Eric and Roy used to work with me quite some time back. When I took my car there and wanted my power steering pump replaced he knew to not to ask why. While I was waiting for Eric to arrive (he was towing a customer and vehicle in with his personal vehicle) Roy looked at my son's car because the engine had a misfire. By the time my car was checked in Roy had diagnosed, ordered the parts and had my son's car repaired and ready for my ride home. They finished my car by 2PM and the problem was solved for me. Professionalism and honesty, the best.

I've taken my mom's Trax there several times for different things and these guys are honest, professional,polite, very respectful and the prices are awesome and the work is great. I'm taking my TBird to them this morning for a little boost on my ac unit and I know that they'll have it done and me back on the road quickly and it's done right. I've found our permanent car doctor as my mom says for both of our cars because of how good they are and they do not try to rip you off like most places do.Thank you to them all and may you be blessed to be around in business for a long time to come!!

Dropped in to have my brakes looked at. Not only did they check them out but we re able to get it in for servicing same day. My car feels and sounds so much better now. Definitely a fair and trustworthy establishment. Thank you!

Charge me and outrageous price $900?And my truck runs worse now than it did when it took it up there.( well thats an under statement.)And it took them a month to change an EGR valve. They even charged me for the drill bits that they used to get to screw's out that they broke off when they were trying to change it.I understand charging for labor, and parts but tools? Then they tell me it has a blown head gasket.

Eric and his crew repaired my truck perfectly .The truck had some serious problems due to age and use ,from the start He was easy going serious and was straight to the point and explained in a way the service to my vehicle would be carried out that left you well informed and no question about what would happen .Running into challenges went very smooth extra work and parts at a great price the job performed in a continuous manner until complete . They were fast and everything was done right and tight .if you need car or truck repair you can trust the big Mechanic to do only what's best for your vehicle and do it professionally . Many thanks to Eric and everyone at the Big Mechanic they did a great job on my truck.

The best place you can go to. I brought my car in to get repaired. Instead of just putting anything in there and charging me it was only the gas! Eric is honest! And they don't charge nothing for estimates! My car was there for 4 days. He worked tirelessly on my car to figure out why it wouldn't go forward. Nothing was wrong with my car only the gas and told me where to go! The best guy you can take you car too and the greatest company! I recommend this place!

First off I d like to start this review by saying THANK YOU Eric and the boys! I m very satisfied with you and your guys work! This place (big mechanic) and I have had our share of differences when Steve ran it and the mechanic were not that good AT ALL! Nevertheless with the new staff and owner running it thing have definitely changed for the better and the prices are cheaper! My caddie had 12 codes that were reading bad on the diagnostic machine! Eric told me he could fix it and he did! Really quick too! I bought it in Friday morning and it was fix by 3 pm Monday! And when I tell you that my car has never ran this good it s true! I have a hard time trusting people especially mechanic s but the boys at Big Mechanic they did me right both times I ve used them and at a reasonable price Services: Electrical repair, Engine repair

If you could give negative stars. If you want your bolts cross threaded, new things wrong once you leave then this is the place for you. Every time I have picked up my car something else would go wrong. I don't trust this nor would I recommend.

Eric and his crew were great, very friendly and efficient. Extremely reasonable prices, didn't have to wait long, didn't have an appointment, though I recommend getting there early a.m., very busy shop. Needed a new muffler and got to watch while he installed it. Thanks Big Mechanic, highly recommended!

First time doing business with this shop. Needed a major A/C repair (new evaporator, requiring complete dismantling of the dash). They gave an estimate $1000 less than a competitor. Did the work quickly and efficiently, and actually charged just a bit less than the estimate. We had an issue with our car. My husband bought and installed a brake booster in our 2013 Ford Edge. Our car wouldn't move very far before brakes locked up. Got recommendations from FB went with Big City Automotive. They came and picked up the car. They found out part was defective. Replaced part.. kept in contact the whole time. Returned car to our home. Very prompt service. Thanks Big City Automotive. Will use again!

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable and the prices are more than fair. I had a timing belt fail on my vehicle, it was a Saturday and it was close to closing time. I called Bobby and told him what was going on he told me to bring it in and they would take a look. They stayed past the closing time for me to get there and and quoted me a fair price for the repair. They fixed the vehicle and also discovered other issues and addresses them for no additional cost. I would highly recommend them for repairs they are the best in town.

I was on my way from Orlando when my 2010 Dodge died on me in the middle of the road. I first tried calling the local Dodge dealer. But after a less than pleasant phone call, I decided to try something else. Big mechanic had good reviews so I gave them a call.David was super responsive and quick, and not long after the car was in his shop. It turned out to be a rather expensive part, and David went out of his way to see if he could find a cheaper solution, used parts etc for me.The new part got installed just before closing time, all was good. Then another warning light came on, and I had to go back.Again David and his mechanic on duty went out of their way and worked on the car for another hour to hour and a half after closing time, troubleshooting every possibility. They just wouldn't give up. Finally they solved this issue to, and I was on my way home.I have such a deep respect for people with such good hearts, amazing skills, and work ethics.Hope to see this business bloom in the future!

Bobby was incredibly helpful in ensuring I was able to get the brakes on my car serviced, get back to work, and be able to pick my car up in time to make an appointment.I appreciate that there is a mechanic near by that charges a fair price. From all early observations, everything was done well and my vehicle looks like it was treated well.

Dropped my car off to have an exhaust leak fixed. They were really professional and he explained what the issue could be and said he would put it on the lift and find out exactly what it was before making any repairs. I have always taken my car to big mechanic since i moved here two years ago because of their honesty and professionalism

I recently had some service work done at Big Mechanic in Dade City.I needed brake work done. I spoke with Bobby in the office. He was very polite and displayed a wide range of knowledge.He was very patient and explained the work to me in easy to understand terms.The work was done in a timely manner and done correctly the first time.The pricing was very reasonable for the work that I had done.I would definitely recommend Big Mechanic to family and friends.The shop in Dade City is great.

I took my izuzu rodeo to them for repairs A few times and everytime I've taken it to them they have fixed problem with reasonable price and great repairs I only take my rodeo to them I trust them they do gd work

Eric and the crew did a rear main seal on my chevy S-10. Not only did they repair my truck but did it on time and under the quoted price. I don't recommend this place. NOT Even for the easiest job. I went to this shop for an easy muffler job. The price is about the same as any other muffler shops, and the service is poor. I just went there because it's closer to my house. I left my car to get the mufflers changed and after one hour I received a call saying that my car was ready, but when I got there the mufflers weren't even. One of the mufflers was too low compared to other the other muffler. So I had to leave the car to get the issue fixed. When I left it and came back to pick it up the mufflers were still not even. One of the mufflers was clearly tilted compared to the other one. So I had to leave the carand come back to finally have it done right. It took them three tries to get the job done. If your time is precious, don't go there.

WARNING DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!If I could give them zero stars I would most definitely do so! Called on Friday the 25th and scheduled an appointment to bring my car in because the temperature gauge was showing it was overheating. The guy I spoke with gave me a choice of days. Chose Tuesday since it was my day off (which I informed him). Took my car in at 8am per the scheduled time, but they didn't "open, until after 8am... Informed the guy behind the counter what I had called in about and they found me in their system, handed my keys over, and he went to attend another person (had to wait to ask for an estimated time which was "We'll have it done later today."). Had not heard from them all day so at 4:39pm I called and found out they had not even looked into my car and they said, "sounds like a ," and they would have it ready by lunch the next day... I'm sorry, but a sensor malfunction wouldn't register a car overheating, bit the exact opposite! Ended up going to pick my car up without it being fixed. They squandered an entire day and made excuses and gaslighting the situation rather than being accountable for their incompetence.Strangely and emphatically do NOT recommend!Service: Vehicle maintenance
