I brought my '03 Chevy Suburban into Mr Transmission back in September of 2022 And I would recommend them to anyone needing transmission work in the Jacksonville area! They checked it out and called me back with a diagnosis & quote within the same day. As I suspected it needed a whole new transmission. They gave me prices for a brand new transmission and also the price of a rebuild. Considering I have an '03 vehicle I decided to just go with the rebuild. I put down an OPTIONAL DOWN PAYMENT of $1,000...... And two weeks later they were finished. Total cost with parts,labor and taxes was about $2,300. It's been about 8 months now since I've had to work done and I haven't had any issues.

Friendly and helpful every time I called, they even seemed to remember my name and car. Service was completed in a timely manner, both transmission scans/check to recommend services needed and new transmission sourced and installed. Dory the Little Mule is running a thousand times better now!

I spent $4000 to have a transmission rebuilt in my Nissan quest 2013. That was a waste of money and time. The owner of the shop did not do a good job. The car was making noise while driving. The transmission was not properly rebuilt. I parked the car somewhere because I couldn t drive it. The new rebuild $4000 transmission did not last a monthService: Transmission

Attempted to have them replace my transmission with a used one( its rare and hard to find, remanufactured wasn't an option). They said they found one, I asked for the date code to ensure it is the correct one. Back and forth calls over a couple days trying to figure it out. I called there today to find out they sold the transmission and claimed I didn't want to do anything with it. I would've bought it day one if they could've provided the build date. Not thrilled about the experience. Especially after calling every transmission shop in town and this was my only option.

Don't go to this place the man is rude as hell and gives you the run around on your paperwork. He lies about the work he has done. He does not keep up with paperwork.

dad broke down for the first time ever in our 1999 xk8 across the street from mr. transmission, long story short but they were able to take the car in, work it within schedule and replaced our alternator and battery at a fair and reasonable price, did not feel scammy like our experiences with many other places. seemed like honest people who tried to help as best they could.while they could not get the 'battery not charging' light to go away, they sorted out the battery and alternator, tried their best, and it has been fine since, with voltage testing normally on voltmeter well after they sorted it out. I suspect the light is some other unrelated issue because it has been on for a long time.may need to bring the car back for transmission service or rebuild in the future, of all odds they just happened to be rebuilding the transmission on an xj8 at the same time, so it was nice to know they were familiar with them.Services: Electrical, Battery

Please do not take your car to this shop. We took our car to them 8 months ago and had a used transmission installed a transmission that they hand picked. We end up paying over $1800.00. This morning transmission fluid just start gushing from the bottom of the transmission. Yes, I understand it was a 6 month warranty but it wasn't even a full 2 months out of warranty. They had no understanding that we basically paid you $1800.00 to ride around for 7 1/2 months. She also told me there was and oil leak (don't remember the name of the seal) and she stress to me that I should go ahead and get it done while the transmission was out or when it does go bad it will be more expensive if I did it later (I did it) got my car back was driving for about 2 days oil pressure light comes on. come to find out they didn't put oil back in the car. There not dependable at all......Just like the plastic piece under the front of the car that lets you know if you are on the curb, got my car home notice one side was hanging call up there and let them know the guy that worked on it swore me up and down he didn't mess with it and that I must have it something..... I do admit I flipped out on the phone but, it's just something about people lying and you know they lying and you know THEY know they lying that just get's under my skin. Long story short................Do not take your car to them there are not trying to satisfy customers and build future relationships they just want your money rather they do a good job or not.Looking at some of these reviews they must have wrote themselves. I don't she none of that. Oh and one more thing she charged my account twice had to show her on my phone where they took out the money twice.We will be reaching out to corporate regarding this and the Better Business Bureau

My boyfriend took his truck there to get the transmission rebuilt and they first told him it would be done on a certain day and he took off work to go get it and when he got there, he found out that something worse was wrong with it, so they took it apart and come to find out the first person who rebuilt it did it wrong. So they tried to fix it and ended up sending it somewhere else. This business is not very organized and they kept pushing back when he would be getting it. I do not recommend.Service: Transmission

Go literally anywhere else!!!!My husband took my vehicle to Mr Transmission against my wishes. $4500 later a replaced transmission, radiator and various other parts...I still have an inoperable vehicle. I asked for only a quarter of my money back so that I can get it fixed elsewhere and they said they they couldn t help me. I just got my car out January 14th 2020 and it has been back 3 times because it stalled and the check engine light came on. Each stall I left me my baby and toddler stranded literally in the middle of nowhere. Vehicle STILL ISN'T WORKING. I ve called every day 2 times a day every day (politely) asking to speak to the manager to resolve the situation. I have yet to hear from anyone. My next step is legal...because this is straight up crooked and so so so unprofessional.

We had transmission trouble on the way to our family vacation. We called several shops including this shop and the woman who answered was so helpful and knowledgeable. And they had closed up an hour earlier! She kept me on the phone asking about symptoms with our transmission and offering advice on what the issue may be. We made it the rest of the trip at lower speeds to our destination. This was a relief as it was 96 degrees out and we had a place booked.

I took my Nissan Murano there because it had stop working in the middle of the road and this was the closest shop. Just down right they took advantage of me by charging me ridiculous prices. I was charge to take the car apart and then charge another fee to put it back together do to the fact I didn't allow them to do the work. How you got 2 separate prices to take my car apart and another higher price to put it back together? I'll wait while you read that line again... The worst place to go and I contacted the Better Business Bureau to investigate this business.

Have been dealing with business 7 years now with different vehicles. Mr Adrian is the Mr Transmission knows cars up and down. Have recommended so many to date customers. I only have dealt with Mr Adrian so anyone else I cannot speak for

This auto shop helped diagnose what was wrong with my Rav when others couldn't. Unable to drive anywhere without it running hot, their amazing staff communicated what their findings were & cost as tests showed exactly the problem. They were honest & kept communication open throughout the whole time. If you have an auto problem that has you stumped, it's a good place to bring your auto .

Idk why ppl give them bad reviews I took my truck for a transmission rebuild and I was informed of everything and they kept in constant contact with me. Even the price was good. I'd recommend anyone to them

I have a 2012 Impala and the transmission went out at 123k miles. Chevrolet wanted $6k, Aamco wanted $4500, a lil bootleg mechanic wanted $4k, and Vu's Auto wanted $4100. I was hesitant to go to this place, but the associate thoroughly explained what was needed and gave me a quote for far less. Over $1k less. In addition, when I went to pick up my car, she "knocked a little more off" (about $50). They have integrity. EX: "Ms. Stone you don't need to replace this part because it's still in good shape" and "The dealership charge you that high amount because they don't rebuild transmissions even if it's something as simple as a rusted bolt, they only replace them" etc. I didn't give them 5 stars because of course nobody's perfect, I don't like the short warranty (12 mths/12k miles) and she wasn't able to adhere to the initial timeline she gave me, but overall I'm still satisfied and would go back again. If anything goes wrong (it's only been about 3 weeks now) and I have issues I'll edit my review, but for now this is it!!

These are some decent, honest and hardworking people. We are very glad that we placed our trust and vehicle in their hands, they did a perfect job at a very reasonable price and had it ready on time.

They had my used transmission installed in one day. Great people and great work. Very affordable. Will definitely go again next time I need transmission work.

I actually went to view shop just off blanding blvd, orange park, it s the most unorganized place I have ever seen, looks like a used furniture store. I just have never seen anything like itI know shops are not supposed to be neat and clean however I m personally not interested in doing business with someone who request CASH and a shop that looks like a fire hazard. That s just my opinion. My father owned Mikes Auto parts, I ve always checked out shops but no way here.

I took my truck to them. They are supper friendly and helpful. I am grateful that Cody took the time to explain things in a way I could understand it. I would recommend them for any of your vehicle needs

I called them after my son was in an accident and they took care of everything for me. They are incredible. They do everything. Not just transmissions. Great prices and incredible service

They charge too much. They tell you one thing and it s another. They are not professional. Make sure if you use them to get a receipt for ant estimates. Ended up in a fight!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission
