This is a small & well kept campground right off the highway next to I-10. The staff was friendly, facilities were incredibly clean and the campground as a whole is well taken care of. Lots of room at the park for kids to play, dog park with bags included and a good combination of both full & partial hook-ups. We will be staying again. Thank you to the staff for the great experience!

Cute little campground off Hwy 331 - 4 miles from I-10. Convenient location. Super clean with new restrooms-(wish my bathroom at home looked like that) remodeled restrooms at other building, new gameroom and work out room. Great pull thru sites in center of park. There is no office check-in - so you just drive up to your site when you arrive. Alittle noisy during day due to being so close to hwy but super quiet at night! Will be back!

Great campground! Very well maintained. The restrooms/showers are individual and very clean every day. I would recommend this campground/RV Resort highly!Nearby activities: Easy drive to area beaches and only about 6 miles off Interstate 10.

What a fantastic little place to over night or stay for a while. The location is excellent for the area. The place is so well appointed for a small park. The roads are clean and even. The real show case though were the bath houses and the "club house". The bath houses were very newly renovated and done in such pleasing style and very welcoming. The clubhouse was like a large combination living room and your teenage kids dream of a basement game room. Spacious, comfy furniture, a large screen tv, a few arcade games including a brand new air hockey table and a pool table. Just beautiful. Kudos to the owners. Also super easy "automatic check-in".

We were too late in the game to get a spot near the beaches, but this was an ok home base for our visiting purposes. They are in the process of adding really good upgrades like a game room, exercise room, a club room and a pool. None of that was finished while we were there but will make nice, needed amenities once complete. They do have a good playground and open space. The sites were fine, mostly large gravel and big pieces of blacktop in sand. Some trees in a few spots might be too low for some big rigs. It was quiet, we only spoke with one couple who left the day after we arrived (Sunday). There does not appear to be an age limit on RVs and I'd say most of the people there are long term residents. They have RV storage in the back of the park. A small highway runs along the entry side of the park so there is considerable road noise. Each site had a VERY LOW picnic table that would be difficult for older people to utilize, and an enclosed fire ring.DeFuniak Springs is a small town with lots of charm downtown and we have that a day of exploring, but we made the 30 minute drive almost everyday of our week long stay to Blue Mountain Beach and that was just lovely.

Hi , My wife and I stayed here in May of 2022. We had a great two weeks. The young man and young lady that takes care of the park were awsome and I didn't even use my shower because the bath house was great, CLEAN and HOT showers. We definitely will be back in 2023 . Oh yea nice and quiet .thank you to the young couple that ran the place. Y'all did a great job.

Just off I-10, easy to find. Small park and the customer service was great. The 50 amp was a little sketchy however they were quick to resolve the issue. Work out and game room, new amenities. Price was reasonable.

Sapphire Island has potential to be a nice campground. Right now it is sufficient for a stop along your trip, especially for the price.Pros: The section of sites we stayed in were large with trees for shade and plenty of room between RVs. There is a fenced in area for dogs to run off-leash, a large grassy area for children to run and play, and a nice little playground. They also have a volleyball net and horseshoes. It was quiet other than some highway noise (which we are used to personally, but may bother some). It is just minutes from shopping and restaurants. If you are camping with your dog Panama City Pier Park Dog Beach was only about 40 minutes away. Other public beaches are also less than an hour drive from here. And, though there were only 2 showers/restrooms, the bathhouse was very nice and clean. Though we didn't use it, there is a large pavilion and some nice deck chairs behind where the new office is being built.Cons General: The site says "Our friendly site host will come by and visit you and answer any questions and provided you with local information needed." No one ever came out. We never did see the camp host during our stay. They could use a new layer of gravel. Our spot was more dirt and crushed asphalt, which made a bit of a mess in the camper, but nothing a broom and vacuum couldn't fix. And, as I mentioned before, the road noise may be a problem to someone not used to it.Cons personal experience: Apparently they changed us to a different site than what we had booked, which is fine, but they didn't let us know. When we got there and found someone else in our booked spot, my husband called the number on the website to ask where we should go. The lady who answered was not friendly at all and made us sound dumb for asking. Of course, it could have just been an off day, or sometimes its hard to read people's emotions over the phone. But either way, we got our spot fairly quickly.I think once the new office and attached amenities get finished it will be a nice little place.

We stayed here for one night. Camp host Alyssa was friendly and accommodating. Nice, level, spacious site. Priced matched what we got. Close to I-10, but be warned if you exit off I-10 W, turning left onto 331 S is no small feat when towing a big fifth wheel. Considerable noise from 331, but not enough that it kept us up. Great little off-leash area for your pupper. Grounds are clearly well cared-for, site raked. Would stay again.

As many other reviewers have said, this isn't what I would call a 'resort' but they are well priced for what they currently offer. It is a good spot if you just need a break in your trip. They are developing the site for more amenities and it could be a great location once they are done. Currently there is no office and no extensive bathhouse. They have two unisex bath rooms that have a toilet, sink, and shower in each. The grounds are well maintained but it is a relatively small property so there's not a lot of room to walk around if you like to walk or bike where you park. It's off the side of a fast highway. Town amenities are 10-15 minutes north or south. The beach is about an hour away.

Needed advice on plumbing issue, but campsite thought I was a predator, I guess. It was raining, just trying to talk with someone who had RV experience. Just wanting to see how hook-ups were supposed to be done.Had attempted to go to office first, but sign indicated not open to public. All is well, RV technicians finally available.God knows how to accommodate and bless! Thank you, Jesus! My Savior and my example!

There are about 20 full hookup spaces here. We and two other campers ended up with water, electricity. Our space cost, $41.00. The TV reception was great. The name Paradise Island MAY lead you to believe they are on an island- not true. The "Resort" has a pet play area, a playground for children, and a net for volleyball or badminton. Don't get me wrong - the staff is very friendly. This appears to be a growing park. We had a nice quiet stay

Amazing campground! We will definitely be back. Campground is lovely and well kept up. The dog park is awesome. Our goldendoodle loved it. We also enjoyed the quiet campground itself. The shower house/bathrooms are absolutely beautiful. They are exceptionally clean compared to most campgrounds we have been to.

Wonderful campground. The bathrooms was clean. The camp host was very respectful. It a newly open campground that s growing. They have a nice playground. You can play horse shoe or volleyball. It is pet friendly and they even have a dog park for them. If you have any problem the camp host is always there to help you. They had a movie night with the camper. You never know when they may have an event going on that they invite campers to.

Been to a lot of camping parks and this is my top place! Very kid friendly, clean bathrooms and the free WiFi is a major plus. We had a short 10 min. Drive to a beautiful natural springs. John is the property manager and he is a great person very hands on with ensuring you have a great time! Even thinking about taking my wife who missed this trip back next weekend! Keep up the great work here!

This is our second extended stay at this RV park. It is small, grant you, but near several sizable cities and everything you could want is within 30 miles. The beaches near here are gorgeous, and one of the main reasons we stay at Sapphire Island! It is quiet, except for a small amount of noise from Hwy 331, but it is no more than many, many RV parks we have stayed at. The bathrooms are emaculate and cleaned/tidied several times a day. We know this because we see the camp hosts working throughout the day. They live onsite, and the husband, David, we discovered is a certified RV tech. We have had several problems with our RV, (who doesn't?)and he as always been able to work us in. The sites are clean, and I think each one has a fire ring, which is very nice. I can't say enough. If you're passing through the panhandle, this is a great place to stop!!

Very nice well kept campground. Hosts are friendly and are available for any help. Dave (host) is an RV tech and can help with any RV problem. Brenda (host) greatly helped out with reservation conflicts and can resolve any camping problems. Has dog park for your canine companions- just a small area for them to run around a bit. They are building a new office/entertainment/laundry facility--TBA when it will open. Very clean restroom/bathhouse facilities. They have WiFi- but no cable. Would recommend to anyone.

Cute, small RV park along US 331 and I-10, a great base for a day or two of exploring the area. They get all the basics right: clean, spacious, level gravel pull-throughs, stuff worked, bathrooms nice, etc. Industrial-strength wifi (40 Mb/sec). Other than background highway noise, the camp itself is quiet. We'll probably stay again at some point.

Sapphire island has great potential. The are was open and clean. We could navigate the ground fairly easily, aside from the cones blocking what i cod assume was a path out. Currently, we just felt mislead from the website to the actual grounds (beach views, resort like amenities and the premise that each site had full hookups) ..not quite. The host was friendly, and they did have a nice playground and a dog run available. Its close (about 20 minutes) to 3 springs, so we would go again in the future.

We are full time RVers and travel all over USA . I depend on what people say in the reviews to pick the best spot. First of all this is not a RV resort. This is a campground. All the roads are sand with a little gravel. The dog park is sand and weeds. They do have a nice kids play ground and beautiful trees. It is quiet. There is not an office. The lady in the tent on the right hand side when you drive in is where you check in. Reviews said she was friendly. We are from south Texas we know what friendly is.I'm sorry to have to leave a negative review, but again I depend on reviews and would not have stayed here.
