From the moment I walked in, Felipe's honesty and approachability were evident. He took the time to understand my concerns, answered all my questions, and explained the diagnostics in a clear and straightforward manner. I believe this place overcharged me.While they're more expensive than others ($125 for an oil change when others charge 50% of that), I used them because they seemed honest.However, they charged me over $400 and then over $200 on successive visits.Also, they rotated my tires 2x in less than 5,000 miles and also the check engine light came on numerous times when I had my car with them.They also encouraged me to change my oil every 3,000 miles, when the manufacturer tells us that 10,000 is enough.In my opinion, they recommended this because they believed that we were "easy money".I now bring my car to one of their competitors that charges 50% of what they did and who is actually honest.I believe it's best to beware of this shop because I believe that they took advantage of me.

These guys have helped me so much. I'm a young man who was looking to have a car modified for the first time but really had no idea where to start. Regular auto shops really couldn't help me with what I was looking for but these guys here are pros. You gotta talk to the owner Phil. He walked me through and explained all the steps I'd need to take to get me where I wanted my car. Modifying a car isn't cheap and it can be nerve-racking spending money on something you're unsure about. Phil really took that feeling away and made this a fun exciting process for me. Definitely a lifetime customer. Thanks Phil and all his great staff that works there! Vroom vroom

Today I stopped by to get my two Acura s service, met with the new owner, discussed what I needed done. Felipe was very helpful and was able to get them both done without appointments in the same day. I really appreciate the service and will return in the future.

This has been my mechanic since I moved to CS with an old Honda years ago. Now I have a newer vehicle and the shop has a new owner, but I still prefer North Springs for the more personal feel and trust them to keep my car running perfectly.

They charge $120+ for an oil change and then they exploited me by doing unnecessary work. I brought my car here, they charged me $450. We have a 2015 Toyota Prius that just stopped running. At first it appeared to be a battery issue. Since we still had warranty on the battery, we took it to Lipton Toyota on Oakland Park Blvd. We requested a battery test. They kept the car for a few days, never diagnosed it. When we finally got a call, they told us the battery was ok just to avoid using the warranty. Lipton Toyota (Ryan-British accent) instead told us we needed to pay $680 to diagnose the car. We declined the offer to shell out $680 for a diagnosis and we towed the car back home. Another auto repair said it is an ECM(main computer issue) but they were not willing to keep the car until the parts come in.I personally made a few google searches for a Japanese auto repair shop a few days later. Luckily, I stumbled upon North Springs Japanese Car Care. Chris answered the phone and I told him briefly that I needed to have him replace my ECM because Lipton Toyota tested the battery and they said the battery is ok. Chris transferred me to Felipe, and at the very opening, I knew I was talking to someone honest, someone who really just wanted to help. Usually auto repair personnel go for the jugular, especially when it is a woman calling. Felipe was patient and compassionate as he tried to explain to me what is possible. He told me if anyone could diagnose the car, he could, but in all his years of experience, it is rare that ECM is the first go-to. He said he is not comfortable proceeding with someone else's recommendation until he diagnose the vehicle himself. The diagnosis fee was extremely reasonable, so we agreed. Well would you believe we just got the call from Felipe and the battery indeed required changing? That is the same battery Lipton Toyota told me they checked and it was ok. Lipton Toyota lied to us.We are so grateful to Chris and Felipe because they showed us they car and they ultimately solved our problem. Moreover, they are reasonably priced, professional and honest.They have earned our business and our referrals. Do not hesitate to call them. If they can help you they will do it with great aplomb.Services: Electrical, Battery

As a women dealing with car service is one of my least favorite things to do. I recently had a problem with my 2017 Hyundai and went to the dealership to see what was wrong. Well, they lived up to all the horrible things people say about dealerships. I was fortune enough to call N.Springs Japanese Car Care and saved close to $1,000. Not only that, the guys in the shop (new owner included) have treated me like family. I have taken it back since then for new brakes and again received the same kind, fair, in my best interest (not theirs) treatment. Highly recommend this shop.

I originally found this business because of its great reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was negative.They charge around $125 for an oil change, which is high, but I was willing to pay it to find a trustworthy mechanic.However, they charged me $424.53 on November 8, 2022 and then $225.02 on February 24, 2023.This is a 2021 Highlander that's in great shape, yet...they told me that they had to rotate the tires 2x in 4,000 miles.Then, the check engine light came on 2x in 4,000 miles.Also, we change our oil every 5,000 miles yet Toyota tells people to change it every 10,000 miles.North Springs Japanese Car Care told my wife to come in every 3,000 miles to change her oil!Lol. They wanted my wife to change her oil more than 3x more often than Toyota recommends.Of course... if you're going to charge $400 every time and rotate the tires every time then it's easy money.I now bring my car to a competitor who charges $65, in total, to change the oil and haven't had any issues since!In my opinion, I think it's best to beware of this shop because it seems that they take advantage of people.

I had a great experience with North Springs Japanese Car Care. I live in Miami and own a 1990 Miata that is heavily modified and was nervous to bring it anywhere in Miami. I chose this shop because of the reviews and they were right! They are extremely knowledgeable and kind. I was provided with video and photo text updates and explanations of everything. There were some issues I've been having for a very long time that other shops have said they fixed but haven't. These guys did it all. The pricing was also very generous and I felt very safe leaving my car with these guys. I will definitely return. Now that my car is repaired I'm excited to make it faster! I would recommend to anyone wanting a straightforward and honest mechanic who enjoys working on your vehicle. I was experiencing issues with my AC system and brought my Lexus in to get it checked out. I met with Felipe who was very personable and knowledgeable about my car. Felipe and his team got me squared away and back on the road with freezing cold AC in no time. I've been looking for a new shop I can rely on, and it looks like I have found it. I believe that this is a dishonest place. Took advantage of my wife. Make sure to buy your own OBD meter because, even for very basic things because it seems that they will jack up the price. I would never trust this place again.

Hands down, the best and most honest auto shop in South Florida. Ask for Felipe, the man is a superstar. Takes care of you like family and steers you the right direction every time. I have taken my 2022 Genesis G70 to the shop and has been worked on by the masterful, skillful and professional Phillipe. He has always been extremely courteuos professional and knowledgeable. He has tuned the car with a jb4 tune and installed an intercooler and lastly brembo brakes. Through the installation of the brembo calipers, rotors and brake pads He again showed his extreme skill and knowledge as after speaking with numerous individuals that had many years of experience with brakes said it was not possible. Whereas Phillippe was able skillfully and professionally able to install the brembo brake system. When it comes to any future customization for my car there is only one individual I trust to do the work and that is Phillippe and the other skillful,knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy mechanics at North Sprigs Japanes car care.Service: Brake service & repair

My family and I have been going to Dominic for many years, and he is as honest as the day is long! Don't let the name fool you, he does terrific and honest work on my Range Rover and Cadillac. Whatever the problem, he is realistic and gives great advice both for near-term solutions and probable future issues. Before I buy a car, I always get his opinion regarding reliability and brand history. Dominic is also the NICEST GUY!

First and foremost I was desperate for help because my tire couldn t hold air and I commute back and forth with my daughter. I called and spoke to Dominic who told me to come right in. I was greeted by his daughter who was so sweet and Dominic joined right after. He checked out my car, told me there was a nail, fixed it and sent me on my way with no charge. I really wasn t expecting such a kind gesture but a small act of kindness goes a long way! Thank you Dominic for being so kind.I ll be sure to send everyone with car needs to you!May you be repaid a million times over!

We were promptly seen after we drove over. Told them we were hearing minor noises in the car, so they test-drove it, hoisted it, and then explained in detail what was up with our wheels/struts. They were honest/forthright about costs and never pushed us for any additional services. We're very grateful that we were not charged, despite their time and labor. They genuinely respect you, care about your car, and deserve good business. Many thanks!

I can't say enough good things. I've been taking my own cars here for years. Always a good price and honest analysis. We just inherited a car and it had been checked out for a rattle by multiple sites including the dealership. We brought the car in for a normal oil change and Dominic diagnosed a major issue related to the rattle that could have stranded my daughter. The same issue the dealership said wasn't an issue!

Great experience. They were very professional. Such an easy process. My husband was able to pick up our car the same day it was towed. Which by the way they assisted with having it towed. We would totally recommend this place.

I am EXTREMELY HAPPY, IMPRESSED, EXCITEDDOMINIC IS HONEST!I WAA TOLD I NEEDED AN A/C COMPRESSOR for my 2009 CIVIC HONDA by Tires Plus-$900 after they charged me $98.00 service fee to find out. What EXACTLY was wrong. With my broken a/c.I was told to get a 2nd opinionWell DOMINIC found the problem was a/c relay switch ..less then $150 ..fixed. My Honda. Had a noise coming from my passenger side front wheel. I let Dominic look at it, BAM!!!! Fixed before lunch! A dealer would have charged me a small fortune to repair it. This shop was inexpensive, fast and hands down a great place to take your car to get fixed!
