Had a great experience at Shifter s. First took my 2018 Hyundai Tucson into the Hyundai dealership for evaluation. My car wasn t shifting past 3rd gear smoothly. The dealership told me I needed a new transmission for $10k! I took my car to Shifter s and they told me the transmission was fine. They replaced the catalytic converter and had my car back in 2 days. Couldn t have been happier!

Whereas the Valvoline at 11804 E Colonial Dr in Orlando said my transmission was leaking, Shifters examined my transmission and found no issues other than the fluid cap having been loosened

After driving almost 2000 miles for vacation I heard a whining noise coming from what I thought was the transmission. I called Shifters and he said bring it in and he ll take a look, numerous other places didn t have the time.He called me an hour later and said my truck was ready and the noise was coming from my power steering, he topped it off and no more noise. He very easily could ve charged me an arm and a leg knowing I was on vacation and had a camper to tow home. These guys are as honest as the day is long. I would highly recommend them. Thanks for restoring my faith in some people

Shifters on Main is the absolute best! I have taken at least five of my cars to them, from my 1970s Buick, to my 2012 F-350 Super Duty. The service is top notch! In and out with very little wait time. They installed my transmission in my Avalanche in 2008 and it has not leaked one drop of fluid. Had my vehicle serviced by shifters and was very happy with the results. Previously 2 shops quoted me for a full transmission replacement. Shifters found an issue and repaired it without replacement. Car runs back like new. Very pleased. I can truly say my experience at Shifters was the best experience ever.Ms.Dianna was completely amazing from start to finish. I Originally came the shop thinking I need a transmission because that is what I was told by another shop. Ms. Dianna tell me give them a couple of days and we will see a we need to do. Received a phone call good news don t need a transmission but Jason still needs a couple of days. Received another phone we need your permission to order a part is that okay sure I was never left in the dark on what need to happen to my truck.They was Honest and took there time to find what was going on with my truck . I strongly recommend anywhere to go and check shifters out and they also have a new location on Dunn s Avenue and ask for Mike they will take good care of you.Service: Electrical

When it comes to getting anything on my truck looked at I always get nervous about it. But from the second I called to when I picked it up they made me feel so comfortable that I felt like I had been going for years. Repair ended up being a little cheaper then what they quoted me. We went in last Wednesday, greeted by Mr. Steve (great guy) who has been there 16+ years, very friendly and informative. The place was also very clean and welcoming! About 2 hours after drop off, they informed me what need to be done and need 3-5 days. Picked up car today (done yesterday) runs great and great price for transmission rebuild. Thanks again guys.

I took a 1995 Ford F-150 I was considering buying from a dealer down the street there. I asked if they could perform an inspection for me. They were fast and efficient and clearly know their stuff. We didn t end up purchasing the truck, but we will be sure to return back to them for any future needs. I appreciated their patience and candor. Thanks a million!

About a year ago, while traveling, my transmission went in my 1999 RV. I called several shops, but by far, Shifters was not only the best price and guarantee, but I soon found out they were unbelievably honest.There was a little life left in the transmission and while barely making it on the lift, fluid was spewing every where.They gave me a solid quote for a rebuild transmission, but, also explained there could be other issues because of all of the fluid leaking out, in which, my first thought was I'm going to get screwed.A couple of days later they called to tell me the job was finished. They were real fast, which saved me a couple of hundred in car and hotel costs, and they informed me there were no other issues and the bill was as quoted.They had the perfect opportunity to charge me more and it would have been not only believable, but understandable.That is honesty!!!A rare business indeed- great price, quality, guarantee, and super honest to boot.Thanks for your great work!Service: Transmission

Shifters was suggested to me by another transmission shop as being one of the best in Jacksonville. I have to say after my experience with Andy and Steve, they were right. Very pleased with the professionalism, value, and timeliness of the service that I was provided. If I ever have transmission troubles again I will definitely be going to them. Highly recommended!Update on my original post 8 months ago, my vehicle is still working just fine they have done an absolutely amazing job on my transmission issues. Again, if I ever have any problems, Shifters is where I'm going! Keep up the great work guys.

I've been dealing with Andy close to 17 years. We own an auto repair shop in Fernandina, but we don't do internal transmission repairs. We had gone through many shops and big named shops at that, but Andy and his team have always been honest and easy to talk too. We've had a few of our personal transmission's done there as well, and I'm always happy with their work. My last transmission had some serious issues, and that caused a repeat problem. They got it back in and resolved the issue, I understand how things can happen, the deal is there way they handled it and took care of my truck is why I will always recommend them. The way you handle a return repair can make me a lifetime customer, or run me off forever, but I will be a shifters life time customer, they resolved the issue professionally and quickly. No shop can say they've never had a come back, that would be a lie, it's how you handled that comeback that impressed me!!!!! Thank you for every thing Shifters!

If I live to be 500, I'll take my transmission problems to THESE guys. I was told by another shop that I needed a new transmission. I had my car towed to this shop. They told me I had a blown fuse, and it'd be 133 bucks to fix. ANY other shop would've replaced that transmission and charged me upwards of 1800 dollars. These guys honesty, integrity, and quick work is surely appreciated in THIS day and age. Andy and Steve are heaven sent when you got transmission problems. THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS !!!!

Miata's are special and so is Shifter's Transmissions. 4 months ago I had my clutch "replaced and repaired" by a shady mechanic that would not back it's national warranty when the clutch broke again a week later. He said he wouldn't honor the guarantee because I had moved to Jacksonville. On top of the clutch breaking again (or was never fixed), my transmission started having issues too. Thankfully, I found Shifters and their excellent, friendly, transparent team. They fixed the problems and cut their costs as much as they could without effecting quality service. The reason you may have to wait a few days for them to work on your car is warranted. Worst service repaired and rebuilt our transmission 3 times, truck sat in the shop for a week and a half only to have it missing parts and still not fixed. Do not recommend this place. Buyer beware! You willHave sub par people working on you stuff and they take no responsibility for there mistakes or for your lost time.Service: Transmission

Andy and the crew replaced my 2011 Camry manual transmission clutch in 2 days for a good price compared to three other shops. I also got 50% off parts online rather than local purchase. THANK YOU! My only suggestion to them is to test drive the car afterwards over bumps without greasy shoes.Thanks again.
