This location has constantly screwed me over! Not the current staff but everyone before Patrick and I can name them one by one. I keep being charged for services that I m not receiving. Struts, shocks, wheel barings, front end alignment and even tires! Lucky I check before pulling out the parking lot and showed them the original tire was still on the car in which I was compensating with a free oil change. I ve went in for brakes and rotors and left with shocks and struts only to get in my car and still notice the brakes still grinding! The manager at the time took my car for a drive around the building and said yep you need brakes and rotors ! Keep in mind I had just paid over $1k for shocks and struts (that was never installed) he then says he would wave the labor but I ll have to pay for the parts! The long shark as he would say ended up paying for the parts after telling him that I would report him!! How do I know? Because another auto shop tells and showed me the original manufacture parts!! I can t stress enough to corporate that this has happened and not hear back from them in regard to my complaints. I ve paid over thousands just to have this location tell me that they will give me a discount on the labor to complete the job that was never done! I m sick of Mavis and its employees let alone corporate for not returning my calls!!

I walked into this location and the workers were extremely welcoming. Patrick was the manager on duty and he set the standard. He was knowledgeable and pleasant. He went out of his way to ensure that I knew what was going on with my car and what I needed to do to ensure that the problem never occurred again. Charlene was the representative that helped me and she was also extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. I will be returning to this location in the future. Don t hesitate to visit them! You won t regret your decision.

My appointment was at 12:30 it is 2:07 and my car hasn t even been pulled yet. I am only here to get an oil change. DO NOT COME HERE they re slow and waste peoples time! My whole day is gone because they book people for an appointment and cannot deliver at a reasonable time. Please save your time and money and go somewhere else. The Mavis on Dun Ave needs to be shut down!!

Bought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation and as always they are very professional, kind and exemplified personality perfection their staff shows the epitome of teamwork. You will not be disappointed this location truly serves the heart of our community well. Mr. Patrick is A+ .he is stellar in his management style and he is a very warm person. He s trustworthy and wasn t pushy concerning the continual maintenance was professional about up sailing that was required for my vehicle. And let me speak about Charlene my Twin girl, she is the first representative ofMavis when you walk into the door and she has amazing energy. Thanks guys for a pleasant morning .ending this . I watched how they handled each customer and it was consistent.

Due to negligence when I had my vehicle serviced at Mavis on Dunn Ave in 12/2022, I learned today that two of the wheel hub studs on the front left wheel were not attached (barely bitten), two were attached and one was completely missing, so the wheel was barely attached to the car yet still was retained even through normal driving, including higher rates of speed and poor weather conditions. I was absolutely livid. Thankfully we never had any issues, but clearly they were just waiting to happen. No one has touched that wheel since Mavis worked on it, and the experience then was so awful that I couldn't imagine bringing the vehicle back, so it was Mavis that caused the problem. I called this Mavis location and explained, and was told to bring it in and they'd see what they could do.25 minutes later at 25 MPH with the wheel attached only by two studs out of five, I brought the car in. The issue was diagnosed in the parking lot without the wheel being removed, that the wheel hub assembly needs to be replaced. I was quoted almost 100 percent of the regular cost (100 percent labor, probably ten percent off of parts if that) firstly because they "didn't know what was done to the vehicle" between my last visit and today, and then because it had been beyond a year from the original date of service (just shy of four months out). I informed them that until today, no one had touched that wheel. Now the issue according to the person I was speaking with was that no one else had touched the wheel for maintenance! I was then given other alternate "reasons" for not making the situation right, which were completely ridiculous and contradictory to the other "reasons" given.Bottom line is that due to this specific issue which compromised my family's safety, I would expect that Mavis would want to make it right. I even said that I don't mind paying something, as since it's been beyond a year I felt that a compromise was appropriate, but that almost 100 percent was egregious because of the issue. This wasn't wear and tear, or something more benign, it was a safety issue that could have resulted in injury or death to myself and members of my family and it was caused by Mavis. I cannot believe that the vehicle was released to me in that state in December of 2022, and it's disappointing that the newer management here has no interest in making it right and retaining a customer whose trust in the business has evaporated. Very unhappy with this location.

I m from out of town and needed my tire patched. Charlene Barnett and Patrick Selden were extremely helpful, professional, and friendly. They took great care of me and my vehicle. I would highly recommend them to anyone who who s traveling through Jacksonville in need of great service! Ask for Charlene and Patrick, you won t be disappointed!

Scheduled tire installation through Amazon. Made a 10:00am appointment. Arrived on time. I was informed the wait was backed up 3-4 hours because no workers came in. Fine. But I have 1 car and things to do. I asked as a courtesy if they could text me when it s time for my car service while I complete other errands in the area. He said no, they don t do that. So I asked if I left and completed some errands if I would lose my place in the appointment line. He said yes. Piss poor service. If I m willing to work with your staffing dilemma which is no fault of mine, it would be a no brainer simple customer service gesture to text or call when your car is nearing time for service. I have NO idea why Amazon switched from Pep Boys, but never again will I be coming to Mavis.

This place is second to none , they really go above and beyond for customers. My father in law had an emergency tire issue and John and Charlene are outstanding at their job. I can t recommend this place enough. If you need some tire or brake work done this is definitely the place for you!

I had an issue with a tire come up out of nowhere and quickly scheduled an appointment within a couple days of the issue occurring. Patrick and his team were fantastic in the quality of service and how fast they were able to get me in and help me out! Definitely recommend and will be coming back for any future needs!

Levi at the Dunn Ave location was great! I was in and out quickly. He was very informative in letting me know any upcoming issues I may have with my car and an estimated time I had to get it fixed. He was really funny, courteous, and very nice. This was my first time at this location but it will not be my last.Thanks Levi for all your help!! I appreciate it.

A few weeks ago we were traveling home from Florida to Ohio on a Friday and an hour into our trip we hit something on the highway and punctured both passenger side tires. We couldn t travel far because the tires were losing air. We had two local tire dealers tell us there was nothing they could do as they were too busy to help.We made our way to Mavis on Dunn Ave and we CAN NOT say enough good things about the staff there. They were extremely busy as well but was sincerely concerned about our situation. They worked us in between jobs and even after we left, though it was closing time Tony took the time to take photos of our tires and text them to me so I could file a claim and NOT once made us feel like we were inconveniencing him.Patrick, Charlene and Tony (and anyone else who worked on our car) you are exceptional people and Mavis is blessed to have you representing them.Because of you, we made it home safe!! And we can t thank you enough!

Went to Mavis on Dunn Ave to make an appt for the following day to get a bulb replaced. The manager Patrick was eager to help and told me he would be on the look out for me the next day. I m a senior woman and when I arrived he met me outside and advised that I could stay in my car. The service was quick, efficient and cost less than what u had been quoted by other companies. Patrick and his staff were very professional and friendly. They have gained a new customer.Thanks..Jewel

The shop's computers were down when I entered the shop, but Patrick was able to provide quick estimates, and his team did a tremendous job on a busy Saturday. Excellent service!

DO NOT DO IT! Found out they never did my oil change wow i been driving with no oil. Throw the entire company way. I have had nothing but bad experiences. If you get a "complimentary" service make sure you get a paper trail. People tempering with my car doing incomplete jobs Since they changed the name to mavis tire. This entire company is a scam Mavis atlantic mavis dunn ave. Just stay far away! And dont reply to my review to contact solutions because your company is a joke! What you need to do is refund my money contact me about that!

Very Helpful! I called in to see if they could fix my tire after 6:30 on a Thursday night. They told me come right in, I was out before 7. Super nice and courteous on the phone, with a willing to help attitude. Plus, they offer free air. This was My first time ever getting serviced at a Mavis, I ll definitely be back! Do recommend!!!

I called to schedule an appointment three days in advance for a Wednesday morning. They said that I wouldn t need an appointment. I show up at 8:15 AM to be told it would take an hour to see my car. After that hour they put my car in the air where it was for 55 minutes so at this point it has been almost two hours and they then told me they couldn t do the work on my car because parts needed to be replaced and it was going to triple the cost. I m upset I waited long after not being able to schedule an appointment and I was there for almost two hours and I left with ZERO work done on my car. Pretty sure they were trying to get me to pay more money based off their conversations I overheard with others. Going to get a second opinion. Probably won t come back here. Even if it does cost 350 for an alignment, I rather give that money to someone who cares about their customers. Not deciding an hour later to tell someone why no work has been doneAlso, they tried to loosen bolts but said they couldn t get them off, but my car is shaking and pulling way more than it was befroebi

This place is so unorganized. Customer service is great. Every time I come here I deal with Maria. She has such a positive attitude and very understanding. It seems like she is always there by herself working the front desk. There is never enough staff. You are going to wait all day with your car If you go to this place. The only reason I m giving 5 stars is because of Maria s customer service

I highly don t recommend this place I just came to get one tire and I had 0 lights on when I went there and then after they were done the light was on , then they lost my dust cap to my car and I tried to tell the guy my light was on and he said this is Jacksonville there are lots of nails in the road but you just put a tire on my car didn t say anything about a nail being in my tire but there isn t one in the tire anyways it s just the way he said it , didn t even have the time of day to come and look at why the light was on ! I m very upset about my dust cap I don t even know why they took that off anyways ! And the lady at the desk ask to look at my phone and she makes her own review on google I was not happy with my service so I m not going to give you five stars !

Great experience! I took my 2011 SRX Lux to Mavis because of front end noise, pulling, and other strange sounds. It was no longer fun to drive. I left my car at Mavis the night before so they could start in the morning. I received a call before 9:00 AM, with their recommendation and the cost of each part and total. I was also given the estimate completion date, which is always important! I am pleased to tell you that Mavis exceeded my expectations, and the price was indeed reasonable! Now I enjoy driving my vehicle again! I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for good service and good customer service for a reasonable price! Very pleased with this experience! (6 STARS)!
