Charlie Chhim was great. He and our mechanic were very friendly. MOST Importantly,, I called to ask for a quote because my husband said if our light bulb change is too much he'd change the light bulb himself. It was worth 20 something to pay someone else to change the light bulb. Sometimes the little conveniences are worth paying someone else to do what we could have done. Thanks Pep Boys crew!

Made and appointment for the following Saturday and they were quick to jump on it. Fixed 2 priorities that I needed accomplished and had my car early afternoon. Pleased with what I had fixed.

We developed an alarming scraping noise along 1-95 a short way south of Jacksonville. A Road Ranger stopped where we were sitting beside an exit, and referred us to Pep Boys. We were able to safely drive the 2 miles to the shop, where they got us in to check it after about an hour. They quickly diagnosed it as a loose heat shield. They removed it and sent us on our way at NO CHARGE! We were SO thankful to God for safety, for Pep Boys quick care, and their generosity. Thanks, guys!!

I would totally take my car for maintenance here again. Toni was super knowledgeable and easily communicated the work that needed to be done. If you need work done make sure you ask for Toni!

We took our 2017 Chevrolet truck to them this past Saturday to have the thermostat replaced. We went there because we thought it would be cheaper than the Chevrolet dealership service department. Boy, were we wrong.They added a 1yr warranty on the work without asking and charged us 6.2 hours labor even though it didn't take that long. We had ridden by there and saw her truck parked in front and got a call from them about an hour later saying that it was ready. Not sure how long it had been sitting out front.I called the Chevrolet service department to get an estimate and that's when I realized that we'd been had been taken advantage of.I called Pep Boys this morning but they wouldn't credit me back for the labor charges that weren't accurate. Beware of being ripped off.

I used to take my car here for almost everything and the whole staff was awesome. In the last year or so though I feel like they have switched to a scam model, quoting prices double and sometimes triple what the same work costs elsewhere; on top of the fact that almost everyone I have dealt with here more recently has been quite rude. The location is very convenient for me between home and work so I had it towed here recently anyway, only to find the same issue. When I attempted to have it towed elsewhere for a more reasonable price, they hit me with a $120 diagnostic fee (also higher than any other shop I've been to.) Now, I'm stuck with them for this specific repair and it's definitely the last time I will be using their services.

This is the ONLY place my daughter takes her car for maintenance and she's been going there for five or six years. The service is good and the people too. She is a loyal customer.

Took my vehicle in for a set of new tires. That part went okay, but then they tried to tell me my brake pads were in the red zone (1-2 mm remaining in places), the rotors were wearing unevenly, and the calipers were sticking. They recommended to replace all rotors and pads immediately. I wasn't in the position to drop another $1k at the moment, so I took my vehicle to another shop to have my oil changed and brakes inspected a couple weeks later and they sent me pictures of the inspection with 4-5 mm remaining on all pads, and told me there was no need to replace any of those items in the near future. I am very unhappy Pep Boys would be lying to their customers to upsell services. Avoid scams from this shop and ask for verification if possible.

I had the unfortunate experience of having a tire blow out on me. I was almost a mile and a half away from this store. I was promptly greeted and was serviced under 2 hours. This stressful experience was alleviated by fast service. The staff was friendly and courteous.

Great experience. Had piece metal in my tire and tire stared was bouncing. Called on sunday talked to Toni and had tires on hand and Bryan had them on within about an hr.

I took my 7 year old Tahoe in for regular maintenance of oil change and spark plugs tune-up. Got my truck back drove it about 1/2 mile and noticed it dragging, took it back 2 the shop and explained. They called me 2 tell me they replaced my spark plugs test drove it and all is fine. Picked up my truck again I noticed it dragging "ok so u lied about test driving bcuz its still dragging, took it back 2 the shop again got it back they again said all is well they changed spark plugs again. Took my son 2 school about 7 miles in puff of smoke from my tailpipe and truck drag. Took it back again where this time the mgr is back from vacation. I was told the mechanic put too much oil what was truly causing the issue. Got my truck back finally driving ok. About 10 weeks later I get loud engine tapping. Ive never had engine issues until now. I usually take my truck to the dealership for routine maintenance but this pep boys is conveniently located so i tried. I now heavily regret becuz I was told by 2 mechanics (the dealership and a private small shop mechanic) some of my engine's components are shot and both recommended total engine replacement. I can't prove it... but from what I've researched Pep Boys over-filling my oil more than likely damaged my engine. Their careless simple mistake cannot be ruled out bcuz all was fine b4. Ive never been late with oil changes and maintenance of my truck I usually take 2 the dealership. Now im in $13k agony.

We lost the fuel pump in the truck on interstate 95 just south of Jacksonville and Pep Boys were the only people that would help us out on Friday afternoon after 4 o clock, diagnose the problem and had us back on the road to come back to Massachusetts by 1 o clock on Saturday. The people at Pep Boys at 9605 San Jose Highway in Jacksonville were the greatest help and very pleasant to deal with. I would recommend them doing work again.

Outstanding service!! I was a walk-in and they had a full schedule, but I only waited about 20 minutes.Blu checked me in and had the best attitude and smile.Devonte was amazing! He did the oil change on my 1-ton pickup quickly and was very happy to show me everything he did.Great place to bring your vehicle for any type of service.Thanks everyone!!

Great customer service! Chip was very thorough and helpful. They were very busy when I came in and were able to take a look and assess the issue quickly. They didn t have the tire in stock but were quickly able to locate one and have it there the following day.

I needed a new battery quickly. Made appointment online the evening before. Got jumpstart from neighbor and arrived next day. San Jose staff members were friendly and professional. Good price and excellent guarantee.

This business is very professionally run. Blue is AMAZING, caring and down to earth. My brakes were gone in my car. I called to see if they could fix them and Blue told me yes. I got my car to them and I just can t say enough about how professional, curious and knowledgeable Blue was. She s Amazing. The mechanic/technician that worked on my car was Great. Don t know him personally but he s Awesome. I m so Grateful that I was able to get my car serviced there today and it was fixed in a timely manner. Thanks Blue for all of your HELP

I had a minor service request for which I had scheduled an appointment. I arrived five minutes before my appointment time and Greg told me that rather than wait for something that could be done in a couple of minutes to just pull my car around by the shop bays and he d take care of it. It literally took him three minutes to handle the issue. I left the shop about eight minutes after arriving. This Pep Boys location has always done good work for me and today was no exception. Greg was professional, personable, and certainly provided excellent service above and beyond what I expected.

Don't take your vehicle here. Staff is very unprofessional and argumentative. I drove my vehicle there with a $600 quote from another shop. Pep boys gives me a quote of over $5k. I asked for my vehicle to be returned to me so I could take the vehicle back to the original shop. I take a uber there and was told the truck is inoperable. Pep boys broke my timing chain and now the vehicle needs a totally new engine. Did pep boys offer to fix the error or even work with me to figure out a solution? No, they did not. They said " it would have happened eventfully its unfortunate it happened while we had it. " I drove my truck there now paying to have it towed to another shop to install a whole new engine. Find another shop if you can.

Greg and Wayne were fantastic! These guys were able to figure out why my truck was making noises and explain the ins and outs of what was going on. It's a huge plus because I don't know a ton about cars. They are able to explain it in a way that made sense even to me.Not only quality repairs, but the service was quick. I didn't have to miss work or go rent a car to get around.I highly recommend this place and will be going back in the future for my preventative maintenance and repairs.
