I have a 2014 Dodge Charger, that is well known to go through water pumps with that certain model. I was recommended to Pep Boys from a family friend and had taken it there. Wonderful service! The mechanics and the gentlemen up front was very professional and knowledgeable about my car. 10 out of 10, recommended going back again!

I have been there a few times, the job they do isn t bad, but even if you make an appointment it always takes several hours even for a simple oil change. The management need to change the system so not 5 ppl get the same Saturday 10am appointment at the same time!!!

This Pep Boys location is top notch in my opinion. Chris was very helpful, and very friendly in a professional but not in a stuck up way. He explained everything that was going to happen and what needed to be done at a later time. He wasn't over pushy on add-on services. Which I appreciate greatly. I highly recommend going here for you car service needs.

Ryan was su h a delight, he explained everything very well and kept me smiling. I was told I needed a module of some sort but after a brake build replacement my car us like new again...NO MORE LIGHT. thanks pep boys

I was not at that Pep Boys on Lane Avenue a week ago just a couple of so days ago I was at the Advance Auto Parts next to Pep Boys which is in the same Pep Boys building and that Advance Auto Parts don't know their head from home ground on how to run any diagnostic on someone vehicle that claimed my battery my alternator and my system was in excellent condition so they didn't know what they were talking about I showed them the date on the battery and it still didn't know what I was talking about they diagnosed my vehicle wrong telling me that my battery alternator and all that was in good shape I ended up having it take it to a dealership and it was the one on Blanding Boulevard that checked it and it was the battery so Advance Auto Parts need to put some people in there that knows what they're talking about when it comes to automobile you can't listen to a stupid computer most of the people who put stuff in computers don't know nothing about a vehicle to start with I don't think I want to tell nobody to visit that place now the Pep Boys had a decent price on some tires I asked about about a few weeks ago but they didn't want to help with the fact of needing help to get them financed because I'm disabled but anyway and The Pit Boys in Lakeland Florida will not and do not recognize the Pit Boys on Lane Avenue or honor any thing that Pep Boys had to say here in Jacksonville have a good day

We have brought both our cars here and Chris the manager is AWESOME! They are always professional and courteous. We have had an engine replacement, tires, oil changes and basic maintenance done in a decent time frame. The manager Chris has always answered my questions & been honest with needed repairs. Being a woman and always feeling taken advantage of at shops i can honestly say they don't do that here. Everything is explained well and done in a way that makes me feel secure bringing our cars here for work. Ill contine to use pepboys for our automotive needs.

Got my car looked at was told the shaking was from a tire. Paid $500 for two tires and a diagnostic. Car was fine for a few days now the whole car is shaking like they did something to my engine. Won t be back. Scammers.

Do not come to this Pep Boys. They are bad service. If you buy a part from AutoZone or Anywhere else and you have them put it on and something goes wrong with your car. They are going to charge you again to fix it. I have a 2014 Ford fusion and they did not put the part on right and transmission fluid was leaking and they had the nerve to tell me it was something wrong with the part clearly something is not put in right because why is it leaking? Save your time and money with these people. Runaway I repeat, run away

Estimate was initially pretty high based on what we thought needed done. Once the mechanic got a good look, they actually reduced what needed to be done, and didn't charge me for an extra service that I didn't need.

I called today @1:52 Pm to figure out what parts were needed to fix my car and the guy who answered the phone was EXTREMELY RUDE, belittling in his tone of voice, not letting me explain myself. The work they ve done on my car so far has been good but the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SHIITY.

I was visiting family in the Florida area and had work done at store#135..Lane Ave. The manager was so humble and down to earth. He was not just about the money and getting you out the way. He was attentive,talked about the business and the new changes coming..he took the time to listen and explain what and how the work was being done. Whenever I'm in town I will definitely stop by if only to check the air in my tires. Ga.Peach

Always great service, wonderful nice staff, and quick turnaround for my vehicle. I greatly appreciate how everyone is willing to take the time to explain what is going on with my car and to make sure I'm making an informed, quality decision. Will definitely continue to use this location for my car's needs!Updated 9/2023: While my previous review was 5 stars, this location has gone down significantly since the beginning of the year. I'm not sure if it's had a change in ownership or staff, but it is no longer the same. I went here after having issues with my transmission fluid running too hot. I called ahead and spoke with them regarding the issue to see if it could be looked at that day. They took my car only to call me back to say they didn't find anything. I asked if they had checked a few things including for a transmission leak and they said they don't touch anything with transmissions at all so they wasted my time versus telling me that on the phone when I called saying that was my issue in the first place. Then they had the audacity to charge me a $100 inspection fee for looking at everything I already knew was working fine. Will not be going here again, especially with issues I've heard from other customers as well

BEWARE!!!! THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! They had my in-laws car for a month, since 9-9-23, and wouldn t co-operate with the company that was paying them to fix their car. All they had to do was send in the diagnostic report they did that supposedly says it s the transmission that needs to be replaced. But they could never seem to do this simple task. My father-in-law drives by on 10-9-23 and he sees the back window of their car busted out. He goes back up there the next day to get the car towed somewhere else and come to find out, their car and several other cars have been broken into: windows busted out, wires ripped out, steering column busted up. He calls the police to make a report and of course nobody at Pep Boys knows anything about it and they aren t responsible for any damage done to the cars that are up there. But if they had done the work that they were contracted to do in a timely manner the car wouldn t have been still sitting in the parking lot for this to happen. I can t think of any reason to ever visit this place again. They are absolutely useless, lazy and they lie about the progress of the so-called work they are doing to get your car fixed. SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!

If your engine light comes on you will do your car and yourself a huge favor by ignoring it and keep on driving than coming here. If you have to deal with a service manager named Chuck you will feel more violated than getting a colonoscopy from someone in a van.

Amazing and friendly customer service. Chris helped us find the problem at an affordable price! I initially chose to have the wrong service done. When we arrived thank goodness he checked what I had scheduled. Definitely recommend this shop to anyone.

Took vehicle in for mushy brakes. 1st told me master cylinder was bad and I agreed to replace. Then they told me master cylinder cause the brake booster to go bad so I agreed to replace brake booster. Now they said the brakes is locking up and the abs module was bad. Abs module was out of stock from dealer. They recommended me to buy a used ABS booster and I did. They replaced the abs module but didn't fix the problem. Before I was able to drive my vehicle with mushy brakes , now I can't drive it all with brake s locking up. I had to get it towed back to Pep boys. I spent over $1300 and brakes are worst. It has been two months now and still at pep boys.

Gave me one price. Kept my car for 2 weeks. Finally I called states car is ready. Checked my car before leaving, car still wasn't fixed same problem. Left car there 2 more days. Finally semi repaired. Then charged more money after no military discount and other discount that was problem. Never again will this company have my car.

Nick was horrible lied to my face about getting the work done on my moms car. Had it for a month. Plus all the concrete dust around in the air. The shops open as they are doing construction. Not safe for the customers. I hope I didn t get exposed to anything. The handful of times that I had to go up there to check on the car. Thoroughly disappointed will never be back to this location.

I always go to pep boys on lane because of Nick the manager he has so much knowledge about automobiles that makes you feel comfortable about getting your truck or car repairs there.I took my truck to the dealership and they wanted thousands of dollars for just a few things, I took it to Nick and I got so much more done and also got new tires. I even recommend my son-in-law to him the same day.as for me and my family we will go to pep boys on lane because of the great service we received and a special shout out to Nick and his team

These guys who helped me today were great, I believe the one at the counter s name was Nick and unfortunately I didn t catch the one who was actually working on my car s name. They were able to take me in quicker than anticipated, and within a half hour I was already taken care of and had my keys back in my hand. It was miles better than the experience I had at a Goodyear last month. Thank you again, guys

I don't know what happened, this location used to be great, but I guess some of their good guys left, because I was so disappointed my last time there. They took almost 24 hours to replace a tire and do basic things (oil change, rotation, alignment), plus fixing something on my tires they said would take about half an hour. I told them I could leave it overnight, so that's not the worst part. Then, when I picked up my car, it immediately started making a weird noise, before I even left the parking lot. When I told the guy at checkout, he acknowledged that he thought he'd heard it too...? Ok, thanks? Then, when I spoke to the mechanic, he took a look and said he just needed to drain some oil and he knew I was in a hurry, but it would just take a couple minutes. About an hour later I try to find out what's wrong and they tell me they're "waiting on fluid," because my car needs a special kind... When I finally get home with my car, I see that they have removed the locks on my wheels that I asked to be removed, but did not replace them with lug nuts, so each wheel was missing a lug nut. When I called to ask about it, they said I was supposed to be told that I needed to go to the dealer for special lug nuts. Great. I only went there because I got cheap tires with a warranty, but I guess you get what you pay for... Such a bummer, my family has been going to them for years.

Compared to location on Balnding Blvd, they are great!!!! Customer service is amazing. They got my tire fixed in a reasonable amount of time especially during closing hours. I appreciate them.

The staff at this location are awesome. Nicholas at the front desk was knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. Adam did a great job rapairing my tire. Service was fast and done right. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was kinda nervous about not taking my car to the dealer for repairs but Nick at the front counter made me feel at ease immediately. He explained it might be a 4 hr wait but he would call me as soon as he knew something. His personality was amazing and his knowledge of what I needed was on point. And guess what...it didnt take 4 hrs like he thought. When you are spending hundreds of dollars having a kind and knowledgeable person helping you makes all the difference.
