Absolutely will recommend them to anyone I can. Dealership told me my brakes were shot and quoted 2-3 thousand. Came here and Miguel took the time to go around my car with me and measure to let me know my brakes still had plenty of life left and weren t in any rush to be replaced. I eventually came back when it was time to replace them and he got them done for a 1/3 of the price and did an amazing job. Will definitely be back!

Mickey is a top BMW mechanic. Honest and prompt with his estimate and will never overcharge you or do unnecessary work. The Yvonne & Mickey team at Best Motor Works is an asset to the Gainesville area. Highly recommend.

I was having trouble this past weekend with my Mini. After having a mobile mechanic diagnosing it and my husband trying to fix it, the engine was still failing. I called Mickey first thing on Monday morning to get a second opinion from an expert. He said he was booked until the 15th but told me that I can drop it off for him to take a look at it and run the codes. That in itself was very generous and kind of him! Upon arrival, he stated that he will look at it and give us a call for a quote so that there would be no financial surprises.Not only did he look at it, but he also informed us that we had the wrong parts installed and replaced them with used parts for a temporary fix so that my car can run again (and so I can get home safely). He was also able to sell us brand new parts the same day so that my husband can fix it for me, saving us some money.Thank you for fitting me in and helping me get my car running again! I know you were busy, but your small act of kindness saved me a lot of headache.

Mickey and Yvonne run a family business servicing MINI Cooper's and BMW's. As soon as one of my MINI's is out of factory warranty, Mickey takes over and keeps them running well. I trust them to only make the repairs I need to keep the cars in good mechanical condition. I have a pair of 2003 MINII Cooper S's that Mickey has serviced for the past 11 years.Due to their reputation, Mickey can get backed up, so please schedule service ahead of time. I had an issue with the valve cover gasket on my 2015 BMW 328i where oil would leak on to the downpipes and create white smoke and a burning oil smell under the hood. I brought my car to this local, family-run repair shop which specializes in BMWs and MINIs and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Mickey is extremely knowledgeable on these cars and engines and was quickly able to diagnose and repair the the faulty valve cover. He explained to me exactly what happened to the part, and why these parts tend to fail over time. They were even able to work with me on time when I asked if the car could be finished sooner. Price of the work was very fair and much lower than any dealership or other European repair shop quote. Overall great service and experience. If I could give 6 stars, I would.Service: Engine repair

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Mickey at Best Motor Works who diagnosed and repaired an issue with our daughter's Mini Cooper today. As she is a student at UF and several hours from home I was concerned her safety in driving with a odd and unusual noise coming from her car. Not only did Mickey find and repair this issue almost immediately he treated her both professionally and financially as if she was a family member. I have been an enthusiastic car fanatic for over 50 years and can say without hesitation that he is easily amongst the best and most honorable mechanics my family has had the good fortune to meet. Mickey and Yvonne are absolutely amazing. They are transparent communicative, and timely. I have a 04' 325ci that runs perfectly thanks to Mickey! I have 100% trust in the quality of the work as well as their feedback/suggestions. I can't speak highly enough of Mickey great service, great price always honest and fair. He has been working on my BMW for about a year performing minor repairs. During my last visit Mickey identified the issue and realized it should be covered by BMW. He sent me pictures of the issue to show BMW and sent me to the dealership which fixed the issue at no charge. He could have easily just repaired the issue and charged me and I would have never knows. If you are looking for an independent shop to work on your BMW I recommend Mickey.

Without a doubt, the MOST AWESOME mechanic I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Best Motor Works have been looking after my Mini Coopers since I arrived in Florida a decade ago. They offer exceptional service, and Mickey always goes above and beyond, making sure that no stone is unturned if there is a mechanical problem to be fixed. He is extremely knowledgeable and I feel 100% confident in any advice he gives me regarding my car, and I ask a lot of questions. His workmanship is unparalleled, to the point where, upon purchasing a brand new Mini Cooper in 2015, I took it to Best Motor Works for service and maintenance rather than the free services I'd get for the first couple of years at the dealership. Their prices are extremely reasonable, and quite honestly, my decision to stay with the Mini Cooper brand has in large part been due to the fact that we know we have an amazing mechanic right here in Gainesville to look after our little cars :)

Mickey is amazing! When we lived in Gainesville I took my BMW to Mickey after it was out of warranty for all my servicing. He is an excellent mechanic and I highly recommend him. Now that we live back down in Tampa it's hard to find a good honest mechanic that doesn't charge inflated rates. Wish there were more shops around like Best Motor Works!

Don't miss out on an honest mechanic! Took my BMW (328i) over to Mickey at BMW&S after a very frustrating and costly experience with oil leaking all over my exhaust manifold and causing smoke under my hood. He fixed my issue with a tiny RUBBER CAP... after I'd already dropped $1300 at a different shop for them to "fix" the issue (do not go to Continental Imports for anything). Mickey's wife handles the front desk and she couldn't be sweeter. All around solid place to get work done on your BMW.

Forget Dealers for your mini or BMW needs this shop is a heaven send.I will never let another mechanic touch my car.Mickey and his wife have always looked out for me.Never over priced .And i always know what the bill is before the work is done. I have been meaning to write a review and I feel bad it's taken me so long. I have been going to Mickey's shop for 5 years and I have NEVER been displeased with the service. Small or big he does a really wonderful job and the most honest mechanic I have met. I was in not to long ago with my Cooper and my car was chugging ect. and he found the problem right away and it was my oil cap wasn't on tight ( my husband checking my oil ) and that was all. I have gone to other shops and I really think they wouldn't have been so honest about the problem. I just got a new car and it's not a BMW but I'm hoping I can still go to him......

I highly recommend Best Motor Works. HONEST, LOYAL, PERSONAL SERVICE!!!!I called best motor works in panic because I had been scammed almost $2,500 from a local auto clinic "TMT auto" and my car still was leaking coolant. Mickey advised me to bring my car in the next day, and he'll look over all the repairs that were made. It is amazing what he noticed. Mickey called me and advised me of everything so that I can dispute the charges with American Express and he provided me documents that supported the claim. He corrected all their mistakes and made additional repairs for less then TMT auto clinic quoted me for ONE repair!!!! I WILL always go back to Mickey for all my auto needs; I currently live an hour away, but Mickey is the only person I'll trust with my BMW. I could not THANK him enough!!! It is so hard to find honest people that proivde quality work, but Best Motor Works is the place to go! A+ LOVE THEM!

I cannot say enough good things about Best Motor Works. I decided to try them after reading the other reviews posted here. And they are all true! As soon as I started taking my car there, I knew that I was getting honest, reliable service from extremely nice, knowledgeable people. That's very rare these days. And their prices are more than reasonable -- I would have paid 3 times as much for my repairs if I had gone through the Land Rover dealer. Highly recommend!!

Took my 2004 330ci to get service due to leaking transmission fluid. Manny definitely got my car running new again and didn't break my pockets! Did i forget to mention that he fixed my temperature sensor for no charge?! I went there to fix my BMW x3. They did a very good work with a good price. The staff there is very nice and friendly. Because I need to leave my car there for a few hours, she drove me to my office. She said she could pick me up if needed. When I picked up my car, she asked me if I know how to get back to my office, and she wrote down the route for me. I think I will definitely go back to them if I need to fix anything of my car in the future!

Went to Best Motor Works because my car ('03 BMW 325i) had started to overheat. I took my car there hoping to get a clear diagnosis and have my issue fixed; I got a call at noon and after giving the green light I had a new thermostat and hose installed by 3pm. The price was fair and the service was polite.

Only place in town that works on Minis. Cheaper than dealer on BMW. Friendly and quality work. However, my recommendation is never own a car from the BMW group. Too much maintance and require "special" computers and tools.

Wow, this place is incredible. I had issues passing threw and called for help. So glad I did, Mickey had me fixed in no time and on the road. I love in Tampa but seriously think if I have any issues and can I will bring my car here. My best mechanic experience ever.....thanks so much guys

Best motor works is simply the best. I have had all my bmw's (528i,540i,550i,e46 m3, e92 m3) worked on there. The Hospitality and work done is second to none. I highly recommend using them for your german maintenance needs.

Yvonne and Mickey are the best, EVER! Gems. Mickey is the master outside and Yvonne is master inside. The two are a gem and masterpiece. Love these guys
