A great experience from start to finish. Our car needed a water pump and they did the job in the time they said they would. Professional and friendly service. Will definitely use again when needed.

I have used McAllister s for the better part of 25 years off and on and my family has become friends with theirs. When my uncle sold his shop in Fort Myers he not only told us to quit using his old shop, but to switch over and use McAllister s from now on, and as often as possible, and I am so glad we do. The customer service staff is so friendly, helpful, and most of all, honest! They make you feel like more than just a customer. The techs will tell you the minimum required to get your vehicle running again, but also the maximum to fix everything. It would be $2000 to fix everything this time, but only $292.00 to get my car running again. those were his words not mine, and of course I chose the lower number. All they just want is to provide good, friendly, honest service to help the little guy out as best as possible. I haven t felt as welcomed and as a part of at an automotive repair shop since my uncles shop and now I get that feeling here. Now that my uncle has sold and is out of the business in the Fort Myers area, McAllister s has become my number one place, and auto repair shop of my choice for the area, and should be yours. You will not get better service or a more honest price anywhere else. I most certainly 100% recommend McAllister s auto repair on Palm Beach Blvd. in Fort Myers, Florida for all your automotive needs. McAlister's was referred to me from a friend that is a long time customer of theirs. This shop was able to get my daughter's car in quickly and let us know everything that was going on. They finished the work and had the car back to us a day earlier that expected. The car is running great and my family has found a new repair shop for our cars. You can trust this shop to be upfront and honest with you as well as getting your vehicle repaired right the first time. They also stand behind their work with the best warranty I've seen with any repair shop.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I was having some mechanical some issues with my Ford Escape. When I took the vehicleto a ford dealer, they weren t able to diagnose the problems and charged an arm and a leg for their failed diagnostics.So I went ahead and made an appointment with McAlister s Auto Repair which was very easy and convenient to do! They got me in the shop quickly and the Diagnostic fee was reasonably priced too. When they figured out the issues, and there were multiple issues. They were able to repair the vehicle thoroughly and for much cheaper than I initially anticipated. Luis the service manager and the other employees I spoke with were super helpful in letting me know what exactly the problems were and what was required to fix the vehicle. They also took the time to break down the pricing and options I had available.Great customer service and communications with this shop. Why go to a big dealership when these guys can get it done quicker and for a better price. Honest, reasonably priced, and Jamie was awesome! She was so nice and explained everything really well. They diagnosed my car a few hours after drop off and I never felt like I was being pressured/upsold like I have at almost every other mechanic I ve ever used. I've always heard good things about McAlister's from my neighbors (I only live around a block away for the shop), but had always taken my Nissan to the dealership. After a particularly bad experience with the dealership, I finally gave them a call made an appointment. McAlister's called me only a few hours after dropping it off and gave me the rundown of what was wrong, what truly needing fixing, and what was optional. They were up-front and direct, while still being friendly and setting you at ease. My A/C works great now, and we've since taken my Partner's car there as well for another repair. It's incredibly hard to find a Mechanic you can trust, so you can bet I will be using them going forward. One note, it's a good idea to plan ahead and try to make an appointment, as this shop gets very busy. (which honestly probably just speaks to how good they are)Services: Electrical, Air conditioning

In the future, I will only trust McAlister's with my car! I have had the pleasure of bringing my care here twice, and each time I have been astounded by the professionalism and friendliness displayed by all staff. From secretary to mechanic, all staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Both times that I took my car here, there was never any funny business. They never tried to upsell me on anything make unnecessary recommendations.The first time I took my car here was due to an engine issue with my 2013 Hyundai Sonata and they tried everything in their power to help me get a replacement covered under warranty. When I was able to find someone on the other coast, they allowed me to keep my car in the back lot and were very understanding.You would be hard pressed to find anyone mechanic shop more down-to-earth and friendly than McAlister's!Services: Tires, Engine repair

I just had my car serviced at McAlisters and was so impressed with the work that I need to write a review. The service was exceptional, affordable and most importantly, they are honest. I live on the East Coast of Florida but will always drive west to take my car here. I feel lucky to have found them. Thank you for taking care of my car - you are a rare find these days!

I had a nightmare experience with my dealership that ended in my car being returned to me in worse condition than I had dropped it off in. After an hour and a half at McAlister's, the "undiagnosable" problem with my brakes was identified and was fixed in the same day. Everyone I interacted with was incredibly courteous and competent. I found this business to be honest and highly trustworthy.Service: Brakes

Apart from the great service, I am very pleased with Mr. Kerry and the mechanics he has who are very knowledgeable. They nailed my issue right away and was able to resolve my vehicles problem where no one else has been able to before. The customer service was excellent and were very friendly and professional. I was having lighting issues amd was desperate. pulled in they fixed it and didn't even charge me a dime. just a faulty fuse. These guys are real American heros. I'm just a poor working stiff. I work for every penny I make and when they stepped up and helped out thwy made a lifetime customer out of me. I am taking my vehicles here as soon as I get back for spring training. they are true blue and we have to take care of rare flash backs to a bygone time when Americans took care of each other. No more division just good folks helping each other out that ALL we need. 7 stars are in order.

Exceeded expectations. Brought in my 2011 Jeep JK for some brake work after nearly 5 hard years of driving in Central America (offroad, abyssmal road conditions). The mechanic replaced and repaired my braking system in one day and it rides like new. Front and rear assemblies done and the pricing was reasonable. This place has definitely become my go to mechanic for those tough jobs.Service: Brakes

I haven't had the best of luck or experiences with most mechanics around town (Fort Myers). They tend to be little better than the stereotypical used car salesman and I won't even mention the nightmare that are the service departments at virtually all of the local dealers. McAlister's is a different story entirely. These guys are highly skilled, and equally important, incredibly honest. Jobs quoted in the hundreds of dollars at other places end up a pittance (less than a hundred here) and they stand by their workmanship. I ve had two different vehicles serviced at this location and had a great experience both times. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by Jaime and Michelle who treat you like family and make sure that they explain everything to you. And my vehicle was serviced quickly and I was able to get right to work. Quality service and customer service. Highly recommend. I m glad I have found a reliable, trustworthy place to take my vehicle to.

Why have a phone number? No one ever answers. Called over course of a few days to get a quote.Their website states we are OPEN partially and servicing customers BY APPOINTMENT ONLY at this time. Due To Hurricane Ian And The Damage We Sustained , but does not disclose any information regarding phone outages or an alternate number to call.They should update their google page/website. (Edited 2/9/23 in response to Owners response).

I bought a older car that had the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Made a appointment with a nice lady, the mechanic gave my car a diagnostic and then called me. We discuss the issues and he went right to work on it. Pick my car up the next day and am happy with the work done. Sorta a small town feel to this shop, but had the equipment for my foreign car. Would Recommend !

My husband and I were out of state visiting Florida, when our check engine light came on. We chanced it going McAlisters and we were so lucky that we chose them. They took us right in and went above and beyond to help us. The staff are amazing, very caring,and thorough . We appreciate all their help!! As a first time customer, I am highly impressed! This company diagnosed the electrical problem in short order (something others were unable to do), provided a detailed estimate for the cost of repair for approval, completed the work in a timely fashion and when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, they took the time to show me the problem and explain what had been done to correct the issue. Based on my experience, I will return for all my future automotive electrical needs!On the personal side, the owner and staff are quite amiable.

I have been coming to McAlister's for 3 years and the whole team/family here has given me the best customer service every time I walk in the door. I can't express my gratitude towards them enough, for their kindness that they have shown me and really making me feel honored to be a veteran and to have served this great country. I have been a loyal customer, but now I will never even think twice about going anywhere else. They are truly the best Auto Shop in Fort Myers, and set the standard on how to to treat both Automobiles and People. You'll see what I mean when you get there.

This was literally the most pleasant customer service I have ever received. This locally owned and ran auto repair did for me what all of the other big names corporate business couldn t. They are also adhering to distancing and mitigation in these Covid times, which was a plus. I would 100% recommend to anyone staying in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area.Service: Brakes

My car broke down several counties away from home and left me stranded on a Thursday evening with no other vehicle. The tow truck driver recommended Mcalisters and I am so glad I listened! I got a phone call first thing in the morning from a professional and polite woman asking what the issues were and was extremely sympathetic to my situation. I travel for work and having my car is everything to me and my family. I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg and wait a week and that was devastating. But amazingly they got my car up and running in one day and didn t rip me off with unnecessary labor and parts. I m impressed to say the least and I would definitely travel the hour to be serviced here again!Service: General repairs & maintenance

They were a great help today with my air compressor. Helped me find the problem.. and the solution. Made time to fit me in and actually seemed happy to find where the problem was. The people who work here are really great. Stop here before you go anywhere else.. u wont regret it!... I changed the rating to 5 bc these ppl continue to go out of their way for the customer! My bf was in picking up a part for the bobcat and his temporary card wouldn't work( severe issues w truist) and he was a little shy on cash so he said he would have to come back later. The employee followed him to his truck, gave him the part.. and said dont worry about it! You never see that anymore! We will make sure we get the difference back to them so they continue to bless others! Amazing

McAlister s is amazing! They gave me estimates on my car and care about their customers. No price gouging. They are honest about repairs and iI value that. I tried other car repair shops and they tried to hustle me out of extra money and repairs. Been going here for over 15 years. If you're getting anything more than an oil change go here if you want it done right. I don't trust anyone more than McAlister's for any big repairs. They are the best in the area.
