I took my Jeep in for new tires to include mount/ balance/ alignment and was extremely impressed by the entire staff at High Gear. The owner Thad helped me personally and the entire time made me feel like he was talking to a member of his own family. His kindness, honesty and frankness about the work was much appreciated and the work performed was outstanding.Great job by all involved and you have earned my highest recommendation to others!

I wouldn t go anywhere else. As a female client this company treats me right. They are as honest as the day is long and always treat me well. Several times they have gone above and beyond making sure my car is good to go! I have had many years of experience with them. Highly reccomended!

I took my truck to High Gear, to have my transmission looked at, and to get an estimate.Not only did they evaluate and give me a price on the transmission, they evaluated my entire truck, so I could decide if it was worth it to fix.They were very thorough, and explained everything! And they held true to their word, that it was a free estimate.This will be my go to repair shop! Thank you to Patrick, who was my service advisor!

Have been a customer here for several years and this business knocks it out of the park. Thad, one of the owners, did an extensive amount of work on my 2012 Ram 1500. Fantastic, top notch, are just a few words to describe my service,. First time customer, brought my car in for some AC service as it was not working correctly, but the day I was scheduled to bring it in it started working! Pat at the Sawyer location was such a nice man and so very professional. He explained to me what things could happen to the compressor and said keep driving it and if I have any more issues we know what it will be, upon checking he noticed my brakes and rotors were shot, I have been hearing a grinding noise recently, guess that was it ! I was very impressed with this auto repair shop, they will be my go to as moving to this area i never needed a mechanic, hands down they have my business. For anyone that s reading this, if you need a honest mechanic, High Gear is the place to go!! Services: Brakes, Air conditioning

Many thanks to Pat and his crew for fixing the extensive damage to the under carriage of my car following an accident. They worked with both the insurance co and myself to resolve all the problems.As always, I would and do recommend High Gear for honest, dependable work and prices.

I have tried a couple times to use this place because they are local. They make excuses and try to charge for work thats not needed. Cant say I will try in the future. They used to be better before they split up into 2 locations. I probably just need to go to the other location to get the service I was used to from this location. Today I was told they couldnt align my truck without hundreds of dollars of additional work. Took it to Port Charlotte and they aligned it while I waited. Drives Great! Stay Clear of Parts Changers and use only Real mechanics.

I travel over an hour to take my truck to these guys at high gear, they know what they re doing and they do great, honest work! Hard to find in mechanic shops now a days. I had a battery under warranty that failed, they got me in immediately even while they were slammed! Thankyou Luke and Collin!

As a new resident to Rotonda West, I did not know who to trust. I looked at the feedback and reviews of High Gear and was convinced that I needed to trust them. Great decision on my part. From the first phone call, I was greeted professionally by Karen and she was super nice in person. I was able to speak to her husband and he asked me to describe my issue. He called me personally and gave me his evaluation. I went with his recommendation and I am blown away by how amazing my truck is now. All of the issues are solved and the price was never changed once I agreed. I will recommend High Gear to everyone that asks and I will be bringing my other car back for some advice. Thanks everyone. My husband had a screw in the tire from the hurricane debris which caused a flat.He took into High Gear, Englewood for repair, they are so busy that they kept it to work on the next day. My husband went around there to see if it was done, and they had no power but Luke plugged the tire, filled with air, took off the donut tire and replaced the other one for my husband and would not take any money. Can you believe that? What a nice person, now we will go back for any other repairs.

I have a Mercedes C300 that has always been serviced at the dealership. Since I moved here and starting going to High Gear no more service needed from dealership. They handle everything from helping me with recommending brand new great riding tires to doing my full service on my car at a fraction of the dealer charges. Honest, friendly, helpful, courteous, quality service, punctual just a great team from office support to mechanics!! Just so happy we have such an awesome full service auto repair place right here in our area!!!!

Moved here 7 years ago. Having spent most of my life in the auto business before retiring, I can tell when you are not getting good quality service. After several experiences with local shops, High Gear was highly recommended to me. Words to describe the quality of service are : Friendly, Professional, Honesty, Straight forward talk, Competitive pricing, Total quality work. Lucky to have found High Gear.

They were great. They fit me in at the last minute. They took care of my vehicle. It had metal loose on the undercarriage and they checked my hybrid fan which I was told by the Toyota dealer that it was clogged and it just needed a little cleaning. The dealer quoted me $229.95. High gear charged me $20.Thanks so much!!!

This shop is top notch! If you are looking for a professional place this is your place. High Gear Automotive deserves the highest praise. They do a great job and stand behind their work to the utmost degree. We took our beloved Honda Pilot there on a recommendation from a friend, had about $1300.00 of work done, and we are extremely satisfied. We are confident High Gear is the best choice for us and plan on returning there for all our automotive servicing needs. Thad goes above and beyond to ensure his customers get the service they deserve and that his reputation remains the highest in the area. We have been using High Gear for 7 years now for all of our automotive repairs and maintenance. They are fair, honest, and do excellent work. When they find a problem they explain it to you and go over the options. They helped us when we bought a used car and provided guidance to my wife when she broke down on alligator alley. They were there for us when we needed them. We really trust them and their advice and recommend them to our friends all the time.

Years ago I managed a repair shop in a different state. I recently moved here and chose to take my car to Hi Gear based on reviews. My check engine light came on, so I took my car in. They quoted me a price for the repair. When they called to say the car was ready to be picked up they also said the cost of the repair was less than quoted due to it not taking as long to repair as they originally thought. I really appreciate the honesty. They are now the only place I will take my vehicles.

My 1998 Jeep Cherokee finally needed engine replacement, love my jeep. so opted to have new one installed. Not only did they replace engine, but replaced/repaired many other needed parts. I can't say enough how happy I am with the way she runs, like brand new. Thank You So Much.Also, must mention haven't had AC in 18years, now working to the point of freezing me out, great job guys, don't know how you did it.
