EFC is the greatest and coolest bait n tackle shop around I ve seen MANY tackle shops and by far it s the best one I ve been too Jimmy has everything you need to go fishing and some.. highly recommended For a great day on the water

Great customer service the cashier gave us advice on where to stop and go once we got into the park. Store is very nice, clean and well organized. You can get snacks before you head into the park and get your bait.

Incredible tackle and bait shop/coffee shop/restaurant/gas station and the people working there were great. We stayed across the street and were there every day for 3 days. Highlight of my 9 year old daughter s trip was meeting Jimmy who was incredibly kind to her and gave her a couple EFC stickers which she s excited to show off! Hoping to book a charter someday with Jimmy.

Customer service is second to none. I accidentally ordered the wrong color boots and they corrected my mistake before shipment. I also purchased the dry bag which I am very happy with the quality. Thank you again Everglades fishing company and look forward to our next purchases.

What an incredible day we have in Everglades City fishing with Jimmie. We were completely mesmerized by the beauty of the 10,000 islands and even more so by the personal knowledge Jimmie has of the entire area. This was his playground as a child and the 4th generation in his family to call this area home, I can not image a better guide. Not to mention, we complete the Everglades Slam by catching snook, redfish and tarpon. I took so may photographs and as I review them now, none transfer the excitement and awe you feel being so close to the life in the mangroves. Truly a beautiful experience and we will most definitely be back.

Had to stop in where a popular You Tuber stops in, did the "been there done that, bought the T shirt", plenty of quality fishing gear and clothing accessories. Restaurant is open on the weekends.

Can t say enough good things about Capt. Jimmy and his crew! A+++ service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Huge selection of live and artificial baits that produce large numbers in the backcountry. Ms. Nellie s Caf� is mouthwatering gourmet to say the least! All around my favorite spot in the entire state. Been a customer for around 3 years and will be for life. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Everglades Fishing Company, EFC, is based in a convenience store in downtown Everglades City, Florida. There is a broad selection of fishing gear, clothing, food, and drinks at the EFC store. Over the years that I have been going to Everglades City, I have been impressed with the store products, the customer service when Arlene answers the phone, and the kindness that Jimmy Wheeler has shown me. After being impressed with the outstanding customer service, I booked a guided fishing trip with Jimmy. I wanted to learn more about navigating the waters around Everglades City, picking which artificial baits to use, and how to use some of those baits in the Everglades City area.I called to book the trip, discussed dates with an employee of EFC, and agreed on the date. A $900 check was sent to hold the date. Later an EFC employee called to confirm the date. My one-star review is based on what happened next. My friend and I were at the boat ramp at 7:30 to meet Jimmy. I waived at Jimmy from my truck. My boat was trailered behind the truck. When I walked up to Jimmy, the first thing he said was I did not know you have a boat. I am not guiding people that bring their boat to this area. My jaw was on the ground as he said this. My friend and I have used many fishing guides in the past, and this has never come up. My thought instantly was, why were not made aware of this rule when we booked, or when the trip was confirmed? This critical information was never shared, and it ruined our day and our trip. This information would have affected my decision, and saved the expenses associated with travel, food, lodging, time and taking time off work. Frustration understates our feelings!Jimmy told me he made this rule because some customers were marking his best fishing spots and would then use those spots during their time in the Everglades City area. In Jimmy s defense, he did offer to take us offshore fishing. My background is freshwater fishing. I have no knowledge of offshore fishing, and frankly I have no interest. Jimmy did suggest that he would consider taking my guest and I if we would leave our cell phones and watches at the lodge in Everglades City. Neither of us were willing to do this in case loved ones needed to contact us. Jimmy immediately called one of his employees, who refunded our $900 check.Honestly, I hope EFC has big success. I mean that. Over the years, as I have visited Everglade City, I have heard about the positive work that Jimmy and the company are doing for the community. I hope that continues.The lack of communication from EFC, however, through booking this fishing trip and then confirming it, was a costly error. Jimmy insinuated, that bringing our boat to Everglades City was somehow our fault, and while willing to refund the fee, seemed impervious to the expense and to the problems he created for us through his poor communication. All of this could have been easily avoided by clearly communicating the expectations when the trip was booked.

We ate at Nellies restaurant here today, the food was all homemade and AMAZING. Glenna helped us and let us taste all of the wonderful sauces they have to offer. We really appreciated the impeccable service and excellent menu. We will definitely be back when visiting Florida!

Really great food. The people were were very knowledgeable and willing to share local knowledge with a friendly smile. EFC is definitely the place to be in Everglades City. Highly recommended.

Now this was an all around great spot, Pulled up and ordered a FloBoy, grabbed a really good fishing lure they happened to have while I was waiting for my food, cool stuff in there. Now.... The Food..... Was amazing! I had the FloBoy and also a order of biscuits and gravy and both of them were out of this world amazing!! I will be going back regularly, And my waitress was the sweetest lady, she made the experience very welcoming.

I ordered a bathing suit from EFC, and it didn t fit right, I can t find the return policy anywhere online, I ve emailed and messaged them on Instagram weeks ago and haven t gotten any response, but they can t post on their story. Kinda annoying! Won t buy from here again

Always stop here in the morning for bait and a boat sandwich. Great people and an excellent selection on live and artificial bait. Grab a breakfast and coffee and hit the water.

Outstanding gas station with Rec 90 boat fuel. Very easy to pull in and out of with my trailer. Tackle shop had everything I would need for fishing locally. Captain Jimmy was nice enough to show me some hot areas for fishing today even though I didn t charter his boat. If I haven t eaten breakfast already I surely would eat at the little restaurant here because the food looked amazing I ll have to come back tomorrow with an empty belly.

Just moved back to Florida after twenty years in Colorado. Heard about EFC on YouTube. Just as advertised. Cool gear and top of the line fishing tackle. Got a couple of hats and some lures. Arlene and Glena treated me like I d never left. I m stopping by today for some more stuff. Top stop in Everglades City.
