You AUTO SHOP here!!!Listen up people, Lawton s Auto Garage & Storage IS the place you need to take your vehicle for routine maintenance, emergencies, or unforeseen issues. For many years I ve gone to car repair places where as a woman they didn t see me, but instead saw $$$ signs. Not here! Now, for the last 5 years, Tony Russian has been my personal service consultant. He is a man of integrity that simply gives all available information and realistic expectations, so you can make an informed decision. He hasn t ever tried to persuade, convince or scare me into getting work done. He has put my best interest at the forefront. He has maintained that the most important goal is to get my vehicle back on the road. Anything other than what is absolutely necessary for the safe operation is secondary. Tony, at one point, even towed my vehicle to the shop when I was stranded without funds. He simply added the tow fee to my final bill. WOW! I didn t have roadside assistance, or AAA, at the time, BUT I had Tony.If you want to feel safe, relaxed and confident that you won t be hoodwinked, bamboozled, or bewitched, take your car to Layton s. Whether, it is under warranty or a hoopty (like mine), Tony will give you the same quality care and respect. Know that Layton s Auto Shop, is a longstanding family owned and operated business. They have adopted me with space to bring you too, into our family. Thanks Tony, you are the BEST!

If you're looking for an honest mechanic who will shoot you straight, this is the place. Tony is incredibly kind and knowledgable. I typically hate going to get my car serviced, but that's not he case with Layton's Garage. Highly recommend!

Brought my car in to Layton's Garage for the first time to do a simple oil Change and install 1 Drive belt and thats all, I even supplied the Factory belts from the dealer for them to make it easier for them and faster , so I brought in the car on a Monday at noon, Tuesday I call car not ready , Wednesday i call the car still not ready Hmmm it only a oil change and replace one belt , Thursday morning I called yes the car ready when i got there I ask why so long for the service he said well you know ??? Wow , Then he said by the way we couldn t install your belt we only install our aftermarket belts so all week with out a car for only a oil change , then I was quoted a estimate of $1,500 of work that i never ask for, they wanted to charge me $158.00 just to look at the brakes and I had front and rear brakes replaced about a month ago , I maintain my car very well it only a seasonal car , sorry I will never ever bring my car back at Layton's Garage , very lack of communication from Garage to Customer and very lack of experienced and Mechanical and Automotive knowledge I will never recommend this shop to anyone .

People care about you at Layton! I was so fortunate to pull into Layton s garage when my minivan started to overheat. It was the end of the business day, and, the garage was packed with cars but the mechanics at Layton took time to assess my overheating situation, fill my radiator with fluid and check for leaks so that I could get home safely. I cannot thank them enough, especially Tony!

Great shop to take what ever you drive to for service. They are an authorized installer of Jasper Engines and Transmissions. They stand behind these products with a 3 year/100,000 nation wide parts and labor warranty that can even transfer to the next owner if you sell your car.

I came here by recommendation of a neighbor. Best decision. I m usually attended to by Jeff at the front. The staff here is real nice. They helped me when I was in a pinch with a flat on Christmas Eve, what a blessing to have such a kind reliable neighborhood mechanic! This is the most reliable auto shop in Fort Lauderdale. Have been using them for quite a few years now. Very reasonable pricing. And most importantly they never push extra services for your car that are not needed. Highly recommend these guys for your auto service and repairs.

I called and I spoke to Jeff, he told me to bring my car in Monday morning. When I got there, the gentleman that checked me in, was confused, he said, "we don't usually work on cars that old" ( I have a 1985 Ford country squire ) I said," I spoke to Jeff, on Friday, he said to bring it in. Confusion dissipated immediately, he said, "well Jeff is the boss so I guess we're working on your car" Jeff went over and above the call of duty, I think we share a passion of vintage vehicles, and he was so kind, s informative, and helpful!! I think I found a new friend, not just a car repairman. I'll be back! Don't miss out, they are fair, they are reputable. They are honest.

Needed a quote on a repair for a 96 Impala SS and I had to call over a week later not including holiday weekend to find out that instead of ordering items I found on line that they would have to make them and charge $165 an hour at a minimum of 3-15 hours. Plus the other things that needed replacing. That I should be ready to spend $3,000 to $4,000 on a job that is more like a $2,000. I m a born native to local downtown Fort Lauderdale and I m very unhappy to pay $140? To get that kind of quote that I had to call them to get it. Good luck. I m out.Service: Electrical

I have had great experiences with Layton s. My dad use to handle my car related issues but I just moved to Fort Lauderdale. Layton s team has been very helpful in answering my many questions and educating me further. They also do not push additional services to get you to spend more. I cannot say enough positive things about Tony and his team at Layton s Garage. I m a young woman who knows nothing about how my car works (other than when it s not working, I need it fixed fast). Tony always takes the time to explain the repairs or preventative maintenance needed and makes sure I understand and agree to the repairs and the cost before he starts. In my seven years going to Layton s I ve never had a job go over budget or timeline. Every repair I ve had done has been able to be completed same day. They also can give you a ride to your office or back home if you live nearby.

So... my son's 185K miles Dodge truck did a funny thing and wouldn't give power to the engine above 10mph. Took it over to Layton's based on a great recommendation from someone in my office. It was late in the day so I left it overnight. Next morning Layton's began diagnosing the problem, but could not get it to replicate. So they kept it until the afternoon and tried again... still nothing.Here is where the fun begins. Instead of making up some bogus repair just to get $$$ from me, Larry won't charge me because there was nothing to fix. That kind of honesty and understanding of customer service is why a garage like Layton's gets loyal customers. I have found my new go-to place to service my Jeeps and the Dodge.Big thanks to Larry and the guys at Layton's!!!

Any customer's 3 criteria for auto work: good service; decent price; and for jobs to be done in a timely manner.Unfortunately, we can usually only get two of the three. Laytons Garage delivers on service and time. No question about it. The staff is also courteous and friendly. The caveat comes in their price. Labor is expensive and the markup on parts is more than 100%. Maybe you can offset this by ordering the parts yourself. However they let you know the price before they start repairs, so you can decide if to go ahead, or take your business elsewhere

This place is super amazing with the customer service as well as getting certified parts that have been remanufactured. Highly recommend working with this garage. They even handled issues with the adjuster.

My parents have trusted their cars to Layton's for 25+ years. So when the front tire on my car started going soft, I took it down to Layton's immediately. I had apparently picked up something in my tire, and they found it, dug it out, and had me up and running in less than 10 minutes, free of charge. Couldn't be happier with the experience. Thanks!

I live right behind their shop. One day coming home I actually drowned my car because of excessive rain that day. My car was stuck and had sucked a decent amount of water through the intake (enough to hydrolock), so I was about to let the insurance charge me my deductible and let them handle it.My neighbor advised me to go and ask Layton's to see if they could do anything about it. They rolled my car in their shop and in less than 2 hours my car was back up and running for less than half of what the insurance would have charged me!They were really friendly and they actually let me stand next to the mechanic as he was doing his magic (which most places don't allow anymore).I was really happy with the work and will definitely go back if something goes wrong ever again.

Great place to bring your car or truck. One of the only 2 garages In south Florida I will bring my truck to. Good guys, honest, quick top of the line work too! They call and go over prices and options before they do anything. Incredibly hard to find a garage like this one in south Florida let alone anywhere. I have a lifted diesel ram 2500 and I am SUPER paranoid about who does work on my truck. It's nice to leave your truck somewhere knowing they are going to get right to work on it asap. Any other place I've gone it ends up sitting for days with the guys giving me the run around. Won't deal with that crap anymore In south Florida. Horribly run businesses are a very common thing I come across in south Florida. I don't know if it's just me, but growing up in New England, I guess my business management standards are much higher then most in so flo!!! Haha

Fair prices for honest work. They informed me of what needed to be done and what they suggested me to do. They completed the work for the price we agreed to and in the time frame we agreed. What else can you ask for?

I decided to come here after going to my former garage for several years and recently not being happy the service here was amazing I feel the work they did was above average you feel like you walked into a place where you they're not going to try to screw you they're not cheap but they're not expensive and I think peace of mind and good work is certainly worth a premium

The repair was done correctly, However I was drastically overcharged for the parts provided. Upon further research I discovered Laytons marked up the parts over 150%. Do your homework before you do business with them.

This garage I have been going to for 20 years. I always have been instructed on what repairs are to be made and associated cost. If there are other potential problems they let me know where they are and if repair is needed now or at a later date.
