Rick McNew is the best mechanic you will ever find! He is so knowledgeable and he will not recommend any service that is not necessary.He is the most honest professional in the Englewood, Fl area!

How these people got such a high Google review is beyond me. They have had my clients car to repair a window not going down since around April 2023, so almost 7 months. We were told the wrong part was ordered 3 times. How does that even happen? Finally the 4th time is a charm after waiting over 13 days for shipping through Fed Ex(I didn't even know shipping times that long even still existed). I found this information out through my persistent calling for a status by the way. No one called me to let me know the right part had finally arrived. This was on Monday Oct 23, I was told the car should be ready by Wed the 25th. Wednesday comes and goes I hear nothing back. Thursday all day I call only to get voicemail. Now it's Friday, I go to Costal in person only to find a sign in the door that says they will be closed from Friday the 27th to the 30. REALLY? Now I would like to add that my clients are coming back for the season very soon and are asking me every day if I have a status on their car they will need when they arrive. I don't have a lot of experience with mechanic shops but I do have a little with common sense and customer service and this whole situation just blows my mind. I would think any business that is open would have some level of professionalism and I don't see that in this situation. It's just ridiculous

I don't know where to begin...I normally don't take my car in to repair shops but with the nature of my repairs...I needed someone honest & with knowledge..Kelly and Rick are AWESOME...they fit me right in for my repair..and did a great job....I would highly recommend these guys...GREAT people...thanks guys.. Ryan and the crew at Coastal have become the go-to for mechanical work on my 40-year-old MGB. As others have noted, Coastal can be trusted. Trusted to do only what's needed, trusted to do it right, do it on time and at a fair price. Also, he knows his stuff.

I do not usually submit reviews, however I feel a passionate necessity to do so in this instance. Kelly and Rick are the Dream Team! Kelly is phenomenal as a Service Writer! Rick is the most thoughtful, thorough and speedy mechanic I have ever encountered. Unrivalled integrity and experience, Rick takes the time to explain everything in a simplified manner so that even a novice like myself, can grasp the content. He recently repaired my A/C after being without for the last 16 years! While I may not have heat, he solved the greatest obstacle, which was getting my A/C working, at a fraction of the cost for the "all or nothing" approach I was quoted many years ago, by a service person who didn't bother to offer any options. Who needs heat in SW Florida anyway?? I will continue to pamper and preserve my 21 year old Jeep for as long as possible with Rick, Kelly and Coastal Automotive! The very BEST AUTO REPAIR SHOP ever! Honest! Knowledgeable! Smart! Professional! Free coffee! If they can't fix it, they know who can and they'll even tell you and give you the phone number.

I had never used Coastal as a new resident of the area. They were recommended to me and they exceeded all of my expectations. They truly understand how to treat a customer. Friendly, professional fair service. Highly recommend!!! Thanks for everything Kelly.

Great repair shop. Clean, friendly and professional. Comfortable waiting area. It was almost like siting in my living room. There was zero pressure from the service advisor and the owner went over my estimate very well and I love the 2 year 24,000 mile nationwide warranty. I will be back for future repairs for sure.

Today I got a flat tire, not the worst thing that could happen but in my new to me vehicle, I didn t realize that I didn t have the needed tools to change the tire and was stuck with my 8 week old baby. Ryan and John came to my rescue and drove to me to help me at no charge! Made sure I was all set and then gave me a great price on a replacement tire! They will forever have my business! Thank you so much for going above and beyond!!!

Great place to being your car to get anything done at. Great techs who really know what they're doing and one if the nicest owners you could meet. Highly recommend!Wish I could out than 5 stars.

Coastal Automotive is no longer owned by Ryan and the new owners are not at all like him. I brought a vehicle in for repair and when I questioned the cost of the parts I was told that was the best they could do even though I saw it online for much less. After agreeing to get it repaired there as I needed the vehicle I called several local repair shops in the area and was quoted prices of half of what Coastal charged me and when I called to complain about it I got nothing but b.s. and when I told him I didn't want to hear it I was called an a hole. Great way to treat customers, I will never set foot in Coastal Automotive again.

I came across coastal automotive service when I needed help with my car in a pinch, they were so helpful, and professional.Now, Anytime that I need any minor, or major repairs I go to coastal automotive service... there quick,honest and most importantly trustworthy.For service that I can trust I go to coastal automotive service ...hands-down the best in town!

Front desk is very rude. Called to make an appointment for an estimate to repair my vehicle from a collision, I was told to just swing in. Came by 10 minutes before their lunch (I also take lunch at 12-1 so it s difficult to make it into a store that s closed during most normal lunchtimes and closes at 5) and was told that I couldn t get an estimate. I guess they re doing enough business that they don t want any other customers.

I recently took a BMW and Porche in for service. I purchased the BMW off of a website. The owner realized I had been taken for a ride and after one week didnt charge me a dime because he could not fix the car. The owner showed professionalism and ethics beyond measure.Additionally I took the porche in for a light. It was an h2 sensor. He didnt charge me for the quick look and told me it didnt have to be repaired. Most people would have charged for quick look and had me pay to fix.I would definitely recommend and trust this team.

Great place it is probably one of the very few honest mechanics you can bring your vehicle to. In fact just recently I brought my car in and it needed lots of work like 20 hours of labor and they did the job in less than 2 days so I would have my car for Christmas.

I took a BMW from another shop that had charged me over $2k. Ryan the owner worked on the car and after figuring out the car was more than likely damaged before I purchased beyond repair did not charge a dime to me.. he is the most ethical person and shop this town has ever seen. He works on Porche, BMW and domestic. His exact words was "I am not going to charge you because I have never had a car beat me." This is where you should bring all your auto work to.

Coastal automotive is honest and fair. And thats hard to find when it comes to mechanic shtoops. Ive had a couple things done and both times gave me a quote and if it was an easyier or cheaper job then initially thought they let me kno and put it on my bill. They could of easy charged me more but where honest and got the job done. Highly recomend! Great clean shop

This auto repair shop was wonderful. I thought I added too much oil and my check engine light was on. That checked all of that very quickly. The mechanic and receptionist were both great!

Fantastic I was backed into in a parking lot end of story lolEngelwood Collision is a fantastic place from the front desk and to ordering parts and scheduling the work I have to say 5 star . The worst shop I have ever been to the owners dont know a thing and are a waste of time be careful they are theives and way over price work sadly since the new owners took over this place has gone down hill fast!! DO NOT TRUST these people with your car. far to many times I have seen bad owners but never like this I am mind blown at how its even still open must be all the stealing from customers

I love this garage. Carol in the office is very friendly and the guys in the garage are very budget conscious for your repairs. They know most of us are on limited incomes. God Bless them.

Love these guys always fair know their stuff they don't fix whats not broken I trust them completely. Im a single woman but not naive about car repair they never try and smooze or hard sell I highly recommend them

If you want a honest mechanic shop, this is the only place to go in town that will not rip you off. Ryan and john will treat your vehicle as it were their own.

I took my Oldsmobile 442 for A/C and brake work. They are very detail oriented and professional. I highly recommend them.
