The mechanics on customer intake are always courteous. The work is timely and there's always capacity on walk in to get the work done that day. The facility is clean, the check out was efficient. I purchased my tires with Firestone and am doing the rotations. We live between here and Chesapeake, VA, and both locations afford us a good return on our purchase and both sites are very professional. I will be having Firestone perform my radiator flush next time I rotate my tires because the prices are far better than the dealer, the turn around time on work is far more reasonable,....days with the dealer even on scheduled turn over to the dealer for maintenance that was scheduled.

Bought four new tires, oil change, window repair and other things done to our Durango. No issues at all. Great prices, great service, professional shop. Highly recommend.I see some negative reviews and I have to believe those are isolated and something else going on.Heard a lot of great things about this location and customer service being one of the outstanding details given.James runs a good store. The tech was Brad I believe, and he did a great job! Thanks guys for keeping us safely on the road and not breaking the bank!

We showed up with an enterprise rental car with a slow leak. Gregory got us in and out super fast. Very professional and great customer service! We can now finish the drive to Disney knowing we are safe.

Would not recommend this location. I dropped off my jeep for an alignment at 8am for an 11am appointment. I called to check in at 1pm, and I was told my jeep was up next. I showed up at 4pm and my jeep still hadn t been touched. I sat waiting for two hours until 6pm, just for them to inform me that they will not align my jeep. They stated that the threads on the tie rod adjustment collar were damaged, and they were not going to be able to adjust it. This didn t make sense to me because the only shop that has ever set my alignment was at another Firestone in North Carolina - so either they damaged it there and didn t mention it, or the Gainesville store damaged it.I asked to be shown the damage, and the tech showed me the 3ft pipe wrench and the 3ft breaker bar that I believe did the damage. I expressed my concern with this and they continued to tell me they could not help me.This was a total of 10 hours of my jeep being at the shop without being serviced. I did not enjoy my experience at this location and will not be going back.

First of all - the actual technicians did a great job. The problem is the older man in the front with the deep voice. I made an appointment for an oil change, I was told 1.5 hours when I arrived. Great. I canceled having a dye put in to diagnose an oil leak and then changed my mind again just a few minutes later. For that, this older man yelled at me for wanting to change my order as if I'm asking him to establish peace in the middle east. Fine, my mistake for changing my mind. I took the criticism. Then 3.5 hours pass (yes 2 hours more). I ask about my car - low and behold it is ready and he claims it "just" became ready seconds ago. I kid you not - he claims that the delay of 2 extra hours is because I changed my mind about the dye. I literally saw him go back and tell them to do it and it took less than 5 minutes - not 2 extra hours. He gets angrier and asks me if I have "a problem with how he does business". At that point I just just thank him and take my keys because it's just not worth it. Also, I paid almost $200 to be insulted and have my time wasted and be gaslighted and yelled at (albeit it was full synthetic oil and a dye for oil leak). Horrible. I'm from Miami and thought smaller towns were more polite. It was so ridiculously aggressive I almost wonder if he has a racial problem with me (I'm brown-skinned but he may have incorrectly thought I was muslim). I explicitly apologized for changing my mind about the dye (only minutes later - before anyone started work - but the gentleman had to be inconvenienced to change the order form) and still got yelled at. Is this normal? Is 3.5 hours for a 1.5 hour job normal? Is the extra 2 hours to change a form (before work starts) from no diagnostic dye to diagnostic dye normal? Is belittling your customers normal? I'm a fellow human being and a paying customer who has their own places to be. I can't stress how unbelievably rude this guy was. Apparently my pre-emptive apology for changing my order in the first few minutes wasn't enough and it became a 3.5 hr ordeal. My car is fine but I'm still angry about how I was treated - even though I was the one apologizing.

I am a student at UF. I had a terrible experience with this particular Firestone auto shop. I cannot trust their service with good faith. I am not sure other firestone shop provides the same service or not. My car had no problem and i just went there to have a routine inspection for my Hyundai Elantra. After a thorough inspection, the shop manager gave me a long list of estimate. Then i decided to go only standard oil change. It took a long time for them to make the oil change. Then i checked my car and found my check engine light is turned on. My headlight signal doesn't appear in my dashboard. I asked the manager why my check engine is turned on and other problems. Surprisingly, the manager and the mechanic had no clue what is going on. But i went there without any problem. Then the mechanic indirectly acknowledged the fact it might have some problem with engine hose. I found out they blew my engine hose and made some problem with my headlight signal. I asked the manager to fix it. Suddenly the behavior of the manager changed and it seems he doesn't want to talk to me at all. The mechanic asked the manger to give me an estimate for the hose. I told them that i was not responsible for their mistake. They totally didn't take any responsibility. The behavior of the manager was terrible and not helpful at all to fix the things that they have done. The manager and mechanic both acknowledged that the check engine light was not turned on when i came with my car. It seems they have created the problem and asked me to pay for the problem by giving me an another estimate for the hose that they blew off. I had to leave the shop with huge disappointment and guilt in my mind that i chose Firestone over other auto service provider. May be not all the firestone shops are same. But as a student, i just went there to have a routine inspection and oil change, and returned back with additional problem. I will ask people to think twice before choose this specific ship.

Such a positive and helpful experience. Jerry worked with me to come to a mutually agreeable service and price point, but made sure to prioritize my safety and vehicle longevity all the way. I ll definitely be returning.

Camping nearby and had a front wheel rattle problem. Brought the car in and in no time it was finished for only $10.00. Turns out a stone got lodged between front brake caliper and cover. Did not have an appointment. Great service and staff. Very polite and efficient service. I highly recommend, especially when you are from out of town and don't know where to go. Thanks, Firestone of Gainesville.

I haven't used their services since my moving here in 2008. My car I bought 7 years ago needed new tires. The tires that came with the car didn't feel good on the road anymore. After much research and comparison shopping I went with Firestone. I felt good about my decision as they are an established company. The customer service was great. I was kept informed and though I had a bit of a wait, they checked in with me through my time there.I would recommend using their services as I was checking out, I inquired about other services and indeed that had not changed. Usually I go to the dealer for my yearly oil change and point checks which they offer there as well.Good service. The staff was great. Good experience. One aside, go when they first open at 7AM. You may beat the rush. It can get busy. But so worth the wait.

I cannot currently recommend their work in good faith. They accidentally damaged a seal in my transmission when they were doing a CV axle replacement, which caused my transmission fluid to leak and ultimately cost me a transmission replacement. I have yet to hear back from their claims department regarding any compensation. They did however do a good job giving me some new tires and alignment. Silver linings.

They were great! We had to get to a funeral and needed four new tires due to an incident on 75. They were open on time at 7:00 a.m. and got us out of there by 9:00. Great workers and men.

I called and was able to get in same day for them to remove a screw from one of my tires. They patched it up nicely and checked out my other tires for me during this time. Great service! Will definitely go back to them for my tire needs in the future.

I was at the Firestone cos one of the tires on my car was damaged. I called for an appointment, and was told I did not need one and just walk in. Upon taking my car, I was told that all the worker were busy and that they cannot take a look at the tire for 2-3 hours. Upon their suggestion l left the damaged tire behind and got a call that the tire was not repairable. I went back the same day and asked to see the tire to understand what the damage was. They looked for the tire and couldn't find it in their premises. Finally, all I got told was that there was damage on the side of the tire. By then I was tired, asked them to put a new tire on and got back. Thinking about the experience later, I felt unsure about how damaged the tire really was. The incident left a bad after taste.I really wish I could trust car repair shops!

Overpriced and horrible communication skills. All I needed was a wheel and a tire, was told it was a 2 day wait, 5 days later after confirming the day prior they still made me waste my time after they realized they had my car this whole time. (They took my keys and placed it in a bag with a sheet on day 1) the shop has to communicate better and keep better track of what cars they have in their lot. I spoke with a manager who attempted to fix the situation (20 min tire job) he apologized and said he applied a discount. Still paid $311 for late easy work.

Got my oil changed here. The tech didn't tighten my drain plug all the way and all the oil drained out of my car. This made a big mess on my lower engine cover. This also resulted in my car engine beginning to misfire. In the end this was more costly than just a new oil change because I had to replace several spark plugs to correct the misfires. Not to mention any possible damage to the engine's internal components.Maintenance is supposed to preserve the life of your vehicle, not put you into a situation where you are compromising the integrity of your vehicle. Especially when you put your vehicle maintenance in the hands of someone else.I would not recommend this place to anybody.UPDATE 8/27/22:I have contacted the corporate email that was provided under my review with the requested information several times. NOBODY even responded back. Do you know what that tells me? They really don't care about quality control let alone customer service. This shop is a joke.

They stated it might take a few hours to do a walk-in alignment, it took only a few minutes, and was covered under warranty. I suggest the lifetime alignment and this location. Thank you so much!

Just passing through town when I realized I had a flat. Stopped at the Firestone store I spoke with the technician there. They repaired my tire and had me out the door in about an hour or so. Cost was just over $20.00. I am thankful they didn't try to rip me off being an out of town traveler.

Usually pretty good service I ve done in the past here, but today before my scheduled appointment I called to get a price quote. Was told around $52, with the specific mention from me it would take 6 quartz of full synthetic Pennzoil Ultra, and I get here and get told it would be $75 with my $15 off coupon After mentioning the phone quote, they reduced that to $69. I could ve, and WOULD have done it myself for anything more than $60.Where I live, there s a Walmart and Advance Auto Parts that accepts used oil without charge within minutes from home so real close and cost effective. Pennzoil Ultra and filter would ve costed me $38 to do it myself, pending tools needed to repeatedly be able to do it. I will not be coming back here for oil changes again. Tires, maybe. Batteries maybe. But never oil changes.Oh, and come on Firestone.. All of your waiting room seats are peeling, and have been peeling every time I come here. When oh when will you take some time to get some new seats for your waiting customers?Update : Black smudge found on leather interior, blood spatter found on ceiling the area, possibly from knuckles or cuts? Manager repeatedly ignored the fact I was quoted for 6 quarts not 5, intentionally and specifically during the phone call to get prior quote before choosing to even go in.Update 2: Reported the problem to Firestone's complaint department. Manager called me crack of dawn the next morning about the complaint. When I called back, he offered a complete refund, and didn't even offer anything but to "inspect" the blood damage, said I could be there around 5pm right after I get off work, and confirmed he would be there, he said he would. Got there at 5:12pm exactly. He already left. Got the refund, but I have to go back yet again for this supposed "inspection".Update 3: Went there again today, without notifying the store manager, saw him, he looked at the damages, claimed it's not blood and it's been there a while, and he ain't paying for it. Looks like this'll go to the legal system after all.Update 4: So I followed up per the complaint with the reply from the "owner", and to-date, nothing has been done, nothing has been corrected. Literally, nothing. I brush my feet of Firestone, and I recommend any and all others, do the same, especially this specific location for sure, if you value your vehicle.

My battery died after 6 years of service. I called the dealership and they had zero appointments available until next week. Called up Firestone and talked with Mike (?) who assured me that he could get me back in service today. After getting a jump, I rolled in and they took care of me quickly and I was back on the road after my lunch break. The waiting area was clean and the chairs were comfortable. The techs were super nice and they even looked up my account number for me since I didn t have my Firestone card on my person.

Been coming here for about 10 years. Never really had a problem before. Today had to get three tires replaced, They told me that they had them in stock. Waited 3 hours for them to tell me they actually didn't have them. All they really said was sorry. Doesn't really do anything for me. Had to take work off early. How about a free oil change? Nah nothing. I get it not your policy or whatever. But I'm never coming back.
