Bought tires that leaked air, couldn't tell they were dry rotted till after they were mounted, tires were almost flat when we got home. Owner could not replace with used. So wanted to push us into new tires. We finally got most of our money back. He refused to refund mounting and balancing.This is a good place to stay away from, all they care about is taking your hard earned money.Then replies with a factually incorrect response. We spent 30 minutes trying to find the right size tires for the vehicle, we called the next day after we got home an hour later you were closed. You tried to push new tires. We returned the bad trash tires a week later, after having multiple phone conversations, it's better than a 2 hour round trip to get to you. You are the one taking money from hard working Americans, your reviews show it pretty clearly.

Didn't get the gentleman name but he was very professional gave me a quote and took about 10mins to get a used tire and a new stem

Every time I have called upon this shop, they have been there for me. I m always grateful for the work quality, punctuality, and price. I can only hope for this type of professionalism from all of the businesses I interact with! They help car troubles not be so aggravating, and that s impressive.Thank you to Petr and the crew for all you do!

Brought my car in with a popped tire, was in and out. The staff are extremely friends and honest workers. This is the only shop we use now on a regular basis as they're honest, affordable, and overall exceed expectations.

Had to bring my girlfriend's car in after her tire blew out. Not only did they have the size in stock, but we werent there for more than 20 minutes before it was road ready again. Petr was very professional, easy to talk to, and empathetic of our situation, even going as far to say that he'd wait for us to get there via tow before leaving so that he could help us with our situation. The price wasnt bad at all either!

Don't waste your time with this place. They will tell you on the phone they still have the tires listed just to bring you in and say they are sold and try to sell you a set in worse shape for the same price. Do not recommend at all.

It was a Saturday, and my car desperately needed a AC compressor replacement. I could no longer put it off, so I decided to try them out and see if they could fit me in, and they did :) Petr, the owner, was very professional, and gave me the best price in town! His mechanic was able to have my car ready by 3pm. My car is one of the worst models to work on, and I am very pleased with their work. It has been over a month now, and my AC is still blowing cold! Thank you!!!!

This place is a complete scam. I brought my Acura here for a simple Oil pan gasket replacement and the mechanic is a complete dumb dumb. Doesn't even know how to do this simplest task. I was charged for work they did not complete.After bringing the car back because the oil pan gasket was still leaking, they refused to even check their own work.The owner was drinking on the job and was drunk when I came back with the same issue. I paid $150 for them not to fix anything. What a joke!The owner even removed his reviews on Facebook because he had a 2.1 out of 5 stars.Please stay away from this place. They will scam you and not stand behind any work they do!I will be contacting the city of Clearwater to have this business reviewed and hopefully put out of business!

I bought a car from this place 2 weeks ago and the guy was decently friendly told me he changed the oil, the air filter, and the spark plugs. After one full day of owning it I decide to check the air filter.... No filter, check the spark plugs... Completely burnt, and the oil, black and watery. So I decide to take the car to get the oil changed at a local Walmart. Upon lifting the vehicle, they find that the oil drain plug is stripped therefore they had to decline the vehicle. 5 days later on my way to work, the car bogged and lost power. I towed it to my local mechanic to find out the crankshaft is bent because I spun a bearing which was caused due to the horrific oil state. The salesman declined any responsibility and just told me to talk to his lawyer. Now I need to buy a new engine. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, unless your looking for a project car already broken.

I have went to 49th St. Auto Repair for over 3 years since I moved to Clearwater...they are very straightforward and honest. I have had my oil changed, tires replaced and had the car worked on a couple of times for its radiator hose and a wheel hub breaking off...they are very friendly and honest...in fact, I trust them compared to other places I have went..anybody posting a bad review I see is from buying a car from them...I guess they never heard that they should get a full inspection after purchasing a vehicle to be safe...I highly recommend them to anybody who wants honest, professional work for their car :)

They intentionally damaged my radiator cap, which started to make the car overheat. Prior to me bringing the car to them, it never once over heated. This is an epic scam people like this do. Damage the radiator cap so the car slightly over heats so you can bringing it back to them. This place is an epic scam.

Checked out VINs on 4 cars they have on their site. All of them are grossly understated mileage in their ads.Very dishonest dealer.

HAD TO LEAVE A STAR BUT SHOULD BE NEGATIVE STARS! HAD THIS GUY PETR DO A PAINT JOB FOR ME AND LETS JUST SAY ITS A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!! THIS PLACE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO REMOVE TRIM, PAINT, YET ALONE PREP THE CAR RIGHT. 2 MONTHS AND THE CAR HAS YELLOWED, CHIPPED AND SURFACE RUST HAS CAME BACK TO THE SURFACE BECAUSE CAR WAS NOT PREPPED RIGHT. HAD MORE DINGS LEAVING THE PLACE THEN WHEN IT ARRIVED! STRAIGHT HACK. THIS GUY PETR AND HIS 49TH STREET AUTO SALES IS JUST A HACK.
