Last june our ac didn't work. It'd blow out air but not cold. Took it in they said the whole thing needed replaced but they couldn't guarantee it unless we did the whole new system with a warranty. 1,795 later it still didnt work after we picked it up it blew hard and a little cool. We didn't have time to leave it again. We were out of state for a couple months when we came back took it back in they replaced the whole system again. It now worked but only if the temp was around 80 if any hotter the air didn't get cold. It still did not work wasn't very cold at all. Only at night when it's cooler. We go to south Carolina for a week and my old man and an old man that worked at oreillys saw a very small hose that was almost broke in half. He put a little tiny plastic cover over and taped it and now THE AIR WORKS GREAT! For free. After reading a bunch of reviews i see they do this a lot. This place is a scam they just tell everyone they need a new system to make 2000 off every person.It's Matt Smith maybe under Matthew

I have been coming to this particular location for over 20 years. I absolutely love the staff. They're very professional. To get my car in and out quickly.They have done major repairs. And minor repairs. On two of my Rangers. And my Impala. Which I still own and they all currently run.I always come to them when I buy a new vehicle and make them check it first. The Owner & manager Rick Campbell never trys to oversell me I don't need!!The walls are lined with Awards, to prove other people experience the same customer service that I do.Some people don't know this but Rick also holds a Toys for Tots toy drive to support the United States Marine corpse and he does this every year!!!I don't know where you're going to get your car repairs done. But you might want to reconsider and come here. They also sell this really awesome coupon book that I drive them nuts with for $89. And it includes 4 free oil changes, free windshield wiper blades. 20% off any repair. And the list goes on and on.I'm not a friend or relative. And I don't know him personally. But I know work ethic when I see it. Go see Rickand tell him i said hi!!

Great small business. Never had a bad experience. I love that they always do the toys for tots. I have to say it was so nice to hear a female voice when I called to make an appointment. Keep up the great work.

Under my recommendation, my son (whom lives in Orlando) took his Nissan Kicks here and it was diagnosed as needing a new A/C system installed (which he knew due to another quote he had received). The part was ordered, it arrived quickly and my son returned to Crystal River to get the work done. Tiffany (the receptionist) was wonderful to deal with... as was Rick. The pricing was fair for what was done and my son got the car back well before the 8 hours mentioned to him that the job would take. He (and mom) are very satisfied also with the 2 year guarantee placed on the A/C. I would highly recommend this shop and DO ask for Rick when needing a quote. A+ and if our Camry and/or Dodge Pick-up ever needs work on the A/C then my husband and I will know where to go, too.

This review comes with all honesty and we couldn t be more thrilled and thankful for this team over here! We are van travelers that were passing by crystal springs area and unfortunately our A/c compressor got busted from a previous situation. Tiffany up front was an absolute angel, answered any questions we had & beyond and made us feel so safe and welcomed. Wayne was incredible, very knowledgeable, caring and hard working. For real! He took care of everything we needed on the spot. Couldn t ask for a better price and got our van in the shop within the blink of an eye. Our van was back up and running 4 hours later, same day and we were back on our travels better than ever!! Recommend this place to anyone in need!!

I was nervous about getting my car fixed and being that my car is older it makes me even nervous. But this place is none like I've ever seen, they're very patient, as I have so many questions and the owner and the technician never made me feel like I'm bothering them and always took the time to explain to me what they honestly thought.I asked if they think I'd need to get anything else fixed or done, and at most places they would have suggested something else for me to fix, but Rick simply said, the engine sounds like it's running fine, nothing would need fixing now. This is truly an honest shop with great service and kind folks. Thank you guys and I'll definitely be coming back for my other needs. -Ivan

This was my first time here, based on reviews it seemed like a good place to go. Well I'm glad I did, they were super friendly and quick to make a spot for me in their schedule especially when I told them I was leaving town at the end of the week. I needed my AC replaced, the whole system pretty much is what 2 other shops told me, this shop agreed after looking but helped make sure I stayed within my budget. I called Monday, dropped my vehicle Tuesday and got it back Wednesday. My AC is super cold and my car was left the way I had it when I dropped it. You couldn't tell anyone had been in my car which was not the experience I've had at other shops. I will be going here for future needs, super friendly, budget conscious, quick and reliable. Thank you!!!

So I Went in and wanted my check engine light issues fixed and to make sure my car was ok because I was smelling burning. They mentioned that my thermostat needed to be swapped and that they would let me know when a part for the car would come in. Told me my suspension was worn and I should have it done. Unexpectedly left spending almost $2000 for what I asked for and then some.I followed up with them and still never got answers about the part they told me they ordered. They told me they would call me and now here we are . consecutive months later ..and still no call.Now I live an hour away and couldn t be bothered to dealing with any of it. Steer clear of businesses that don t follow up with customers after they pay.Highway robbery.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

I have been going to Ice Cold Air, in Crystal River Florida, for 10 years. Rick Campbell, and his team are, in my opinion, the only honest car repair group in town. They have worked on both of my cars for years. Today, I called Tiffany to see about getting an unscheduled, last minute oil and filter change. No problem at all. I was there in an hour. Barnett, the technician, was fast, and very efficient. Topped off all of the fluids, checked the tire pressures, and performed the oil and filter change immediately upon my arrival. Not only are Rick and his team excellent, his prices are the lowest in town. I will continue to take both of my cars to Rick, Tiffany, and Barnett. Thank you very much.

Brought my car in this morning because my ac was blowing warm air. I also asked them to check my brakes. The ac was fixed so quick and they told me I did not need brakes. Super impressed with them from beginning to end. Will for certain continue to bring my vehicle to them. Unfortunately, my experience here was the absolute worst I've ever had...bar none. Called and scheduled oil change for this afternoon. This was my first (and now last) time to use ice cold air. Pulled into parking lot. No signs, directions, etc, but there are what look like chain link barriers preventing a car from entering stalls from one side. So I drove around to the other side of the car stall. Parked. Got out and asked an employee if it was ok to leave my car here, but instead of the employee who I asked to answer, another man who was entering the office made a nasty and condescending remark as if I was complete fool for not knowing what to do...again, my first time, no signs, no directions, nothing. So I park and walk in office. I get to the desk and the rude condescending man (late 50's or early-mid 60's, slim, bald, glasses) was on phone so lady asked to help me. I said, "I think he's upset about me not knowing the procedure for service here". He snapped and made nasty comment and told me to get out and go somewhere else. I happily left. I will share with everyone I come into contact with my horrible experience at ice cold air. I hope this helps someone... P.s. full disclosure... I was 3 minutes late, however, I did call to let them know and the lady on phone said "no problem".

Rick and his staff are amazing. I rely on them for all my car care. Countless times over the years they have rescued me from my auto ailments. No matter how busy they are they treat me like I am a priority. That is a rarity in today's world of big business. No wonder Rick's shop has become the place so many car owners trust. I am grateful beyond words.

Good business to work with. We had a starter issue in our spare vehicle. I had it towed in and we were fixed up in a couple of days. After getting home the issue was back. I took my 2014 Mustang in because the air would not even kick on. The gentleman told me worst case scenario was $1,500 best case scenario was $126. I told him I was afraid that if they troubleshoot the problem and it was expensive and that I could not afford to fix I would be out whatever it cost to troubleshoot. He told me if that were the case he would set the system back to how it was when I dropped the car off and he would not charge me at all for the service. When I called later in the day to find out how my car was doing, he said it was $136 and it was fixed. I highly recommend them because of the fairness and honesty. Excellent job hopefully I don't have to see you again but if I do I know where I'll go.update, when I picked up the car the first time they did tell me that the engine control module was showing signs of failure and that the air may or may not work properly. Unfortunately their diagnosis was very correct it was the engine control module as well. I brought the car in for them to change the ECM and program the PATS key system, and now my air is working great!! They took great care of my car both times. They treated my car respectfully, I didn't find any grease or mess in or on the car like I have at other places. I cannot speak highly enough of these people at Ice Cold Air ofCrystal River, if I ever have air conditioning needs again they will be my first call.Service: Air conditioning

I'll try and keep this short. I went in for routine oil change. After getting vehicle back, was WORSE than before. Called and spoke to owner/ manager Rick and he had a tow truck pick up vehicle next morning (not cheap as I live 30 minutes away) and he footed the bill. Fixed within a few hours with updated specialized oil filter at no cost. For my troubles, he gave me something extra (won't disclose in case he doesn't do for everyone). What could have been a nightmare, he turned into a great experience. GRADE A CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Rich and his group are great to work with. Got my cars in quickly on major car issues that prevented me from driving safely. Made sure everything was correct and stand by their work.Price for brakes versus going to the BMW was night and day.Highly recommend using Ice Cold Air and will be my first call for any vehicle issues

Had a problem with my wife's car. Look at several repair shops but only 1, Ice Cold Discount Auto, focused on all autos. (Our car is a 2010 Hyunai with 77000 + miles. The repair was.on time and reasonable for all that was needed. Will return

I love ice cold air, everyone is so friendly and the owner is always looking to make sure his customers are taken care of. I went in for a simple oil change and asked him if the mechanic could just look and see why my car was squeaking. He not only looked at it, he discovered it was my alternator belt and tightened it at no charge. Little things like this truley make this a wonderful company. God bless.

He runs the business with integrity and willingness to work with you whatever your automotive problems are. If he can't fix it, he will suggest someone who can and do it right.

My A/C abruptly stopped producing cold air. I am an Engineer and decided to try and evaluate. The compressor clutch would not engage. This typically happens, when the charge is low. I know it was charged, because the A/C was keeping the car very comfortable in 90+ temperatures. I made an appointment with a well-respected company for a Free Evaluation and they verified that the compressor did not come on and told me that I needed to replace my whole A/C system for a cost of $1200. They would not guarantee anything, if they just replaced a portion of the system. I told them I would get another opinion.I took my car to Ice Cold Air, for their Free Evaluation.The owner, Rick called me and said that my system was properly charged and the compressor was bad.The total system needed replaced, for a total of $1,650. I questioned whether he tested the clutch on the compressor and he said that the clutch was an integral part of the compressor. I asked how he knew that the compressor was bad and he said that it was locked up and would not turn.I did not want spend that much money, without further investigation. I found out how to check my compressor clutch, by bypassing the relay and it still did not engage. I checked the wiring to the clutch and, low and behold, the wire was not connected. It was in plain sight once I saw it. I soldered the wire and the clutch still would not engage. I checked the charge and found that the system was empty and holding a vacuum. I added refrigerant and the air conditioner was functioning as before. This company pulled my Freon and wanted me to spend $1650 for a complete A/C system replacement. When all that was needed, was a wire to be reconnected.BEWARE OF FREE EVALUATIONS IF YOUR A/C IS NOT WORKING THEY WILL WANT YOU TO REPLACE EVERYTHING! THEY WILL NOT EVEN TRY TO FIND A INEXPENSIVE PROBLEM! My research saved me $1650. My A/C system was fine.Service: Air conditioning

Went to get estimate for ac repair......they told me they needed to replace whole system for a cost of almost 1500.... Took to Larry's auto and had ac compressor only replaced and pupming cold ac again! 400 with labor at Larry's Auto. Ice cold air tried to take me for a loop! Thank God i didnt just jump on their offer and got a second opinion.Service: Air conditioning
