Worst shop I have ever brought my car to. I made an appointment for 9 am on a Friday. I got there and proceeded to wait for over 4 hours before being told that they might not even touch my car today. I had to get a ride an hour back to my house. I was then called on Monday and was told that it was fixed (it was brought in for electrical issues. And all the easy steps and checks were already taken) I then got a ride an hour back to their shop, payed over $150 and was told that all they did was replace a fuse. I have replaced the fuse many times and it never worked. I went to check my car, and it was still giving the exact same problems. My car was left up there for almost 2 weeks after that with zero communication unless I reached out first. Even when I got a reply it was short and gave no information. Just always we re working on it finally I got tired of waiting and asked them to have my car put together and ready for me to pick up. I picked my car, drove an hour home before realizing that they had left all of my headlight bolts loose (down to the last couple threads), left one of my headlights completely unplugged, along with leaving 2 of my fuse boxes open. Overpriced and won t give you timely results if they give results at all. Highly disappointed as this shop was referred to me and I had high hopes.

I had a problem with my 1993 Cadillac brougham an I couldn't find anyone to fix it ....until I talk to a someone that recommended this shop for older cars ....so I took it there... this guys went out of there way to help me find a part that it which it's only for this model an now it's been a month since I got it fix an everything works perfect.... so if you need your car to get fix... I would highly recommend this shop ....thank you Tony, Tyler an crew

Wow, I am very impress of everyone at Bridges Auto and Electric. I took my Hummer H2 to get a check on my A/C unit after a quote from another Company who quoted me thousands of dollars. Bridges found the problem and was fixed at $65. They also installed my LED Light Bar and sealed my Cab lights. A special thanks to Tyler, Corey and the ladies at the front desk. JOB WELL DONE!

I found this place last year when my hybrid battery system went out and was recommended as barely no one will work on Hyundai hybrids. Refused to get ripped off at the dealer again!!!! These people are HONEST and VERY knowledgeable. Very professional and nice and explains everything and are very fast. I will never go anywhere else. Anytime I need anything they are there for me. First time there I left my bag with my wallet and money in the front of the car. I felt such honesty and peace while discussing my options and them answering my questions that I was not worried. And YES it was untouched!!! This is honesty and respect which you don t see much of these days. Every single person there goes beyond what you expect and prices are great. They were honest, humble and kind. Transparent about the repairs needed for my car and got me taken care of and out of there under a week. They were so gentle with me despite me being an overly emotional pregnant lady with a deployed husband and a 5 year old in tow coming in from Coggin Honda that wanted $6k+ and told me a needed a new engine when in reality I needed some gaskets and valves. They took care of me and I m greatful

I unfortunately broke down and I had to get my car towed to a mechanic. (My belt decided to jump off and I had a oil Leak as-well) I choose this location because it was close to my home; I had never been here before but my experience with this shop was amazing. The receptionist Lydia helped me though initial process, she was very kind and made me feel secure knowing my car was in good hands! Not only did they get my car done in a fast and timely manner but they were also very professional! When talking to the mechanic they even had enough integrity to not charge me for a part they installed but accidentally broke. Overall I m very impressed, I will be taking my car for any future repairs!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

I always go to Bridges for all my car maintenance. I have worked at Publix for 27 years and I know what premier customer service looks like. Bridges displays premier customer service at all times. They genuinely want to do a great job and take care of their customers. Everyone has car maintenance of some kind at some point. I highly recommend Bridges for all of your needs.

They are friendly and knowledgeable. I have visited their shop several times for a variety of mechanical issues, and I left each time 100% satisfied. The costs for service were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this shop.

Great service, excellent staff! The quality of their work is always top notch. I drive a lot for work and they always make sure my car is safe and ready to go. Dawn or Jeff always work to get my car scheduled in a timely manner. These folks at Bridges charged us $27. For replacement of a single valve stem on a tire that we brought in. Bridges repair did not even have to take the tire off of the car. And they charged us that overcharged us, last time it was $10 and that was recently. I've been in there three times for three valve stems and this is the most expensive. The inside of the place smelled horrible couldn't even breathe in there. Had to hold the door open just to breathe it smells like dog. I don't mind the dog, but when your place smells like dog it's time to do something. I will never recommend them again. I have been recommending them for years but will not ever do it again.

Installed hybrid battery in my Hyundai from best hybrid battery .com and I saved $10,000 because the dealer wanted $12,900 . Key Hyundai is a rip off.

Great Mom, Pop & Son Auto repair shop! Corrected my main electrical issue. Found a burnt out harness that will need to be replaced. They fixed my headlight issue which was major. Called Friday evening explaining how my A/C decided to quit on me. They said the earliest I'd be able to get my car in without a huge wait was Wednesday. No sweat (well with the exception of this heat but I digress). Over the weekend I did a little troubleshooting on my car. I got the A/C to work but I was still hesitant and kept my appointment. Dropped my car off this morning, explained everything I did, showed them the manifold gauge set's readings, and turned over the keys. One of the mechanics said I did about half the work for them and that it really helped. When I picked my car up a little later, they said that I had been about a 1/4 low on Freon, so they evacted the system and refilled it. It ran me around $70 which I found absolutely amazing as I was thinking it was going to cost me so much more. They said my gauge set readings was a good indication my freon was possibly low as I had written the outside temperature at the time of the readings. I am very grateful for their communication, they didn't throw my troubleshooting aside like other shops because "I'm not a mechanic" or "I don't know what I'm talking about", and they're reasonable with their pricing.On a second note, I definitely will be going back, not just because of the great service, but because of the puppy in the office!! He's so adorable!!

Took my classic car for front suspension rebuild. I will now have to take it elsewhere to have the work inspected. I assumed they did a good job. But now I am finding damage to the lugs from being put on so tight. One tire only had 1 lug holding it on. Luckily it didn't fall off and cause serious damage.will have to get all tires checked. They were very rude when I called and will not take credit for their mistake.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Auto brake repair

Joe did a great job fixing the electrical problems on my 1966 Chevy C10. Diagnosed and replaced my brake light switch and ignition wire. All for a very reasonable price and under 2 hours time.

Awesome experience from the macanics, the front end to the owners. And the two four legged welcome committee are the bomb. Honest people. I took my car in for a simple tuneup. I brought it in with no problems and left with a car that had a check engine light on and a light that says EPC. I had another mechanic look at it today and he is saying that they have broken some lugs and some things in the engine that will now need to be replaced. so after $600 for some brakes, headlight, and a tuneup. I now have a broken car that needs actual work. This is after they kept my car for two days without informing me this would happen. Luckily, the new mechanic is a family friend, and can be trusted. I would never trust this business ever again. Absolute rip off.Services: Auto engine tuning, Brakes, Oil change

I took my car here to repair a/c no longer blowing cold air. The cooling fan was broken and replaced. I was told there were no leaks in the system. It worked for a month, then, back to blowing warm air. I paid 1,000 for the fan replacement and a can of R-1234yf which leaked out in a month. Brought it back and was told a senser was stuck and was fixed. A month later, blowing hot air. I took it in again, was told they didn't have the equipment to flush the a/c for a proper recharge and would need to have the dye put in to find out why it's leaking. Then, go down the street to have it repaired by another shop. What?? I took it to another shop on my own and was advised there were three separate leaks and the mechanic fixed two of them (one was going to cost $2500 and he believed what he did may take me out for a year and charged me $200. That included recharging the system. These guys never tested it the first time, LIED!! TOOK MY MONEY AND LEFT ME BACK AT SQUARE ONE FOR NEEDING REPAIR!! I WOULDN'T TAKE MY CAR HERE AGAIN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I WAS ALSO TREATED LIKE I WAS BOTHERING THEM!!

As always Bridges Automotive has came through for my families car needs. Very reliable and very dependent. When I take a vehicle there I know it s going to be in GREAT hands. I have taken all of my vehicles there and handled with superior service. It is getting harder to find a great mechanic that isn t honest. Search is over for the Jacksonville area. Super friendly family owned business that is Honest.

My car broke down this morning and they were able to replace the fan motor and the oil pan gasket in a few short hours. Really friendly people. Not over priced.Overall great experience.Service: General repairs & maintenance

It is a rip off. They had my car for 3 weeks to replace a timing chain. Prior to completing repair, they wanted 2600.00 more for additional repair according to their estimates. I declined due to trust issues with the work already done and the shop's owner. I had to pay an additional 658.00 totalling 1500.00 to get my car back and I had to tow it because they didn't repair it. I don't recommend this business to anyone who wants fair and honest work done one their vehicle. I would rate it a -0 if I could.

A gem of mechanics! Family owned, family ran. I drove around in the beginning looking for electrical work, I was recommended by another mechanic, glad I went. Above and beyond, great job . Be prepared to leave your vehicle a few days as they are mostly busy, but worth the wait. From oil changes and tune ups, to light electrical work and A/V , well rounded, one stop does all. Highly recommend
