I went to AAMCO to have my Oil leak fixed they told me $1200 so I paid them the money to get my car fixed. When I went to pick my car up later that day they told me that there is another leak somewhere else and it will be another $1200 . Since my dad used to be a mechanic I spoke to him he told me they should of fixed that leak when they took everything apart. So now there saying to fix the other leak it is another $1200. So I took my car to another shop for a second opinion they said to me that it doesn't even look like any work was even done. DONT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR OR TRUCK TO THIS SHOP THEY ARE CONS

Went to this shop months ago. Asked them to put my transmission in. (Long story short don t go to this shop no matter what situation you are in)They A. Didnt even bolt the transmission all the way on. 2 bolts (that were definitely in the trunk) weren t bolted on.B. Once they saw my catalytic converter was almost off, without asking me they decided to take it off (unplugging multiple lines and hoses to get to it, without putting those back into place) and take it. They disconnected my AC line so I had to go get the AC recharged. Didn t find out till after the car was towed back. Not to mention they didn t even put the hardware back in the car so I could put it back together. So many trips to ACE later Im finally done fixing what they messed up (that I didn t even ask them to do)they charged me around 2 thousand dollars to not finish the job, steal my catalytic converter, and causing me more work than it wouldve been to put the transmission in the car. I wasn t going to write this review, but months later I m STILL running into things that they did.It s unbelievably frustrating.Edit: update, turns out they put the flywheel on wrong too. So the car can t rev like it should and therefore can t drive on the road properly. I m taking the transmission back out of the car. Only to find they also hand tightened all the bolts. So they came off unbelievably easily. How do you not at least tighten the bolts you put on the car? Unbelievable. So basically I paid them 2k to put the flywheel on wrong, not finish putting all the bolts in, steal my catalytic converter, leave hoses and wires unplugged, and send the car back to me like nothing happened. This shop is a prime example why I tell people to learn to work on their own cars instead of taking it somewhere.Do not bother with this place.

I went to aamco to get my oil leak fixed and when I came to pick up the car when it was done he told me that there was another leak and didn t want to tell me about it till I was about to pay when he should have called me so I can pay him to fix that too while he has everything apart all ready and he wants another $1200 for that and when I inspected the work when I got home it looks like no work was even done so I brought my car to two different shops and they both said that no work was even done on the car after spending $1268.72 for them to don the work and than when I told aamco that I want my refund they said have a good day and hung up on me they were up set that I put a bad review the two shops I brought my car too said that thee bolts don t even look like they been touched and the gasket looks like they never been replaced I have a couple pictures that I took to prove that it hasn t been touched including the bolts and the rtv gasket and in order to do the timing chain cover gasket you also have to replace the valve cover gasket witch another shop said that the valve cover gasket is still seeping oil which also leads me to believe that no work has been done to fix the oil leak issue

Me and my wife traveled 1500 miles to get to my daughters for Christmas. On the way we experienced transmission problems. Once in Fort Myers and after Christmas I called and talked to Jay, he was very honest and told me he did not think it would be possible to have it done by the time we needed to leave. To my surprise he called me a couple hours later and had a solution. They had it done in two days and we were going to be able to just drive home instead of flying out and back to pick it up. I highly recommend this repair shop to anyone. Thanks again for you speedy and honest work!Service: Transmission

I gave them a call from Naples and asked if they could do a transmission on a e350 box truck. They said yes come on in and we will get you an estimate by end of day. As I was trying to park my truck in there parking lot, some guy came banging on my window like a mad man yelling we can't work on your truck it's to big. It sure would have been nice if they said that before driving all the way from naples. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. I believe that was very RUDE how I was greeted in the parking lot and pushed away.

I ordered a transmission and it was the wrong one. Then I finally found the right one and they installed it but being that it was used for whatever reason it did not work. I purchased extra warranty through lkq to cover parts and labor and kindly asked if they could find the right one that actually works and the a$$ manager told me he Doesn't want to work on it. He said if it stays there any longer that hes gonna start charging me storage fees. I've already paid for 2 transmissions that do not work and I'm just waiting to get my refunds and after a major hurricane I don't think this guy's being very nice to me at all which is why hes not getting a good rating whatsoever. He claims to be the number one transmission place on Earth but yet they don't work on DSG transmissions for Volkswagen's. Seems rather odd if you're supposed to be the number one transmission place on Earth. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE!

I left my car there for a check up and an oil change and they took care of me like I was family. Chad the service manager was very polite, friendly and professional. Also the staff was very diligent and courteous as well, Blake took care of my car and Joe even made me coffee while I waited. They found time to squeeze me in while they were slammed working on big transmission jobs! I will be coming back if I ever have any transmission problem as well.

Absolutely recommend these guysHad a weird issue with my car they diagnosed the issue and fixed it quickly and honestly. That's hard to find in a transmission shop. Don't hesitate to call em and have em check your carHad to go back to these guys last week, Google wont let me do a separate review so I had to edit this one to include my experience with this shop.again, they had the opportunity to sell me parts I did not need we had in fact actually ordered and had parts come in to install only to find out, it was just a loose fitting causing the issue. I was told it just needed to be tightened up and cleaned up a bit to see there was not a leak after.Honest shops are just too hard to find these days.my car has 205,000 miles on it and when I finally actually have to replace my transmission I know where I am taking it.You would be insane to go any other place for work on your automatic transmission in your vehicle.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

First time dealing with transmission problems are was ready for the worst. But the crew at AAMCO made me a happy man. Initially was told they may need to keep car but was not the case. Not only did they diagnosis the problem quickly but repaired it much sooner then I anticipated. Plus we all know how expensive transmission repairs can be. I was very pleased with the the final cost. Thank you AAMCO crew, you have gained a new customer Service: Transmission

I have a fleet of vehicles for my business and wasn't satisfied with my previous Auto service company so i switched to AAMCO transmission. The whole team is great, on numerous occasions they have taken my vehicles in on short notice and had them fixed the same day. They are very trustworthy and great pricing. They make sure its done right and the customer is Happy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND .

I have been going to this shop for several years. I have found them to be honest, trustworthy and reliable. They have always diagnosed the problem on both my cars and fixed it far beyond my expectations. My 2000 Town & Country van is hitting 200,000 miles and I thought I was getting rid of it when it had first surpassed 150,000 but Aamco worked on it over a year and a half ago and it has been driving excellent! They are the only ones I trust with my vehicles.

Folks this is not your father s AAMCO. Things have changed. After taking a family members Jeep to another shop and being told it was going to cost more than we expected we gave AAMCO a try.We were greeted nicely - but not that drooling super nice that raises suspicion. They looked at the Jeep and gave us a ring much sooner than expected. Told us the pricing and it was HALF of what the other shop was charging us, and they went the extra mile and checked out a leak and fixed it too.Nope - this is not your father s AAMCO, this is your favorite uncles.I hope to never need them again but if we do, we will be back.

I m calling to get a price on a complete rebuild on a transmission for 2011 Toyota Tundra, but for some reason they want to scare potential customers away by marketing a really high cost of repair. 5k plus to be exact, when other similar shops are in the 3400 to 3900. Even their same shop in the the east coast are giving me these types of prices. So why the big leap in price from Ft. Lauderdale to naples and ft. Myers. The guys in ft myers rather loose a potential client then try to assist in finding a solution. I guess the bottom line is the cash instead of customer relations.

I drive a 2007 Lincoln Town Car Limited, that needed to have the transmission replaced. Chad at AAMCO took excellent care of me. He was very patient, explanatory of what needed to be done, explained my options and was very competitive in pricing. What I really appreciated is that they offer a 12 month payment plan at no interest thruSYNCHRONY BANK. I highly recommend this business and will definitely use them in the future.

This is the only auto shop I ve been to, that actually showed me the problems I was having with my car. I d highly recommend anyone to Joey and Blake. They make you feel like family and are honest with you and will show you what the problem(s) are. They will also test drive your car if needed. I d give these men 11 stars if possible! Keep up the good work guys you really saved my life today!

Went to have a free computer scan and Blake was great! He went above and beyond taking the time to explain some things and answer all of my questions. He was nice, knowledgeable and most importantly, he didn't try to get me to pay for a service I didn't want, unlike others in this town. When I made the appointment I spoke with Joe who was also nice and said to come on down for the free computer scan.

Great customer service but I noticed they charged for a rim key and didn't leave it in the car. It wasn't a big deal but if you pay $17 bucks for it, you want it. They were quick, I won't complain too much because being in the city alone it definitely makes a difference. I'd still go to them if I needed work in the future. I just felt that it was a nuisance to go ask for the rim key.

Fantastic team. Initially I called many brake shops in town that we're ridiculously over priced. After I spoke with the owner or supervisor Mike, he gave me reasonable options to solve my problem. It was done right away and within my budget. The mechanics were also friendly. Mike even called me the next day check and ask how my car was keeping up. Great detail.

I am leaving a 3 star only because they were courteous and could have charged a lot more. With that being said, I went to Aamco to have my transmission fixed. They instead told me it was more than likely something else and not the transmission. I waited 2 weeks and paid almost $1,000.00 and my vehicle was still not fixed. At this point I was hurting on time, so I went to the local junk yard and pulled a transmission and put it in myself. 2 days and $160.00 later my vehicle was operational again because of me. Aamco did not do anything with my transmission, they put a used rear end in and now my emergency brake does not work at all because they did not adjust it after installing the rear end.Service: Transmission

My husband went up to the AAMCO on Fowler and met Joe...I think was his name. He was the owner. My husband was so impressed with Joe, and that is not easy to do. I have a 16 year old conversion van that I have treated like a baby. My brother told me that I better get the transmission checked bc it wasn't shifting properly. Joe took it for a test drive with a computer hooked up to the van and told us that everything was okay and we just needed $12 worth of transmission fluid. He even put the van up on the rack and checked for leaks. A Lot of other places would have probably estimated hundreds of dollars of work. Very Impressive!!

My vehicle was acting peculiar at 45 to 55 mph. We were worried that it may be a transmission. My husband took it to a transmission shop and was told that we needed a new transmission. A few days later I took it to Aamco on Fowler St in Ft Myers for a second opinion. They spent well over an hour test driving and running diagnostics and found no codes. They recommended using fuel injector cleaner. I did that and problem solved! It s nice to know there are still honest people in the business. I have told many people who will hopefully remember this and go to them for their auto repair needs.

I picked up a used transmission at the junk yard for my Expedition and the guys in this shop were amazing. Quick turnaround no BS and a job done perfectly. Stop looking for a place to repair your transmission - this place is second to none in quality, efficiency and price.

Worked with Chad - very easy going, pleasant. The shop got the truck done faster than anticipated. Super happy with their work. Thank you AAMCO for being professional in a world where good customer service is hard to come by.

Very honest excellent service. I took my 2003 GMC Envoy to them after several times of attempting to fix my transmission leak myself. They did a awesome job diagnosing the problem and fixing the issue. I would recommend any and all transmission issues to this AAMCO Transmission shop on Fowler Street excellent customer service excellent pricing

My wife was driving to Miami and our Lexus broke down. She was able to drive too this AAMCO who fixed the car in a professional manor. They advised her of the problem and gave an estimate. They provided her a rental vehicle while the repairs were being done at a reduced rate. She was able to continue her trip and able to pick the car up the next day upon her return. Upon completion the repairs were less than the estimate and it was a pleasure to have a repair shop exceed our expectations. I would highly recommend them.

Great work done at a great price. Mike was great and his staff did a great job and even stayed late to get the job done and my truck back to me on the same day. Hard to find reliable shops these days, so after this experience I will be using them in the future.

Chad did a superb job coordinating with the warranty company and the supplier when our transmission needed to be replaced. He kept us informed throughout the process and really went the extra mile for us. It was a pleasure doing business with Chad. He's a great part of the Aamco team!

I went to AMMCO on the advice of a friend. I have an older suv that was out of warranty. I took it to AAMCO and talked to Mike, the manager. He was very nice and explained all the possibilities that it could be. I know nothing about cars so this was helpful. He had me leave my car and had one of his guys give me a ride home. the next day he called and said my car was ready. thank goodness it was a minor problem and my bill was lower than I expected. They really could have taken me to the cleaners since I knew nothing about cars. thanks to all that worked on my car and many thanks to Mike that was honest and fair.Mike you should have your picture on your website.
