I came to City Auto Repair for routine maintenance and had a fantastic experience. They were able to help me within a week of contacting them, and I was able to drop-off and retrieve my car in the same day. Rob was very friendly, over the phone and in-person, and provided a fair quote for the work my car needed. The lobby was inviting and all of the staff I met were incredibly personable, easy to work with, and were able to explain what was happening in easy-to-understand language. I will definitely come back for future maintenance and I highly recommend them if you are looking for incredible service and high-quality work. Thank you City Auto Repair!

We were treated fantastic. Rob, whom I dealt with was the most understanding service rep I ever came across. My son was in a difficult position with car issues. Rob squeezed him the next day even though they were booked a week ahead. Couldn t believe how accommodating they were! The work was done for over $500 less than Midas quoted me. I ll never take any of our vehicles anywhere else.Can t thank them all enough!!

First time to City Auto with this vehicle. I was able to get my car in same day for an overall safely check and diagnosing an issue. The staff there are really nice and explained everything in detail. The issue was diagnosed and I was told no repair was needed and I was not charged for anything but the overall safety check! My experience was very positive as I found them to be honest, as they don t inflate the bill with repairs that aren t needed.

Fair prices and the mechanics do good work!!I had a oil pan gasket and a (in tank) fuel pump replaced on a full size truck. Not an easy task on my model without a lift. They are reliable and call you every step of the way. Getting a diagnostic done is the best way to triage what needs to done first. I have been to A LOT of vehicle repair facilities and this place is the best I have found so far!!

This place is great; not only is it local/ woman owned, the people who work there are super friendly and communicative throughout every step of the process. I took my car there to get a second opinion about a rattling noise; the previous shop it took it to told me they would have to take the entire engine apart to find out what it was, and that the labor would be so expensive that I would just need to get a new car. Turns out there were some loose bolts from a repair done by the previous owner. They fixed it in a couple hours for an incredibly fair price. I ll definitely be coming back here for future repairs (:

Took my car here and had good, quick service. Ended up not being as expensive as I was expecting and the front desk guy (Rob?) was friendly. I liked the online quote experience. Overall, no complaints. I d go back.

I took my auto to City Auto after having gotten an estimate from another auto repair shop. I had been to City Auto Repair one time in the past and was pleased with their service, repair, and prices. After taking my car to them the second time, after getting a prior estimate somewhere else, they fixed my car within a day and saved me half the price from the other place. City Auto Repair is honest and really know what they're doing. I won't go anywhere else from here on out for my auto needs.

City Auto has always been good to me so far. They provide quick service, good communication, and explain car issues to me so that I understand what s going on and how to prevent issues in the future. I never get the impression that they are trying to upsell me or just suggest things to make a buck. Overall, good service!

We called City Auto Repair on a Friday as the starter in our truck was having issues. We had a funeral to get to on the following Tuesday. They said they might be able to take a look in the afternoon and repair on Monday which was fine by us. Dropped it off at 10 am got a call before noon that is was the starter and they ordered the part. By 2 pm, got a call that the truck was fixed. Outstanding customer service and compassion for our situation - thank you so much!! Don t even hesitate to bring your vehicle to this repair shop

I enjoyed getting my work done here at City Auto. Front desk staff were very knowledgeable and kind. I love that the shop was decorated really well. They called me gave my my option and the estimate on the work and I am a happy customer. I can recommend this business to my friends and family.

I am extremely happy with the help and service on my van. Rob was amazing with helping my wife when the van broke down and we called AAA to have it towed to them. Thank you to the Uber driver that recommended them to my wife. We do not live in the area and everyone was extremely helpful.

They were very attentive with taking care of my car. They were able to replace a hose that connected to my fuel tank. Instead of telling me I should replace the entire fuel tank . Instead they were able to make a replace the hose and save hundreds of dollars.

David and his team are the most consistent I have ever had to lift my hood on my car great communication and analysis..I entered not even knowing the problem and got parts ordered..service completed while watching a single movie on my phone !!!! Highly recommended to anyone in central Florida!!!

I have used City Auto ever since I moved to Gainesville (upon several recommendations). As a single female, I very much appreciate that the shop is owned and operated by Rachel, who took over the business from her dad. City Auto has always been quick and reliable, and they always explain the costs and options to me before accepting my vehicle for a service. Teresa at the counter is super polite and friendly, and will actually talk to you. Rachel always follows up my visits with a text to make sure all is ok! The waiting room and lobby don t feel like a mechanic shop at all, they are cozy and comfortable. And I love how they decorate for all the holidays . The mechanics have been here a long time, so that kind of loyalty says something to me. I can t recommend them enough.

Nothing but good things to say about the folks at City Auto. I rarely write reviews, but they went above and beyond.I visited 5 dealerships in 3 states trying to resolve a rather serious issue. I was given the same run-around every time, and the responses varied from "We can't help you" to "These repairs will cost a minimum of $3500".Stopped by on a Friday morning, and Teresa at the front desk took plenty of time to listen to me complain. We talked through the problem in detail. In four hours, they had completed the 'impossible' service along with a full inspection. The final bill was nearly a 10th of the price I was expecting.There is no substitute for knowledgeable technicians and a genuinely helpful staff. Give these folks your business; they have certainly earned mine!

Yesterday evening we went to Lipstick & Dipsticks at @city_auto_repair here in #Gainesville with @gawngnv. This is a woman owned auto repair shop here in Gainesville and owner Rachel Wacha and the entire team welcomed us with refreshments and a car care clinic including questions to ask (and what not to say!) when bringing your vehicle for service for safely changing a tire and replacing fluids. Learned a lot and highly recommend!Do give them a follow at: @city_auto_repair

Great customer service and they always maximize repairs while trying to minimize the impact on your wallet. They've saved me $1000's off other shops who gave me inflated quotes. We'll be bringing all of our family auto's here.

Great place. I had been looking for a local company for my auto repair needs ever since Fischer's Auto closed down. This place is very fast, professional, and they aren't pushy about repairs like some other places I'm looking at you, Tires Plus). The front staff (Teresa was her name I think) was great. She was professional and knowledgeable.

If I could give no stars I would, this company basic robs people out if they money. I picked my car up the same way I dropped it off and immediately took it back only for this to try and double charge me plus $300 more then the 1st time for what I took it up there for that was never fixed! Do NOT GO TO THEM!!!!!!!!!! They talk good and make everything sound good,

We switch to City Auto last year and don t regret it. We find consistent service of quality and expertise. They will do the maximum to fix your car and stay after hours to deliver it. We highly recommend their service.

It s rare to enjoy sitting while waiting to have your car serviced, but City Auto is an exception. The waiting area is spacious, clean and comfortable. Everyone is friendly and it s super easy to schedule my appointments.

Horrible - charge me $198 to install 2 tires - told me that due to liability they could not work on my truck charge me $129 for a diagnostic test picked up my truck in the same condition it was towed to them - brakes sounds worse than before! Do not use this shop if you have major repair work needed. I was definitely over charged for tire installation yes $198 to install 2 tires - you read correctly - I would not recommend this shop there the one down the street.

Rachael took the time to walk my daughter through all the details of her engine and show her where all of her dipsticks were and what she should be checking on a regular basis... really had an impact on a first time teen driver. (and this dad)

Wonderful and fast service! Everyone was very knowledgeable and professional. I loved the personal touches in the lobby and waiting area. They made waiting for my car go by quickly. I felt like a very valued customer!
