Called the auto center because I had a tire sensor light that was on on the dash of the car. I called several places to see if I could get it checked out and see what the malfunction could be. I decide to take it to the Wal-Mart Auto Center in Fort Walton Beach because the person on the phone quoted $28.88 if it turned out to be a TPMS sensor which it ended up being. I brought the car to the auto center the next morning and was greeted by Teresa M who was the staff member checking in cars for service that day. She took down relevant information about me and proceeded to check the tire sensors to see if any were malfunctioning, turns out 1 was not being read by the device that checks for the signal , she return to the car where I was sitting and said "one of your sensors was bad BUT the two front tires tread were not within limits and needed to be replaced before she could replace the sensor", I ahd just had the car inspected and the tire were 8/32 which are in limits to pass a inspection, regardless I ask what would the cost be which turned out to be over $200 more after taxes and fees were calculated. Since my wife was driving home the following day to Virginia I needed this fixed so I agreed to the 2 rear tires and 1 sensor to be replaced. Wife went home to VA and came back about three months later to Florida where I had been staying , she informed me the TPMS light had been coming back on and she had been having to put air in both rear tires, I called Walmart and set up another appointment to see if one of the sensors she installed was defective or if I had a leak, Teresa once again check us in and said it was not the sensors but the "band" of the tire two rear were bad and needed to replace NOW the two rear tires, I asked her how could she possibly know the band was bad without taking the tire off to check , she said the tire was pushing out from the rim, I could not see this on either rear tire. We declined service this time and took it to another tire shop near WalMart, turned out it was bead of the tire was leaking cause it was not cleaned prior to the tires being installed. It must be noted I have been working on cars most of my adult life and even worked in a tire shop when I was teenager as my first job so I know my way around a car for the most part. After I pointed out my doubts about the issue at hand and suggested that this was unnecessary work being performed Teresa stated she is not paid on commission so why would she try and get the tires replaced. I believe she is trying to generate additional sales for the autocenter by getting work performed that is unnecessary, the incentive is to generate additional revenue for WalMart as a whole. Regardless it's "fraud" so take your vehicle to a honest place and stay away from WalMart autocenter in Fort Walton Beach.

I ended up being pleased with the attention I received once I was recognized. But my experience leading up to that point would have made this a one-star review. I pulled into the auto care and saw two men outside. I wasn't sure if I should have parked where I was, so I asked a question of them, and they ignored me. There were no signs to indicate what I should do. I feel that signs stating Park here, then go inside by this door, and take a ticket or wait to be acknowledged, or say hello I need some help is what is needed. Because I definitely was unsure of what I was supposed to do, and I felt unseen by the staff that was there.I finally decided to stare down a staff member and insist that they acknowledge me, and the help I received going forward was very helpful. I did have to end up moving my vehicle because I was parked in the wrong spot and when I asked where I should Park the reply was somewhat snotty when they asked well are you getting service, if not then you can park across the street. I ended up not using the service of Walmart auto care. And I'm not sure if I would choose them in the future.

I understand human error. But installing a tire they made every error possible including not even registering the work. I had to rely on MY 6mth old ppw..then deal with having to provide a recipt. Like they can't see I ordered it online (w/ them). Then an arrogant mngr I hadn't seen the 1st 2xs giving me a hard time for asking to be expedited for an issue that belonged to them, had taken my time a total of3xs/days. With my family waiting.... to mount a tire on a rim. 0/10 would not recommend! Especially not to try and be berated by someone who has been absent during this entire process. "I've been in this business a long time"..says the guy who manages a team that can't put a tire on a rim/ while neglecting to document it properly the first time.! Step up your crews game if you're going to boast about your experience. Don't threaten to refuse me service(I already paid for) bc I'll take my business elsewhere from now on.I don't owe you any favors for doing what you're supposed to do.Was told "I don't care how many times you've been here" .....maybe I wouldn't be upset if it was done right the 1st 2nd or 3rd time without having to produce all evidence of work YOU did and did NOT document. Now that's my fault? This place is clown shoes. Get your garage in order before lashing at a customer. -SincerelyRed

auto manager with long gray ponytail refused to work on my car because my hood was slightly bent, but still latched perfectly. Was rude to me and other employees as well while I was in the store.

Took my sister in to get her tires fixed after a crash. I have never seen more disrespectful service in my life. Both her front tires were blown, they had tires that would work but didn t match her in tact tires she said that was fine for now and they pretty much stared at her like she was crazy even though they suggested the tires. After the service all three lady s were sitting there ignoring us and laughing away to each other. When they finally let her pay so we could leave one of the lady s had the audacity to say remember it s a car not a skate board keep it off the curb mind you, this is the first time she s hurt this car which she s owned for years and she wasn t at fault for the blown tires. I have never seen so much disrespect and terrible customer service in my life. These employees need a serious attitude check, I highly recommend going to a different location, the destin Walmart auto service is far more professional.

I got a flat tire in the wal mart parking lot I called the auto center to see if they could fit me in that day and the young guy who answered the phone hung up on me. It was very unprofessional so I took my business someplace else.

Called simply to ask if hey accepted Synchrony Car Care credit card, was passed along three or 4 associates, then transferred to main customer person to receive answer, which was no, of course! This just didn't seem to be a complicated question, to me anyway, but? I even asked each person if they didn't have some sort of computer screen list or even paper, no, no, no, and no. I WILL say everyone in auto very friendly, courteous, and earnestly tried to get answer for me before rather reluctantly saying I needed to talk with customer service. Once I did, I could really understand. Personality and customer service skills, NOT!

A friend of mine had some issues with the tire, so we called Walmart they had the 235 65 r 15 and 15 is apparently Hard to Find now. We locked in the door and that's gentleman at the front desk that I can help you right away, and tell him what we need the tire size and it goes and gets it and comes back and pay for it we're out the door never extremely fast but if they're covered up if you know somebody or someone will charge you and it probably cheaper at Walmart just have them put the tire on for you even if it's 30 bucks it's a lot quicker. They did a great job.

Went to get a battery change and oil change. Explained to them that the key worked but was broken off the fob the next step after the battery change was to get a key...they said no problem waited for me to get my wife all the way home to call us and say they couldn't do anything with it because they were scared to mess with the key. Battery still dead I had to jump her car off to take it to Advance for a battery. Horrible service horrible customer service take your vehicle to a better place.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Needed to get my tires balanced and rotated and was told it would be a 3 hour wait, which is shorter than they typically say, so I dropped my keys off and left. 3 hours later with no call, so I decide to call them and they tell me there s still 2 cars ahead of me (which is coincidentally how many they said when I dropped off) and it s still going to be another 1 1/2 hours. I decide I ll just grab my car and go somewhere else later instead.10 minutes later, as I m pulling in to Walmart, they call and tell me that they found a nail in one of my tires that is unpatchable and I ll need to purchase 2 new tires due to not having the same speed rating. I look at the tire, and there is indeed a nail in the top and sticking out the side, but the angle looks like it s superficial. The mechanic told me it definitely isn t superficial because the tire was low and he needed to put air in it, which is strange because my car sensor didn t give me any warnings about low air. They recommend that I spend $210 on 2 new tires today, but I tell them to throw the spare on and I ll order 1 of the same tires. I pulled the nail and checked for air leakage when I got home and it turns out it was indeed superficial. So not only did they not rotate my tires after 3 1/2 hours, but they recommended that I spend $210 on 2 new tires when they didn t even properly check to see if I actually need one. I would never recommend going here. I would much rather pay a little extra money for some quality service.

Worst Walmart tire center ever. Went for a new tire and a battery. Was told it would be about 2 hrs. Two and half hours later they finally started on the tire. Once the tire was put on the wheel they informed us that they couldn't put the wheel on the car because it was missing a spacer. So they put the donut back on and the wheel with the new tire in the trunk and said I'd have to put the wheel on myself. Then said it would be another couple of hours before they could start on the battery. We told them we have already been there for almost 4 hrs. Why 2 more to change a battery. So we said we would just go somewhere else to get a battery and Tee the lady at the register said that's fine. She was very rude and said second shift will be coming in in 30 minutes so we are waiting for them to get here to do the battery. So we paid for the tire and went 5 minutes down the road to advance auto and they rang it up changed the battery and all in less than 20 minutes. I strongly urge Walmart to do something about the very unprofessional staff at this Walmart tire center. Luckily I was on vacation and never have to deal with these people again. Not only did I not buy the battery we also had a buggy of stuff we just left because we decided after the rudeness we wouldn't give this Walmart anymore of our money than we had to. WORST EVER TIRE CENTER WALMART OWNS!!!!!!!

Please, save yourself the headache and go anywhere but here. Customer service is terrible. They ordered the wrong tires (even after two different staff members looked at the vehicle) and only realized it after the tires came in and I had already been waiting 3 hours. I got a text stating the vehicle was ready and when I got there a staff member says I was just about to call you, we can t get to either of your vehicles. An overall nightmare.. Off to Tires Plus.

It literally took over 4 hours to change a car battery. It takes maybe 30 minutes to change a car battery. I expected to save myself the time and have them install it while I grabbed waters, nope. 3 and a half hours later they still haven t finished. Easily the most incompetent, inconsiderate and lazy workers imaginable. Have kids at home? Don t go to Walmart auto, they ll probably be done with collage by the time you finish even the most mundane task possible.Service: Battery

Went to purchase 2 new tires. Made the arrangements at the counter and was told it would take a couple of hours. 2 1/2 hours later they called to inform me that the other 2 tires were not the same speed rating so they couldn't touch it unless I bought 4 tires. Don't know why I went to Walmart to begin with.

I have always had really good service here. And they don't use polishing compound here so there are some lies below me. They clean my vehicle well do a good service but it does take time as they are always in demand so if you are in a rush go elsewhere as it is first come first serve. Do not come up close to closing time as they will refuse you. Go in early and you should do better. If I get in line long before closing time they will get to me but they always have a line. If you are going shopping it works well. If you have a problem take it up to management. I don't believe the comments below because I have been going for years to them and the only time I had a problem it was someone else's fault who messed up my steering column when replacing a key ignition unit that did not need replacement just the doors. They are slow because they have only two bays do a good job and always have a line. I MEAN REALLY SLOW to get to you because there are usually people lined up before they open. And it is service as they come in no appointments so you can leave it come back or go shop which is what I do and they will call you when it is done listen if it is close to closing or you may be stuck without a car or having to chase down management like I did.

They were quick and polite. Odd with this being walmart. Had a flat, took wheel off and Uber'd it to walmart. They got the tire replaced in 10 min. Uber'd back to my car and put the wheel back on. Drove back to the same walmart and they got me on the schedule in 1 hr to replace the other tire. I never put up reviews.

Went here for an oil change. Though on the checklist they said they inspected my air filter, I looked at it 3 days later, it was almost black and had a blue shop rag stuffed in the filter housing!!! I had a tire that was almost 10 PSI off. I also got the headlight restoration, 2+ hours later my entire engine compartment was filled with a fine spackle of buffing/polishing compound which took me over 3 hours to clean up! NEVER AGAIN

I work a lot. Like over 50 hours a week on the regular. I never have the time to do a lot with my car so when I heard I could go in for a quick battery change I decided to take the chance on Walmart's auto service. Everything was fast but professional. They were even able to look up a radio code on honda's website for my radio that was not working with no issue or extra charge. I cannot stress this enough that if you're a decent human being with minor car troubles, whether it be tires, battery issues, oil service, etc. then you should trust this place with your business. The employees already have a lot more patience than I do with some of their crazy customers. Good job guys.

I honestly I'm not a person that gives 1 o 2 star reviews but it was 4:30pm , I walked in they pretty much ignore me there was not much people there and I only needed a patch my tired and they told me to come back tomorrow because it was only one mechanic working on cars and they are so many people waiting and there were they were getting to close. That lady didn't even ask me what did I need it she just told me to come back tomorrow. So I end up going to prep boys across the street and had it done the same day...... not going to auto care center in Walmart ever again

I pull up to get a nail taken out of my tire. The greeter asks me to pull the car up so he can see the nail. He says " nail inside of tire treads 100 percent able to fix Walmart policy" than tells me about an hour in a half wait. I wait two hours and forty five mintues. Tech tells me, that other tire place will fix the tire, but it is to close to edge to repair. He says hold on one second gets his supervisor who says to close to edge of tread. I tell him about the greeter he just say no doesn't even say anything to greeter and walks off. Horrible customer service I guess what was I suppose to think it was Walmart!

I went in to get an oil change ( I use Walmart regularly for oil changes)and a tire rotation, I also have road hazard when I bought my tires from walmart. After telling the cashier in the automotive section that I would like my tire to be replaced because I found a nail in the tread. ( I've had to add air for two weeks now to keep it inflated enough to drive back and forth to work). After giving the cashier all of my information she told me I need to have the receipt from when I bought the tires. Mind you that was almost 5 years ago. I asked why that information wasn't in the computer if she need my name, address, phone number. She said I'd be charged the full price for a new tire and full price of a tire rotation even though I paid extra for the ROAD HAZARD package simply because i didn't have the piece of paper from 5 years ago. Horrible customer service. Horrible standards. This will be the last time I use Walmart for any services to my vehicle. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WALMART SERVICE

I was 2nd in line and I still waited 2 and half hours for a new battery. The day before was a 4 to 6 hour wait. Seems like they r never in a hurry. They also use to charge 19.99 for an oil change and now its 29.99. Just sad how the walmart prices just keep going up and the employees are treated crappy so it makes the customers suffer with the wait. Ridiculous.

Started off with the tech announcing to everyone that he was the only tech working that day and asking the front desk lady if he should have to do my car now or later since he was the only one working at that time. Eventually he got around to doing it after his hissy fit. The man told me it was only going to be for an hour and that I would get a call. I waited around for 3 hrs waiting for a call, till I had to call them myself to ask if my car was ready. The lady answered the phone was short with me and rude. She told me the car was ready. Very unprofessional and ill-prepared for the day.

Came here at 3:40 pm on Monday for a flat tire that just needed a patch up. They claimed that they couldn t take anymore tire jobs for the day. Which doesn t make sense since they close at 7pm! I saw about four-six mechanics so it was not like they were short staffed for the day!
