Overall this is was excellent experience all-around. Scott and the techs were so helpful and responsive throughout the entire process from start to finish. Continuously communicated what was happening and what to expect. Removing the extra stress of an already stressful situation. We are so pleased with the service, warranty options and we're back on the road and on the move. The transmission is driving strong. We appreciate the attention, honestly and good workmanship!

Took my 2013 Dodge Ram here after 3 years taking it to the dealer and other mechanics. The owner Anthony was amazing!!! Kept me informed of the progress and fixed a problem nobody else could figure out or fix for 3 years. Highly recommend

Stole my break rotors, tried charging me $1500 for items that were not needed, went to a real professional and got photos of the items that were in place of my old rotors, basically stole my rotors and put junk yard items on my car and told me, "the car vibrates at 50mph and to break harder to get through the vibration" if I were to follow his instructions, the vehicle would have flipped, killing all passengers and driver. Never going back to this place, would follow up with lawsuit if anything was to happen.Definitely do not recommend, they steal parts from drivable vehicles.Photos below are the "new" $500 Brake Rotors. If this is their idea of new, they need to be shut down immediately.Service: Auto brake repair

Used them back in 2018 to rebuild the transmission on my old truck. They kept me in loop for with what was going on, gave multiple options when unforseen problems arose and did what they said they would do. Years later, transmission shifts exactly as it should when it should. Solid work.

He had quoted me on a turbo 400 transmission when I went there he was over twice the price of what he quoted he is not ethical he doesn't know what he's doing on high performance

I took my 16 year old daughters Chevy Impala if due to an ABS and Tracktion control fault, 1 of the part strores sold me to wrong part and I quickly realized it was a job to big for me to do. Anthony took the time to show me the correct part and advised me that I should do both sides. I m glad he did because when he showed me the old parts both hub bearings were going out and the rotors were severely worn. I had them replace all the brakes and rotors while they were working on the car. The price for all the work and parts was very reasonable and they made sure that the car was safe and I understood what was done. They say they specialize in transmissions but can help with most any issues you have, if they can t they will let you know and can point you in the right direction. I highly recommend them and will go back for any future needs.

Professional and honest. I appreciate that Ken didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. After a quick scan, they determined the transmission was not the problem. I was recommended this shop by a friend and I would definitely recommend it to others..

I would HIGHLY recommend using this company. Very knowledgeable and very professional. Completed my repair in a timely fashion ..much faster then I anticipated. Prices are much better then other transmission shops (I definitely shopped around). I would recommend that you go NO WHERE else if you want quality repairs in a timely professional fashion!! Extreme Overdrive not only does transmissions.. they repair a variety of other things as well. Ask for Ken... he is a GREAT guy !Service: Transmission replacement

I can see and feel a world of difference in my truck after the work this shop put into my GM. They were very thorough and kept me well informed throughout the entire process. I shopped around for parts used for the transmission repairs, pricing, experience, as well as communication responsiveness before I decided to take my vehicle 4 hours to this location and I'm so glad I did. I drove my truck 4 hours straight immediately after picking it up and it was roaring with new life and also purring cruising down the highway. I'm a very happy costumer and will most likely bring my vehicle back for any other major issues I may have in the future. If anything changes I will update my review, but I really don't think it will be necessary.Services: Transmission, Engine repair

Probably one of the greatest business transactions I ve ever had I had plenty of questions and he answered everyone of them thoroughly He sent me pictures of the transmission build as it was happening which made me feel like he cares about his customers and his quality of work although I m out of state of Florida I couldn t believe he had the transmission delivered to me the day after I bought it over the phone!!!!! having doubts being ill prepared and not knowing exactly what kind of transmission I needed Ken asked me A series of questions which led us to A personal transmission build .Ken Is Someone who truly cares about his work if you want to go fast and you don t have a transmission you need to call him

This place is truly the best. If you are looking for professional quality with superb customer service, go and see Anthony. Very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Very happy with the transmission rebuild they did for me the truck felt totally different and i am really happy with it they did a really great job, very friendly and communication was really good they had the truck done in a timely manner. Lost 3rd and 4th gear in my 00 Z71 1500. Called Ken and was given a quote. He and his crew were there on time and finished the job ahead of schedule. He was very thorough in explaining what they did and what processes they use. My truck now runs better than it did when I bought it. I 100 percent recommend using these guys for all of your transmission needs. Ken, Ivan, and James I cannot thank you enough for the job you performed.Update: 12000 miles on the transmission and still running strong. Thanks again guys.

Took my Toyota Rav4 to them transmission seemed to be slipping they did checked it out and said I needed a catholic converter and O2 sensor, took the car home and replaced the cat. and o2 sensors. It fixed the problem know it is running great . Trusted them and will use them again, did not try to sell me something I did not need, oh and to top it off I had taken the car to Beaver Toyota the week before and they told me I needed a new transmission but they could not get the transmission for at least 4 to 6 weeks boy am I glad I would have been wasting my money .Thank You, Extreme Overdrive TransmissionService: Transmission

Called Ken, got a quote. I went to him the next week with my Chevy Silverado , my transmission was installed and ready the next day. Shifted a little hard at first, but once those fluids got moving around in the transmission it start driving like a champ. Price was very reasonable and believe me I price shop everywhere. Came with 18 month warranty. I will update if any problems, but I'm happy so far

I am very happy with the rebuilt transmission I bought... I was putting a 408 stroker motor in a jaguar and my friend recommended Extreme Overdrive for the rebuilt transmission. The price was great, delivery was perfect and the transmission performs like a champ (it's rated at 500HP and I am in the high 400's so it is perfect for now.Anytime I have called with any questions, , Ken was very helpful and responsive... My boyfriend took his truck here to be fixed back in January. Paid $1200 to have his transmission rebuilt..with unlimited mileage warranty for 1 year. Transmission was shot 2 months later. Then again in August. We dropped off the truck and were told he'd only have to pay $400 for hard parts. Fine. It was going to be finished in 3 days. 3 weeks roll around and we get a call saying it's finally done but it'll be $800 for all sorts of other things "wrong with it." This place is not reliable nor would I trust them with another vehicle again. Horrible customer service, awful bad at sticking to a quota. They don't tell you what's wrong with your vehicle until it's time to pay up. Do not come here. You'll end up paying twice as much as you need to. This guy is a scam and a thief. He came up with every excuse possible as to not warranty the truck.

Please do yourself a favor do not use these people. I've been through 4 transmissions in the same vehicle. I don't know what the problem is. I'm out almost 8000 and still have to buy another transmission. Save your money and go elsewhere

Ken was amazing. he delivered what he said he would. Excellent time frame. 700R4 works Amazing! Ken got on the phone with me to explain the TV cable initial adjustment and was very knowledgeable and patient with me. Talked me through it with ease. Very happy with my experience at Extreme Overdrive. I needed my 700r4 rebuilt in my old suburban 4x4 and they built me a great one. They installed a few mods for performance and longevity with big tires but didn't try to upsell me a bunch of junk. Name brand parts at great prices. Greatly improved the drivability and I run lower rpms on the freeway saving gas and wear and tear on the engine. Old school transmission builder with quick turn around. If you need transmission work, this is the place.Service: Transmission

Needed a replacement transmission for my 500hp ls2 98 trans am. Got a rebuilt trans and stall converter for about $1200 with 1 year warranty. Met all 3 guys... puller, rebuilder and the boss... each are knowlegable and great mechanics. I told them exactly what I needed and they gave me an awesome transmission!Shifts sweet and quick as lightning. From what I understand these are new mechanics and owner... only reason for the low rating.

They do great work. They rebuilt the transmission and rear end in our blazer years ago. Still no problems after over 10 years. I always leave 1 star because there's always room for improvement.

I purchased a transmission from the owner Ken at first it was perfect, I lost reverse in my transmission called him up he said its under warranty and would fix it. Ok it's been months since I last spoke to him, he has been avoiding my calls and my wife's calls , charged me 2,060 for my trans and didnt even last me a year. Dont deal with this guy ,he is a scam artist and my wife and I are pursuing legal action against him and his company

The transmission on my Chevy Avalanche went out on me during the holidays. I found this company on Craigslist since no local shops in Tallahassee were open or had no 4l60e's ready to go. I contacted the owner of this shop not during business hours and he opened his shop for me. He stayed in contact while I pulled my transmission and drove 2 hrs to Jacksonville. When I arrived he had EVERYTHING I needed ready to go. He even gave cleaner for my transmission lines and loads of advice. I can't thank him enough. The truck now runs better than ever and the shifting is amazing. The price was exceptional as well! This place was a blessing for me. First class

If I could give a - I would. We paid Ken at Extreme Overdrive $4500 to rebuild my 4L85E transmission. We paid for HIGH PERFORMANCE PARTS. In less than a week I was left stranded on the road, my tranny out. Called Ken, he found every excuse in the book to not cover us under his warranty. We shelled out another $1300 to have him fix again. Picked up my van and 2 days later... Tranny out again. I was stuck out in Orlando. Decided to take the van to a local transmission shop to check it out. We opened up transmission and was a BONE STOCK transmission. None of the parts that we ordered were in the transmission. Called Ken... He refuses to fix what he has done, he agreed to get me parts, I drove up to Jax to pick up my parts that I ordered... He handed me a box of used, refurbished parts. Called Ken again, says that is all he can do. I paid for a billet input shaft, he put a stock one, he refuses to provide me with the part I paid for and refuses to refund my money for the parts that were not provided. BESIDE THE FACT THAT HE IS SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL AND CURSES AT HIS CUSTOMERS BUT...THIS MAN IS A CROOK AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONDUCT BUSINESS IN FLORIDA.

These guys are very unprofessional and unethical. AVOID!!! After spending over $2,000 with this company, I had more issues after I picked my truck up then I did when my truck was towed there. In an attempt to resolve the issue, (Ken) advised he would handle the problem and then after numerous attempts, he then played or acted dumb by saying "he never worked on my truck". Also offering a cash only deal with no tax included. I believe this is tax fraud, I am currently looking into it... DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!

I have to admit, I was thinking that this is a small shop and I might not get such good service. Boy was I wrong, they made my transmission work better than when it was new. They told me about how long it would take and they were well within the time frame. I truly would recommend these people over a lot of places that I stopped at for comparable prices and service.
