I started to go to Auto Zone because they were logistically closer to me but, after I called there and got blown off... I headed to Advanced .I was greeted by a really nice gentleman and he went above & beyond to help me. His name I believe is Mark. He was very knowledgeable and forthcoming with information for me.I will now go to Advanced Auto for all of my needs!Debra H

Buyer beware. Website says they will reprogram your computer in your vehicle if car battery is purchased there. I called to confirm and they said they don t do that. False information on the website.Don t believe what you read.They lost me as a customer.

I don t usually waste my time with reviews unless it s worth it The two gentlemen working when I came by to have my battery checked, were more than helpful in a great mood. Hope the other shifts are on their game!

Went to have battery tested and the employee couldn t even figure out how to connect the battery tester to battery. So I had to hook it up for him. So I thought to myself I should leave and not let him touch my truck. Good job training your employees!

I've lived five minutes from this store for more than 30 years. I will never spend another dime there. My battery died in my 1948 Plymouth. It runs a 6-volt system, but usually I buy 8-volt batteries for them for the extra cranking power. However, this time, my truck was in the shop and I had to have it to drive. I came into this store on Saturday. The guy behind the counter told me the 6-volt battery they had had more cranking amps than the 8-volt I was turning in.When I hooked it up, it wouldn't even barely turn the motor over. So I took it off and took it back Monday. There was no damage to the posts, no damage to the battery whatsoever. I told the guy behind the counter it wouldn't do what they said it would do. He said, "So you installed it?""Well, yeah," I said. "I kind of had to.""Well then you can't return it. That's our policy."I said, "OK," and walked out thinking, that's the last cent I'll ever spend in this store. So I'm out $150 because their employees told me this battery would start my car and it didn't. Their stock is mostly cheap Chinese junk anyways. But, since I live so close, I still would go there for things like oil, brake pads and simple stuff. No more. I will drive the extra distance to O'Reilly's.Interestingly, I went to O'Reilly's after that and there happened to be a regional manager there. I asked him, "Just out of curiosity, what's your store's policy on returning batteries?" He said, "If there's no damage, we take them back." When I told him about my experience a few minutes prior at Advance Auto Parts, his jaw dropped. He said, "Man, that's garbage. I'm sorry. We're big on customer service here."I have two classic cars, my truck, my wife's truck and soon my daughter's vehicle. I do almost all my own maintenance, which means I spend a fair amount of money in auto parts stores. I can guarantee you this, it will not be at this store.

The staff was very helpful in helping me find the parts I needed and The associates at the front counter were very good at helping me find quality parts for my big repair. Jenny was very nice in helping my track down hard to find parts for my vintage car and spent the time to find me the best deals. I would be very happy to use this store again in the future.

I asked for someone to check my battery, and the lady staff member gave a huff. I popped my hood with the button, and she stares at me to open the hood. I didn t know how. She hands me the battery checker.She states she doesn t either and that I ll have to wait for the other staff member. She proceeds to walk inside while I m trying to YouTube how to open it.She proceeds to walk out and tell me that even if they figure out how to open my hood that it will require it to be installed at a dealership by a professional, and they cannot help me.I drove across the street and it s being installed now. My battery was dead. It s a store brand battery.It s a simple thing to help people, and my strength is healthcare, not cars. I did not honestly know how to open the hood. Don t make up a false answer because you want to avoid a task at 830pm at night. As I am leaving I see them walking to their cars at 840pm.I m grateful for another company helping me tonight.

This location is absolutely the best at customer service. I had an issue at another location and called Dawn at this location. She told me to come there and she and her manager would help me. WOW. Dawn and her manager went WAY above and beyond to help my 91 year old Dad and I will never go anywhere else. She didn t HAVE to help bc it wasn t technically HER issue but she did. And that is a rare and wonderful quality these days and is what REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABOUT. Bravo!!! I promised I would give a great review and she said that wasn t necessary but she appreciated it. These folks need to train folks on HOW IT IS DONE.

Mark was my counter person today 21 June 2022. In my opinion he did a great job of helping me in purchasing 3 batteries. A class 78 and 2 8D batteries. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I will be a return shopper.

The guys here are so nice, knowledgeable and friendly. I purchased wiper blades for my daughter new ride and without asking, the guy offered to install. He was super fast at doing so and kind. Thanks again!

I ve been going to the Mandarin location for many years and have always had a positive experience! Employees go out of their way to help. They will go out to my car (when necessary) and help if possible (with minor issues).

Husband picked up what was needed to do his oil change. They had everything he needed. I went in this week to pick up a door dash order (yep. I Dashed some brake rotors ) and the guy at the counter was very helpful and carried everything out to the car for me

Very helpful. Very polite.I told the young man I needed wiper blades.I also told him I was broke.It seems like we all are these days. Just so happened to be that they had windshield wiper blades that they were phasing out. Nothing was wrong with them. They were $5 a piece therefore I was able to get a set. Thank you once again for all of your help.

My friend and I were in Jacksonville to purchase a cammper/trailer and had to convert our existing lights hookup to be compatible with said trailer and of course add braking to it as well. We were told the seller had the proper parts to connect but that was not the case. Uncertain of exactly what we needed, we went to Advance Auto Parts, explained and showed them what our need was and, very patiently, they took, and spent extra time with us to explain several options we had, and the merits/benefits of each.Quite simply, we really needed some insight, a simple, fast way to get the trailer legal and safely drive several hours back home. I will admit having stopped at a Napa store first ( it was closer) and they essentially blew us off, said they could not help us, at all! Conversely, Advantage jumped right in, came from around the counter, selected various parts for our hookup and efficiently outlined each option. Truly, it's refreshing to get educated and courteous customer service such as we just did. I did fail to ask the name of the gentleman who assisted us but hope our sincere thanks somehow reach him in this roundabout way. I am not new to Advantage Auto but I had never walked into one not knowing what exactly I needed. Now I know why they are named Advantage Auto Parts, a name well suited!

Ridiculously poor customer service was rude, agressive, dismissive, and pushy. I stopped interacting with him and a second employee finished my checkout. His attitude was so bad towards me that he would have been fired if they believed in customer service. I will go to other parts stores and stay away from that advance auto parts.

I purchased a battery from advanced auto parts and it was still under warranty, they clearly informed me the warranty was still good, yet refused to exchange the battery because I didn t give them a phone number upon purchase. As a business owner I stand behind my product and work, I don t believe this is a good business practice and I recommend finding an alternative location for your auto parts needs!

I went to Advance for wiper blades. Dawnie found the right size for my car and updated my Advance account info. Steve installed the blades. Dawnie and Steve took good care of me.

Long time customer, that's not always a fan of the hoops customers have to jump thru to get the "deals". While in tonight for, you know, another battery... my man Mark hooked me up with what I needed quickly and told me how to quickly text/check if I had any rewards bucks/coupons/dealios to cash in. Lol. He was super helpful and seemed to be enjoying work. Thanks again!!!!

They were very helpful and I would go there again. somebody on staff can't remember his name unfortunately was very helpful and able test my battery. there's not a lot of places like this left in the world where people are nice and non-judgmental. if you're going to go anywhere in Mandarin for car parts or cleaning or just a basic battery check I would go to this location.

Returning a package to Amazon through their website, UPS locator lists this location as a drop off point.I was met with an employee who stated they were not set up for UPS pickup. I replied that Amazon listed that location as a drop point for returns through UPS to Amazon & asked if they had UPS pick up daily. He said, "yes, but not for that type of shipping." I told him that all UPS had to do was to scan the label. (I owned a retail store years ago and UPS was our primary shipper). He argued and told me that he watched a training video that told otherwise. Thought everyone should know in the event there is any hand holding or money exchange for this service as this location turned me away. Didn't want anyone else to waste their time. I reported it to UPS as well.

Not just saying that most of they're parts are refurbished, when is come to return policy they socks. Better go and expend a little be more on a new part on autozone, cause this fox over here will try to lock for whatever reason to not exchange your product. Not even deserve a one star, costumer service bad as well

This place has heroes working here, Dawn and the others are very knowledgeable and work very hard to get what you need. I am a road service tech that helps people all day every day and when I needed help I was relieved to find this store, I was having break issues and Dawn had parts brought from another location to me at this store. Thank you to all the staff at the San Jose location you guy's and lady are awesome!

Great customer service! I thought I may have needed a new battery. They tested my existing battery and confirmed that a new one was needed. From testing to installation, all in, about 45 minutes! Highly recommend!

Like most others, I've had bad things go wrong with my auto at the most inopportune times. It always seems to be when $$ is the thinnest. This is my go to location for auto parts because they have ALWAYS found additional discounts to fit my budget and work with what I did have to spend at the time. They have never sent me away saying, " sorry, we can't help you." They find a way to make it work with what I have. I would not suggest trying to buy a new battery for $25 but you get the idea, they go above and beyond to not send you away seeking elsewhere.
