Went to Bill's for info on my transmission not functioning as it should. Called in the morning and they fit me in when they were able to. I waited less than an hour for a free diagnosis and estimate of cost of services. The employees were friendly and professional, thank you guys for your time and honest work. Though I haven't had any actual work done here yet, I trust that my car would be in good hands from my experience.

My 2014 Journey just rolled over to 100,000 miles. Now I figured I had some more time left/miles. Well no. Took her to Mr. Bill...rebuilt the Trans, new spark plugs, new filters all. New brakes and calipers. New car you say...did not want the payments. Mr. Bill was very informative and also stated I am to bring her in after 200 miles to make sure everything is working properly. I called incessantly but he was always nice and understanding. They are super busy. Bill's Low-Cost Transmission was recommended by 2 mechanic friends. I will recommend for sure. If you have major problems like me...it will take awhile. So be patient . Thanks Bill

Bill replaced my transmission for less than half what Aamco quoted me, threw in a front axle, let me make payments on it since it was a big job, and even let me take it home so I could drive it for work while I was still paying the work off!!I was so worried with the current market I was completely screwed, with a bill so high. I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am he worked with me so much on this!! I never would have been able to get this done without him being so generous!!Thanks Bill!!! I'm bringing you my cars for life man!

I've taken my 09 GMC Acadia to Bills a few times. My last visit was to rebuild the transmission. I will say it took them a little longer than I expected to get it done. Bills does excellent quality work and that takes time. I didn't mind the wait for that very reason. The Acadia is running top-notch and shifting well.If you have any automotive needs take it Bills! He explains the repair in great detail, gives honest up-front pricing, and most of all they do quality work! Bills is my go-to shop for all of my automotive needs. I highly recommend Bill's low-cost transmissions!

Worse dishonest place ever not a man of his word .was directed to the shop via phone call , yet when I arrived I was met with rude dishonest bill himself . He told me I can walk home that I could not wait and that my truck was now stuck there with an overheating transmition and he "dident care if I pushed it into traffic" I would never send family or friends ,frankly anybody to this place .bewareDishonestLiarNo integrityBad behavior .Not family /child friendly .my wife was actually scared of the place .(Next they will say they have "no records " ) just plain dishonestService: Transmission

My Kia Soul stopped shifting and would stall. We suspected it was transmission and electrical issues. We brought it to this shop and they were insanely busy. Within a few hours we had a response saying it would be $3k and a month to fix because the transmission was shot. This was the only explanation we received. All they did was look at the vehicle. No transmission check at all. We took it to another shop and they charged us $300 for one wire that fixed the problem. This shop cannot take the time to properly diagnose the issue. We were able to get an appointment here quickly and they were quick to respond, but it is because they are not thorough with their work. Definitely will not be bringing my vehicle back here.

I have been using Bills for several years for a couple of different cars (one I'm currently using ) for commercial use. Bills is a shop that I can trust to diagnose and fix my car accurately. He fixes what is wrong with the car and dosent try to replace extra parts in the car like some of them are doing nowadays. (He saves me money)Bills also completes the work in a timely manner, and understands that I need my vehicle back right away to go to work. Thank you bill's!

People if you are looking for that honest repair shop you have always wanted I suggest you give them your business. After the dealership didn't want to warranty the alternator on a brand new car we took it here because we had spoken with George and he thought he might know a better solution. After 2 minutes of looking it over found it was just a loose ground connection and took care of it. He even helped us get the car there by using a jump box to keep the engine charged. It was only 4 miles down the road and only 2 from the dealership which told her she could pay for a tow truck. They didn't try to sell us on stuff we didn't need or lie like the dealership just to exploit a single mother. So I am writing this review so anyone that is looking for trust worthy and quality service can have the same experience we did. Go see George and he will make sure you are taken good care of!

While they did take a little longer than expected to get my truck s transmission done I wouldn t complain with the work. They told me about some other potential issues that could be fixed at home and when I took my truck back today for them to see how it was holding up (they asked me to bring it back for free for them to drive to see how it s doing) it only took about 15 minutes. They were a little slow getting it done, but for starters they seemed a bit understaffed. Price was great and they were always friendly and patient with me and my phone calls.Service: Transmission

Bill Kaleel failed to keep contracts & agreements to repair my car. 2 months later still not fixed, cost me over 2 thousand dollars. Do not go here. The owner will lie to you.

I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere - Bill is either dishonest, or a bad mechanic.I brought him a newly purchased 1996 F-250 with 52,000 miles on it that would stall out in drive. He recommended a complete rebuild of the transmission. Go figure... I had called him once before in 2012, and he recommended the same thing without even needing to have a look at it.I was in a pinch, so unfortunately, I told him to go ahead with the work. He had given me a really bad feeling over the phone, so after a few days without hearing from him, I called him up to cancel the work, and to arrange for the truck to be towed to another shop. Much to my surprise, when I told him to call it off, he had JUST pulled the transmission out.Too late! Go figure...After paying his $500 bill for towing 3 miles, misdiagnosis, and removing my transmission, I had him put the extracted transmission in the truck bed, and I had it towed down the road to another shop. It felt like extortion paying $500 for a truck that was worse off than when I left it with him. Before Bill looked at it, I could have driven it away myself. It's hard to diagnose a problem when the transmission is out of the truck, so the other mechanic had a difficult problem to solve. Nevertheless, after getting everything back together, he was able to determine that the problem had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TRANSMISSION. It was the PCM (engine / transmission computer) that had gone bad, and was causing the transmission to act up. It was a $100 part on eBay Thanks to Bill, I wound up spending about $1,700 on a $300 to $600 job. I think Bill is dishonest, but I can t say for sure. He bragged about his years of experience with transmissions, but I think it s possible he's a bad mechanic. Either way, this is definitely a shop to avoid.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair

I have been going to Bill's for a few years now, after trying numerous shops around town. They do a great job, take good care of their customers, and are reasonably priced. I brought two different cars to them that I was thinking of buying--they inspected both and warned me off from purchasing one of them. I've only had good experiences with these guys. My only complaint is that their timeliness with customer service (returning phone calls, etc.) can sometimes be a little lacking, but I suspect that's because they're always very busy--a good sign that I'm not the only person in town who appreciates them. Thanks, Bill's!

Had a front wheel bearing problem diagnosed another shop. They wanted $512 to fix it. Another shop said they could do it for 350. These guys are fixing me up for 265 and it will be done in about an hour and a half.

Being someone who is bound to a wheelchair, you quickly learn that your vehicle is your main source of independence. My truck started giving me problems staying in gear so I took it over to Bill's shop. George, a mechanic, was quick to help. I got to the shop before they officially opened but George was so nice to open the office doors for my daughter and I to have a place to hangout until Bill got into the shop. Being welcomed was a great feeling. Anyways, they were able to rebuild my transmission for me faster than I thought possible and for a fair price. These guys know their stuff. Thanks!

I took my truck to Bill's Low Cost Transmissions because my transmission wouldn't respond to the throttle. There ended up being a lot of metal flake in the transmission pan, requiring a full rebuild. It was pricey, but on par with what I would have expected from any other shop. The rebuild took two days longer than they initially thought, but I'd rather have it done right than done in a hurry. So far the truck runs great. It has way more throttle response than before and the shifts are much smoother.

Excellent service. Bill is honest and extremely helpful. The work was done well and we are pleased with everything.Update 12/1 - still happy with the repair but had a problem. Jiffy Lube said that there were some hoses which were not in the proper place. Went back to Bill's and asked them to take a look. Bill said it would be an hour before they could look at it. We waited. After an hour I asked how much longer and was told just another 30 minutes. After an additional 30 minutes my keys had not moved off the counter so I said that we were leaving. The person managing said, "Ok", and offered no apology.

Mr Bills has been fixing my cars since 2009. I watched his twin boys grow up. He started with my 1998 dodge neon my 2002 Jeep Liberty and our newest edition 2012 Audi Q5. Mr Bill has always been honest from day one. Now I confess I cheated on bill just trying to support a black owned business. Let s just say I came back home. He has always treated me with respect and works with me when I m about to break down from the bill. He ll tell me let s do this and that and bring it back and we ll do that. Now there has been times that he has told me now Roshonda you can t drive that car like that. Mr Bill is more than my mechanic he s family. If we pull into the drive way with my 9 year old and one of the cars are not here he ll ask, mom does Mr Bill have our car? Listen to me Mr Bill IS NOT A BAD GUY!!!!!!! HE IS ONE OF THE FEW HONEST MECHANICS THAT WE HAVE LEFT!!!!!Services: Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Battery, Oil change

In recent years I have used and recommended Bill's to friends and people in my church community. I am a serious hobby mechanic and I help people with car issues, particularly for my church. Bill is recommended by the best auto shop in town whom I have dealt with for over 38 years. Bill has given good advice, done good work and for a reasonable charge, except in one instance I received feedback that a friend was not pleased. I told him to work it out and they did. Honest transmission shops are a rarity and Bill is the best I know of in this area.

Despite the bad reviews, we've worked with Bill's for several years with several different vehicles. They are helpful and professional. Not perfect, but decent human beings who will get your vehicle fixed, and back on the road for a reasonable price. They fixed everything from my radio that my child stuck pennies into, to replacing Transmissions, to oil changes.

My daughters transmission was out and we couldnt find anyone reputable that had the skills to do the job right.I asked a small crowd of older mechanically inclined men at the local store for someone that could do this 100% right. One older mechanic said if we didnt use Bill,,,it was our fault when it wasnt right.I called Bill and the same day he sent a tow truck and picked it up. Hes been actively working on this the whole week and it's pretty busy around there. Today is the 5th day and it should be ready. If not, Monday. That's pretty amazing. Everyone else was 2 weeks minimum. Also, this transmission had been attempted to be taken out by an idiot claiming to be a mechanic but really was a tree guy, so most parts were in the back seat. It's hard to go behind a dumba$$ on a car. This transmission shop has high standards because they give an excellent warranty that let's you know they fixed it!Pretty happy with the way it went. I'd take my cars there and I'd tell you to do the same. Thanks Bill !

I moved to Gainesvillle on the 1st of August and my car was having trouble changing gears. I brought it to Pete's Auto Shop, but Bill's was a better price. It has been over 3 weeks, they told me my car would be done last Friday. Now, 5 days later and the car still isn't ready! They keep saying the part hasn't came in but it has been over 3 weeks. They have told me to pick it up at noon the last 3 days but keep putting it off. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Bill's low cost transmission fixed my mother's truck over 4 years ago and they did a wonderful job. They are fair and reasonable. I have a Chevy Impala that I am taking to them to work on. If you need transmission work done Bill is your guy, him and his crew.
