Worst experience that I have ever had dealing with an over rated under delivering business for my car collection!!Case:My AM DB9 S headliner finally gave with its non-Florida glue and I had to get it taken cared of. I ve heard and gone to Sargents before and had some good dealings with the service manager.I made an appointment to get the vehicle seen.First issue: brought the car in for scheduled appt and was told to bring the car back in the afternoon because the person that knew of them called in late. You d think they would call and re-schedule for later in the day??? Nope! Made me come in drive 53 miles round trip and bring it in that afternoon again for another trip in a V-12!!Second issue: So I obliged their request and left it for two or so days to be told that they did not want to take it apart and to bring the headliner to them after I find someone to take it down?!?!? Are you serious??? This is literally their job to take these cars and re-do upholstery.Never the less, took me 30mins, a few tools, and my time to do so. So I did do the job and brought them the headliner in about as long as it took me to drive again (3rd round trip)Third issue: Was quoted a certain price which is astronomical in price but I felt that their rep was worth the result.. so I thought!! Gave them the days to take the headliner apart, clean the residue and old padding, and re-attach it. I thought the job would take some time but they literally called me back the next day and said it was ready. I said, WOW, ready already? They said yes. I asked if I can leave it over the weekend so the adhesive can set well and I can be wow ed by the job.Final issue: I come in Monday morning and I see my headliner under some wet rags and a plastic covering. I talked to the manager Mike and introduced myself, and he walked me over to my headliner my mind was blown!!! I asked him if he was serious and he asked me what was wrong. I asked him where my real headliner was at and he said let me get the tech who did it .Tech came out, no intro, no good morning, but charged with attitude. He asked what is wrong with it ?? I asked if he had taken a good look at his work, he said, yup and did not offer an explanation good enough to satisfy a person with an IQ of 1. Regardless, he said that the leather was like that when he got it and could not do anything to stretch or make better. Do you think they called me to advise me prior??? Not a peep!!!!I do not recommend this place if you have a luxury car or a stadium butt pad!! Quality, workmanship, and overall customer satisfaction has gone down the drain with the passing of the torch to millennial standards and woe-is-me attitudes.AM

Sean T. was fantastic. He helped me design a fantastic seat for my Triumph TR7 restoration. I brought the seats and a few pics of the car that was in the process of being painted at a different shop. I wanted bold, and he nailed it. The pic I am posting is of the passenger seat and the driver's seat can be seen but it is not bolted in just yet. We chose a black vinyl seat with a hounds tooth black and gold inlay and gold piping. Everything came out perfect and the seats really make the car pop. They also met an aggressive timeline to get me the seats just in time for an event where I wanted to show off the car. I could not be happier. I highly recommend!Services: Classic car upholstery, Custom upholstery design, Upholstery installation

Enrique and the guys at the shop were 100% helped me recover a MX seat that Sargent Cycles, next door didn't want to cover. If you got a MX seat and need a fresh seat cover. Pick one up and bring it to Enrique at Sargent Upholstery on 1st street!

Got the headliner replaced in my 2016 XF, great service at a reasonable price and the turn around time was good too. Very pleased with the work and will likely bring more vehicles to them. The service advisor at the front desk was very helpful and had plenty of product knowledge.Service: Upholstery installationService: Upholstery installation

We had our convertible top replaced on our Chrysler crossfire. The glass came out within 18 months. It is under warranty per their contract. We keep our car in the garage so it is not the elements. They have not responded to my emails and now are not responding to calls. I do not understand why they will not honor their warranty. This seems like they would be able to get a new top from the manufacturer since the warranty is for 3 years. I was hoping not to have to leave a negative review. Maybe this will help to have someone address the issue.Update..they contacted me and got me the replacement top. I updated from one star to three stars. I would have rated higher but should not take this amount of time. It took a year.Service: Upholstery repair

Mike was very thorough and informative when I arrived for an estimate to repair the headliner in my Porsche Cayman. The Techs were awesome in that they made sure the material on the headliner matched the rest of the interior. And the quality of their workmanship is second to none... the car was ready when stated and it was clean as well. I'm very pleased with the outcome and recommend their service to anyone. Excellent job guys & gals!

Took my car to replace sunroof glass came back key fob not working. My insurance sent me there. All of a sudden technician had it on the work order. I never say the work order nor did My key fob looked ran over it was dirty of course if someone ran over it. They left tools in my car. Im wouldn t recommend my dog for service. Wong was not understanding had no empathy. He was nasty nice and he said the owner was okay with not trying to resolve this issue. Couldn t speak to owner he became the spokesperson all of a sudden. My glass not on track will have to take to Nissan to get them to look at the work that was conducted. They will probably say it was functioning before thats they thing no accountability at this place. So unfortunate

Outstanding service and professionalism! I would recommend this family-owned and operated business over and over again. I called Sargent in a panic about my convertible top while on a road trip from South Carolina to California. I stopped in Jacksonville and Sean was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He fixed my top and gave me advice on how to maintain and protect my convertible. His customer service was above and beyond! Sargent really takes care of their customers. Thank you again, Sean, for all that you did. I really appreciate it and will definitely use Sargents services again!

We sought the assistance of Sargent s because we got sunscreen on our brand new leather seats. We were fully prepared to have the leather replaced, and took our vehicle in to get a quote from Jim. Jim told us that he wanted to try and clean it up first. Thankfully what he did worked and we did not have to replace the leather! Jim refused to take payment for the few minutes of wiping and cleaner he put on the leather in our vehicle. We were very appreciative of the fact that he didn t try to make us replace and pay for something we didn t need. Jim was very professional and personable, from the phone conversation I had with him to the experience my boyfriend had with him at the business. We will definitely return to Sargent Upholstery for future needs and we highly recommend their services. Thank you Jim, for your help and saving my sanity!!Service: Upholstery repair

Very professional and polite guys. The convertible top on our 350Z was beginning to operate eradicatly and literally failed when I went to show the technician at Sargent Upholstery. (Of course it happened after the warranty period had passed!)The guys identified the issue and so far the repair has been successful. Not cheap- but honest people who do good work in the automotive arena are worth thier weight in gold!

I had my 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit headliner done about a year ago. They assured me that after letting the fabric rest that the creases and bumps would not be visible. However a year later and it looks horrible. I also realized that they had not put the back quarter panels back in properly after installing. Lucky enough I had radio work done at best buy and they fixed that for me. I am not very impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. However this is just in my case and I have known others that have gone here and the work was amazing. I just wish they would have taken the time to do a good job on my headliner. If knowing what I know now. I would have just spent the few extra hundred bucks to have the dealer do it.

I would STRONGLY suggest using Sargent for anyone looking to get upholstery work done on their vehicle. ..I first came to them to refurbish my Antique motorcycle seat ,and they did a Wonderful job ...tell you the truth it ended up looking better than factory.. !So when it came to getting work done on my truck I went straight to them....Mike helped me out ,and not only did they do another Fantastic job , they went above and beyond with their service .I own a Land Rover and that automatically increases the cost of every repair I get done...but not at Sargent....the price was Very Reasonable and they even fixed an Electrical problem at no charge....Very Happy with service and will relay to friends to use them....

I needed to replace the 2 piece headliner in my truck, so I asked for recommendations from friends and business associates. It was unanimous Everyone told me to take my truck to Sargent. Sean and Mike were very helpful and took the time to answer all of my questions. I was given a very reasonable estimate of the cost along with the timing to complete the headliner. I m very glad I took the recommendations of my friends and went to Sargent Upholstery The headliner is phenomenal! It s better than factory and exceeded all of my expectations. Sargent Upholstery did an outstanding job! Thank you Mike, Sean and the entire Sargent s team! I strongly recommend Sargent for anyone in need of upholstery work on their vehicle. A+++++

From the first call Shawn took the most professional care of all my convertible roof needs. I couldn t be more grateful for this family owned business. I will forever be a customer and will spread the word on how awesome and high quality Sargents Auto Upholstery s business was. Upon final inspection of my new roof Shawn walked step by step with me and reviewed very helpful and knowledgeable tips to prolong the quality and longevity of my new roof. Communication was clear as far as my financial responsibility. I would recommend this company over and over again.

Several months ago, my 2008 Mercedes 350 was serviced by this company for a full headliner replacement. It was in conjunction and part of a front windshield replacement warranty work. Although Sargent Seat cover Co. came highly recommended, I'm disappointed with the workmanship that was performed. The material used is sub-par, not OE. The surface of the headliner has deep impressions, I was advised that it will smooth itself out, it's not the case. The vanity light and rear view mirror was not installed correctly. I had to do it myself to correctly install it. Upon delivery, the interior had a lot of small cut materials from the headliner fabric. I tried to reach via email, but no response. I'm disappointed because this company has over 73 years of experience with the same quality and excellence since day one, according to their company statement....I didn't experience that. Why 2 stars instead of 1? I do not hate it, but I definitely dislike the service performed. Nothing against the personnel, but who ever worked on my car did put enough care into it...Do I recommend this shop, absolutely not/NO. I gave ample can in trying to reach out via email to no avail. It not worth my time to pursue my concern.

Multiple issues with my interaction with the owner. Firstly, he was on multiple times off site when I attempted to visit the shop during normal hours. Answers the listed "work" number aka his cell phone, and refused to come back to the shop during his normal listed business hours.Secondly, when I explained that the dealership informed me that the windshield needed to be removed to properly install the new headliner, he told me that this was impossible to do without breaking the windshield, and told me the dealership would give me a new windshield if they did it there. He implied that dealerships do this regularly.Thirdly, he insinuated that I should commit insurance fraud and claim windshield damage in order to have a third party replace the glass under a claim.Fourth, I asked for suede and he said that no cars have suede (false).I'm not giving him 1 star because he referred me to Sargent Upholstry, who after speaking with, has a much more comprehensive understanding of this replacement procedure. Won't go back.

I found Sargent's to be wonderfully professional, competent, and honest. Mike quoted me a great price and Bob did an excellent job on my Volvo headliner repair. I'm a happy customer! I'm so glad to know about Sargent's. :)

I brought my car in to replace the sunroof and ceiling liner in my car. Two service failures later, I have a hard time recommending Sargent to anyone. While they did fix (or attempt to fix) the problems there was no proactive customer service recovery attempts. I was not compensated for any of my inconvenience - no offer of discount to original payment, no offers for future service, etc. All that said, the repaired liner does look great. Just be leary if there are any residual issues. The technician who completed the work apparently "stored" the dismantled sunroof on the roof my car during installation causing significant scratches in the paint. I found the scratches while trying to help the technicians figure out why my electric windows were no longer working. It makes me wonder if I'd have noticed the scratches if they had attached the driver door wiring harness correctly after the lining repair. They kept the car a few more days (and provided a rental for me) and had my car roof repainted at an auto body shop. When I got my car back and drove home (25 miles) on the interstate, I noticed very loud wind noise from the sunroof. I have never had wind noise from the sunroof. I returned to Sargent's a few days later for them to repair the sunroof noise. They did the best they could and I left. I ended up having to get my regular mechanic to properly reset my sunroof to eliminate the wind noise.

Gave them a '91 C2500 Silverado door panel along with a parts panel to swap the cloth from one to the other.....turned out very well (and these panels are not meant to be taken apart). Mike Todd and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Pricing was reasonable. Highly recommend these guys.

The team at Sargent just finished some beautiful interior work on my 1989 Mercedes SL560. Back in September I contacted Sargent to get some information and estimates for new seats, door panels, and carpet. Mike was extremely helpful providing details on the work involved, timelines, and vendors where I might find the parts for the work. As my car is almost an antique, I really appreciated his guidance and direction. A few weeks ago, I scheduled my appointment and took my car in for the work. They were extremely efficient and helpful through the entire process. When it came time to do the door panels, the company I sourced the specific door leather from had made a mistake. The entire crew (Mike, Bob, Sean) were very helpful in getting pictures taken of the faulty leather and working with me and the vendor in California. The estimate, and final cost, of the work was very reasonable. There is more restoration work I need to do on car, and I will have Sargent do this work for me. Thanks team!

Worn spots in vinyl beside each door of my Lexus caused over time by getting in and out. Repairs looked better than new car and were done at a very reasonable price. Very courteous assistance and very highly recommend this place.

The new headliner in my 2010 Volkswagen Jetta looks flawless and the treatment on all four doors to bond the peeling factory leatherette directly to the panels (after copious amounts of needed and MUCH appreciated detailed prep work) turned out so damn well! Friends have commented on the quality of interior craftsmanship and all are extremely impressed. I'm excited to drive that car for many more years to come and now I don't cringe when sitting inside :-)My overall experience with Sargent Upholstery was absolutely brilliant in all capacities. Every expectation was met; along with excellent customer support, upfront costs, and professionalism abound.Keep up the solid work, Team Sargent!

Just had the leather passenger seat panel (60/40 split) replaced on my F150 Lariat. PERFECT JOB done in 1 day. This is the 2nd panel replaced in this truck (Driver seat panel approximately 2 years ago). They do absolutely beautiful work and get it done when they say they will. They really care about the results. I am not connected to Sargent's in any way but I really like their work. I take all my vehicle upholstery work there.

They ruined my steering wheel&gear shifter...both are now crumbling soaert in my hand...they were not sticky&crumbling when I left the care in their care, but upon pickup had a very disappointing experience! These folks are truly professional. Sean took over 30 minutes to discuss the best ways to address the upcoming restoration of Bills 87 MC SS. He was most helpful in suggesting what and when to do as well as giving an understandable budget for the future work. If you need your car's interior done...Sargent should be your 1st and only stop.
