Scheduled an appointment online. Got a price from them to change my front disc brakes. When I got there, they attempted to more than doubled the price. When I said that that's not what they said when I scheduled the appointment, they didn't care. They give you one price to get you in the door, and then change it once you are there. I would never suggest them to anyone if this is their common business practice. Waste of time.

The last time I had an oil change I went to a pep boys location off of Atlantic. I got great service, they squeezed me in between other customers, finished the job quickly and gave me great, helpful information. I spent $34 that day. So when it came time for another oil change I decided to go to pep boys againThis time to the Dunn Avenue location. When I came in, right on time for my appointment, I had to wait to be checked in because the man who works the service counter had walked across the street to buy cigarettes. When he did come back, he told me they were going to have to finish unloading their truck before they could work on my car. So after all is said and done, the oil change was quick, about an hour. I told the man in the very beginning that I had a twenty dollar coupon, when my car was finished somehow the cost was $62 and some change, AFTER the twenty dollar coupon. I don't understand how, for the exact same service and with $20 in savings I got charged almost double what I had previously paid. I'm currently looking for my receipt from the previous visit at Atlantic, after I can locate it I will be calling corporate to try to find out how I got price gouged at this location. Quite frankly it's bulls*** and I will NEVER be going to this location again.UPDATEAfter calling corporate I got a call the next day while I was at work. I missed the call and had to call back...three times. I waited on hold for ten minutes or more each time. Eventually I spoke with Glynn who explained over and over again that they put the right oil in my car and the other location put the wrong oil in my car. He said they are not allowed to use just any oil...well apparently the other guys did. I got refunded the difference of the two oil changes but seeing how I don't know who did right and who did wrong I'm going to just take pep boys off my list all together. I'll happily go elsewhere with my business if they can't get their s*** straight.

Second time bringing my car to pep boys always a great experience , reliable and they went out of their way to try to get it done the same day for me and they did . Especially Mikko I think his name is he was awesome !

Not very appealing. Automotive section only part open. Pricey. Paid over $200.00 for a Ford Fusion Car Battery. Waited over 2 hours. Store is no longer available & per workers will not be returning. Won't be returning.

Made an appointment for a pre-purchase inspection and upon arrival the so-called technician stated that I needed to drop off the car, couldn't wait and that they needed to get the Dealer's authorization to do the inspection since they were paying for it. In other words he was making assumptions based on non-existent facts. I explained that the inspection was on my own and that I'd be paying for it myself and that the "dealer" had nothing to do with it since I was still in my 7-day return period. Sounds like the technician has never heard of a pre-purchase inspection or that he got confused about something that's really simple. I won't even bring up how dirty and unkempt the waiting room is and that it looks like it's never been cleaned. So instead of arguing with someone who didn't know what he was talking about I turned around and walked out.

Do not buy tires from them. I literally bought four brand new tires in April every single month since then something is wrong with my tire like my tire is always going flat one by one Or a nail in my tire or my tire popped and I Paid a pretty penny for my tires

When they rotated the tires, they stripped the nuts on the studs, so I had to break bolts in order to remove the tires. Ended up needing an entire new hub assembly. Costing over 1000 dollars in repairs. Recommend you go to the RPM in river city. Still pep boys affiliated and much better mechanics

had to come here twice and they couldn't seem to find my ticket with car advise but the manager gave me a oil change for free so I give five stars to the manager but the other workers need more experience. Way to go Mr Milko.

While stranded in another state, I trusted Pep Boys to give a fair diagnosis for possible repairs if possible. I was told it would cost $1,926.00. I retrieved my vehicle and took it to the dealership to learn that the cost was only $88.00. I was totally disappointed with the lack of honesty and professionalism given at a time of crisis. I chose not to post a review but at your request, here s my response.

The Tech Brian was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained the process from start to finish. What he told us the problem was, is what he fixed. He went above and beyond and even provided us with an upgraded part because something happened to the one that they had. Overall, we are satisfied with the services that were provided, all of the staff and techs were pretty cool, they got us in and out. Compared to other pep boys in the city I can honestly say this one is the best due to the professional staff/techs and they timely service.

One hour ago they did my alignment and "couldn't give me a print out"I found that suspicious, so I took it to another pep boys. All 4 wheels are out of spec.Store manager and assistant store manager were present, and said the printer was "broken," but didn't take a picture like they did for the tires to suggest alignment.They charged me for an alignment AND DID NOT PERFORM THE SERVICE

I had been struggling with a persistent flat tire for the past 7 months, but Anthony finally put an end to my troubles. He was knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in his approach to the problem. When I arrived at the shop, he listened carefully to my concerns and quickly installed a brand new tire that has been working perfectly ever since. I am so grateful to Anthony for his excellent service and expertise. He deserves a 5-star rating for his professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction.

I had an awesome experience at PeP Boys. My car was in need of service repair and I just knew it was going to be a hassle but then I had the pleasure of meeting Chris the service manager at Pep Boys. I was nervous at first because its hard to find honest knowledgeable mechanics. I came in on a Sunday morning and William helped me with all of the lights on my car was in and out less than 30 minutes. I have been to so many parts store trying to find bulbs and getting parts for my brake lights. I have allowed a few mechanics look at the car. i have been told its electrical, the fuse etc. However it was in fact a bulb replacement issue thank you!!! Now i can drive safely and not ride dirty

Very satisfied!!! David is an excellent employee at 1105 Dunn Ave in Jacksonville. Explained me what my car needed. It took a whole day but I feel confident driving it now. I highly recommend this place, they are reasonable and friendly.

Overall not bad. I mainly use the on on Dunn Avenue, Jacksonville. However, I must pay close attention the next time I request service. I had to bring in three vehicles in one day. A lot was going on. Each vehicle needed a tire replacement, along with other service. The other service was taken care of, I assume. Nevertheless, the missed all three replacements for the tires. So now when I go in I will consider doing one service at a time in order to better check it.

Experience at this place was poor. My daughter dropped off her vehicle for tires to be replaced at 7:00 am, the time they were supposed to open but they didn t show up to open at 7:40 am. When the tires arrived, they didn t bother to call her nor did they bother to let her know when her car was ready for pickup. Complained to Steve, the service manager and he asked, what we wanted him to do, no apology, said he can t control when people get sick. I read their customer satisfaction policy that posted on the wall to him and he said that pre COVID and stated the he s sure that the 3 people that started this company would be turning over in their graves if they knew how this place was being run. Overall, very poor service and poor customer service. I would not recommend this place.

I dropped my vehicle off yesterday morning at 9:30 for a belt issue and it's now the following day and I have yet to hear from anyone about an update. Nobody bothered to call me yesterday to let me know my car would be there for another day. I called multiple times yesterday and today but no one has answered. I have now had to miss 2 days of work and I have no idea what's going on with my vehicle. I can't wait to see what they're going to charge me. I will never be coming back to Pep Boys.

Complete five star rating. I was blown away by the service, professionalism, courteousness, and concern, by the staff of the store.We had a major breakdown as we were traveling in passing through Jacksonville. Our front wheel fell off as we were crossing the Dane Port Bridge. This is a traveler's worst nightmare, being in a strange city and your only source of transportation will not work at all. We were at the mercy of the people around us.I asked some of the local people where would be a good place to get my van fixed and they recommended the Dunn Street Pep Boys. I called and spoke to Lee and he said that have the tow truck bring it in and he would get right to it.By the time we were able to get a tow truck to tow us to the store, it was almost closing time and the store was very busy. In a very short amount of time he analyzed what was wrong with my van, gave me an estimate, and told me that it could be fixed by noon the next day.Lee was very sympathetic to our situation. He fix my van very promptly. And for a very fair price. He did everything he could to take care of us.The entire staff for the store was very good to us, but Lee deserves a shout out because he went truly over and above to try and take care of us.I would recommend the store to anybody local or passing through.

William decided to not do extra paperwork, so he didn't call the car people when he said he did, I ended up waiting 5 hours for a simple oil change. I'd rather pay for a full synthetic service. Can't wait til I don't have to use pep boys anymore, #lastfreeoilchange

The whole team is respectful and responsive. I'm new to the area and had a flat tire. Travis and Chris took care of my tires and took time to explain the problem. They did not talk to me like I'm stupid. And Peyton helped me just now with kindness. As women of color we need these types of mechanics.
