We stayed in room #30 on 1/23/23. The room was reasonably clean. At some point, someone with limited construction skills started remodeling the room. The plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting work needs to be finished. The furnishings appear to be nearing the end of their life cycle. The staff we had contact with were polite, friendly, and helpful. The pool area is nice.

Rooms were new and decent. Walls are paper-thin. I ended up next to a couple celebrating their honeymoon so you can imagine how that played out. The hotel charged me twice for the same room and it has been a nightmare trying to get them to fix it. At first they were like, ok we'll take care of it and contact you back, but to my dismay they have ghosted me since. Two follow up attempts to contact them back and still no response. Patiently waited for 30 days and still nothing. Rooms are nice but service sucks in my opinion. There are a couple other options in the tiny city that provide excellent service...

This is the second time staying here in the last 9 months, the property has turned out amazing the service and employees are all top notchpeople . Hurricane Ian hit this little community very hard but the resilience of the town and hard work it is turning into a place we are thinking of moving to . Love the people places and the beauty of the Everglades. Planning on making another trip to Ivey House in June .Rooms: The rooms have been updatedNearby activities: Airboat ride , alligator shows , kayaking fishingWalkability: Very small town with everything in walking distance from Ivey HouseFood & drinks: Everglades City has an abundance of restaurants and all have great food.

This is the 4th year in a row we ve stayed here for the Python Challenge, rooms are extremely clean, staff is amazing!! Pool area is very well maintained! I would recommend The Ivey House to any of my friends and family, we came out of Big Cypress at 2:30 a.m. and realized we didn t have our key to get into our room. We called the emergency # and the front desk woman who checked us in, answered and rushed over to get us new keys.I wish I knew her name! She truly was our hero, Thank you! Wonderful place to stay!!!!!!!

We had a great stay at the Ivy House, great customer service from booking over the phone to accommodating our late arrival, to bringing us extra towels and having someone onsite to answer questions. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. There is a 24 hour gas station next door that was great for late night snacks. We would stay here again in the future. It's worth mentioning that this hotel has a couple different locations with different names, we stayed at the one called "Ivy House"Rooms: Full size fridge in suiteNearby activities: Airboat rides, wildlife, Big cypress swamp, Everglades national park, kayaking, fishing, etc.Safety: Very quiet and safe areaWalkability: You can walk to a 24 hour gas station, laundry room on site, airboat rides a few blocks away

I've only written a few reviews in my life, but the Ivey House suites merits one. We just stayed for two nights in a king suite and it was AMAZING. The staff were really friendly and exceptionally helpful. Every single aspect of the suite was incredibly well-thought-out. For instance, there was a table you could roll out from under the cupboards to have a seating area, and roll it back under for more general space. The couch and end table were comfy. The bathroom was fantastic and, again, really thoughtful -- sink, toilet, and shower in the spacious bathroom (rather than hotels that have the toilet and bathtub in the bathroom and the sink outside the bathroom so if you get up in the night or get up early you wake up anyone else in the room). There was plenty of cabinet top/cupboard top/countertop space for luggage and groceries -- and in our case, fishing gear. I know the hotel recently renovated, and I have no idea who did the room design/layout work, but they are a GENIUS. We stayed a couple nights later at a $350/night chain hotel in Naples, and it was one-star compared to the Ivey House suite.

Wife and I spent 2 nights here and it was very pleasant. Rooms were clean and organized. Being in a pool industry for 22 years, of course I checked the room air conditioner filters and found them to be clean. I also checked the filter on the dehumidifier and found it to be clean. Keep the dehumidifier on. You will need to empty it, as it gets full every 24 hours. Pool area was clean and the front desk was helpful. Definitely would go back.

We had room 32 so there was no one on either side of us which was nice. There was a room across the hall but we never heard a sound from them. The room had plenty of space for the 2 of us. The room could use some paint, and the way the bathroom door was it made it a little awkward. Other then that our room was good. They do have a dining room but they don't use it. You can't even get a cup of coffee down there. That was disappointing . If you are bringing your own fishing poles you might want to look into the River Wilderness to stay at. They have free kayaks and free bikes for the guests.

We stayed here on the off season so most of the town was shut down, but there were still a couple of open restaurants within walking distance. It's an excellence place to stay to have quick access to multiple trails and boardwalks in Cypress and the Everglades. The staff prepared an extremely helpful informational packet for surrounding trails and stops. It was great. The rooms were bigger than expected and clean. Excellent shower pressure. The pool is a nice touch! It was extremely quiet, but there weren't many people here at the moment. My one suggestion is to turn off the dehumidifier at night when you sleep, it was pumping a lot of hot air into the room.

Strangely, almost a good spot. Rooms clean and good sized. Repairs here and there are needed could use a little TLC. A quirky hotel in a quirkier town. Nice place that could be much better(Please fix the WIFI)

You have to check this place out!!!! The room were super clean, fresh, and safe. The staff revel the staff of a five star hotel they were so professional. It is located right in the middle of this great little town. It was really nice being able to have our boats in the parking lot right next to the hotel. I felt they were really safe and the parking lot was well lit. The town is so quaint were able to walk right down the street to get breakfast every morning and dinner on the water was amazing. There was bikes the we could have used but really there is no need we love walking. The pool was clean and the chairs looked new. Another great surprise was the pool was enclosed courtyard style so we could swim with no bugs at all. Whether fishing or just stay the night check this place out.

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The bathroom fixtures were dated. The curtains didn't quite cover the windows. Breakfast was mostly gone by the time we came down around 8:30am when the big tour groups were finishing to leave for the day. They were building a new addition that is supposed to complete spring 2020. It was nice for the area.

Ivey House, and Everglade City in general is a wonderful place. The people are the most welcoming friendliest bunch you'll meet. The hotel had a real adventure feeling to it, with wildlife all around. Geckos in the hall, ospreys flying outside, and kayak trips just over the road. The only let down is there's no food service at the hotel, but they do provide a map of local eateries with their opening times. We travelled from England to do a road trip of Florida, and this is our number 1 place to return to.

Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The shower heads need to be updated, they're old and don't work very well. Coin laundry was a little pricey considering the cost of the rooms. Pool area is fun, with an open air screen roof. Staff is friendly and eager to assist. The hotel is convenient to local kayak launches, airboat rides, and local dining opportunities.

The rooms looked a lot better online. Some of the rooms have random chairs with no desk and randomized furnature. I was staying with a bunch of friends and the TVs had either bad or ok quality, and the remotes dont work for certain parts of the TV in MY rooms interface. There was cable though. I was exited abd it was only 170 dollars a night but remember that you get what you pay for. My room was one of the better of my friends rooms so my photos don't really show how weird some of the rooms were. Sometimes the AC would also cut out in the middle of the night.

Deanna (the lady at the front desk at the time I showed up) was VERY nice, polite, hospitable, and helpful! She provided me with a lot of information on what to do in town, everything from what restaurants to go to to hiking trails! The room I got was very cheap yet I got a king sized bed in a very clean and nice room! One of the best cheap hotels I have been to in awhile! If I have any complaints to make it would just be that the wifi doesn t work and the toilet could have a more powerful flush. Besides those two things though my stay was pretty fantastic! They even have an adorable semi-outdoor pool between most of the rooms!

Adults only, so super quiet. Pool was nice but only open 1:30pm to 9pm. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and well kept. Pool towels are in room, so no need to beg for towels. Close to circle k store and island cafe restaurant. Great place, love how quiet it is.

The Ivey House was quite nice. It is clean and centrally located. It could use a bit of an update but has everything in the rooms you need. We played with our boys cards at the pool deck area. I would have liked it if they would have offered breakfast.
