I bought a car from this place on 12/22/23 knowing it needed a few things like tires and the heat was not working. After getting it home I discovered an oil leak and a knock in the engine. I do not like close to this place. So I took the car to several places who would not even look at it and they said i had to take it to Honda. The guy at Honda said that the engine had been taken apart and not put back together properly and that he was not even sure how it was running. I called Debary auto and spoke to Keith the owner who basically told me they did fix the head gasket prior to selling it to me but he would not be able to help me if I got it fixed at Honda but could possibly help me with the oil leak that was also going on. The car was already at Honda being repaired. So I kept him updated gave him the quote from Honda for the oil leak and also got a quote from a local smaller shop who I had completely rediagnose the issue. Both places came up with the same thing. This was all things he asked for as he knew I did not live close. I finally got an email back from him that the only thing he could do for me was to come back down there and have his people work on it but I would have to pay $695 to do it. At one point he was very open to helping me figure out the problem. He even offered to switch out the car with a similar car on the lot. I know I bought a used car but I feel that they did bad work on a known issue with the car and it has now cost me thousands of dollars. If this place of business is as reputable as they say they are they would have reimbursed me some portion of what I have had to pay in repairs on a car that I have only owned for a very short time before this all started. The car was not worth what they sold it to me for.

My son bought a 2010 Hyundai Santa FeThe car was in very good condition and everything went great from the test drive and Karen the sales person we negotiated a good deal and we bought the carWhat I really love about this place is that there was never any pressure and we took the car for a good test driveKaren thank you so much for your helpI will definitely buy another car from you guys again when the time arises

We just happened to stop by this little place in search of the right car. Well we found one!My overall experience was great. Chris was upfront, honest and very courteous and I feel we made a great decision buying here.She gave us a great deal without any hassle saving us even more $Oh and a new face sticker for my other car!

2.5 stars would be my rating of Debary Family AutoIt s a horrible time to have to buy a vehicle. Unfortunately, we were in a situation that we had to purchase a vehicle. After weeks of searching, we believed our best deal was at DeBary Family Auto (DFA). We purchased a 2010 Toyota Corolla, 165,000 miles. Sadly, there were some hidden problems. DFA suggested the shaking on the highway was due to a wheel imbalance. Turned out to be a bent axle. We also discovered that DFA s detail man destroyed the rear defrost while removing window tint. DFA claimed they could fix the axle for $300. It cost $650. Their fix for the rear defrost, which they were responsible for destroying, can only be truly fixed by replacing the rear window, $400 approximate cost. DFA was only willing to reimburse us $85 claiming a window sticker was as good as a rear window replacement. Considering their emplyee ruined the rear defrost, more of a compensation was expected. It also needed brakes, driver side visor, rear brake light, and roof runner replacement strips. The $6900 purchase had a final cost of over $9200. Not a great deal all things consider. And Keith, the manager/owner, made us beg for the $285 total reimbursement. Yes, it s a used car. It s a shame, though, DFA doesn t stand behind their vehicles. We give DFA a grade of C-. Average because at the end of the deal there was nothing above average to write about. Buyer beware. Know that if you find issues, there is not going back!

We purchased a car from them and thus far no problems. Still waiting on the plate, however we took the car everywhere, we live an hour away and made several trips to visit family that live near them. No issues. They let us take the car for a test drive and let us fully inspect the vehicle while it was on the lot. (What i can say to the negative posts about the electrical tape on dash and all that, do your due diligence and don't buy a vehicle with electrical tape on the dash, or don't buy a used vehicle if you have no knowledge on cars)Now, I'm not saying the car is perfect, we had it for just under a month now. But it seems good and reliable.

This is the worst place to purchase a vehicle from in Volusia county Florida. They sold my son a car with a bad master cylinder and bad brakes that no mechanic would ever let leave their shop and insisted that they had the car inspected by a mechanic. Which I might add the charge for a inspection on the sale of a vehicle. When I questioning the saleswoman she told me that she tested the car herself and it drove fine . when I told her the master cylinder was bad because the pedal was hitting the floor her answer was "How do you think that happened!" I really hope they read these reviews and I also hope that it helps you decide not to ever step foot in this rip-off car lot they sell nothing but junk so keep your money in your pocket and keep on driving out of town to the next dealership because this is not a dealership it's a broken down car lot. This was the worst experience for a new driver that could ever happen he had his license one day and experienced brake failure and the Dealer at first didn't even want to hear about giving him his money back in fact it seemed like she didn't want to do anything at all until I pressed the safety issue. Hope this helps so that no one makes the same mistake my son made.

Will not negotiate price even when multiple things are wrong with vehicle. The cars are already twice their value in price and I only asked for 900 off to fix the leak, motor mounts , old battery and radio issue.

I just stopped by to see a car i have been seeing while driving by that I am very interested in. The lady working there came out to see me within minutes and gave me the keys to try the car. I was very impressed that the car had not only a very informative sales form but also a car fax was there with the complete history of the car. I will be returning to purchase this car and look forward to working further with this kind and informative lady.

I recommend this place! they have good cars on their lot, even with car faxes! I looked around all their vehicles and found nothing wrong. They have great prices and their customer service, Beyond awesome! I did my research on the car I was interested in , took my boyfriend to help as well, checked the vehicle inside, outside and even underneath it Test drove it for a while, etc., (something that everyone should do when purchasing a "used" car) . Mint condition! I bought my car all cash with a car fax worth less than 4k on Memorial weekend and thank God no issues whatsoever! Don't need to say more... Looove it! Thanks Debary Family Auto... me and my family are driving secured and in a safe very well maintained vehicle!!!!

This business owner has no integrity whatsoever. My girlfriend purchased a car from them and within three days the car was broken down needing over $300 worth of repairs they repetitively said that this car was a reliable car. They saw a woman that didn't know cars coming and knew they could get over on her. Only days after owning it needed this much in repairs is a little odd. So when we spoke to them about it they refuse to do anything and told me it was sold as is and they had no issues with it while they were driving it all over from Orlando to Daytona. Do any one you know a favor and don't let them buy a car from this dealership . All he had to do was offer to split the cost and we would have been satisfied. I get that was "as is" but stand behind your products.

It was a fantastic experience. They treated me like family. The selection was great and the prices were way below the other car dealers in the area. Kris the manager was very friendly and easy to talk to. It was a easy simple buying experience. Ill be back!!!

These people are by far the most honest I have met in the auto sales industry, I bought a used car yesterday from them, I don't think I could've found a better place, they have a great selection of cars that are reasonably prices, they were respectful, Thank you for honesty and kindness.

I heard good things about this place...So, I bought a car for my son, a couple months ago...The tires were completely rotted and fell apart. The hubcaps were zip-tied to the tires! The lighter and windows quit working. And, it has an oil leak. I will NEVER buy from this place, again!!!

I spent $3000 on a car for it to need a new engine the following month these people are crooks they put a black piece of tape over the check engine light and claimed they didnt do it but they also claimed the car only had one owner and the bosses friend owned the car and traded it in..... THEY DID NOTHING TO MAKE IT RIGHT ..... THEY DID NOT CARE THAT THEY SCREWED OVER A YOUNG PREGNANT LADY!!!!! this place gets no stars they make you click at least one to post a comment.

This dealership is known for wiping engine codes before vehicle sale. "Rigging" automotive parts to function, as opposed to actually fixing the issue. Buy a car here and ill bet a hundred dollars by the end of the week your dash looks like christmas in july. Do as you please but as a friendly heads up avoid this dealer at all costs before it costs.
