We have been looking for a travel trailer for a couple of years and have gone to several of the RV centers in our area. I cannot say enough about general RV and their service. From the moment you walk in the door, you can see friendly faces that are welcoming you and put you as the customer first! Jesus was our sales rep and did everything he could to help us make a deal and find the perfect trailer. Continued through our inspection of our trailer with Ryan, meeting one of the managers, Evan, who took care of a small issue! And also our liaison during the final phase Maya. Rick another sales manager also helped us with a minor issue and rectified it quickly. If you are looking for a place that puts their customers first, RV general is The place to go!

Great value pricing and excellent service. We got just what we were looking for a used class c Jayco RedHawk SE 22c with low mileage 11k, like new. We loved our turnover specialist that provided RV orientation sharing his 30 plus years of RV ing in North America. We got a great price, good quality, and good prices on the bumper to bumper extended warranty, tire and rim, along with interior and exterior extended warranty s at a great price too. We will use General RV again for sales, service, and parts. Great family owned growing company!

I bought a new camper from here in 2017. Over the years the trailer has some wear and tear. I brought it in because it had a leak and needed repairs. They set up to look at it and give me an estimate. While I was there I decided just to take a look at some pop up trailers. I checked a few out and found a used one I liked. The sales guy said lets see if we can't get you in this today. Make and even trade. He went and spoke with the sales manager and came back with a deal. He said the the pop up is worth 13,000 but because you're a previous customer, I'm gonna knock it down to 10,000. I'll give you 10,000 for your trailer. So all you have to pay is tax and tags and some fees but total is 2,800. I said lets do it. I signed all the paperwork, paid the 2800, they told me I could pick up the pop up Friday and I'd be able to get all the stuff out of my trailer. It was a done deal. I was so excited calling my friends letting them know what happened. Well then I get home and the phone rings. They said that because of the water damage on the trailer, they now couldn't do that deal unless I paid another $3000. That's bull. I told them no way. So they renigged on the deal now. Sad that they don't stand by a signed agreement.

Both dealerships in Jax and Tampa were great John and Chuck in Jax made this thing happen by getting the coach to Tampa. There Rick, Ryan, Eva and Ronnie Taylor took over and delivered a great experience.

The place is a joke. Tim the salesman, did his job! However, management and finance screwed me so bad. I told them I could use my credit union. They assured me that it was a good deal, and they could get it done. Well they didn't, after my credit was ran 7 times. They knew I had financing and td me they could get a better deal!! STAY AWAY!!!!!I got a deal on a newer model, cheaper and my credit union financed it!! DO BETTER!!!

I give high praises to Karen Black s due diligence in finally helping us get our missing cushions and utility bands for the rear of our Class C RV. It took almost 4 months to get this done. We went thru several sales and parts folks till we finally got with Karen and she was the only one who actually got this done in a timely manner. I loved working with Karen who delivers as promised, gives your request the highest of priorities, very good service and prompt email response updates. Karen epitomize what all parts managers should be. Karen kept me well informed during my order process and even checked afterwards to see that it was delivered as promised. I highly recommend to go to Karen and will certainly use her again. Fast and effortless much to my surprise, Karen had exactly what I needed and the turnaround exceptional. For the first few months dealing with your company to getting these two issues resolved gave us very little respect towards doing business at General RV until we got with Karen. Karen restored our faith and respect to doing business at General RV. Karen took extra time to help us get the right parts. You're lucky to have her as an employee.

DO NOT TRUST THE SALES/BUSINESS STAFF! I visited General RV Center in Dover FL (Tampa area) while on a trip to that area. After speaking with a very friendly sales rep, I expressed my interest in a Class A. I wanted to discuss purchase with my wife. Sales rep wanted a $5000 non-refundable deposit to hold it but I declined. After discussing with a manager, he said deposit would be refundable for 24 hours so I agreed. I then talked with Business Manager who again stated the deposit was refundable for 24 hours. After discussing with my wife we decided against purchase. I called sales rep well within the 24 hours to let him know and he acknowledged. I also called the main number and left a message for the Business Manager (he does not publish his direct number). Additionally, I followed up with an email to the Business Manager since I had not been able to speak directly to him.The deposit was charged to my credit card, so I called and emailed multiple times requesting information. All attempts were totally ignored, and I never received a response for almost 3 weeks - totally ghosted! I contested the charge on my credit card and called one more time. I was eventually transferred to the Business department after being told all 5 managers were either off that day or in a meeting, sales rep was off that day and business manager was no longer with the company. An individual finally answered. After discussing with him, he stated he would refund the deposit. The company apparently realized I was not going to give up and finally refunded the deposit.Very unprofessional behavior.

Amanda, my wife and I wanted to say again how happy we are with you as our service advisor. As we mentioned to you, we came down to Florida from Western Pa where we purchased our first unit from General RV in Canton, Ohio. We were very happy with the entire team in Ohio, both sales and service. When we traded that unit in on our new Heartland Sundance in Dover, Fl, we expected the same but General RV fell very short of our expectations. That is until you became our advisor. We hope that you stay with General RV for a long time. We will see you in a few weeks to have the "parts on order" installed. Thank you again. D and J.

My wife and I have been window shopping for class A s for a while. We had a checklist of features that we wanted in our ideal RV. The Windsport 29m checked all those boxes. These were the main features we were looking for.1. 31 ft or less. Our driveway is 32.2. Over the cab bunk3. Outside kitchen4. King size bedWe had found a Hurricane 31s at another dealer that checked all those boxes except the king bed. We made a deal with another dealer for this RV thinking we couldn t do better. On our way to see the 31s we saw a 2017 Windsport 29m available at general RVNicole Akers at General RV matched our deal on this nicer 2017 Windsport 29m with every feature we wanted, no long extended negotiations, 10 mins and we had an agreed upon price. We looked at a 2019 unit as well as a maybe one day we could afford this. Later that afternoon we asked Nicole to also get us a price on this unit.We had an agreed upon price in minutes, and the price was very reasonable. Note that I told her I need out the door pricing as I was paying cash and had a set amount available, she did not hesitate to agree to that.We agreed on the 2019 price and Nicole said she would make sure it was inspected and ready to go on the following Friday for our trip to the keys 1 week later.4 days before pickup she informed us that the inspection exposed a roof leak that could not be fixed until the week after our trip.Instead of telling us, too bad the repair will take too long to be ready for your trip , She then offered us the same price on a 2020 unit and promised pickup on the same day! This unit has to be transported from the Ocala location as well. She even came In on her day off to make sure everything got done!! And it did.Nicole was true to her word in every detail. The trade value given for of our trailer and tow vehicle were very reasonable, and in the end the out the door price was exactly as agreed upon. Not 1 cent more!!Nicole was also very helpful after the sale as well, even when busy at the RV show. She quickly responded to all texts and calls before and after the sale. I was in contact with her multiple times with questions and concerns and she even got the Thor representative to call me and discuss a few concerns. We just got back from our keys trip. We loved the RV so much! It is everything we wanted. Nicole made it easy and enjoyable to purchase! It is unheard of in todays world to have a salespeople with no high pressure tactics, no bait and switch, no hidden fees and real care for her customers.Nicole was the best. If you need an RV you should go see Nicole at General RV!!

Overall, like any dealership, the Sales department was great. Kudos to Tom Tree our salesman. He really went above and beyond to get us a Great deal! Unfortunately, once the sale was done, as we all know too often in dealerships, we had a negative experience with the sales service team. We ended up spending 2 FULL 8 hr days (over a waiting period of 5 days) in the waiting area for delivery and completion of our hitch install. Although we did have some GREAT people keeping us calm and hopeful for a better turn around time, specifically Maria, Christian, and Drew (manager) the experience was long, tiring, and could have been much better planned to minimize our wait time; in our opinion. Again, an overall great experience with General RV but there is room for improvement in the planning and delivery process. Thank you!

Had a wonderful experience with Sales Managers, Chris, Rick and their team here at General RV Centers, Dover, Florida. They addressed the few minor issues we had and bent over backwards to deliver us a perfect rv free of problems. We whole heartedly recommend their services. We traveled across the country to get the one RV that had everything we wanted and it was worth the trip!

I had a great experience with General RV. I initially was connected to Ethan in sales. Not only was he extremely professional, he was just a pleasure to work with. Ethan went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was seamless. Once we arrived to the Jacksonville location we were greeted with smiles and amazing customer service all around. All of our questions and concerns were handled in a timely manner. Ethan even followed up with me the day of my scheduled pick up and wished me a safe travel to pick up my camper. I found this to be exceptional customer service being that his job was complete and he did not have to continue contact with us. Once at the location, Travis was very knowledgeable about our unit and showing me the ins and outs. Everyone, from the internet sales team, to the in person sales team, to the demo team, the finance team, and the parts team, all showed top customer service that you just don t see regularly these days. I will forever recommend General RV and especially Ethan!

Nicole Akers was very proficient with her knowledge of the RV s we were looking at. If she wasn t sure of the details she knew were to get us the answers we needed. This lead us to buying our first RV. It s been an absolute enjoyable experience so far.

Purchased a travel trailer because we lost our home and everything in it during hurricane Ian. We were told they were going to replace the fabric on the awning with a new one prior to delivery. (1st photo) My wife and I never noticed the difference in width from the original fabric and the replacement until the first rain. (2nd and 3rd photo) The replacement does not even cover the entry to the two doors. Needless to say we get drenched when it s raining. Now after months of trying to get it resolved they are telling us we have to bring it in to the dealership. Which is two hours away. We have no way to transport it, that s why it was delivered when we purchased it. Nor should we have to incur that cost because of their error. Besides there are 3 of us and a dog living in the unit. They refuse to have a mobile RV service bring the fabric to our property and install it. Great customer service. Especially considering we lost our entire home and will be living in the unit a minimum of another 5 months.

I haven t even been at this dealership my friends bought in Ocala and say everything went great. I have called twice now first time April 4 and then April 11 to get a price from service to get sway bars placed on 2018 Jayco class C. Was told someone would call me I am still waiting. Was told at the time the wait to get service could be 6 weeks on my first call now I am sure we won t be able to get service due to us leaving Florida on May 30. just know I will not be going to Dover for anything. Now this is typical of rv service.

My husband and I have been looking at RVs for a little while, so we have stopped in before. We've had a few different experiences but today's was the BEST.Kareem Peters took us and my parents around. He was knowledgeable about the units and pointed out the main features. He had us laughing in-between RVs and was very personable. Highly recommend working with him.

Will never buy from GRV Dover Florida again.I bought a 27 RV travel trailer here. Inspected and was given the basic instructions etc. Took it home and I opened the slide to my surprise there was 3 cuts in linoleum in front of my fridge. I realized at that moment I was deceived. I realized that the slide wasn t fully opened at time of pick. Meaning if I leave the slide closed 3 from it full extension the cuts are covered. I was told that any problems with the RV I just call maintenance and they would repair it.Since I travel for business so much it took me after 4 attempts to just take vacation to drop it off. I reported about 12 issues. The cuts of course, speaker grill dent, roof leak, leak water rail outside, toilet leak, bathroom door frame loose, broken shelves support, heater cutting off and not turning on at 50 degrees, faulty breaks etc. They kept the camper FIVE MONTHS. I had to call 6 weeks in a roll to finally get someone to tell me my representative no longer worked there. So no one took over hrs cases, no manager gave he s projects to another representative . They totally dropped the ball on me and assuming others. Finally had a call stating all was fixed except the floor and the heater since they couldn t diagnose it since it was Florida hot weather. Manufacturer would not pay and was asked if I wanted to pay for it or claim insurance . Unbelievable after 5 months. Of course I said no.So after 5 1/2 months of paying internet, insurance, loan, and storage for a camper I didn t have I Picked it up. To my surprise, the gutter gap that cause a leak just outside the door was repaired with a bad job of caulk, not a new gutter replacement. toilet is still leaking, door frame never touched, speaker grill not replaced and I m in Ohio and guess what? Heater problems. Assuming is the thermostat. So NOPE NOPE NOPE, looking for a toy hauler now and will not even look at GRV even from the I-4 highway.

Our sales rep was Bailey and she was absolutely fantastic!!! We would 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone who wanted to purchase an RV! The process was easy, pricing was great, the staff was friendly, and communication was excellent. The only place to buy an RV! Thank you Bailey! We are so happy with our new 42VIEW and it wouldn t have been possible without General RV!

Worst experience ever. Sales department is a nightmare they don't even care about you or follow up with you or nothing after you sign paperwork. There is no communication at all between sales, financing or service department. We bought a brand new Travel Trailer 2024 and is being two months in service. We got it in November. We had a service rep that is no longer at General RV. The only thing I'm thankful for is for the new rep Amanda Alamo she definitely know about RVs and what she is doing. She should teach all sales and service department on how they should perform customer service. To safe you time, money and a really bad experience please buy your RVin another place.

Matt s RV review, Nicole A. Rachel, Ken (walk thru), Raphael and Ken (financial), technicians and parts and service has made this experience a good one and one to remember. When you have the right salesperson (Nicole A.) i believe it gets better from there. At times I forgot I was at a dealership, which is the preferred way to feel. Not rushed or compelled. Everyone is nice, but everyone has different personalities. I didn t stop at one and found the person that fit me best for a great deal to get done. I ll take this experience for the future, however when I m ready to purchase again I know what group I ll be reaching out to. Thank you.

Salesperson were eager to sell. We bought a Super C. The Service Department is absolutely horrible. Poor customer service. Incompetent personnel, never call you back. We have set up service appointment as directed by their department and our Super C sits 4 days in their service department and Nothing is fixed as ordered. No calls. Do not buy an RV from General RV Tampa if you are looking for good service department!!

Brought in our 2023 Voltage purchased at General for some warranty items, several. Went over a detailed list with the writer. Few days later I get a text camper is ready. I text back "is everything done". Response was "yes except ac and fresh water tank, they are backordered. Please pick up until they are ready". After being assured everything else was done took time off work to drive 1.5 hours to pick up. Get to the store and the camper is dead, batteries were left on. After charging with my truck due to writer letting me wait over an hour, I attach the camper to my truck to find water pouring from the underbelly, look under the camper and the pan was left unbolted and loose, but it was ready for me to drive home! After further inspection, they installed winegard for me but left off the included on off swith to stop data and power down, and shavings from cutting the roof to install on the floor. Get all the way home, take a closer look and they left the rear bathroom disassembled with the water line hanging. Also left the rear AC disassembled and parts laying on the bed. To add insult to injury shortly after getting home I get a robo call from them saying my parts are in, call to schedule repairs! after I just wasted half my day to deal with something that wasnt done! Terrible service, worst I have ever experienced! Will never go back and they can shove the parts, I will be notifying the manufacturer of the treatment I recieved and having a local mobile RV repair handle the warranty.

Dishonest crooks that tried to keep a $1,000 deposit on an new RV I intended to buy even though the sales agent said the deposit was refundable and wrote it on my receipt. Jared Jirau showed me an RV. I test drove it, made an offer, and it was accepted. They said they'd need a refundable deposit to hold the RV until delivery when I'd sign the paperwork. I waited around a week. They called me back and said my RV was ready for pickup. I live 3 hours away. I drove 3 hours do the delivery inspection on the RV and the pop up doesn't operate. They tried to sell me a brand new $100k RV that's broken. They knew the RV wasn't working correctly before they called me and wasted my time. They expected me to sign for a $100k loan with $900 a month payments and drive away with a RV that's broken and bring it back later to the service department for repair. It was pretty obvious they are just trying to sell as many RV's as possible with no regard for customers. I initially agreed to come back at a later date after they repaired the pop up to complete the purchase. The more I thought about the fact they wasted my time and tried to sell me something broken I decided against doing business with them. I called Jared to tell him I was cancelling my purchase and to refund my deposit. He tried to save the sale and close me on something else. Once he realized that wasn't going to happen and I requested my $1,000 deposit refunded he agreed. Multiple weeks went by and no refund for my deposit was issued. I called and left many messages for Jared asking for my refund as well as leaving multiple messages for the store manager. It was obvious they were not planning on refunding me my deposit. I called my bank and explained the situation and they had to reverse the charge for me to get my money back. Buyer beware. I would avoid doing business with this place.

I know people say this all the time but, in this case, it is really fitting. If I could leave a 0 rating, I would! Please don t make the same mistake that me and my family made by trusting General RV in Dover, FL to service your RV. I am not someone that gets frustrated with businesses and I try to give everyone a chance to do a good job but, I can t even begin to describe the complete lack of professionalism and customer support at this business. I really don t understand why businesses like this are still in business and more importantly, why General RV corporate (who claim to be family owned and operated and care about their customers) doesn t step in and make corrections. Reviews matter and an overall 3.6 star business google rating is extremely generous (more like a 2). I made the mistake of trusting this company with our RV for warranty work. Shame on me for not heeding the warning of others in their reviews.

Our experience started out great! We found a motor home we really liked and were excited to start our traveling journey but before we even signed the paperwork the nightmare began. Power steering pump went out on the brand new 2023 Newmar. It took over 3 weeks to get fixed and delivered to our home. As soon as we had it in our possession, we noticed several more issues with it and took it back to GRV where they said they would repair everything and get it back to us by the weekend. Another 2 weeks went by. Since then we have had it in the shop 2 more times. No one calls you back when they say they will. I escalated the issues to customer service but that didn't help. We even told them we wanted to return it and get our money back and was told that was not an option. GRV has so much opportunity to do better. It clearly starts with leadership, which they desperately need!

We recently bought our first RV and have gone to several shows over the years, finding the right fit for us and our family. We went to a show recently and met Ethan Brandt - he is very well informed, honest, helpful and a great pleasure to work with once we picked out the one we wanted we worked with Victor Rodriguez who handled our financing, he too took very good care of us. We met Howard at the show and then saw him again at General, he is very welcoming and helpful - also very well informed and a pleasure to work with -Once we picked it up - we worked with Tim Brown and Brian Parker, who got everything ready for us to take our new RV home.If you are in the market, then we suggest you seek them out and head to General RV in Dover - they will handle all your needs and help makes your dreams come true. It's like becoming part of the General Family - and I mean that sincerelyWe bought a 2021 Forrest River Salem 27RE - and its a perfect fit for us! Good Luck and Happy Camping!

The worst experience(s) all around. Sold us a POS. Warrant is crap, they wanted over $4k out of pocket to even look at it to determine if it was covered by warranty or not. Service department broke more than they fixed, and it took them 3 months to do that. Absolute worst company ever.
