Great place to sell old cars that still run or don t run but they need to bring Mike back he was a great guy and he did well in the office helping with everything I m still looking for Mike idk where he is but for real they have great folks who work there and they take good care of u just respect them and you will get respect back.and if u ain't gonna be there 30 mins before closing time no use of even trying to get there. I cannot recommend this business. I worked at this branch... it is unsafe and the yard manager is coked out of his mind while operating a loader. I'm suprised no one has died at this location. It's only a matter of time. Upper level management does not give a sh--. As long as the numbers are being met and the people at the top are fat and happy it will continue. In the short time I was there I saw numerous OSHA and EPA violations. Again, no one in management cared. Yard workers are treated like second class citizens, not allowed to use toilets or sinks because the workers were dirty... maybe because they work for a living? At one time, LKQ was there to serve our community, not rip them off and abuse workers.60$ for a used battery? Go to Rural king get a new one for ten dollars less.Go away PYP/LKQ! Gainesville doesn't like you.Yes, they will intentionally overcharge you to stack thier sales numbers... and laugh about you when you leave.

I have to agree with all the new reviews on here , this place is going down hill , the prices are messed up and beware when checking out the lady will charge you for different parts then what you have. I was trying to buy a piece of shift linkage and she was trying to charge me for a steering column very unprofessional. Lost me as a customer. It s better to just drive up to Jacksonville to Ace pick a part.

Signed up for the app to receive alert for when car posted on the yard >>> Found the part I was looking for >>> Could not remove it myself so I paid for their "Pull Service" >>> 4 days later, still waiting to hear back >>> show up to get status, and it turns out they sold my part right from underneath me.They did not pull the part out of time and they let someone else buy it though it was paid for. They're "Pull Service" system is completely flawed. I know they verify what parts come out of what car upon check out, so they should've known that that part was paid for if someone else tried to check out with it.The manager and the regional manager were onsite and couldn't even offer a simple apology. There's no way to call the location directly which makes it impossible to communicate if you're from out of town.I would not recommend their Pull Service nor recommend that these two (manager and regional manager) would do the right thing either.

Update: I emailed the address provided in the review response and it's just more dishonesty. No attempt was made to refund me the lot fee, or for my time wasted. No attempt was made to correct the website prices, or force the location to honor published prices. It shouldn't be too surprising because most of the times a business has wronged someone they provide these emails or DM's as a way to save face for their bad behavior.Sensor and pigtails are listed at $18 and $7 on their website, but after you waste $3 just to get into the yard and then go to checkout, the pigtails are $20 and the sensors are $45. This is not only dishonest, it also makes the junkyard price higher than buying new.

I started going here when I was 18. This used to be a place where you could save money by putting in some work for a used part. Returns used to be free, prices used to be fair and they USED TO TELL YOU IF AN ENGINE CAME IN RUNNING OR NOT!the yard used to be organized imports on one side, domestic on the other. You used to be able to check prices online, or even call the office. In the present day, theyve introduced "dynamic pricing" so you cant trust the prices on the website, and you cant call the office either to ask for a price. If you want an engine i believe it used to be 250 plus core plus tax and u pull it yourself. Now if i want an engine for my avenger, its going to cost me $800, without a warranty, and they wont tell me if the engine was running when it came to the yard "just grab it from a crashed car" they said. No im not going to risk all that time and 800 bucks just to find out after installing it in my car that my car still won't run and im $800 poorer.Management has ruined the purpose that this business existed for. Most parts in the yard are LITERALLY more expensive than brand new parts on Amazon.I pulled a radiator for my RSX only to realize afterwards that it was 10 bucks cheaper new on amazon. I left it at the front and ordered it online. Why get dirty, sweaty, waste time just to pay overpay for inferior products. The only realistic reason to come here anymore is for parts you cant find online.Corporate has given the middle finger to this company's customer demographic.

I'm giving 5 stars because of Miss Felicia at the checkout counter in Gainesville, FL. I may not always see eye2eye w/LKQ, but I will always come back here for her integrity and kindness. Even if the person in front of you was rude, she will still greet you and take care of you like person in front never happened. Thank you and God bless you

I ve given them a LOT of business over the last few years and they have steadily slid downhill. Most recently the new dynamic parts pricing is ridiculous. For example, a 15 year old Xenon headlight that needs refinishing that was about $50 is now $220!! and more if you want a warranty. The website is also super-slow to update new inventory compared to other yards. I will say the employees are generally nice & try to be helpful but the management is clearly the problem. I m done with them and bet a lot of other people are too!

Came 10 minutes before closing. Drove an hour. They said they closed 15 minutes before what their sign says. I just needed something quick. Rude and unprofessional. Won t be back. Looks like they have plenty of angry people already in the reviews.

LKQ Pick Your Part locations are super helpful and a great place to get used parts. This location has a pretty good selection of used vehicles from many manufacturers. Imports, Euros, and domestics, some older but not usually more than 20 years old.

#LKQIt's imperative that we demand transparency when it comes to parts that can be checked with a battery, including fuel pumps, window regulators, starters, and so on. It's unacceptable that many shops sell these batteries, but refuse to let you test the product before buying it. They pressure you into purchasing the warranty and taking the product home, only to realize that it doesn't work, causing you to waste time and effort returning it. We must demand better service and accountability from these shops.

The price hikes are out of touch with reality. I used to buy $1000+ per month from the llq's all over Florida. You bet I'm going elsewhere when lkq costs double + extra fees on top. No way. You guys are going to put yourselves out of business

Easy to get a quote to buy my car. Car was 30 years old; still running and in good shape. Just couldn't justify the cost of the repair needed compared to value. They gave me a good price for the car. But they were supposed to pick it up between 9 & 10:30am but didnt pick it up til after 2 pm. I found that kinda hypocritical since they threatened to have my car towed outside the yard if I didn't pick my check up in time....tho they already had a signed title. Sooo.....moral of the story----they will give you good money for your car but customer service is about 50/50 on polite/ jerkish.

Pretty good selection and fairly organized, but very very expensive. Only yard I've been to in the country that charges for every little switch, ashtray, button, etc in a bezel. Unless you absolutely need it, I wouldn't boty. I know I won't go back.

Easy to find a vehicle if they have it, and they tell you if they have it. Sign up on their website to do it yourself

Get ready to pay almost internet prices for used parts you'll have to remove yourself. New employees they have working there will over charge you unnecessarily for every single part. Your better off comparing prices online first and you will probably save yourself some money, time, energy, sweat, and fuel.

It's very hot out there.... They should have some tools to help the people that don't have any. It was so extremely hot so I went to get a soda out of their soda machine which wouldn't take change or cash... Then had me swipe my card 3 times and took all of it. But they had an extremely attentive employee who used her card and bought me a soda and their customer service was great. I'll be a returning customer

Good staff very helpful. I came for specific parts and couldn't find a good one in the yard one of the staff said he would check the cars that they haven't moved to the yard yet and if he finds it he would pull it for me.

I junked my dads car through them. They offered me the most money out of all of the car buying places in Gainesville. Pretty easy and stress free transaction. I would recommend for sure.

They force you to buy extended warrantee on their parts, even on such items as plastic bumpers and plastic grills. Add to this the Entrance Fee and several other charges and the total price is more than you can buy many of the items brand new on line. Not to mention the gas to drive there and the time and trouble of locating what you need and the hassle to pull it off! Not worth the bother!

Motorhead playground. Cars are neatly arranged by model and type. Reasonably priced parts. Always an entertaining adventure even if you don't find what you end. Website is well done and very helpful. Mosquitoes in the summer.

Very Nice Place. If you have the right tools, and the right experience on removing the item, it will be a piece of cake. All of there items are tested, and all the items i bought from them worked and lasted. Would highly recommend this place if you have a fixer-upper car and need some parts. All of them are extremely cheap. And many of my toasted cars they bought off me at an amazing price.

Good selection, raised their entrance fee to $3 and added a "worry free warranty" which is automatically added to all parts unless you decline, then you get no warranty or returns.
