So I generally do not leave reviews, ever, but todays experience with Dawnie at this location was utterly appalling.I purchased a set of wipers a year and 3 days ago, and I finally got a chance to drop by after months of the wipers not working, from month 1. I explained I purchased the insurance and was advised that I missed the cut off by 3 days so I d have to buy the wipers again. Its a business, I get it, but that s not what the issue was today.When I asked if they d be able to make an exception, Dawnie was super quick to disrespectfully put her finger in my face and said I m not talking to you, I m talking to him , and pointed to the gentleman trying to help me. OK. Got it Dawnie. I ll wait so you and your team can catch up.After I waited while she explained to the gentleman that I missed the cutoff by 3 days, I asked if you d be able to make an exception. Rules are rules is what I got. So I finally said something about the disrespectful behavior and her piss poor attitude.After I made it apparent that I was unhappy, she advised that the decision is beyond her pay grade and there s not a manager here to ask. When I asked why didn t you say that to begin with, she said she did just a minute ago let that sink in for a second.Learn to treat your customers better. We make exceptions in business all the time (and 3 days?!), and at the end of the day, it s all about customer service, which is something Dawnie and this location absolutely do not understand or display in their behavior with paying customers.I ll spend my money elsewhere, thank you.

Date: 3/9/24Location: 2676 Race Track Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32259Time: 2:40pmEmployee name: Dawn (her shirt read "Dawnie")Preface: My daughter said her car struggled/hesitated to start today and the battery light turned on, then off, so I let her take my car and I drove her car instead. The vehicle started fine for me and I observed no battery light throughout the time I drove it and ultimately arriving at the retail store location referenced above.Upon walking in to the store I was greeted by Dawn. I asked if there was a device that tested the battery, starter and alternator because I wanted all three checked. She was doing some paperwork on a clipboard and gave the impression that she didn't want to be bothered with my request. I felt this way because of her facial expression when I asked her and by the fact that she walked away to grab a hand held device and proceeded to walk out of the door. She did not directly answer my question and didn't even ask me to follow her outside. I assumed she got what she needed and was heading out to my vehicle so I just followed.I lifted the hood to my car, she connected the clamps to the battery and began the test. After the test was complete, she said that the battery tested fine and began to unsecure the clamps. I asked "what about the starter and the alternator?". She said, if the vehicle started and got you here, that 99.9% the starter is fine. While that may or may not be true, I wanted a computer or a diagnostic to tell me that, not her opinion. When I challenged her on that, she said "well we don't test starters". I pointed right to a sign by the front door that states both alternators and starters are tested ... for free. She replied that in order to test the starter, I would have to remove the part and they can test it inside.Then I said that in times past, an employee would have me turn the car on and turn various devices on and off in the vehicle like A/C, high beams, etc. and I was surprised she didn't even need me to turn the vehicle on. She advised that was for testing the alternator. I reminded her that the first thing I mentioned upon greeting her inside was that I wanted all three of those components tested and upon knowing that was my request, she could and should have educated me and set the correct expectation right at the initial customer engagement.When I asked why she didn't run through those same tests, she got snippy with me and said she was going to test the alternator (mind you, after already having removed the clamps) but that I continued to ask her questions. It was at this point I asked her to remove the clamps from my battery because I was done dealing with her. She said she could go get someone else for me to deal with (I think she mentioned the name "Chris"). I said no thank you, and that it appeared she was having an off day and I wished her a better day.I am a long time customer of Advanced Auto Parts, especially at this location, and long before Dawn ever arrived at this store. I have 5 vehicles in my household that I make purchases from your company and this interaction seriously makes me reconsider if I should take my business elsewhere.I prefer someone from corporate or a district manager contact me with how they are going to handle this situation because the level of service I received today was completely unprofessional and unlike anything I've received before from Advanced Auto Parts.

Horrible Experience yesterday . My Daughters car battery was bad and went drive over to get a new one. Larry the store manager was rude and very lazy The price was 15% off online and he wouldn t match it.. He wanted me to login and order it and wait 30 minutes for it to come through to the store He wouldn t even install it first and wait for the order to come in Horrible customer service so we ended up going to Honda an got an OEM battery cheaper with free installation. Don t shop here if you need help .

I would like to give a shout out to the store manager Mike and store associate Dawn for being so professional and helping me through the process as I do not know much about cars...I went into the store with a dead car battery and the people at the store helped me find and price the right size of the battery. After looking at car with the dead battery turns out it was under warranty from the dealer at which point the store associate Dawn worked with me to make the right decision. Although I did not make a purchase, they helped me jump start the car and advised me in making the right decision and save money on the warranty.The store is neat, clean, organized and the people are professional and attentive to the needs of the customer.I love the idea of having a neighborhood store without having to go the expensive repair shops and high recommend this store for your needs.

Top notch customer service! This store has replaced batteries in both of my cars and the level of service was amazing. All associates are super friendly and willing to help. Highly recommend!

Outstanding help!! Had a problem with my battery, even though the line was long staff immediately rushed to help. After diagnosing the issue and made sure that the battery still had some life in it, he told me how to care for it. Very nice, very professional. That is why i keep going back to them for my car parts needs. Thank you

I feel compelled to express how great my experience was today at the Race Track Rd. location of Advance Auto. Debbie worked with me on the purchase and install of a new battery. She was incredibly helpful, informative, and efficient. It was so refreshing to have such quality service from such a pleasant and extremely knowledgeable technician. I almost never write a review of any kind, but Debbie at this location truly deserves the accolades. Thank you!

Battery finally stopped holding a charge so I purchased a new battery after getting a jump. The young man who helped me (Christian?) was personable and professional and I actually enjoyed the experience. Aside from installing the battery he made some additional suggestions without the upsell, answered any questions I had and when I mentioned the wipers were stuck to the windows he verified they were shot, sold me new ones and without prompting he installed them too. Absolutely the best customer service experience I have ever had. I actually enjoyed my time there.

As a long time car guy...I love having a neighborhood parts store...I am all about "Speedperks" for savings on gas and car/truck parts. They also recycle oils and batteries for free!

Ok so Debbie stepped in, no attitude, and listened. She's my superhero. Tony listened and put the wheels in motion. My weekend was ruined, but Debbie made sure next week wasn't. Super props, and many thanks. You went above and beyond for me, and I can't thank you enoughever shop here. Failed to diagnose my problem, then 4 hours or so later refused to give me my part back and take back what I didn't need or refund my money. Their testing equipment, their employee and I'm penalized for their incompetence.

My experience was very bad, it seems like every time I go the service always gets worse. This day especially. Mel the store associate was working today, when I walked in he was on his phone. I walked up to him with my merchandise I was wanting to return. He slowly looked at me and said what so I said I wanna return this thing I bought a week and a half ago, and then he said you can t return something without a receipt Mel was the one who checked me out a week and a half ago when I bought the headlights/merchant merchandise. I looked at him and said you specifically told me I can return it without a receipt as long as it s not opened. He said I did not. And I once again said yes you did I walked in here are the headlights and specifically asked you if I need the receipt. He looked at the headlights and looked at me scanned them and gave me my money back on a gift receipt. I walked away wondering why he lied and was so lazy to not give me my money back.

The folks at this store are just impatient and rude. One guy was very nice but the other two were rude in person and on the phone. They acted like I was taking too much of their time and one kept sighing on the phone and I actually said am I keeping you from something more important? The manager there needs to teach smiles and that rushing people and being impatient gives off a we don t care vibe. And I was buying one item and had THREE questions. Wow.

Because Advanced Auto Parts was the only parts store in my area to have the battery I needed I purchased a battery ($200) for my Hyundai and later in the week I brought it back as the current battery still held a charge (it turned out to be the solenoid). I spoke to Debra/Debie or something, she mumbled a lot. She told me I could not return the battery and walked away.So, here is the issue: One, this may be the worst I have ever been treated at a retail store. No, gosh, I am sorry but or I understand, and I regret the situation, but Just we don t take battery returns. And she walked away to whatever stocking job she had been doing. Simply horrible customer service.Second, I would have been fine with a re-stocking fee even an explanation as to why a battery may not be returned prior to my buying this battery. (I was unaware of any, and still am, of any policy to this effect).Leason learned. I always use O Reily on San Jose because they are always friendly and helpful. Next time, I will wait for O Reily to order a part, save $200 and fix my auto issues without a huge headache and bad service. From reading some of these reviews; at least I am in good company as most sight horrible customer service.

Debbie and Larry at the 2670 Racetrack Road Advance Auto Prts were awesome tonight. They put in my battery and then a windshield wiper quickly and efficiently. They were so nice and helpful. Highly recommend this store! And what a nice surprise to see a female working there, doing everything a man typically does. You rock Debbie!! Thank you again!!

Went in for wiper blades after mine literally flew off in the rain today. Not only were they rude and didn t even seem to want to help me find the size I needed for my truck, but even though the rain had slowed to just a slight drizzle, they refused to help me install them or just make sure nothing had broken to the point that what they sold me would work. I ended up buying the blades there (because I had no choice) and getting the guys next door at the tire place to help me install. I have literally never see. Such poor customer service. I will never go back and if it hadn t been a situation where I didn t feel safe driving somewhere else for the blades I wouldn t have bought anything there today.

Based on the lack customer service I receive from this location every visit, I ll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. During my last experience at this location I was charged twice for one purchase, and did not receive a refund despite the associate s reassurance it had been taken care of. When revisiting the store to request the team to take a look and status the refund, they informed me that they would not be able to search for the transaction and that I would need to call corporate. I doubt this is the case, but I ll go ahead and call anyway. I would consider figuring something else out the next time a customer experiences this instead of asking me to call corporate.

I called to see if they had my type of windshield wipers in stock they said they did. When I arrived Debbie greeted me and looked my wipers and then she installed them for me. What terrific service. Definitely will be going back.

Went to see a family member who works there, this store I have never been in, but waiting to talk to my family member walking around the store was very clean and organized I met other employees also that were very polite as well. I would go back again not because of my brother sake but because of the store itself. Should go by and check it out

My recent experience at this store was outstanding! Spencer went above and beyond in helping me diagnose a potential problem with my 2011 Acura TSX. Had a battery ordered through the website and standing by just in case, but it wasn't needed. Didn't end up buying anything this time, but that didn't seem to matter to Spencer (he happily cancelled the order for me so my credit card was refunded). They earned my loyalty as a customer for all my future auto needs.

There is some very nice helpful guys working up here... bbbuuuuttttt I just so happened to deal with 2 in the same day on the same visit that were clueless and acted like ringing me up when I was ready to check out was a hassle to them.(after I stood patiently for 5 minutes with nobody at the registers). The other very helpful knowledgeable employees that I have dealt with before happened to be outside helping other customers on there vehicles.

This store refused to return a part because they wanted to protect their bonuses. Claims their policy is written however policy is not on the receipt. Dee was very rude, and will never do business here or recommend again!
