THIS is the kind of small business we all need to support. Oscar and Jaime took great care of our vehicle and got us up and running. Honest and friendly, we really needed and appreciated that after having our vehicle towed in. They are the kind of mechanic everyone needs to have in their phone.

Oscar is an honest and fair mechanic, very professional. He bumped my car to the front of the line because he knew that I was in a time constraint,which he did not have to do. They did a great job on my brakes, they are like new.I highly recommend this shop and I will be coming here for ALL of my auto care services

If you have been so fortunate that you do not realize the struggle of trying to find a trustworthy mechanic in a new city, then hats off to you. If you have or are currently struggling, then look no further.Here's why you should come here, even if it's just for a second opinion.Finding Oscar through a referral was a huge sigh of relief- EXTREMELY knowledgeable - I came to Oscar with an odd noise that my car was making. He hopped in the driver's seat, had me sit in the passenger seat. I walked him through how the noise usually happens, and he actually LISTENED to me!!!! He immediately knew the issue.- Accurate and dependable - When it comes to price and time, what he always stands by what he says. (This is also an indication of knowledge and experience).- Loyalty - He may be in delray, but he still operates like a small town shop. He rewards loyalty and knows that trust goes both ways. He has such a refreshing take on running his business in this day and age, and it's evident that it's paying off for him. I've never seen his shop quiet even though he's buried behind a bunch of shops- Last but not least...Quality - Unlike most shops, He orders parts that help you avoid coming back to him.Unless I'm out of town or dealing with some EXTREMELY EXTENUATING circumstances that keep me from coming here, I'm not going to anyone else besides Oscar.

Oscar takes care of both my mother's cars. He is very fair and thinks of the customer first. I highly recommend him. Took in the GT and Oscar was all over it. I dropped it off the day before and he called me the next afternoon. Good quality work and he even shows you what went wrong, what parts he replaced, and won't mess with anything unless you ask him.

I have been traveling from Michigan and my car fan started turning on, then on high without turning off. Knowing this wasn't good as the car can overheat, I checked a few things myself (as I have a little experience and understanding with cars) Long story short I couldn't fix it on the road, and knew it needed to go into a shop. I called around and found Oscar's Auto Repair. Not only did he get my car in THAT day but he fixed it by the next day and replaced something in the car free of charge. Oscar had my car fixed a day before the other place in town could even take my car in to see it. Very grateful to Oscar and his exceptional team. Highly recommended. I also waited a few days to ensure that my car didn't start acting up (I've had that happen in the past) and everything is all good! Thank you Oscar & team.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I am surprised that another reviewer on here called Oscar a crook. In my experience he is anything but a crook. I always take my personal car to him after the dealership recommends all kinds of expensive nonsense and he not only tells me what actually needs to be done but he explains all of the stuff they recommended that is completely unnecessary. He also services all of my company vehicles and he goes the extra mile to find me the best deal on parts (and gives me a great rate on labor)! We have been using him for over 8 years with absolutely no complaints. Don't hesitate to bring your car here - honest mechanics are tough to find now a days, so when you find one, you keep him!

Can't say enough good things. Great service and integrity. Oscar went out of his way to keep costs down to save my wife and I money on an unexpected repair. We talked through options of new parts vs salvage parts and cost differences. Problem was fixed the first time. When we tried to tip him he refused. When we insisted he took the tip directly to his mechanics. Oscar will get all of our auto service business moving forward.

Last year (2014) the engine on my 2000 Ford Focus died. As usual, I took the car to the Ford dealership (Linton Blvd, Delray Beach, FL) nearby of where I live. By the way, I've been taking the car for all repairs and maintenance to that dealership since 2003, when I bought the Focus from them.Their estimate for the engine replacement came back as $5000 (rounding numbers). Since most of my neighbors take their cars to Oscar's Auto Repair, I decide to give it a try. Well, my original car engine had 130k miles on it. The result: Oscar recommended a 60k engine replacement from his trusted supplier with a 6-month factory guarantee, all for under $3000. I took him up on his offer. That's the best thing I did.A week later, I had my Focus back, running on a much younger engine! Today, (after almost a year) I could not be happier with the excellent service and the personalized attention of Don Oscar and his expert personnel.

Oster is fair in his prices and you know they couldn't get it the job every single time you bring the car to him. I wish I would have found him years ago I brought my car to him 3 times and he's been the best price and the best job and very honest is mechanic cares about what she does and informs you if there's any other issues with your vehicle without trying to push things that are not needed to be fixed on your car

I hate dealing with mechanics I don't know because they can be so corrupt and you have little recourse. Someone recommended Affordable Transmission so I went but they were lying to me so badly and with such a hard sell that I just took the car to Oscar's (because of the great reviews). Well sure enough, I gave him plenty of opportunity to take me to the cleaners but instead he got me all set up with a completely honest and professional price and service. I so missed my honest mechanic back in Alabama but now I've found a gem here in South Florida. He's got my business and my recommendation.

I had my transmission serviced over two years ago and had to come back to leave this review. The clutch has gone out before and last time the dealer replaced it. This time I used "Oscar's". We discussed how I intended to keep the old vehicle and he offered to put "performance" part in. I asked him to replace anything that looked suspicious so he basically did an overhaul.Two years later, I couldn't be happier. It still drives, shifts and performs very well. The Jeep is over 22 years old but I think it shifts better than the day I bought it. Shifting is smooth and the clutch is still nice and tight. It reminds me of driving a sports car. I highly recommend Oscar's particularly for treasured old vehicles you wish to keep around for a while.

I had been bringing my personal car to Oscar for approximately 20 years. It is the great customer attention and excellent service that keep me going back to Oscar Auto Repair. I know that I am driving a safe car when it is serviced by Oscar Auto Repair. I trust Oscar's work more than the dealer. Very reasonable cost for service.

Been going to Oscar's for 29 years, I remember it because I started taking my car there when the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. He was recommended to me by an old friend, Jim Trimboli. I've been a client of Oscar's auto repair for over 3 years where they service my 3 series BMW and Ford F150 pickup truck. I would highly recommend Oscar to anyone in need of a professional, honest, reliable, and experienced repair shop for any car or truck repair. As a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker and owner of a BMW you might understand my concerns when the 5 year warranty period expired and the costs of maintaining the BMW without the warranty. In all the years I've been driving (over 35 yrs) and all the bad experiences I've had with bad repairs, repairs that were made when not needed, and the overall feeling that every time my car broke down I would basically have to turn over my wallet due to the high and sometimes never ending repair costs, so I always felt like I was being held hostage with car repairs.Not the case with Oscar, who repairs what is needed, he will take time to show you the parts that broke and discuss what options are available so that you know you're being treated fairly. I've referred several friends to Oscars and I will continue to do this. For the first time in my life I've located a mechanic I feel I can trust and I know that he will do everything possible to take care of my issues in a fast, professional, and accurate manner. Oscar is a great mechanic. I have been taking my car, Toyota Solara, to his shop for about two years and I have always had great results. If you are looking for an honest and reliable mechanic shop, go to Oscar's Auto Repair.

The mechanics were able to diagnose the problems quickly for free, gave me a fair estimate, and was able to make the repairs and return the vechle to me as promised. The experience went well. I will recommend this business to anyone in the future.

One caveat is the limited availability for this place to accept repairs. Why? Because this is a small one man type operation you will be unable to easily get your vehicle serviced. This is a problem if you need your car in working order pronto. He is just to busy and has no time.

As others have pointed out you WILL NOT FIND a more honest mechanic than Oscar. I moved out of Delray Beach but if I need my car serviced again I'll travel to Oscar's! Thank you for you hard work!

Called to ask for a quote. Would not even quote the job. Apparently they are to good to spend 30 minutes out there day and press two ball joints into a control arm for a local guy. scumbags.

I really appreciate this company they picked up my car after it broke down on i75 stores my car for free over the week and it s all fixed not expensive at all and very happy with service.
