I am pretty new to Gainesville and I was bringing my Jeep Wrangler to the dealership here in town. After a few visits to the Jeep dealer for oil changes, it became clear I couldn't trust them.I had an awful noise coming from the front end and was desperate to find a small mom and pop style place I could trust. I stumbled upon Eddie Davis Automotive and called to ask some questions.I had the pleasure to first speak with Vicky, Eddie's wife. She was warm, personable and I could tell she wanted to help me. The work was completed at a good rate and I did not feel taken advantage of. My Jeep drove perfectly after the work was done.A month later my clutch went out and I did not think twice about having it towed to Eddie's.The work they do is solid. I highly recommend these guys to anyone in need of a trustworthy mechanic in Gainesville.

Eddie and his team are one of the most honest and "can do" mechanics I have ever dealt with. I brought a '73 FJ40 that needed a huge amount of repairs and custom work (including installing a custom gas tank) and they were more than willing to tackle it, although every other mechanic I called was unwilling to even deal with it. I highly recommend Eddie and his team!

Worst shop in Gainesville hands down. The office people are absolutely rude and the mechanic Eddie is a complete scam. I brought my Tow truck to Eddies 5 months ago to have my glow plugs replaced and a rear hydraulic leak fixed and after waiting Patiently for five months I was given my vehicle back with zero repairs. The answer I was given was we just don t have enough time to fix your truck. So that means that he is still working on vehicles that he s had longer than five months because he cannot get to my vehicle because of all the work he still working on it for five months he is still not caught up. Do not come to Eddie s unless you want to lose your vehicle for at least a year and may not get the repairs that you came for. My business vehicle was down almost a year because of Eddie. Do not come here, they are not going to fix anything.

Eddie is an honest car repair service. I never worry about being taken because I am a woman. Had a whining noise coming from the rear differential on my 2007 Silverado Z71 with 83,000 miles on it. Eddie Davis and his team diagnosed the issue and made the repair at a reasonable price! Super friendly folks and outstanding mechanics! They are now my goto shop for all of my truck related repairs!
