I would be very careful if you go here. He seems like a nice guy and that is why i trusted him with doing some work. I took my car in and he worked on it to try and fix what we both agreed was the problem. This didn't end up being the problem so i payed a lesser fee and took the car back. (This was after he had my car for a full month!!) This wasn't really what bothers me though.When I got the car back coincidentally the gas cap light was on, I have never seen it before. Also overdrive button was missing. I took it back thinking they would fix the problems they caused. He comes back without telling me anything and says he fixed the gas cap problem with a new Evap Valve and came back with an outrageous repair price (I never acknowledge work to be done at all). We eventually settled on a lower price which I felt was reasonable, but I still didn't understand how that just started showing up after the repair and he never gave me the old part that he promised he would. He said he found the button and will glue it back on.I come in 3 days later.. I never got a call that they were done gluing the overdrive button on. The button is glued on but its completely nonfunctional!!!!!, and he broke the top off of my shift lever and didn't fix it!!!They seem like nice people and I have had work done in the past and have been fairly satisfied but this last visit was awful......I was recently cleaning out my car and it looks like a dog was in the back. Dog hair everywhere and dog slobber on the windows. Someone was using my car to transport there dog while it was in service for more than a month. Very disappointed.Service: Transmission

Can t speak highly enough of this shop. We were towing our camper with our 3 month old baby girl and our dog for our 3 week summer trip. As we leave, notice the transmission fluid temp was running hot. Even though he was short-staffed, Chuck was able to help my husband out to troubleshoot and install a transmission cooler. Solved the problem and we were able to continue on our trip without much delay. Appreciate his help and kindness!

Came in to get a clutch replacement for my 2011 Chevy Cruze, and I have to say that the service provided not only fixed the issue but went beyond and identified another component that needed attention, the flywheel needed to be replaced. The service provided got rid of the unknown rough idle that was plaguing my car for months and that no other mechanic was able to identify. This business is 100% transparent with its prices and the owner certainly knows what he is doing, a really difficult find these days.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Chuck called back, asked the right questions, transmission part not available anywhere, both checked on status and when he got the call it arrived weeks later,he got me in and got it done....sorry this is a late review but thanks Chock.

This was my first transmission rebuild I've ever had to deal with. I started by doing a lot of research online and after calling around for quotes and reading lots of reviews online, I chose Bush Gator. I worked very closely with Liza Bush from the first quote on the phone to the very end of the process. She is a true professional and has a great attitude. Liza was able to work with me to get a price we were both comfortable with and a fantastic warranty.I worked with Troy who did the repair and was able to take the car for a test drive before any work was done to confirm my suspicions of a failing transmission on my Acura. Troy was able to explain to me the expected job very professionally. The repair was done in exactly the amount of time they expected. Upon my arrival to pick up the vehicle, I was able to take my car for a test drive before having to pay, which was very kind of them. They have a nice service where they ask you to bring the car back by a few weeks later so they can do a free checkup and make sure everything looks good.All this, while they had only just moved into their new location on 53rd street days before. I believe I was their first customer at the new location.I would highly recommend Gator Bush to friends and family and would take my business back there in a heartbeat.

Every mechanic wants your business, but it was especially telling of Chuck s character that his honest opinion was that he couldn t see anything wrong with our campervan, despite going for a ride along with us, and attempting to recreate the mystery symptoms. He was genuine and professional and gave us some educated guesses but didn t push us into unnecessarily throwing parts and money at it. I was very grateful that he took time out of his busy Friday to help us, even though we had no appointment. His character is respectful and helpful in nature. Great vibes throughout the entire experience.

Changed my oil for the exact price of products with only $12 commission fee also checked my flat repair kit and filled my tires with air for free

Terrible terrible job almost $6,000 for a transmission replacement. We found out that they don't even rebuild the transmissions there he buys them rebuilt from another company and just swaps it Then,10 months and 4,000 miles later the transmission starts slipping in and out of gear. We had to take it to somewhere else to get a second opinion because Mr Bush couldn't tell anything was wrong with it so he said. Then Chuck bush's solution was to put a container of stop slip in it..So we took our other vehicle to a guy named Joe Kirby who rebuilt it himself at his shop, for around $2,000 and it lasted over 2 years and 40,000 miles before there was ever a slight problem with it

Another great job, I've definitely found my mechanic in Gainesville. Been twice now and each time I've left feeling like I was treated honestly while receiving a great price for the work.My first trip I was expecting a $2800 repair as quoted by the dealer. Turned out after they did some poking around a simple $200 fix was all I needed. Would definitely recommend checking them out.

Had a whole engine replaced. (Not talked into it, car 25 y/o, 270K original miles on engine, but otherwise all in beautiful condition.) One year & several thousand miles later, still runs like new & N E V E R had to go back for any problem since. Fixed perfectly 1st time. Many other mechanics changing a single part, I found myself going back 2nd time next day or shortly after to refix same problem. He did head gaskets on wife s car long ago & never a problem. This is my car guy.

Last year, I hit a deer ...did $6k damage to the front end. While my car was at the body shop, I looked around town and found Bush Gator had the best price on a rental car. So I rented it for a week. This year I needed major air conditioner repair.Got my a-c repaired at a great price with fast service and a loaner car. A few days later, I had my 90K mile check up and got the loaner car again. I was impressed.Bush Gator Transmission & Auto Repair is my auto service and car rental company of choice!

GREAT....GREAT.....GREAT By far the best auto repair shop in Gainesville, FL. I took my Chevy Astro there for a fuel pump failure and they took care of it. It took them about a week because i didn't schedule an appointment which was no problem. They called frequently and let me know what the status was. Outstanding Technicians. I will recommend and take any of my vehicles there anytime and everytime.

Super friendly, honest service. I took my car in and asked them to take a look at my squealing brakes -- fully expecting that i would need new pads or rotors or something. He called a bit later to let me know my brakes were fine, didn't need to be repaired, and that the squealing was dust or something. Just charged me $25 for taking a look. Thanks!

They have been caring for my Honda for two years, ever since I first moved here. Recently I had an idle stutter and took it to the dealership to see if it would be covered by my warranty. The dealership claimed they couldn't diagnose the issue and that it wasn't doing What I had said. Bobby from chuck bush figured it out in a matter of two hours and fixed it for me through my extended warranty for a very reasonable price in less than a day. They are friendly and got the job done and they don't beat around the bush.

We rented a camper Rv America. Chuck was very professional and handle our needs in renting the camper. He made my son so happy by giving him a toy car which my son collects toy cars. Thanks Chuck for making our camping experience happy.

I have taken my car here for a number of years and the service is always very good. The people are nice to work with and the work done is top notch. I will return every time I need help with a problem or just maintenance. I trust these folks to tell me honestly what needs to be done and then to do it correctly. I recommend them to all my friends and family.

I went there for a hitch instillation and wiring. My Jeep is new and they hadn t had export ce with the wiring instillation, but they were able to figure it out and have my vehicle back very quickly! It was much more affordable than what my dealership quoted, literally a $650 difference.

I've got two older cars that tend to need some work from time to time. I've recently had both worked on at Chuck's, and I'm never taking them anywhere else again. He's honest, friendly, and a more than fair priced mechanic in an industry where that's hard to find.

I bought an oil change card from a gentleman at my door very polite a little pushy but a great deal. after using the voucher card I did have to pay a couple dollars for the filter but the service was very fast and the gentleman at the front desk was really helpful. Thanks Bush Auto

Worst place ever to do business!!!!! I took my car there I needed ignition coils first off I'm a woman so I know how mechanics try to take advantage of women so before I took my car there I took it to ford before that I saw a lil tree mechanic but since died was gonna charge a large amount I wanted to take it to an auto shop chuck diagnosed my car he said I needed my ignition coils replaced and wanted to charge me 900 I told him let me see I called back an said I was gonna come get my car he stated well you don't wanna drive the car that way I tell you what I'll replace one an have it riding like a champ I said how much would that cost me he said around 450 I said um he said it would take 3 hours it took him all day an then half of the next day to do ignition coils that left time for them to do something to my car anyways when I pick my car up my bf actually picked it up it still had the check engine light on so the guy went under the hood did something an it cut off by the time I drive it I get to work that night I've only had the truck for 4 weeks I work out of town all of a sudden I got a transmission leak my car is new the dealership replaced everything on my car an if there was a leak the other guys I took my car to would have said something these people did something to my transmission to try an get more money out of me and sat there and told a bold face lie like I brought my car there with a leak but I am sueing them to get my money back I had to go an get a lawyer it's mechanics like these people maje you wanna never deal with an auto shop but I should have known when a friend of mine told me don't take your car there I heard they are crooks but a hard head makes a soft azz but I learned... Wouldn't trust. Scam ! purchased a year oil change , paid $80, was told Syntactic oil would cost me only $15 addition... 1st time at the place, was denied the sales rep words !!! would not stand by his word ! left the place , would not recommend anyone doing business with such !!

I had a gentleman come by my house and sell me a marketing piece from Bush Gator for $69.95. I was supposed to get a free oil change and 3 oil changes for $9.99 per. First was free, second cost me $11.79, third cost me $15.47, and fourth cost me $15.42. I have clearly read and understand the terms on what I purchased. My wife was told the extra fee is for shop supplies which is not in any fine print or any print period on the marketing piece. This business did not honor their marketing material.

Horrible customer service skills. Seems to believe that he can loose as many customers as need be because he's doing it he's way. All this based on the fact he swept floors growing up. I hope all my personal friends and UF colleagues see this and STAY away. I will follow up with emails to the entire UF community.There are other excellent repair shops in Gainesville that would love to have the opportunity to gain your long term business and loyalty so please check them out.

I highly recommend Chuck Bush Auto Repair. Great job at fixing my vehicle repairs at a reasonable price. It's the best auto center in the Gainesville Area.

This place is the BEST not to mention all the people are GREAT to deal with! They do NOT try to sell you anything that is not necessary, as they want to make sure that you come back over & over. Which is why this family has been in business & serving the Gainesville area for THREE GENERATIONS!! Thanks Chuck, Robert & the rest of the staff!

Didn't actually use their service but I know they have to have good customer service for coming to my aide in the rain. In the thickest rain I've seen in a while they aired up my tire so I could get home.
