I went in wanting a certain vehicle, but found it was out of my price range. Tony was very helpful at finding me the right car at the right price. I was in and out in about 2 hours and I love my "new to me" Toyota Scion. I highly recommend this dealership and Tony.

This is DISHONEST AUTOS. The Owner of this business repossessed a vehicle 6 days before Christmas from a hardworking 6 month pregnant mother. She put down $2,000 & She was not been able to work in a couple weeks due to sickness. When she returned to work she immediately paid $250 and was going to keep making payments each week so that she could get ahead for when she misses a few weeks of work from the birth. The finance department was in constant communication and they expressed they were surprised the vehicle was repossessed and had no idea it was happening. Essentially the owner took $2,500 and 6 weeks later repossessed the vehicle from a pregnant person 6 days before Christmas. It is having a devastating impact on her mental health as well. Luckily, she has a lot of community and local family support and word is getting around about DISHONEST AUTOS. I will work hard to ensure people in the area hear her story and I pray she will be okay but this repossession 6 days before Christmas and 1 day after taking her $250 payment and saying nothing to her, will take a devastating toll on her. She cannot work or provide for her children easily without transportation. This is very unethical and immoral business practice. I m not even certain this is Legal. I m certain DISHONEST AUTOS will reply to this post & come up with some DISHONEST Clever response to minimize this story & to twist the details because I can already see what kind of business this is now. But word is getting around THE VILLAGES & the Lake - Sumter - Marion community all over social media. The young owner that took over the family business does not do business like the original owner who was Honest. He makes fraudulent claims about customers without communicating with the customers. He disparages the customer on google reviews. $2,500 down payment on November 15th when the vehicle left the lot and the first payment not due until December 29. The owner says two payments missed because he wanted $3000 for down payment and wanted the $1000 immediately during which time the customer was sick. He takes the vehicle without communicating any concerns with the customer 6 days before Christmas. He will then resale the vehicle and the $2,500 from the customer is completely lost without any refund. The customer also had to put two new tires on the vehicle because it was sold with bad tread. The owner also is unwilling to give the vehicle back regardless of how much money the customer will pay. The owner also made unprofessional and frankly inappropriate remarks to the young lady.

What a great place to get your next car I went here after talking on the phone with them. I wanted my dream vehicle I was looking for over a year! I found my Jeep Wrangler here and man do I love her so much. They were willing to work with my not so great credit. They made it work for me so I could drive her home! They never made me feel pressured like I had to buy it that day. They listened to my needs and wants. I absolutely will go here for our next car! Check them out promise you won t be disappointed!

I had a great experience at Honest Auto's in Fruitland Park.Very helpful people. Especially Tony Moore. He helped me immensely. Friendly people here. If I could give them an 11 I would..Definitely a 10. So if you are looking for a used vehicle I Definitely recommend them

Hello everybody I am Steve with honest autos. I know how hard it is to find a dealership that you feel like you can trust in fact most people still believe that there aren't any on the planet. And I don't blame them there are so many dealerships out there doing it wrong. I don't know why it's so hard for them to understand people are just looking for an honest deal. I have been selling cars since 2008 I am a certified Chrysler Dodge and Jeep salesperson as well as certified Hyundai. I have worked for the Giants in the car sales world and I have been doing this in a few different states. But I have struggled to find a dealership that would allow me to treat people with respect honesty and kindness. Until the day I found honest Autos, honest autos is the first five star dealership I have ever worked for. It is so hard for a dealership to obtain five stars and that only comes from a lifetime of good business and great morals. Honest Autos is the oldest independent used car dealership in Lake County almost 38 years of great customer service. And it is not only the greatest place to purchase an amazing automobile but it is also the greatest place that I have ever worked. And that's why I am personally giving honest autos five stars thank you honest autos for being brave enough to be one of a kind.

From the moment we stepped onto the lot we just knew this car buying experience was going to be different. We were looking for a reasonably priced, reliable car for our son as a gift for his 18th birthday. I called before we went and had the pleasure of speaking with Logen. He was so courteous, respectful and helpful right from the start. I can tell you we always dread going to car dealers and had visited almost 8 the day before prior to heading over to Honest Autos. At each one the experience was worse than the other. Until we got to Honest Autos. Logen welcomed us like we were family. He and my husband chatted about several vehicles and he was HONEST (yes I said it) giving us very straight and upfront opinions. We are from NY and my husband is a hard one to impress, especially when making big purchases - but he was very impressed with Logen. There was a mutual respect shown that made us feel appreciated for coming in - not just a sales pitch to get us in any car. He took time to listen to us. Once we made the decision to purchase the actual buying process was even easier. Not hours signing paperwork with hidden fees and "must haves" that other dealers push on you. Just HONEST upfront pricing and a solid deal. If you need a car we recommend heading over to Honest Autos and make sure to ask for Logen! He is the real deal. Thanks again Logan, you helped us make one 18 year old very happy!

Far from honest, don t get fooled by some positive reviews you see. I m telling you , back off from this place and run away as fast as you can!! I got ripped off with a Nissan rogue, in two week had to get rid of it..

Bought a 94 z28 from them. Broke down on drive home after signing papers. Alternator was shot! 1 week later rear end kept getting louder. Pulled cover on diff. Bone dry. Had multiple sensors that were bad. Clutch went out 2 weeks in!! I Changed them out. One week in tires split. Both rear! They tried to say because I spun them. Their answer to remedy situation, took $500 off balance. Thank god we can do our own work. Within 1 month put out more than $2000 just in parts. Now like everyone I know, we work very hard for our $$!! There was no going over this car. It was unreliable and unsafe from the start. Look at pic of exhaust nice welds! We have never been taken advantage of from a dealership like this before. Think twice before buying from there. They are far from Honest!!! I expected possibly a couple issues. Was told it was gone over and was a solid car. Your response is typical BS! $400 in tires, a rear end that was bone dry!!! Cost $450 for a used rear end. So save your breath and just like you did in your response in a round about way accusing me of what happened after the sale. I got it hoping for a cool daily driver. I drive for a living so my liscence is what puts food on my table. I take my driving record seriously!!!I m just shy of 60 years old an Air For Vet who you took advantage of.Know what happened? It sat on jack stands getting repaired for your company s lack of honesty!!! And that we will take $10 off your payment for a good review. What a joke.

I had the most awesome experience with Ernie at Honest Autos. He had a no-pressure ease about him that was completely refreshing and he took the time to ask & then ACTUALLY listen to what I wanted in a vehicle. And the kids knows his stuff, because in about 5mins we were looking at the exact truck I had been looking for. I'm serious- an explorer sport trac with the engine and features I really wanted. I couldn't belive they had one. Our test drive was great, the vehicle was in amazing condition, & Ernie kept me laughing and smiling the whole way :)I couldn't have asked for a better experience, honestly. Iwill recommend Honest Autos to anyone. Vehicles are in great shape and the prices are fantastic. The team and especially Ernie are awesome. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Honest Auto has sure earned its name with me. They have gone above and beyond to help me in my greatest time of need. If it was not for Honest Auto I don't know where my status of transportation would be All the staff on site are wonderful and cater to what you need. The Owner of Honest Auto, Gary who is a spectacular business man. You dont meet many like him anymore. Thank you Gary and all of your staff you have had a big impact on my life. I attempted to sell my car privately over a 3-month period and was having no luck at all. I took it to three major dealerships and they all offered me a ridiculous low price. The folks here at honest autos offered me a fair price, and I sold them the car. I was in and out with a check in hand in 15 minutes.

Bartton is an amazing sales person. I needed a nice pickup to do some volunteer projects and Bartton was very helpful restoring the roughest looking truck on the lot into a vehicle suitable for a perfectionist. Thanks for your patient and encouraging advice at auto restoration. He is definately the salesperson to ask for if you need a vehicle with a lower stress level of purchase.

My son bought a car from here. Check engine light came on before we even made it home. We were told to call back the next day and schedule an appointment to see what s wrong as it s their so called warranty. Long story short they were always to busy to set up a date to look at the car. Kept saying call back and call back. The motor blew up and they want my son to be responsible for the repair costs plus the cars note in its entirety. This company is far from honest. Thank you for showing my son what the typical buy here pay here bait is switch it all about. Avoid this company at all costs. Gary and Logan you both have my number. Make this rightResponse to the reply. You did not offer to pay for 1 cent. You offered to put a used motor with. 86k mikes in it and make my son pay 2k upfront with the remaining 2k added to an already over priced vehicle. And also we tried numerous times to try and get the vehicle brought in and each time you were to busy to and you would call back. I also have text records and call logs to show our attempts to make contact to get this vehicle looked at. To place the blame on my son is foolish as well as not HONEST

I purchased a 2020 Nissan Sentra for my daughter from honest autos. Had the vehicle shipped from Florida to Alabama and noticed that the lane departure sensor and the forward Collision sensor were not working properly. The same day I took delivery of the car I immediately took it to the Nissan dealership to get to the bottom of it and I was told that the price to fix everything would be a little over $3,000. I reached out to honest autos and got them in touch with the dealership and they covered the cost of everything. That was a great gesture and many car companies wouldn't have made things right but they definitely did and me and my daughter are grateful. Good folks doing good business.

Honest Autos greets and treats you with a certain kind of hospitality you don t see very often nowadays, especially in the field of car sales. My salesman Eric thoroughly explained the process and paperwork well enough to where I felt very confident and knowledgeable in any of their many options. Although I unfortunately continued the search in my car hunt, the first place I d come back to or recommend is Honest Autos. You re treated as an equal and your questions and concerns are valued and addressed, not disregarded. Incredibly hospitable staff and management. You won t regret taking the time to check out their lot and inventory.

Please read this before you decide to invest any money at this dealership. I purchased a Prius outright from these people less than 6 months ago and have experienced nothing but headaches. It was in "great" condition and basically they sold me a ticking time bomb of a car. After spending almost $2000 in repairs after 2 months since my initial purchase, I now have to replace the motor 4 months later! The worst part is that I had the car towed to the repair shop at "honest" auto and was flat out lied to. Corey, the repair shop manager, after having my car for almost a week said that "after running tests, the issue was with the hybrid system". This was not the truth, as it was just the regular motor that was the issue. He/They didn't want to do the job and then waited until after having the car for almost a week to let me know. After I Called Them! They are just as crooked as any used car dealership and I would suggest to you to go elsewhere. They are not honest or reliable. I regret this purchase and I hope this helps anyone on the fence about working with these shysters.
