Super helpful! My van started running rough and it wasn't sure what the problem was. They took a diagnostic scan and figured out it was a timing issue. They weren't able to fix it that day but I appreciate their time for taking a look.

If I could give this place a 10, I would. This is a family owned and operated business and it definitely has that feel. As a husband and a father I would never worry about having my wife or daughter drop off their car here nor would I ever worry they would be taken advantage of price wise. Ask for Mike and he will take amazing care of you and your family!

If you don t know about the place, then you just moved here.This is a family own business now run by Al s son(s).This is where you take your car when you aren t really sure what s wrong and you don t want to be taken advantage of.It s also the place you take your car for every single other reason.Al s family has been helping my family (Weatherington s) for the last 25+ years.

Love these guys! They always try to accommodate best they can, even when they are slammed (which is always).Honest, super efficient, and just really good humans.They stay booked up for a reason; the customer service is worth the wait!Glad we found them!!

Mike and his guys got me in there last minute for a full 150,000-mile service. All fluids were changed and everything was checked on my truck. They did a great job, were very quick and thorough, and at a great price. I shopped around for about a week looking for the best deal and these guys definitely set the bar. If you're looking to get your car worked on, nothing beats a family-owned shop like this one. I highly recommend.

Came to town to visit my parents and my brakes went bad. We were leaving the following day, and this auto body shop came to our rescue, fixed on short notice and did a wonderful job. What great folks. Tony and Mike got my wife's vehicle in before 7:00 am and out by 8:30 am so she could drive to Georgia to be with our special needs grand daughter. Al s is everything you need in a mechanic. Honest, Friendly, Affordable, & Caring. Mike is the man. I was on a road trip from Tennessee to Florida and when I got to Alabama my wheel almost came off due to a hub assembly failure. I got it towed here to Al s and even though they were busy, they still found time and looked at it first thing Monday knowing I was on a time crunch being out of town. I needed to make sure my vehicle was 100% safe for my road trip back. Mike went the extra mile and inspected everything and found other issues with my braking system and all was buttoned up so I was good to go. They charged me $1,700 (most was in parts) for a job that would have costed me $3,000+ in Tennessee. I wish this shop was local to me, because I would only use them if they were. Thanks Mike & Team!

Asked for new tires and alignment. Did not get a price quote. When the work was completed and saw the bill I was very pleased. The tires installed are a better brand and the cost was 20% less than 2 local competitors whom I had received a quote from. Even though the others do offer a "military discount ".I recommend this place eyes closed.Being a Military member I feel these guys truly have my back.

I love Al s so much. I dropped off my car this morning for an oil change and to get the brakes looked at. What another mechanic couldn t get to for two days took Al s three hours. Fast, friendly and affordable. Al's was recommended to me by a longtime customer of theirs and I 100% see why I was told to go there. Mike was very friendly and listened to my concerns as I explained my issue. When they figured out what was wrong, Scott called and explained it thoroughly, clearly, and offered suggestions. I will definitely come back here if I have any further problems with my vehicle. They do seem pretty popular; I would possibly call ahead and find out when they can fit you in so you don't have to wait any longer than necessary. I brought in my van expecting to spend a few hundred dollars or even a thousand for a rack and pinion replacement but lo and behold they just replaced a power steering pressure switch which is not even a couple hundred dollars. Thankful for their trustworthiness. This is my second time to have my vehicle serviced at their shop and I highly recommend them. To me they always have the most reasonable repair cost.

We have used Al's for years and have observed several things:1. They are competent mechanics. They always make sound repairs and fix things the right way. No shortcuts or shoddy work.2. They are very good at diagnosing problems. I have taken one of our son's cars there for a second opinion and they determined the real problem which, by the way, was a much cheaper fix than what the first mechanic quoted.3. Their pricing is fair. The only disagreements I have ever had with them over the years was that they were not charging me enough. Its hard to be believe, but I swear it is true. I have never said that about any other repair service or shop in my life.4. Most important. They are honest. I totally trust them to do the right thing. Its like a breath of fresh air talking to them. I have great respect for Mike and everybody that works there as good and decent people.Finally, just so you know, I have no ties to this shop. They did not ask for a review.

We were in town on vacation when my sons car started giving him trouble. Called the shop on a Thursday and told him what was going on with the car he said with the description I gave it was a common problem with his model, wheel bearing, and they had the parts in stock to fix it. Although he was book up for the day he was able to get the car in on Friday morning, call with an estimate a few hours later and had it fixed and ready to go by the afternoon. Good thing since we were supposed to check out of our condo the next morning an head back to Missouri. Very highly recommended this shop honest, fast, fair and professional.

We bought a beautiful car from CarMax and had a few days to return it for any reason.Since they guarantee the vehicle had received their 100+ point inspection and all was well, we were sure it was right. Fortunately Al had invited us to always bring any car in for his inspection. Mike and his guys didn't get past 10 inspection points before finding the entire bottom side was a rust bucket.We returned the car and I feel Al and Mike saved us thousands of $$ but also many failures and problems going forward.

Brought my car in for an overheating issue & Scott was extremely helpful! He took his time & thoroughly cited the problem & reassured me that my car would be back up & running by the end of the day. I work the night shift, so I wasn t able to get my car until the next morning, but ever since then, I ve never had any other issues with my car overheating. VERY professional & hard-working men with reasonable prices. I, highly, recommend.

My husband had done some research as to why my passenger airbag light came on in my 2007 Lexus IS350. It wasn't acknowledging on his code reader so we needed someone with the Toyota/Lexus software to try and recalibrate it once it came up. We tried another shop and that guy was gonna charge $50 but it was a disaster trying to coordinate with him. We were driving down Eglin Pkwy and my husband did a quick turn into Al's. They were more then happy to help us!! Jeff came out to the car right away and hooked up the reader. It took him about 15 minutes to diagnose. Unfortunately it couldn't be recalibrated. They did not charge us anything for their time. This place has been here for 50 years with the same owner. We will definitely recommend this place to others and will be back!!

As a tourist visiting Destin and I am from Hamilton Ontario Canada and had the bearings go on my air conditioner on a Nissan rogue. Talked to my garage back home to help diagnose and find out roughly what a fair cost would be. I first went to Tuffy ( who I had a good experience years ago) in Destin and they correctly diagnosed problem however quote came in at one thousand more than Als garage. My wife had spotted Al's and noticed they were busy and had good reviews. They were professional and completed the job quickly. Even though I am a tourist they treated me fairly. Saving one thousand American dollars is like one million Cdn lol. Thank you to Al's my vehicle ran good while in Destin and made the 1900 km trek back home.Service: Air conditioning

I was referred from time saver by Brian to go to Al s Auto Repair Service off Eglin because he said they would give a better diagnosis of my car because the check engine light had been coming off and on. Scott from Al s totally took advantage of my funds that I did not have for my 2011 Chevy Cruze. Best part is I was told I had a warranty through Al s after receiving auto repairs from Scott turns out that was a lie!! I highly recommend going elsewhere!!!!!! In need of service and some upgrades for my Chevy truck, I had inquired with many local shops who did not have the time, interest or expertise. A friend referred me to Al's in saying "the only shop he trusts to work on his truck". Now I can see why ! Mike was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and completed all work promptly at a very fair price. I highly recommend Al's Auto Repair & Service.
