Mr. Phu has the BEST mechanic shop in Gainesville Florida. Everyone there is knowledgeable, courteous, and very kind. Thank you so much for helping me with my 15 year old Mini Cooper.

Mr. Phat fit us in last minute, late on a Fri. He was beyond professional and, besides taking care of our tires, shared some amazing stories and words of wisdom with me and my teenage son.

I made a appointment here recommended by my brother. I took my Sequoia there about last Wednesday. I spoke to the lady and explained the issue about the fuel pump. Took a few days to have my car fixed. But I am so glad that they fix main issue I had with it because the other mechanic shop I went never solved it. Also, the others issues they found. She is friendly and called me about the update. Even though it cost me at least a lot, I am very content with it. This is the place I will go to whenever I have any issues with my vehicle in the future

I had traveled more than 1200 miles. I stopped to fill up with gas. The truck did not respond when I was ready to go. The owner assisted me by repairing the truck and offering me his personal truck to get something to eat while the repair was being completed. All of the personnel were friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this business.

I had my mercedes towed there. They started on my car right away which I was very grateful for. They had it ready in 2 days. I was told that they checked my car out from top to bottom and still couldn't figure out why it was running hot. So I picked my car up and paid $576.00 for the service. I left the shop in my car. I wasn't 5 minutes away from the shop when I noticed my car was running hard and running hot so I had to pull off the interstate and get the car towed right back to them. Once again they checked my car out, diagnosed the problem but wanted to change out unnecessary parts that wasn't the problem and it was going to cost over $2,000.00. When I said no if it's not broken don't fix it, only change out the parts that is causing the problem, the Mechanic told me I could let them do it their way or take my car somewhere else, so I took my car somewhere else. My car is running like new and I only paid $770.00. I will NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO NO ONEService: General repairs & maintenance

Everyone in my family brings their cars here, and we've all been doing so for years. They are awesome: trustworthy, fast, open extended hours, and they always call with quotes that are reasonably priced. Several times they have told me that I did not need to have work done that I thought that I did (which shows that they are trustworthy and not just trying to make a quick buck). When my last car reached it's end of life, Phat told me to sell it rather than fix it. I totally trust these folks and recommend them highly.Plus, just have to say, Phat seems like a good guy both personally and professionally. I can't imagine him acting poorly like a reviewer said in an old review. I've been using this place for over 10 years and have never seen him lose his cool. He's a good guy, and so are the rest of the people there. It's always a pleasant experience.

Very knowledgeable mechanic with great attention to detail! If you want to take care of your car and have it last a long time this is the place to go. They are extremely thorough and recommend the right things to keep your car up and running. In addition to knowing what they are doing the customer service is absolutely excellent!

Newberry Imports has cared for my 2013 Subaru Forrester for over a year. They have done a great job maintaining her. The mechanic is honest, conscientious, and experienced. I highly recommend their services.

While traveling through the Gainsville area, I had an unexpected need for tire service. I had stopped at another auto service provider first, and they recommended Newberry Road Imports for my needs.The staff at Newberry was friendly, professional, quick to provide my service, and at a very fair rate.I highly recommend Newberry Road Imports.

Used to be a great shop! This was my go-to place for any and all repairs on my cars...But recently, I took my car there to get it looked at (literally). I had a loose piece that rattled and just wanted them to take 15 seconds to give it a once-over... they told me it would be $40 to just look at it. As in, it was literally going to cost me $40 to have their eyeballs move 3 feet from my face down to my car.I drove to Autozone, they came out and took a look, got me a new part for like $8 and replaced it for me free of charge.My dad always told me that if a mechanic starts charging to just look at something, leave immediately. That's the tell-tale sign that they're dishonest and are trying to force their way into your wallet. A good shop with honest workers will help you figure out the problem quickly, then offer advice and their services to help you out. I now firmly believe this, as the interaction I had with the guys at this shop left an awful taste in my mouth.I've since changed shops and I'm much happier. No more of this $40 BS "look-over" charge.Newberry Imports lost my business for life.

Went in for an oil change came out with a cracked windshield. They denied everything but said they would pay half to fix it, if they weren t guilty why would they pay half? Chose this place because it was close to the hotel we were staying in and didn t think it would be possible to screw up an oil change guess I was wrong. Never assume as the saying goes.

My wife and I have used Newberry Road Imports for all of our automotive issues for well over a decade. Phat and his team have always been exemplary. Once, my car had broken down away from his shop and had been towed to another mechanic. The mechanic had diagnosed a "blown head gasket" and recommended replacement of the entire engine which would have cost thousands of dollars at the time. I had it towed to Phat and he was able to use a special chemical to seal the head gasket-literally saving me thousands. That particular repair was done five years ago and we still drive the car daily. We have recommended Newberry Road Imports to dozens of friends and have heard nothing but praise from everyone-even though no one likes to have a car problem. I applaud the business model and am glad that there is a business owner that treats his clients like family.

We have brought our VW here several times. They are always very up-front and communicative, always willing to work with us. I have always felt well-treated and when we had initially price-shopped they are always competitive. I have confidence in this shop and will be bringing my vehicles here for the forseeable future.P.S. - They have a Master VW tech on staff, of which there are very few in the US

So I took my car to these people, and it was for an issue of repetitive jerking and miss firing. They told me that it was coils and that they could fix it. They charged me about $600.00 Within less than a month, the same problem occurred again. They charged me again, another $300-$400.00 to do the SAME problem again. To make matters much worse, it happened ONCE AGAIN! I refused to go back to them and got a second opinion and found out that they over charged me, and did not fix the problem. Will never return to this place.

Hard to judge based on one visit. Tried to get me service things that I had already serviced recently, but were straightforward and did not pressure me to get more work done than I wanted. Fair pricing.

BEWARE! BEWARE! I didn't believe the "poor to fair" reviews at first because they are years ago, but all those reviews are telling the truth! I was charged for the estimate as the reviews mentioned, and when disputed the guy did yell at me! I felt deeply insulted by his rude words. Worst service ever!

Great place to go. Went in for rebuild my Trd supercharger, Phat did a great job rebuilding it with only 2 days, Great service and Phat is an very honest, experienced mechanic !

Way over priced, needed a job done and he told me 350 dollars and I knew that was way over price went to another shop and they only charged me 60 bucks. Don t let this place fool you out your money
