is not bad at all for a three row AWD SUV. Next, I want to thank the ownership here as this is a family-owned small dealer mindset here and I love that. Other dealer groups around Jacksonville, whether publicly traded like Coggin or privately owned like Hanania or Nimnicht just have a very different vibe when you are negotiating your car deal. Hats off to Mr. Porter here for only having one dealer doc fee and making it reasonable by Florida's egregious standards. It's so refreshing to see a dealer owner go for the long-game and repeat business versus squeezing the most gross profit out of every new vehicle purchase. I negotiated as hard as I could, and I appreciate all that management did to step up on my trade and price their vehicle where this deal made sense to me as this was a want and not a need. Finally, my sincere gratitude to Steven Barba who was so nice and gentle to deal with both on the phone and in-person too. You almost have to ask him to speak up as he is mild mannered; this is not your typical FL car salesperson and I love that too. Pushy and aggressive people bring the NY person right out of me, and I don't want to go back there to live ever again. Steven even came by my home this week on Thursday to show me the Ascent in more one on one detail as I am totally new to Subaru and did not really understand that huge 11.6 inch display and all of its features. How many mass market brand dealers would allow their salespeople to come a customer's house after the sale is complete? Thank you Steven, as you are aces in my book and I am a royal pain in the rear to do a car deal with so thank you sir! Finally, Ovidio in the Finance office made the credit card deposit and personal check acceptance with my trade vehicle paper title about as easy as it could be and five minutes from start to finish. Thank you Ovidio for not being pushy during the Finance process as that is very much appreciated. The culture here is anathema to most FL car dealership groups so if you are considering a Subaru, do your research but contact Steven Barba when you are ready to make a deal. Mr. Porter, the culture at Subaru of Jacksonville is a direct reflection of how you do business and I thank you for making the car buying process a little less adversarial. Now, if only you owned a Kia store, I would buy my next Telluride from you!

Bought a used car and it was by far the most pleasant experience I ve had at a dealership! Ray P. was so nice, easy to talk to, and reasonable in his approach. The process was simple, and although I hopefully won t need a car for a while, I will absolutely recommend Subaru of Jacksonville at the top of my list!

Tommy from the Service Department was extremely nice knowledgeable and helpful.He had my 2016 Subaru Forest service without an appointment on a Friday late afternoon prior to closing.Oil Change and vehicle Check up was done in less than 1 hr.And I was out back on the road!Definitely..one of the best Subaru dealership I've been to while on a Coast to Coast Road Trip.Professional Friendly Staff, and Reasonable Good Prices.Thank you!

This is what a car dealership should be. JRhone made the whole experience a real pleasure. He was open and honest, Didn't beat around the bush, and told us the out the door price when we asked without any hassle. When he found out I was a veteran, he told me about their veteran bonus ($500 at the time of writing this). There were no hidden fees!!!! Walked out with a new Subaru Outback, originally we had wanted to a rav4, but this experience and the right price with no hidden extras really has made me a Subaru fan! I will be a costumer for as long as I live here...maybe for life. Thanks guys for making it so Great!!

This past year, when I finally got the back money that Social Security owed, I went to Hannania first and they were not willing to work with me on a cash deal, So I came over to Subaru of Jacksonville and talked with Joe and at first we did not agree on a deal, but Joe was willing (even after I left the dealership) to get the deal I wanted and did get the deal for my Outback. When it comes time for me to trade it in and get a different car, I will be back to see Joe. The people that work there are nice and decent people and they will help you out. There service department is great also, this past Oct I took it in for it s first oil change and I did not have to wait long and I did not have to make an appointment.

I just purchased my second Subaru from this dealership and I couldn't be happier with my experience. I worked with Kimberly Schneid, Daniel Kane, and Ovidio Cirtina and they truly went above and beyond to make sure I got the best deal possible. Not only did they beat TrueCar pricing, but they were also cheaper than all the other Subaru dealerships in Jacksonville.What I appreciate the most about this dealership is that they value their repeat customers. My sister and I went to test drive a used vehicle. The salesman couldn t even pull the vehicle out and show us a walk around the vehicle and was on his phone most of the time. Then we come in for numbers, we made it clear where we were trying to be at. Didn t even come close to the number and then wanted us to sign a commitment form if they could do the price, than we would buy the vehicle. A 1980 s car sales manager tactic to not have their time wasted as if any customer enjoys spending a day at car dealership, our time was wasted. Well this is 2024, where customer service is just as important as the vehicle itself. The car manager didn t come out and told his sales guy well when they are ready to commit I ll sharpen my pencil. Another 1980 s sales tactic. Needless to say we bought another vehicle a few dealerships down the same day. Highly recommend Coggins Honda, very professional customer service, oh and friendly. Subaru is reputable, this dealership, not so much.

Took my car in for routine maintenance and when I went to pay had a surprise charge for wiper blades that no one had asked me about. When I questioned it, they gave me a free oil change for not asking me first. Then, when I got home they called me back and reimbursed me for the blades (since it should have been free to begin with, but they made a clerical error). Overall it seemed a little disorganized, but their outstanding customer service made up for what would have otherwise been a below average experience.

Easily the best dealership I have ever purchased from in 40 years. Lowest fee anywhere. Prices were good. NO SURPRISE FEES!! Warranty price was amazing especially on a 5 year old Subaru with 80k miles. It is a 5 year warranty with unlimited miles. They just treat you right and it s a welcome breath of fresh air. Why would I go anywhere else for my auto needs?! I have told all my local family and friends to check them out. My First Subaru but definitely not my last. Nando (test drive expert) Kenny and Ovidio were all a pleasure to do business with. Oh yeah I was in and out in under 2 hours,. I only had to wait briefly on paperwork printing and it came with a FULL TANK OF GAS. Wonderful Standards here. Too bad others don t have them.Also a minor issue found the next morning, they agreed to fix it and gave me a loaner, they treat you like no other. My 15 year old daughter was so happy at her surprise car.

Experience was rather different. Talked with 3 different people texting me from the same number. Once we landed on a car the process was rather fast. No hassel with what I wanted or not wanted. Sales rep went over the cars feature in fine detail not skipping even the basics. The finance office was the best part (usually my most hated) because paperwork was in order, he hit all the important parts to me. Touched on add-ons of my choice and bam we were done. No hidden games. No stacking points. Just "sign here"! This is the way it should be.

This was a very pleasurable experience for me. From the initial text and phone calls with Alice to the salesman Ray Powdrell to the Finance person as well (I can't remember his name at this moment). I would highly recommend if someone is interested in a Subaru to come visit this dealership and ask for Ray Powdrell.I had initially went over to the Orange park subaru and my first words to the salesman over there was "I would like to see and sit in a forester. I dont have time for anything else and I can come back next week to discuss things but I'm not here to talk numbers." He was very insistent that he needed to know what kind of monthly payment I would be comfortable with. After his 3rd time asking me that in less than 8 minutes I told him "I haven't had a car payment in 2.5 years. My preference is no car payment so please don't ask me that again." That salesman at orange park subaru tried all the sleazy car salesman tactics, like bringing over the manager, mentioning sales promotions that were "only today" and bla bla bla.It didn't feel like a good fit for me at Orange park subaru so I reached out to the Jacksonville Subaru and Alice was very helpful with my initial questions and told me they were open until 8pm (it was 6pm) and said you are welcome to come by any time (no pressure). I decided to drive up there and 40 minutes later I arrived and Alice instructed me to speak with Ray. I met with Ray he showed me exactly what I asked to see with out any questions or standard salesman tactics. We went for a test drive and he was very patience explaining many aspects of the vehicle to me, as this is my first Subaru. It was getting late and my wife and daughter were hungry. I asked if I could leave a deposit and come back the next day to discuss financing and the details. Still no pressure and I left $1000.00 deposit on my Amex (which is fully refundable if it doesn't work out).I returned the next afternoon, still no pressure from Ray, he was very calm and relaxed the entire time. He really made this a very smooth process for me. After a little time discussing things with Ray, I met with the financing person. He was also super relaxed and there was no pressure. He went over the interest rates for financing and we discussed options and still no pressure and a very smooth process.Overall I am very happy with my purchase of a Subaru Forester Wilderness model. I highly recommend anyone and everyone interested in a Subaru to come see Ray. I plan to trade in my Lincoln in January of 2024 and I fully intend to come see Ray again for a 24 outback model. I'm actually quite excited about going back for another vehicle from them. I'll update the review when I go back!!!

Nando is an absolute treasure, I wasn t ever pressured nor did i know exactly what i wanted however he had the patience and expertise to help narrow things down. I told him that I honestly wanted a jeep and he let me go to the other dealership to check out what they had. Bad decision! They treated me so poorly that I turned around and ran right back to my new SUBI fam!! Thank you for taking great care of your customers. Shoutout to ryan as well. Everyone left with a deal
