I picked up a rental car at the Jacksonville airport and went to Fernandina Beach. Almost immediately warning lights came on the dash showing low pressure in one of the tires. The rental car agency said I had to travel about 35 minutes one way to get repairs, or even replace it. I went to Sonya s because it was nearby and the technician adjusted the tire pressure in the three good tires and plugged the bad tire (it had a screw in it) at no charge. I highly recommend them.

While we were visiting Amelia Island for a week, our Honda began making a metal on metal squeak in the left front tire area. Our rental agent recommended we take our car to Sonya s. We re very glad that we took her advice. They got us in early the next day and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently, at a very reasonable price. We re grateful for being taken care of so effectively and thoughtfully.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Another awesome experience with Sonyas Tire and Automotive. Just had maintenance done perfectly but have to say I have tried to search for a better deal on tires for 20 years now. Nobody can beat them!

I can t thank this business enough for fitting me in for an appointment to look at my right rear wheel bearing. The mechanic, Marty, was very transparent on what needed to be replaced and he was on it immediately. Should I run into any automotive issues in the future, I will come here first. Thank you to the ladies at the front desk for being so nice and hospitable as well!5/5 recommend Sonya s!!

We had our Honda SUV towed here on a Sunday when they were closed. We were tourists and it just died. Next day, they learned we were out of towners and stranded. Did their best to replace alternator quickly and got us on our way. HUGE thanks to their staff. If you are stuck on Amelia, go there. Hands down the absolute BEST place in town to get your vehicle checked on / serviced. Professional employees who care and won t overcharge you for something or charge you for something that doesn t need to be done. July 27,2023 I had an appointment near Sonya's Tire & Automotive . My brake pedal went all the way down and I had to pump the pedal to stop. I asked if anyone at my appointment could recommend someone to look at my vehicle. They told me about Sonya's. When I called them they said they would be closing soon but come over and they would check my vehicle. They checked and told me what problem they could find with a quick look. I said I lived South of 295 and asked about driving back home. With the information from them about my problem I was able to safely head home. They were kind, helpful, knowledgeable and explained the problem to me. The next morning I took my vehicle to where I have it serviced. If I lived closer this is were I would go to have my vehicle worked on. Thank you Sonya's Tire & Automotive.

When I moved here everyone raved about Sonya s and told me that if I had any car problems to take it to Sonya s. I took my car there to get my rotors and brake pads replaced in September/October. Come May they told me I needed my rear rotors, brake pads, and emergency brakes replaced AGAIN. They replaced them free of charge because it was their mistake (which I appreciate greatly). But they called me to come pick it up when it was done and on my drive home my brakes locked up every time I stopped. I took it back and they said it must have just been a coincidence that the front brakes now also needed new rotors, calipers, and brake pads ($750). I decided to get a second opinion and took it to Buddy s in Yulee. Turns out Sonya s didn t even look at the front brakes when I took it the first time and must not have test driven it either. Because when I took it to Buddy s they found my rear rotors and emergency brakes were missing screws and bolts and were installed incorrectly. They also found that my hub was broken which ruined my speed sensors. Buddy s was kind enough to replace my front brake pads, rotors, calipers the hub and my speed sensors for cheaper then Sonya s quoted me and now after 6 months of going back and forth to a mechanic car finally drives like it should. I would not recommend Sonya's because apparently the bare minimum is the best they can do

This business deserves great things for their ability and desire to help people with their automobile issues!!! I had 2 tire issues and called Tire Kingdom, they said it would be the next day or 2 days later before they could help. I called Sonya s Tires and the lady said to just come by and pull up to the bay. They took care of both of my tires in a genuine, professional and and personable way. On. The. Spot!! 5 stars for a helping a stranger from out of town without hesitation, grief or red tape!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

So I took my truck there and told them to redo the whole exhaust from exhaust manifold back. They called and said it s done have me the price I said then you didn t do the whole thing. Also change the oil and make sure the check engine lights are off and fox whatever is making it go on. Also a sterling alignment. $2600 later they still hadn t fixed the exhaust and my sterling was worse and but they new I had to leave the state on a time line. As an experienced truck driver my truck was hard for me to drive because of how bad they messed it up. When I said something all they said was well they fired that mechanic but didn t offer to fix any part of my truck they messed up.Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

Not my first time at Sonya s and definitely not my last. Every time I bring my truck in for service or any minor issue (tire patch etc) they take the absolute best care of me! The ladies up front are welcoming and kind and they never try to up sell you on more than you need. As a lifelong local on this island I cannot recommend a better automotive shop than Sonya s, keep up the great work!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

If I could give them 6 stars I would!This morning I found I had a flat tire. According to the reviews, Sonya's was the place to go so off I went. The bays were full so a technician rolled a hand jack out to the parking lot. My tire was repaired and back on the car in 5 minutes. These folks are awesome!

This place was so wonderful to us and plugged our tire in no time at all. We had an emergency and were helped as soon as we got there. I would recommend Sonya s for all who need car services.

I went in and came out in 1/2 an hour for a simple but major repair. Others wanted over 2x more than I was charged.

I will not return to this facility. They are nice enough, but their techs are below average at best. They replaced the high pressure power steering hose on my classic car and the tech cross threaded the connection. I took it to another repair facility to fix their mistake. I just wanna say thank y all so much!!! I had a light bulb out in my vehicle and gotten pull over last night for it, I call around and was told they could do it and then not which wasn t very nice! I was all out of hope and starting stressing out cause I work this whole week and wouldn t be able to get it done! So I was seriously fed up! Than Sonya I was using the chat to talk with them and asked them and they yes they could do it and not charge if they didn t have to take anything apart, I told the two guys I use to do it and was very easy to me but couldn t do it anymore cause am pregnant. Jacob and the other guy was super helpful and Jacob did it!!! I was so relieve and didn t take long at all! Probably 20 mins for the caps to come off! Thank you so much Jacob you don t know how much that really meant to me! Also didn t get the other guys name but thank you too!! I appreciate y all so much! I had tires put on my sons car $1k. Next day noticed valve stem leaking. Tried to take it back up but they were closed due to holiday. Unfortunately, could not make it back up for a few weeks due to vacation. Returned explaining situation and got charged 70.00 dollars for stem because to much time had passed. Thanks sincerely former customer with three cars.As I stated i brought the car up but you guys were closed. Thanks for the discount!Service: Tires

Outstanding customer service coupled with knowledgeable, experienced mechanics forged my decision into making this my new automotive repair shop for any future needs I know I ll have. I had an issue with my Jeep and they nailed it. So thankful to know we found a great, honest shop at our new home.

Nice ladies told me about Wednesday special for women getting oil change. $10 off! There s also a great place to go for a walk while you re waiting. Take Nectarine to 15th St. Go south into Amelia Park. I took this route all the way to the post office and back. Lots of trees and shade along the way.

My car was fixed and it didn't break the bank so that's a good thing. I'd give 5 stars but was confused by the process. Dropped car off on Monday was told they would call with what was wrong. Waited no one called so I called a few days later. They said no one looked at it yet so waited the weekend and called on Monday to be told it was already fixed and had been done since last Wednesday. Like I said it was fixed so I'd go back again. Just would be good to know what is wrong first and get an estimate up front. Wonderful mechanics there.

My wife and I were traveling from Va and had a reservation on Amelia Island. About an hour out we started to loose air pressure in a back tire. We stopped and added air and got to the island. We immediately went to Sonya s and they immediately put my car on the lift. I knew my tires were on borrowed time and decided to replace them. They ordered the new tires and called us 1st thing in the morning and got us in. They knew we were trying to head out early so they gave us their best NASCAR pit crew effort and sent us on our way. The pricing was fair and the work was good. They went out of their way for us unlike any big chain around. Wish they were in my town!!!Service: Tires

I can t say how great Sonya s is. The staff is all professional and down to earth... I had an odd situation with my vehicle and it was there a week.. they tried everything to help me and when I exhausted all hope they were honest and truthful. They truly are somewhere you can go and trust. Every person there is sweet as can be and honest. Everyone is very knowledgeable and if they don t know will try to still not give up. It didn t work out with my vehicle but know that they really tried to help me and tell me when it was done... honest and swear I wouldn t go anywhere else if I needed to.
