HAND DOWN THE BEST!!! My daughter called me so scared on her way to school at 3pm. Her car was making a loud noise and started shacking. She is 20 and they re in Florida in College by herself. The closest mechanic shop was Shay s. I called them thinking with it being last min and so late in the day they probably couldn t look at her car. I was wrong I explained to them what was going on and he told me not to worry, have her come on if it was safe to do so and he would have one of his mechanics look at it for me. They were in the middle of working but took the time for her. I cant say how thankful I am. My daughter was scared and she said they was so nice and made her feel safe. They are amazing!!!! I will be having them do all my daughter s work when needed on her car.

This place is outstanding, the staff are extremely knowledgeable and very kind. I had a bad U joint on my rusty POS Toyota, and despite the fact that the entire drive line was basically more Rust than metal he was able to swap it out for me, and he did not even charge me additional labor or time beyond what he quoted me, despite the fact that it took longer than he had anticipated, and even required him cutting things out with a torch. , despite the fact that it took longer than he had anticipated and even required him cutting things out with a torch. on top of all of that, he gave me a ride home and had my truck done in only one day. I highly recommend Shay s Service for all of your car repair needs. I certainly will be a return customer.

I went on google and found this place a year ago and now I don't go anywhere else for my automotive needs. Great guys, reasonable prices, and every time Robert works on my car he makes sure to go into great detail so that I'm fully aware of the problem and solution to it. First just let me say how professional these guys are. When I took my vehicle in, not only did they do a proficient job at looking for the problem ...they also pulled me in and showed me exactly what the problem was. They took the time and explained to me what the problem was and got me the best price for fixing it. I am so grateful for Shay. Robert and Alex and how they got me driving asap and I've never felt more comfortable with a auto repair shop and I will continue to use this shop until they get tired of me. GREAT JOB GUYS !! Always dependable to fix your problems with your vehicle, I have personally gone to him numerous times on different occasions to fix my vehicles. My vehicle is always fixed in a timely manner cheaper than where I could get it anywhere else. Very pleasant, had parts with me I "thought" were needed to fix my AC, but he said system was just low. Checked for leaks and charged the ac system. Still working great. He's got my business!

If you haven't found this hidden gem you are missing out!! I called every auto mechanic in defuniak and the only two I could get to answer the phone was shay and Firestone, And when compared in price it was no competition! Absolutely the fastest I have ever got my car fixed by anyone! Highly recommend
