Very trustworthy and adorable. Best bang for your buck. My initial quote was $488. The next day when I came in, they figured out the root cause of the issue. Turns out it was a different issue, yet they dropped the price in half anyway!

So This garage and Steve single handedly fixed an electrical issue I have be dealing with for over six months. And did it in like four days.They do good fast work at very reasonable prices. Take your vehicle here and I do not think you will regret it.I strongly recommend them.They are also very good about communicating with you and sending you a detailed report with pictures of the work as they are completing it.

American Garage has really cool diagnostic testing and they'll send link to results pages right to email/text, The vehicle is inspected rather quickly and repairs made fast too. Total cost was better than most places. American Garage!

we took a day trip down to jacksonville from charleston to pick up some sound equipment, got a flat and was towed to American Garage on friday night, we didn t realize the shop is closed on the weekends (completely our fault) and panicked because we have a flight to catch on monday back in charleston, Steve and his staff were amazing to take time out of their weekend to come get our key out of the drop box for us! Very kind and trustworthy people to go out of their way to help us out. Thank you again

A fantastic family owned garage that will take the upmost care of you and your vehicle!I have been coming to Steve s shop with my BMW s for a while now. After many many recommendations. I first met him with my 328i with a leaking oil pan. BMW wanted way too much money to replace it with another stock plastic pan. Steve and his shop was able to source a higher quality metal oil pan for way less than the dealer was wanting. I was expecting a week or so for such a job but was very surprised when they had it done within a day!I have since upgraded to a newer 650i and have been continually impressed with their ability to perform all the required maintenance and repairs on it for fantastic pricing and professionalism.Steve and his crew runs a shop to the highest standards I have ever seen. I truly believe that Steve (owner) is absolutely honest with me about what I really need to fix and what I don t. He told me to take my car to the dealer when it was burning oil before it hit 100k, and I wish I listened to him (maybe I would still be driving it). Previous mechanics did not mention it to me. He actually collected the used oil and showed it to me in person. Anyway, I highly recommend this shop. Make sure you talk to him even if it is on the phone or via text. The mechanics at this place might tell you need to do ten things, but Steve will tell you which one of those ten do you really need.

Y'ALL ARE AMAZING!! I took a 2009 Honda CRV in for a pre purchase inspection. Upon the inspection were three things that were big worries-- y'all were upfront and honest, and I was able to negotiate the dealership into fixing those issues for me while staying in my price range. You have earned a customer from me going forward, and my sister too. We really enjoyed how hospitable and kind everyone was, and how y'all showed us everything to help us get what was worth it for our money and time. Thank you so much! I'll definitely be back!

I used American Garage for the first time three years ago for my intoxalock system. They were very professional and reliable! I have also gotten tires, oil changes and tire balances from them since! I made a very last minute appointment to get a pre-purchase inspection done. It was my first time going to American Garage and MAN I wish I had found them sooner! They were responsive, organized, & quick, and when they finished they emailed me a full Vehicle Condition Report complete with a checklist of every inspected item. For the items that needed service, they included a labeled picture showing exactly what was wrong! From start to finish it was a smooth, enjoyable process. A great shop. They honored a voucher for a tail light repair JSO gave me that even Chrysler Jeep Dodge would not. Not to mention they were extremely courteous. Don't waist your time with the SCAMMERS of the world like Midas and Firestone... I have never felt attached to a mechanic until I met Steve today at American Garage Co. He was honest, thorough, and saved us thousands with a pre purchase inspection.If you re looking for a mechanic, I highly suggest this one. For us at least we have found our new mechanic in Jax (: Thanks Steve!

I took my wife s vehicle to American Garage to repair the Brakes. From the time I called to schedule an appointment to picking up the keys it was a great experience! Everyone I spoke to was transparent and let me know exactly why they were recommending any repairs. Within a few hours of drop off I received a very detailed inspection. It was stress free and my mind is at ease knowing that my wife will be safe driving. We will be returning for any of our future service needs.Service: Brakes

I chose this place for the good reviews & the patriotic name. My husband took my suv in to get an oil change & to get a quote on fixing the leak. This guy tells us there's a leak in the seal & he's gonna have to take the whole engine out to get to it. Quoted $3,000. I told him that was odd considering last time it was looked at it was just the plug. Thank goodness we got another opinion after!! It WAS the plug!! That's a HUGE difference in work & price. I'm disappointed that they were trying to do unnecessary work & charge us so much when it was a simple fix.

I have been very impressed and well taken care of by Steve and his family style team. I used to have my vehicle serviced regularly by the dealer, but I found Steve's team to be better. He is quicker, more accurate, lower cost, and is still using high quality parts and genuine experience to do a once and correct repair. This place has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced! They've won my business for many, many years to come. They got me in and out in about 25 minutes when other shops quoted me 2-3 hours. They fixed my tire and noticed my parking lights were out, so they replaced them for free without me even asking! I was actually speechless. Thank you so much!Service: Tires

We had recent major air conditioning repair. Prompt cost evaluation with alternative estimates. Quick service. No post problems.December 1st, 2020 - Requested Cooper tires. Excellent service. Renee and Steve are wonderful. Very honest and reasonably priced. Have had problems with my Tahoe for a while. Even after taking it to a different shop. They were able to find and fix what the other company messed up. She drives like a brand new car again. Thank you guys so much. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Trustworthy, fair price, staff is friendly and genuinely about your car problems. Having them as my mechanic is like having a doctor for my car. I would never take my second largest investment all over town to save a few bucks based on come-ons in the Mint Magazine!
