This place I cannot recommend enough seriously!!! We just got done being stranded on the side of the road after popping our tire on something leaving work our tow truck canceled, ERS from my insurance would be another hour to us and this place was set to close . Mike Carter, their GM, said bet: Be there in ten minutes. sit tight . He came out to try and do our flat for us right there on the side of Roosevelt!!! Our car never came with a wheel lock (I know ridiculous) and he handled that too. Took my husband back to pay and handled everything within like 30 minutes tops I know this sounds rehearsed but I seriously have never been so impressed by an auto shop before (the price was not bad at all either, better than most). Thanks again to Mike for being so kind and able to help us get home to our dogs safely!

I had a 10:00 appointment for an oil change. Arrived ten minutes early. Car was still in the parking lot at 10:35, so I got my keys and left. My time is valuable to me, thus the appointment, but apparently not to them.

Tyler and the manager Michael are absolutely top notch Employees. Their team is well put together and everyone here is respectable and a pleasure to deal with. I have been to many car service shops and never have I felt like part of the crew like I do here at RPM. Great Job!! Amazing service!!

After going to another Pep Boys location (on Lane), thinking I would receive the same standard of service and was proven wrong, I returned to RPM on Roosevelt and will never stray again! RPM staff are helpful, courteous, and attentive. They take care of my vehicle and it always feels great when I get behind the wheel after a service. RPM forever!

Long story short, i replaced my battery amd cleaned my leads, but still had charging system malfunction. Took it in, they found the alternator had no belt, and they got the belt and fixed it same day. They even called me at 6:51 P.M. and stayed open a few extra minutes for me to grab it. Highly recommend these guys.

Great experience. They were able to tell me all the things wrong with my vehicle. And the price for the inspection was fair

They will try to tell you that you need work done on your vehicle rather than the main issue with your car! I left that place with brake cables disconnected and had to get it towed away for further inspection!!!

They always do a good job and have never given me any reason to question their integrity or honesty.

Now, I m like everyone else by looking to see how much each part costs for the ac system in my car. I went in to fix my ac. Expecting to pay a couple hundred, and paid over 1000. My condenser was shot they said. That was the only part replaced. New one costs $245 max, or at least the couple vendors and auto shops I called to get an estimate afterwards for a new condenser said. *And pick up same day*. They somehow found an expensive $385 one(on invoice), and another $281 for other parts (on invoice).Vendors also said new compressor with manual control valve is $600, they quoted me for $710. That s without labor added. I got a 2017 Nissan Altima, go look it up for yourself people, compressor and manual control valve, you ll see. I know where I m not going next time.Service: Air conditioning

This was my second visit at this location & they receive a lot of business. Best advice, plan on your leaving your vehicle. Received courteous & straightforward service. Did have conflicting information between RPM & a dealership about my brakes. One says replace, the other, says they re good. I ll have to schedule a 3rd opinion, we ll see.

Recently, when I was visiting my daughter in Jax, one of the tires on my car became flat due to a nail puncture. Thankfully, the car was in my daughters driveway. AAA came and towed the car to RPM(recommended by AAA)Joseph, who was working behind the counter was very helpful in getting the car back on the road again. I felt the service from this shop was understanding of my situation(I live 100 miles from Jax), fair in price and quality of the new tire I ended up having to purchase. I would highly recommend RPM in Jax on Roosevelt Blvd.Barbara Cumberland

I witnessed Mike Carter be very rude to one of his employees on a number of occasions, belittling him in front of customers. It was very uncomfortable. Another employee had to apologize for him. I will not be taking my vehicles there any more if I can help it. Sad, because we have been loyal customers of Ortega RPM, but it is no longer the same place.Service: Auto tire replacement

I brought my 2013 Honda CRV into the Ortega RPM shop yesterday morning for them to inspect and give me a quote on repairing the jolting noise I was getting from the front end suspension. They were able to take the vehicle in right away and diagnose the problem. It was the sway bar links.I had an upcoming road trip to Rhode Island and time was of the essence; I asked them how long it would take to get the parts and replace them. They said they could have the parts within an hour, do the job and have me out the door within 3 hours - all for $250. I was expecting a $2,000 to $3,000 bill. I said, "Let's do it!"Tyler and Joseph at RPM Ortega were great. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable and above all, honest and trustworthy. I say this because their diagnosis showed that I also needed to have the front and rear struts replaced but it wasn't critical at this time. The strut job would run between $2,100 and $2,500 but I could postpone this until it was absolutely necessary. My auto dealer's service department had told me to expect this but I wanted another opinion so that's why I brought my car into RPM Ortega.I had previously brought my old 2001 Acura RL into RPM Ortega for regular service and I was always pleased with them. When I traded in the Acura for the Honda, I started taking it the Honda dealer for service. I will definitely remember RPM Ortega for my future auto service needs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I am very picky when looking for a good and trustworthy repair shop for my truck and SUV, but I am glad to call RPM Auto at Ortega, my "to go repair shop". I had several of my vehicles repaired here and after each repair I did my own personal inspection of their work. I am glad to say, that this shop operates with high integrity and professionalism. I am very satisfied with their work and their cost in my opinion is very fair.I have been recommending them to several of my friends and I will recommend them to anyone looking for a shop with integrity. Thanks RPM.

I generally hear good things about RPM, but I find the interactions with Tim to be less than professional. I don't want to be too critical, but here's what happened this morning. I had a 7 am appt for a "pre purchase inspection". I arrived at 0653, and Tim states it's going to be a 2 hour wait because 2 people "beat me to the punch". That is unacceptable. He then apologized for "people's cars breaking down" and it came across very sarcastic. There are plenty of auto repair places in town, I think I will permanently take my business elsewhere. In the past their estimates are usually 40 to 50% higher than other places for repairs. The location is convenient but I am not happy with how I am treated there.I will say that Jeremiah did seem to truly car about my issues, I was having some issues with a previous car. My phone conversation with him was very pleasant and made me want to come back, but my experience this morning was very unpleasant. I am sorry that they were so busy, but there could have been a more professional way to handle it. I thought I had an appointment, but I suppose that is not how it works.

Love this place! They do great work and they don't try to oversell. I always feel respected and not talked down to because I'm a woman. Can't recommend them enough.

Today was not my first time at RPM or the RPM Ortega location. The staff are consistently knowledgable, caring, and honest.Their team was great to work with from the moment I called-in to ask about tire service. Today I went in due to a flat tire due to a nail, in which the tire was irreparable. At other car service places I've felt the staff was constantly trying to upsell me on unnecessary services, but I've never felt pressured in this way by the RPM staff. Instead the staff informed me of the repair needed, offered to let me see the damage, and let me know the repair-work that was most urgent and what could wait if needed. They are also great about describing the different products/services they recommend and the price differences between them.Today when I found out that my back two tires were unsafe and could potentially blowout, they informed me of the potential wait on replacing the tires. The seats in the waiting area are very comfortable, the room is pleasantly air-conditioned, with easy access to a clean bathroom, and the staff offered cold bottled water. The customer service and hospitality were exceptional, and my car is driving much more smoothly and quietly now. I'm grateful to have this RPM so close to home.

RPM Ortega. Horrible service! Dishonest and did nothing to solve my problem. They told me it was fixed.Transmission leaking fluid. Took it in at Monday at 1245 pm. I called at 4:50 to see if it was ready. They said no, because the mechanic who does this work wasn t coming in until Tuesday.Ok keep my car overnight. They called Tuesday at 12:47 pm and said the newly installed, by another shop, CV axle wasn t pushed in all the way and was leaking. They want $224 to solve the problem. I called them back after I thought about it at 12:57 and said fix it since I was going out of town Wednesday. They don t call to say it is ready for pickup so I called and 5:10, Wednesday, to confirm the service was completed.Drove out of town and noticed the same problem with the skipping transmission. Stopped to check fluid level and found it was as low as before they fixed it, put a quart and a half in so I could safely get home without ruining the transmission completely. RPM didn t fix the problem!!! All they did was tell me it was fixed.Don t go there unless you liked to be scammed.Services: Transmission, Transmission repair

I came to the RPM place yesterday, my front tire was wobbling, I ordered a new tire to be put on the next day. While I was there yesterday they put my spare tire on @ no cost to me. I was surprised . They did a great job. Thank you so much.

This location came highly recommended and now I know why. Tim and Will were very friendly and more importantly they gave me the straight story on what my truck needed. They didn t perform unnecessary services and they told me exactly what could wait until later service intervals. They were efficient and communicated with me honestly and in a timely manner.

I dropped my truck off to replace all of the rusted brake lines. They were all replaced timely and at a fair price, lowest shop rate I ve ever had! They were very communicative and worked with my schedule and situation. Will definately recommend and even take my truck back. I ve vowed to never take my truck to any shop and get ripped off, but this shop is an exception. And they even sent a follow up thank you card!

Jeremiah was helpful and extremely patient with me. I dropped my car off this morning at 7 am without an appointment. My car was ready to go by 3 pm. I requested an additional repair and Jeremiah agreed to complete the additional repair today without a moments hesitation. Today was my first experience with RPM Ortega and it was exemplary. They are my new go to spot. Thank you!

I can drop my vehicle off after hours & always get a call the next morning with repairs done the same day. RPM has always been a very clean, honest, dependable & reasonably-priced place.

There are two things I really don't enjoy doing....buying a new car and finding a trustworthy place to fix my car. BUT it's a great day when you find a place you trust to fix your car and tell you the truth about your car. I went to RPM recently after the AC died in my van. RPM was recommended by several friends so I gave it a shot. They called and explained everything (in terms I could understand) and my van was fixed in just a few hours for a fair price. I have zero complaints and will continue to take my cars there whenever anything goes wrong. Highly recommend!!

Excellent customer service and relations, something that is becoming more and more rare these days. As the owner of an older car, I very much appreciated Tim's practical approach to old car triage. Creating a hierarchy of repairs and maintenance that need to be done versus those that can wait for a while or even indefinitely given the car's age. A refreshing approach! Thank you!

Awesome Auto Mechanics. I have been going to them for years. Very trustworthy. Manaher Tim will listen and do his best to help you and get it done. Reasonable prices are less than the Dealerships. I highly recommend!

I don t want to say anything nasty on here, I m hoping I will be able to speak with someone that will take what I have to say and look into it and fix the issue. My husband and I at different points in time took our cars here for different maintenance/repairs and somehow things were missed and we both kept being told that an issue was fixed, only to have another issue a few days later. My husband went for an oil change and they over filled it which caused it to leak out and a vacuum hose somehow was compromised because of that. They DID take ownership of that and replaced the hose and apologized. Now, however the timing belt suddenly came off after previously no issues. We understand that our cars are getting older, but it is disturbing that someone carelessly did their job in the first place which cost us time, stress, etc. Now with his timing belt coincidentally breaking it seems a little off to us. In my situation I had a check engine light on. After being repaired I drove home and the light came back on. I had to go back several times and each time aside from the first time it was fixed they hoped the check engine light would not come back on. I won t claim to know a lot about cars because I don t, I was however curious and a bit frustrated at having to return multiple times and them telling me that it should be good this time then returning to spend more money. The explanation I was given was that the car was like an onion and sometimes you don t know the underlying issue til you take care of each one. I accepted this explanation at the time, but now coincidentally with my husbands car which previously had no issues and now them finding multiple issues, I can t help but be a bit concerned and have questions. Again, I m not trying to slander them, but it just seems a little off that this happened twice and my husband and I were not married at the time so no one would think twice about us knowing each other and having similar off experiences. If we are misguided in our suspicions then I apologize and I will gladly remove this post. I do however have an issue with the sloppy oil change even though they apologized. RPM is fairly pricey, but if it s quality work it s worth it. This however was not quality work. Sorry to leave a bad review, but it s disappointing to trust your vehicle to a business and have a sloppy job done. Apologizing only goes so far.
