The delightful, friendly and knowledgeable gentleman that helped me this afternoon turned my whole day around in the BEST way possible! I was desperate for 2 stroke engine oil, and pulled in hoping they carried it. I ended up leaving not only with my oil, but with fantastic advice about a car repair my mechanic has been unable to fix, new windshield wipers installed and guaranteed, some helpful tips on reattaching my review mirror after a failed first attempt, and a general feeling of goodness and community. I am so very very VERY pleased I took a gamble and stopped in. I will ABSOLUTELY return any time there is a chance they can help!!!

wow, day before a hurricane my battery died and after installing it they tested my battery and alternator for free. as a female i get overwhelmed making sure i don t get ripped off by car companies and they were so encouraging, informative and helpful. their customer service was amazing and they helped me make sure my car was running well before the hurricane. thank you auto parts!

Superb service that saved me over $450 in scheduled Auto repair next week. Suddenly this afternoon my turn signals no longer worked and stopped at the store for help. One of their technicians,RT Ray, diagnosed a fuse problem which when replaced fixed the turn signals issue. he also replace a missing fuse that fixed c the AC. I had had an air conditioning specialist shop in palatka tell me yesterday that I needed a new blower motor. That repair was more than $450 which is completely unnecessary because it only needed a missing fuse to make the blower run. That charge included $130 for freon which I avoided by purchasing a can of Arctic Air which charged the AC condenserMy total cost was less than $50 saving me a needless outlay of an additional $400. This is crucial for me as a 77 year-old woman who lives alone and has no family or friends and who is totally dependent on my social security. That $400 saving assures me that I will not go hungry before I receive my next social security payment. Things have been very hard to make ends meet and in the last 18 monthsI have gone from 110 lbs to less than 75 lbs. The kindness and competency I was given are literally life-savingI am most grateful and blessed. I do not believe in coincidence but I do believe in divine intervention and the blessings of the Father who helpsHis children through the kindness of strangers through whom He works His daily small miracles of hope that the heart whispers into the darkened silence of each night's despair in my struggle to survive another day.I found Hope and other humans whom I could trust for which I am so very grateful. If a heartfelt "thank you" is the only prayer you ever say before the Father's throne I was taught it was prayer enough. We only find the Kingdom before we approach the Narrow Gate in the kindnesses of others.

Sorry for the late review! Called this location with questions about battery options. They gave me several tips about choosing an appropriate battery type and even encouraged me to check specific info online. Ultimately went with their recommendation, and got a beast of a battery. I do a lot of business with Advanced Auto Parts, but too many times it's not been pleasant due to getting the wrong part or getting frustrated that the person at the counter is not as knowledgeable as I feel they should be, and a few times I've even felt like I was a bother. With five vehicles of my own to do repairs on, getting the right part or information is crucial. I was told by a friend of mine to call your University Avenue store and talk to Mark. I did and have done so since. He's knowledgeable, quick, but doesn't try to rush through a sale, very friendly and seems to really care about getting you exactly what you need, courteous and is VERY mannered. He sees and suggests other things that you might need to go with the job you're doing or that might be necessary. At least once he made a suggestion that kept me from getting part way finished with a repair only to have to delay it because of two seals that had slipped my mind altogether. I live in the Keystone Heights area, but if I need anything I can call him, get the information necessary and then place my order online and pick up here. He does always, of course, offer to complete the sale there, but if I do it online from home then I get the online discount & pick up within minutes. If I'm in your area I go ahead and take care of my business there at the store. Thank you Mark for being my go to at Advanced.

I needed to get a new battery and Mark was so kind during the entire process. He showed me all of the different options for batteries, I chose one, and then he installed it for me. I highly recommend this Advance Auto Parts store if you ever need one. Huge shout out to Mark as well!

This was awhile ago, but I came in looking for a replacement light (I still can't remember the correct name for it ). The staff were very helpful and friendly, getting the right bulb for the light on the side of my car.

Went by to use their obdll scanner because my check engine light was on. The customer service rep hooked it to my vehicle for me and looked up the code and showed me the price on the part it would take and was very helpful and professional. And there was no charge for this service.

We stopped here with an urgent need for a battery for my daughter's car. She needs it for school and I had to leave town the same day. Only one guy was on duty and he was great! Tested our old battery, which was deemed suspect. He installed our new battery in 10 minutes and it was just the thing. Courteous, professional, knowledgeable. I'd go back here any time I had an auto parts need in Gainesville.

Awesome store! Mike, the store manager, is very knowledgeable about everything auto. Helped me out a ton in process of restoring older Jeep Wrangler. He ll tell you what you need and doesn t oversell you, which has kept me coming back exclusively to Advanced so much so, I reached Elite status unlocking a whole new set of rewards and discounts. Mike and his colleagues are the BEST!

Mark at East University Ave in Gainesville Fl greeted me with politeness and a smile and said may I help you?. He is always polite and very respectful and very helpful and done in a timely manner and before the sale is closed he always asks if I need anything else . I don't use this place of five stars because their customer service is not always this good. Today I stood waiting line and this gentleman tries to jump in front of me. I gave him the what are you doing eye and stepped up to let him know I was in line. He still look like he had plans to jump in front of me but a customer service rep saw what was on in called me up to his station. I told him I had a problem with what I needed and explain it to him and he seemed knowledgeable already looked it up and said what I needed covered several years. Which was a really good thing for me. The price wasn't too much in my book. And he took great care of me. I wish all representatives in that store was as good.

Every other Advanced I've gone to has had, in stock, the brake light bulb I've needed. This store never seems to stock them. Or the right tag lights. Walmart has those items on stock and most other Advanced locations. This one just never seems to.

New to Gainesville and received a warning that my license tag was burned out. Went to this Advance location and received outstanding customer service from the store manager, John. He was warm, friendly, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

Twice now I've come here for parts for two common vehicles, a gmc sierra and a Ford Transit and both times they didn't stock my items, the first time was the rotor for my 2107 gmc sierra and now this time spark wires for my 2020 Ford transit. They couldn't even order the part because in their system it didn't exist. How y'all stay in business is beyond me..m
