This review is for the restaurant. We came for lunch. The restaurant was very nice and had a lot of tables and even a bar area. We ordered the Po Boy Shrimp Sandwich and a Grilled Fresh Hamburger. It was all very good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We sat next to a window which had a lake view. If we wanted we could have sat at one of the outdoor tables as well.

I hate to be this person but this was the worse experience I ve had in a while. I m a local and my husband and I heard this place was good so we decided to go there tonight upon arrival the place looked nice and was clean. We got our drinks ordered our food but that s when things took a turn. I ordered the Cajun pasta with a bowl of clam chowder and it came with salad. My husband ordered the seafood platter and gator nuggets. The soup and gator nuggets came and both tasted like they were dipped in salt. I love flavor I m all about seasoning food but that was extremely over salted. The soup was extremely watery. Ok fine things happen. Then the salad didn t come until the entrees came. Now when our entrees came mine was the Cajun pasta supposed to have shrimp sausage and tomatoes. No sausage at all, it had broccoli in it which I don t remember being in the description but I could be wrong, the sauce was extremely runny it barely stuck to the food. And shockingly it was very bland as If no salt was used my husbands food had no season as well. Now that s just the food aspect. Our waiter .we only had one set of silverware. I asked for another set he never came back with another set of silverware my husband and I shared one set he used the fork I used the spoon. My husband had to keep asking for more tea. We got no tarter sauce or any with his dinner so my husband asked for some and the waiter looked at him like he was crazy infact every time we even asked the waiter for something he gave us crazy looks. I watched him stand at a larger group table talking to them as they were leaving just joking around while I had no silverware. Upon payment he took his machine and checked if we tipped him. Now I m a believer in tipping waiters and waitresses more than the proper percentage but this was absurd service and he still got tipped. The reviews looked good so I was excited to try a new place but now I won t go back. We looked at the menu and everything before we went so it was definitely our kind of place but the food was awful and our server was awful. Not sure if it s because we weren t regulars or the guy thought we weren t going to tip for whatever reason maybe because I had a tablet and I was taking calls because I am oncall for work. I don t know what the deal was but that server needs some serious coaching. Because as I waited for my silverware he was standing by the bar we locked eyes and he turned and went in the kitchen. Again never got my silverware.This place could be amazing. It s a nice venue great location but the food needs serious work and maybe the server was having a bad night but still not a good look. This area doesn t have a lot of restaurant options. You really need to do better because this is just inexcusable. And I hated this review but y all need to fix this and people need to be warned before wasting their money. I wanted to send the food back but again I hate being that person so my husband and I just dealt with it hoping it would get better but it never did it just got worse.Have a good day

We stayed one night love this place! The rooms we excellent top notch so clean. The staff was so friendly very helpful all like family. Very quiet there beautiful scenery. The restaurant was great can have food delivered to your room. Just a great mini get away or great vacation place . They have a boat ramp for boater or fishing people. Are dog friendly too ! Can't wait to go back again!

Great place to eat right on the water on the St Johns River right next to Lake george. Good food with a good menu the staff was very pleasant. There's plenty of parking. Easy to get to. Very nice and relaxing place. If you have a boat you can also come and dock up to their doc. Which is nice as well. I'm not for sure but they also have little places to rent right next door to it.

I live locally so have never rented a room, The location is 2 miles from my home, and right ON the St Johns River. Sunsets are spectacular! Outdoor seating is available, which works out great when they have live entertainment outside. Friendly staff ...it's just my favorite place here.Food & drinks: the food is delicious and not just the typical fried/bar fare. Chowder and Cobb salad mmmm, cheeseburgers and a daily special.

They make you feel at home the second you walk in.. The food is amazing , You can tell they have a chef, not a cook. The owner's come around and talked to you and welcome you to their establishment.. The water view is unmatched.. This is absolutely the best restaurant and location for many many miles around,on top of that they have rooms, you can stay across the parking lot.. They also give tours on on a boat. You don't need a theme park in Orlando. Just come here,you are going to love it!!!

Great restaurant, Great people, Great time. We spent spring break at a nearby VRBO and this is where I launched my boat. I have a rather large boat for these smaller river ramps but i called ahead and the owner assured me it would accommodate my needs. He even came out and walked me down when I showed up! (expected nothing in return) I decided to bring the family to eat here and was not dissapointed. Everything was very good with the exception of the gumbo. I am from Lousiana so I am pretty particular about gumbo. The Servers were all very friendly and you get a true smalltown family vibe. Would recommend this place over certain larger places up-river.

Food needs a little work. Service is a bit slower than expected. Love the lay out. The owner is so friendly and talkative. Got a question about the area... she's got an answer. Rooms were very nice. Cleaning ladies were sweet as could be. (don't forget to leave your tip for what they do for you as well)Felt safe walking around late at night alone. That's a huge bonus for this girl.

Went for a Company over night event, Owner and Staff were great. Food was fantastic. Party boat was included with the event, there are 2 springs in the area, group visited one of them. Also had a band in the evening that was vary good. Vary nice breakest the following morning. It was a great weekend. Linda, Clayton and there staff were great and vary attentive.Rooms: 10+ rooms for rent, king and queen beds. Newly remodeled.

We stopped over on a Sunday afternoon for late lunch and drinks. It was a beautiful afternoon, sat outside on the deck, live music overlooking the river! Food and Drinks were great! One of the best Margaritas I've had! We had the near lovers Pizza, cottage pie and shrimp poorboy! And the BBQ egg rolls. Everythj g was awesome, hot and fresh! We will be back.

Arrived with large group..called ahead..tables for 30 people ready but waited half hour or more for our drinks...even water....another hour to get them...then food order....total of2 hrs 15 min before servedSome food was wrong order..some cold and owner tried to be nice brought nahco chips with salsa to 3tables...chips where stale..Then motorcycle group arried...then the Red Hat ladies groupToo much for the staff to handle...Our Group drove over an hour to get there

We couldn t have asked for a better place. Had an amazing time with close friends on a last minute getaway. Hauled the boat here and used the ramp, the free overnight docking and had a great day on the water hitting a couple springs. And the restaurant on site made it that much better as the food was great, beer was cold and the people were over the top friendly! James, Shirl, Linda, and the rest of the gang feel like family now. We will be back

First time eating here. We ordered a specialty pizza, was missing pepperoni, basil & garlic :( (didn't realize it until we departed). There was a sign on the dock indicating "Happy Hour 4-6", but we were charged regular price for drinks (we were there at 5). Beautiful place though.

First time visiting a couple weekends ago and went back this past weekend. Service was phenomenal. We came by boat and was met at the back porch and seated instantly. The BBQ on the weekends were amazing! I definitely recommend the pork dinner, the Mac and cheese is homemade and so good. The chicken wings were seasoned and sauces just right. Great selection of drinks Great views of the st johns River from the back porch, had the 1/2 lb burger and it was so juicy and huge! Also tried the jalapeno appetizer and it was different but delicious!

Linda the owner and her entire team were amazing. Great room/ bedding was best and free boat slip with your room!!!Restaurant and bar top notch family friendly. James was awesome..Everything you need is on property..Trailer storage, boat ramp!We will be back Thank you Linda fromZero Beach..Rooms: Clean and great bedding. You don t want to get outta bed..Nearby activities: Great marina, power hook up boat ramp, trailer parking.Natural Springs 10-20 min by boat..

I visited for the first timeIdle Awhile Resort. I spoke to the owner of the resort, and he showed me around rooms, restaurants, outdoor deck, and boat ramps. Very nice clean place with scenic views.Thank you very much for your hospitality.

New owners have really done a nice job of cleaning up the area, the docks and inside. Service was great and quick. Owner personally came over and introduced himself and made sure everything was good, introduced us to our waitress and chatted for a while. Nice personal touch.We did not see the rooms so no comment on that but the owner did tell us they are top hotel quality and spotless.

My wife and I went there for a Sunday afternoon dinner. I had some of the best brisket that I have ever eaten. She had a fish dinner and was very complimentary about it as well. It seems like each table had more than one server. As different girls came out and asked if everything was okay? can I get you anything else? They even have food runners to bring it out as it was put on the line. All the food was fresh and hot. A Very well run establishment. Nestled right on the St Johns River beside lake George. Everything was awesome! We will be back

My overall experience was OK on the outside they could ve cleaned up the dead bugs that were by some of the seating on the ledges of the windows however, the food was pretty accurate and very moderate. I would definitely go there again, but don t order the lasagna. It s very bland and no flavor. However, my experience wasn t too bad. Some of the waitresses were kind of rude but the owner was very nice and our waitress was very nice that we had but if you choose to sit out side, make sure you click sit next to, the water not by the windows.
