It's great for an overnight stay or two. Unfortunately it's right next to interstate 10. As a full-time person , I'm used to being close to the highway at times so we were able to sleep. There is another side of the which is further away from the but those spots were all taken the day we were there.Oh and head over to the little corral to see the cute little animals and a horse that they have at the campground. One place you have to check out if you decide to stay there is right down in the next little town a place called Michael D's. Best barbecue you'll have! The owner is wonderful and she goes above and beyond to make you stay pleasant. Our T-Mobile home and our cell phones had strong connections.

This place was the perfect stop over! Easy on and off the Interstate! Very close access to I-10. Clean and very well kept. Our site was a pull thru/50 amp and it was a nice level site again easy access. Plenty of walking grassy zones to walk pets. Owner Rhonda was super friendly and nice. To top it all off my price with Good Sam discount was $45.We have a 37 ft Class A pulling a Jeep so our pull thru site was perfect! We will definitely keep this location in mind for future travels stop over!

It's a small campground that has a new owner over the past two years. She is slowly making improvements and although off of Interstate 10 it's very inviting. Super friendly and clean campground.. It even has a horse, goats and chickens to greet you when entering.. lots of trails for those who enjoy a leisurely stroll.. Definitely worth the trip..

Easy going and laid back, this is a great full hooku park to take it easy and relax. This is not a resort campground. So if you're looking for pools, hot tubs and bingo, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for an overnight or longer to just enjoy some nice walking trails and a small campground experience, then this is a great stop on your journey. It's especially nice for those looking for an overnight right off the freeway. It's a really convenient hop off, hop on stop for longer journeys.

The two ladies that manage this campground know Southern charm. We felt so welcome. It was a one night stop and full hook-ups worked perfectly. Nice walking path that went by a pond. Dog exercise area. No pool or clubhouse so they keep the price low which is what we like. It's more fun to use the money we save to go eat with the locals at the Mom and Pop restaurants and appreciate the area's charm.

Close to I-10 and can hear cars. Weak wifi and no internet. We were able to watch TV with antenna. We couldn't use cell phones at the site, and we had to walk to the office to get reception. Nice manager. Gravel site was level and solid, no problem. Full hookup. Nice place.

We stayed at campground for 4 months, Dec thru Mar. It was perfect, and Vonda could not have been nicer. Loved our site. Every day we spent time with Manny and Dash, an added bonus of a mustang and pony. The wooded hiking trails were a bonus too. Will be happy to get back next December .

Beautiful park, mostly level sites. Lots of big rigs towing trailers here. Wonderful host. The park has horses corralled which were a lovely site to see after a long day on the highway. There is a game area with cornhole, lawn bowling, and a net (badminton? ).I don't have a dog but there appeared to be a nice fenced dog park with toys for your fur friends. The park is very conveniently located by the highway which means you always have the highway noise. The traffic died down considerably after 10 pm.Overall, we were very pleased with this park and would definitely stay here again.

We love this CG! Close to I-10 with a LOVES at the same exit. The owner/proprietor Vonda is awesome and makes sure you are welcomed and comfortable! She escorts each arrival to their site and lays down a green mat by your door entry. There is a campfire ring, which she fills for a roaring fire for you to enjoy! She has several animals on the CG (rabbits, goat, horse, dogs, and cats), which are VERY friendly and if you have children they will love them! Several downed trees from hurricane Michael, but the CG is fully operational. Excellent free WIFI throughout the CG. We have been here a few times now and it is a great stopping point for us!

This park is exactly what we needed after a long day of driving. Most easy on - easy off RV parks are little more than parking lots or end-of-the-line mobile home parks. Not so with the Hitchin Post. The owners were great right from the start and were a joy to visit with. They have done a great job developing the park with fame areas, fishing ponds, a wildflower maze, paddle boats, and of course horse corrals. This is a work in progress but it will only get better. The road noise is the road noise. Not much that can be done about that: it is I-10, one of the most heavily traveled routes in the US. Take a walk and smell the honeysuckle and listen to the birds instead.

VONDA, the owner, is wholeheartedly dedicated to running her park despite losing her husband several years ago. Hurricane Michael did extensive damage there, but you can see she and her workers have come a long ways. From the moment you arrive to the entrance (with painted fences) to Vonda's camper and beyond, it is a very COLORFUL AND PATRIOTIC place to visit. You can feed KOI FISH and HORSES! Most sites are long, pull-thru sites so everyone loves that.Passport America is accepted here and rates are reasonable. Discounts for MILITARY and SENIORS.Only drawbacks are no bathhouse, close to I-10 so you hear traffic, and the sites are close together so our neighbors literally sat under our awning's edge with their chairs.

We stayed 3 nights on our way to Destin Beach FL. We chose this location to be able to visit Florida State Cavers and Falling waters state park. The manager was friendly and very helpful! There is complimentary firewood on your stay and a green carpet for the entrance of your RV. They have several pull-through sites. We had full bars signal for AT&T and Verizon which was awesome! It's a nice quiet campground, no loud neighbors. They also have a horse, playground swing, and slide for the kids, dog area, lake for fishing, or going on Paddle Boats. There is a monster truck for rent and you can ride in a special track area. I highly recommend it!

This is a small RV park located right off Interstate 10. We stayed here for 7 nights in January 2023, and experienced good and bad during our stay. The GOOD....the owner was lovely, very friendly and helpful. The park is clean and looks to be well-maintained. Sites are gravel with some grass and all seemed fairly level. We had full hook-ups at our site. The BAD....there are no bathrooms/showers, no wi-fi, very little cell service, and our site was literally about 50' off of Interstate 10, (see picture of our site as we were pulling out to leave...you can imagine how many 18-wheelers passed by us during our 7 day stay), so the traffic noise was endless. It kept us awake almost every night, and was even worse during the day. There were other sites that were further from the highway, but apparently those weren't available for our stay. We paid $289.86 for 7 nights, (that included our Escapees Discount), and I thought this was a bit high for the quality of our stay. Although the owner was extremely nice, we would probably not stay here again.

We were welcomed as if we were family. My wife and I are in between homes and were need of a RV park with reasonable long term camping. We ll we have been enjoying our stay here at HitchinPost Corral & RV park for two months. This park is just off the I-10, two gas stations, five places to eat within a half mile. Extremely Convenient!!Happy to say we have found a new home and will be leaving soon. A happy thing but will miss this place.

This place was really great! We needed a place to stop for the night and were pleasantly surprised! Vonda is a phenomenal host that takes care of her property. The love shows! No bathrooms or laundry available, but the Love s across the street has it if you need it. We felt very safe and welcome. Definitely would stay there again!

It s very pretty. The lady was so kind and generous. Let us stay and it was so last minute on a holiday. It s not expensive at all and it s so spread open. There s a fishing pond. She has pony s your kids can pet and go see. Just adult supervision of course. Her sites are very easy to access and set quick even with a trailer or car trailer hooked up. Stop in it s a great place.

This was our second stay here passing through. We stayed 3 nights and it was very reasonably priced. Both times we had a lovely pull through site with full hook up and a large beautiful grassy area where our two small dogs could run with supervision. Vonda the owner is so nice and accommodating she even lent us a pen so the dogs could have more freedom. The place is well maintained with lots of beautiful trees and flowers. You have to be fully contained because there are no facilities but believe me it s a lovely restful place to stay .If the noise from the interstate will be a problem then don t pick a place right off I10.

1st let me thank you for sharing your experiences at this hidden gem . This was our first stay here, just an overnighter. We've been Rving for 28+ years and full-time for 16 and have stayed at more than a few campgrounds. This is not a 5 star Resort with a swim up bar. It is however a clean and well maintained campground. We felt very safe and comfortable. Easy access on and off I 10 and didn't have any issues with road noise. The owner Vonda offers a wide variety of discounts. We are now going to be returning customers.

Cute little campground. She had a dog park for the pups to run around in. A little goldfish pond. Some trails in the area. We stayed here to get to the Caverns and Falling waters park. Sites are decent, full hookups and has a table at each site. Owner is very friendly!

To start, the owner Vonda is such a sweet lady and also very accommodating. We were staying for 2 nights but due to some mechanical issues needed to stay a couple more days. The park is clean, sites are level and well planned out. The grounds are pretty with flowers at each site. You can tell this campground was well thought out and run with love. There is some road noise but it didn t dampen our stay. Stop in and enjoy and tell Vonda, Debra sent you.

Yes I would definitely recommend the Hitchinpost. Greeted by 3 staff excited and happy. A little pricey $50 for one night but I failed to ask for any discounts.

Hitchin Post RV has become our favorite stopover! A true hidden gem! We were lucky to be able to spend a week this year and wish it could have been longer. It is so conveniently located right off Rt 10, gas stations across from the campground, grocery $ places to eat close by. Vonda the owner lives on site, a very hard worker and compassionate lady, truly keeps her campground beautiful. We had an issue with our awning and Vonda came to our rescue immediately. Thank you Vonda. Very family & pet friendly and big rig friendly for sure. Long, level spacious sites. Look forward to returning.

Great place to stop in for the night. The owner was super friendly and led us to our site after 9 PM. Plenty of room to maneuver our 43 ft motor home, well lit and clean. It is just off the highway with a Love s truck stop with a McDonald s, and another service station less than a mile away. Nightly rate was $40 but she offers discounts. We will be using this location again when in the area.
