Chris.., is one of the best mechanic that one can find, he will talk you through your car price and its problems. I love his work, and he will work on my nissan Pathfinder for life.

Worst customer service from Chris that I have ever dealt with in my life. He spoke to me like I was ignorant and an inconvenience. Would not listen just over spoke me demanding I misrepresented my warranty information. All in all he is extremely rude, cocky, disrespectful, and arrogant. Would not recommend this Aamco to anyone!

Chris and his team are amazing! They are my go-to spot for mechanical repairs! If someone else keeps throwing parts at it, bring it to these guys, they will diagnose it properly, find the underlying problem and then they get approval for the repairs before they start throwing money on your vehicle. These people are great group of guys and I will ONLY be recommending this shop to people in the area. Thanks Chris! You take amazing care of us!

This place is over priced gives free estimates but I don't think thay check ur car out just want to do the most expensive fix I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

I would like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the guys at AAMCO Transmission in Deland , Fl.I AM ESPECIALLY GRATEFUL FOR BILLY AND CALVIN, WHO WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP ME WITH MY ISSUES ON MY 2004 FORD F150.THESE GUYS ROCK KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! I called one day and my vehicle was fixed within 24 hours! Chris was so very helpful. We did a test ride together. He was not just pleasant but I could tell he really cared about providing great service. After diagnosing the issue he was able to offer a few options so I could choose which one made the most sense for me. When picking up my vehicle I was able to interact with Richard and Chris both. Both again exceeded my expectations by being helpful to offer any answers to questions I had for them. They were quick to process the transaction in the most friendly manor. We are new to this area so I wasn't sure what to expect with this shop. Now I know if we need work on any of our vehicles in the future, we will always go to this Aamco location.Service: Exhaust

I am a single woman that has had bad experiences in the past with automotive repair shops. My car was making weird noises so I took it into the AAMCO in Deland. Chris the service manager diagnosed the problem and gave me a reasonable quote for repairs. They were the most friendly and easy people to work with. They explained to me what was wrong, and had my car fixed in a reasonable time. Great customer service experience!!! Thank you Chris and Rich!!! Service: General repairs & maintenance

I trust Chris and his knowledge of cars. He is very honest about what is going on with the vehicle. He is a very personable person and is kind. I trust Chris with my cars. He always has a parking lot full of cars, and the Yelp reviews do not give an accurate picture of how great this repair shop is with a hometown feel. I would absolutely recommend this mechanic.

I take my 1951 truck to the Deland shop. Chris has been a Godsend in keeping my truck running. Very knowledgeable, courteous, and honest. His crew is fantastic, and he often jumps in to get the job done. He is very caring, and takes the time to explain what needs to be done in a way that I can understand it. AAMCO helped me save $2500.I just read these other poor reviews and have to say that is the 180degree opposite of what I just experienced at AAMCO of DeLand. I took my Suburban in yesterday (10/29/18) about 10am, dropped the key with Chris and explained my transmission issue. He called me back about 3pm and said he diagnosed it with a very low level of fluid and a leak in the seal. I said Great, please fix and He called me today (10/30/18) at 9am and said it was ready for pick up. FANTASTIC! Runs great so far.What I told him as I paid my modest bill was that another local transmission shop told me that I needed a whole new transmission for $2500. I was very impressed with Chris and so far so good. Thank you.

Well when we found out our old van needed even more work than we thought, we had decided to get something newer with less issues. But when our other car broke on the same weekend, we went back and discussed the condition of the engine/transmission etc. We decided to go ahead and fix it. So Chris got it done in the specified time and we have a year warranty... I'm feeling blessed to have my old van back and happy with the shop and experience.

When my clutch went out in the middle of an intersection, the tow truck driver brought my car to AAMCO on Woodland Blvd. in Deland and I am SO fortunate that the driver chose this place. Since this happened after business hours and I am from out of town, I had to stay at a hotel. I was expecting to have to stay at the hotel for several days because I was certain that the mechanics were very busy and of course mine was the last car in that day. But boy, was I wrong. I received a phone call from Chris at AAMCO the very next morning. He said that my car would be ready that afternoon! Chris even had to order a part from Orlando, so I don't know how he repaired my clutch in such a short time, but he did. He said that he knew I was staying at a hotel and he wanted to get me home asap. Plus, his business picked me up at the hotel so that I wouldn't have to hire a taxi.So not only is Chris an excellent mechanic but he is a very thoughtful and considerate man as well and let's add honest to that, because the repair charge was very, very reasonable.Now when I change gears it's so smooth it's like slicing through butter, seriously. Unbelievable. Changing gears was NEVER like that, even when I first bought the car. Of course I am home now and this morning I just couldn't resist going out to the car and shifting the gears. I mean, not starting the car or going anywhere, just shifting the gears to make sure that I wasn't dreaming. Nope, I wasn't dreaming. It's a wonderful world. Thank you, Chris.Service: Transmission

I worked with Chris & Robbie, who were both great! I had just bought a used vehicle, and they went through the whole car (free of charge) top to bottom, and gave me a list of what needed to be done, and in order of importance, with pricing for each item on the list, so I could work the repair costs into my budget! It s my only vehicle, so I m unable to drop it off and pick it up later, so when I go in, they make sure to get me first in line, so I m in and out of there as soon as possible! I really enjoyed my experience with them, and they will continue to be my go to place, from now on! Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help!

If you want a mechanic that cares about your experience and cost, ask for Chris.. This Man had every opportunity to scam me as I have no clue as to how cars work, but instead he chose each time to fix my car at an extremely reasonable price and not add extra charges to my cost. I know this because I offered to pay more and he declined each time, telling me EXACTLY what it was my car needed and didn't need, advising me to bypass the bells and whistles with my older model Saturn Ion. He will be my mechanic for as long as he's in business. This is what you're looking for in car care... No cap!Service: Electrical repair

They did a professional job on my transmission with a quick turn around. I would recommend them for work on your vehicle. My old truck has +300K miles on the old transmission and she is back to excellent condition. She's still old, but driving good now thanks to Chris and his guys. Friendly professional service.

These guys are the best I have deal with. They fixed my transmission even when it give them a hard time because of the way Nissan made those CVTs, still they did the best and got it fixed. Then they fix my engine and no problem from there on. I definitely recommend those guys, and I will be back soon, my engine need some fixing again. Thank you for the hard work you done in my car.

Came in with my 1999 Honda Civic hatchback. Needed a new rear main seal an oilpan gasket. After the first day they had it apart and let me know that it needed a new clutch. Got the car back an everything was great till I noticed my oil consumption. Took it back here an Chris said it was the rear main leaking again. Everything is going to be done free of charge cause of the warranty. Thank you so much again Chris for all your help with my car. Will definitely be coming back here for all my repairs. Very honest an upfront person when it comes to repairs. Will not try to sell you something you so not need

I was referred to this AAMCO by my warranty company about 3 days after purchasing my used car. I walked in at 9am and told Chris that I heard a metallic clanking by my rear driver tire. He assessed the car, completed the warranty problem, completed the work and I was on my way to work within the hour. What mattered to me was that he didn t blow me off and make me wait days until he was ready to get to it. That has happened to me many times and I strongly felt that happened because I was a woman. I was truly impressed with the way I was treated here and I will continue to get boys of my vehicles serviced here.

Been taking my cars here for a few years now. Chris is one of the best mechanics I know, and he's surrounded by a team of great guys who do a stellar job. They care about you as a customer, and have always given me straight-forward advice about my car, with the intention of saving me money. Worth the drive from Orlando every time.

I would highly recommend Rich and his team of professionals for all of your automotive needs. From the moment you enter the shop, you re met with courtesy and respect. Their expertise and knowledge is clearly evident. The type of value added customer service displayed by the whole staff is very rare these days!

Stranded 100 miles from home in a 1967 Beetle, these guys came to the rescue and did a fan belt change for me minutes before closing on a Saturday with a smile. They even made sure all my tires were inflated properly. Friendly on the phone and in person. I had a wonderful customer service experience at this location and would recommend them to anyone who needs some auto work done. Most people won't touch my vintage car, these folks had no problem getting me back on the road and saved the day.

Exceptional Service specially when dealing with Chris. I'm really pleased with the fact that I can take my high performance vehicle to this shop. They put a lot of hard work and attention to detail when it comes to minor and major issues. I like how they get straight to the point with no BS and at the same time they educate you more.

Brought my truck in to have the transmission rebuilt by a reputable company. It was rebuilt to the tune of $2700. I asked about the extended warranty and was told it was a scam for Aamco to make more money and I should not buy it. I was also told that they had upgraded everything that needed to be upgraded and the transmission would outlast the truck. Now 2 years and 20,000 miles later I have no reverse due to a part they replaced failing. I was told it was bad luck and it does not normally happen, but they would be happy to put another transmission in for $2000 with a 3 year 50,000 mile warranty. I wanted to like this place. They are friendly and seemed honest. I have referred over $7000 in other work to them and even had them replace part of my A/C system for another $700. I wish I had taken my truck somewhere else. Not happy with Aamco and will not do business again.

Chris and his crew are the mechanics you are searching for. Disregard anything you may have heard about other Aamco stores. Chris and his guys put a new transmission, and rack and pinion in my 2002 Chey Silverado and now it drives like brand new. I took it to Illinois and back loaded had no problem whatsoever. True professional mechanics at this Aamco store, you can trust this guy and his crew with your life. I'm truly glad I did and you should also.

I had a great experience with AAMCO of Deland. They fixed my transmission and replaced the belly pan gasket on my F350 7.3 Diesel that was leaking badly. It now shifts wonderfully and does not leak a drop of oil. Thanks So much to Chris and all involved I really appreciate The great job that was done.

Under the guidance of Chris, the mechanics did a wonderful job on my old car. After being scammed in Michigan, I was ecstatic that I found AAMCO here in Deland. Chris was honest, did not try to con me into something I didn't need; I will be back to get more of my car fixed - by Chris and his team!!

Excellent service! The atmosphere of the Deland AAMCO establishment was extremely welcoming and trustworthy. I go to school in the area and wasn't sure where to get a simple repair and this place does it all! My car was taken in right on time and finished within 20 minutes. The staff was great and I couldn't have asked for a better service experience. Would highly recommend going here for any auto problems.
