Whoever is ready this. Read this review THOROUGHLY!I 100% recommend you go to On The Call Mechanics.I have a 2014 Ford Fusion and my check engine light came on. Auto zone states it was a fuel pump. My previous mechanic informed me it was an o2 sensor which he took care of but my check engine light still came on.I felt my car was jumping while I be driving. I did my research on a new mechanic and found On Call Mechanics by reading a similar scenario and vehicle. I got in touch with Lowell and informed him about my vehicle s issue. I took my vehicle to his shop one weekend. He did a diagnostic and a test drive. I only needed spark plugs.Also, he informed me about a leak under my hood. (Please see before and after photos) He pressured clean my engine to find out where the leak is coming from. I have a leak coming from my vacuum pump and coolant. (Remind you i had a mechanic. Nobody informed me.) I have been driving my vehicle for I don t know how long with this leak. Informed me that I need rear brakes.Lowell is the most reliable and trustworthy mechanic you will ever meet. His diagnostic is 100% helpful. He will informed you the issue currently and what you will have in the future.

I have a 2016 Ford Fusion that has been giving an error message for misfiring for over six months. I brought the car first to Margate Ford. Then, I tried to get a resolution at an independent shop who then sent me to Plantation Ford. I spent over $2,000 trying to fix the car before bringing it to Lowell at On Call Mechanics. Mr. Gelin was the only technician who cared enough to figure the issue out. He is thorough and transparent, a rarity in the mechanic business.I am grateful to have found Lowell and On Call Mechanics. If you have something going on with your car that no one else can figure out, bring your car to him. He will figure it out and charge a reasonable rate!

I called On Call Mechanics for help with a car situation best described as lose-lose. I spent the next 45 minutes on the phone with Lowell, who patiently advised me on the various options, none of them great, that I had before me. He did this all while advising me to have another mechanic do the work. He is obviously a caring, honest human being who knows what he's doing. Thank you again, Lowell--and update to you: turns out I had GAP insurance! Problem solved.

Highly recommend On Call Mechanics. Took my vehicle in on short notice before a long drive from FL to MI. On Call got a specialist in to confirm their diagnostic and had parts delivered, installed, and ready to go within a few days. Lowell and his guys are as honest and trustworthy as they come. They even took me in the shop to show me exactly which parts were needing repair with a thorough explanation of why. Lowell even reached out weeks after to make sure my trip went smoothly following necessary repairs. If you are looking for an honest, professional, and reliable mechanic around town, Lowell is the right guy for you. From the very beginning, he took his time to listen to my concerns, and worked with me throughout the entire process. Unlike most mechanics in South Florida who want to take your money, Lowell dedicated his time to find the most cost efficient solution for my needs. He won t let you go until you are completely satisfied with his work, believe me. Great job on repairing my GT86 engine!

I was looking for someone to work on my car while I was out of town and I was surprised that I found Lowell just in time before I had to leave. He was extremely honest and straight forward with me on everything. We both did a full run down of every issue and possible cause and fix, he took his time to listen to my concerns, and worked with me throughout the entire process. Quality work for sure.

Took my car in believing that my alternator had gone out and was expecting a hefty price tag. Lowell was an awesome guy who made me feel comfortable and explained as much as he could about the different possibilities not just the alternator. It turned out that my battery connector were severely corroded and needed to be replaced. He put on some replacements which I happened to have and he didn't charge me a thing. No trick no gimmicks this guy knows his stuff and won't make you feel like you're getting the run around. I was up and running in the matter of about a half an hour. I will always bring my car back here for repairs.

My 2015 RV parked in a storage facility had a starting problem. Found Lowell on the web. He was adamant about not wanting to come service it because he didn't want me to have to pay for something that was still under factory warranty. Logic dictates that if it doesn't start, you can't drive it to the dealer. After several minutes going back and forth on the phone, he relented and met me at the site. Best thing that happened to me that day as I met a dedicated, capable and honest mechanic with a most pleasant smile and personality. An extremely rare find. Made me feel like we knew each other a long time. He is now our permanent family mechanic. Highly recommended. D.

I found Lowell by just googling for a mechanic in the area when my AC went out. I'd done as much self diagnosis as I could, and was fairly convinced that I'd need a new AC compressor, so I'd prepared myself for a thousand dollar repair. He took his time diagnosing the issue, and it turned out all that I needed was a new fuse, which I'd overlooked when trying to fix it myself. The whole fix cost me under a hundred dollars, including flushing and refilling the refrigerant. He could have easily told me I needed a new compressor, and made a lot more money off of it, but Lowell is an honest guy. 100% going back next time anything goes wrong with my car

Informative and very professional mechanic. I bought a new car in the area, and Lowell took the time to walk me through an entire pre-purchase inspection. He explained each thing he was checking, and why each test result was good or bad. I'm new to the area, but definitely intend to use On Call Mechanics from now on. I trust them completely to do a great job, and always shoot me straight.

I came here because of the amount of good reviews I read, boy was I wrong. He talked down to me and treated me like I was just a dumb girl. He had my car for two days for no reason that he didn t explain and refused to give me any information as to what work he did on my car. I also had to pick up my car from another shop because he didn t want to give it to me and failed to inform me that he wasn t going to be present for when we had agreed for me to pick up my car. He tried shoving his beliefs of becoming a vegan and atheist down my throat and i was so uncomfortable, i had to leave. Not to mention he also flicked me off for having an iPhone. He was incredibly unprofessional, and made me feel very uncomfortable in the shop. I do not recommend it.

Calling my brakes "spongy" was probably being nice about how bad they were. Despite the fact that I am capable of doing many car repairs on my own, I'm older and lazier now so it was time to Google-a-Pro.I wanted something close to where I work, and OnCallMech's came up. I called, and talked to the owner Lowell. Awesome energy right off the bat with him. Intelligent str8 talker...told me to bring my ailing Honda in right away.This guy is not your typical mechanic. Don't get me wrong, I love my wrench turners. I was one and have been married to one for a few decades. But Lowell had the peppermint EO vaping out of a chill mister in his office as he was talking to me. Edgy Philosopher who knows his cars.Ok, moving on now...left the car with him. He got me a quote by the end of the day (I wasn't in a hurry) along with video of the issue available on whatapp (he's totally hooked in tech wise). I approved the work order, and he completed it within a timely manner.When I picked up my car, he had also detailed it with a wash & vacuum. He also went over my 10+ year old honda, and told me a couple fixes I needed to have done soon.All good. I'll be taking my vehicle back for needed and unforeseen repairs in the future.

The absolute best experience you can have at a mechanic. He explains the causes, and gives tips about future prevention of the issue being repaired. His passion for customer service is unparalleled. I will only use him for all of my vehicles services. Truly a testament to what an honest mechanic should be.

Consummate Professional! My 2004 SUV is in excellent condition due to the regular and routine maintenance of Lowell and On Call Mechanics. He is not only knowledgeable, but extremely ethical. First class and 5 star rating.
